A disc being stuck in your drive is not something Apple can send out a software/firmware update to you for. These are system specific issues that you have several ways to address on your own or you can take it in for servicing.
Since you did not tell "all the things" you did to try and resolve it, I am going to give a run down of the things you can do on your own.
-Hold down the eject key
-Hold down your mouse button on start-up
-Launch Disk Utility ("Go" on the default menu bar>Utilities>Disk Utility) and locate the disc and press the eject button
There is an open firmware command you might find online, but it is for PPC only.
If that does not fix it, you have a few options, you can take it into a service provider and have them take it out or if you are not covered under a warranty, you can remove the optical drive on your own, take it apart and remove the disc yourself.

Your DVD won't eject?
Restart the MacBook - as it is restarting, hold the trackpad button down. This will force it to eject. The disk should eject before you get to the login screen or desktop.

If you want Apple to address your problems, the first requirement is to reproduce the problem with no third-party kernel extensions present.
Most users find that when the eliminate the third-party kernel extensions, they eliminate the kernel panics.
The black screens could also be caused by your graphics card beginning to go.

DVD will not eject

A DVD in the slot-loading drive will not eject. My iBook reads the disk as it appears on my desktop and I can play the DVD. But as soon as I hit the eject key (F12), it makes a weird sound, like it's trying to eject, but the DVD will not eject. Can some one tell me what I can do? I have tried all the normal procedures, like holding the track pad while starting up, doing the Firmware thing at start-up, etc... All I get is the weird spinning sound, but no disk ejected. When open firmware doesn't work, it sounds like a hardware problem with the ejector. I would take the machine into service and let them know you tried the open firmware method.

And note that disks which have been written on by sharpie or other type of pen, or a sticky applied to them can cause the drive to age prematurely. DVD Will Not Eject, iDVD Restarts Itself Over and Over

I have a DVD that simply will not eject itself no matter what. Instead, it starts to eject, then iDVD starts up, and begins to play the DVD. I have unchecked "Start DVD" in iDVD's preferences and reviewed the forum articles about stuck DVDs. Reboot does not help Safe Boot does not help. Restart wth right mouse button held down does not help, perhaps because my mouse is Apple and there is no Right Mouse Button?
I'm not about to enter terminal commands because I have no idea of what I'm ding at teh system level. Any ideas?

HI,
Try restarting your iMac while holding down the eject key.
If that didn't help, open Disk Utility (Applications / Utilities).
Select the disk on the left side of the window then click the Blue eject button in the menu.

However, one thing that works on many Mac products is to restart the computer and hold down the mouse button while the computer boots.

After backing up the machine, I took what I thought was the correct installation disk and booted from the CD/DVD. I erased the hard disk using the Disk Utility. Hello, hold the mouse button down while booting up to eject it.
The original Disc would be gray.
If you don't know the model, find the Serial# & use it on one of these sites, but don't post the Serial# here...
