Win7 x64 cannot install iTunes 10.5.1

Everytime i try to install itunes i get this error...
An error occurred during the installation of assembly'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,publicKeyTok… type="win32',version="8.0.50727.6195",pr… Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x800736b3
Some one please help? I am also having problems with windows update.
All my updates have been failing with Error: 80070643, and other errors starting with 8007.
If you're having this problem i'd suggest you go to your updates too and take a look at them. Somthing is corrupted but i'm not sure what to do. Some one please help?

Scan, check and fix your windows system file.
START / ALL PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / right mouse click Administrator
In the Command prompt window, type in
SFC /SCANNOW
This will scan, fix and update windows system file.
Restart computer after it's done and see if it helps.

  • I cannot install Itunes 10.1.1 on Windows 7 x64...

    Hi all!!
I bought my ipod touch two days ago. But I cannot install iTunes on my pc.
I downloaded Itunes for x64 pc and I ran it as admin. So it starts and it stops ends the installation process and saying me -in italian language- "Si sono verificati errori prima che iTunes potrebbe essere configurato. Il sistema non è stato modificato". In english language it means: "Troubles occurred before iTunes could be set up".
I tried to delete "Temp" folder in appdata/local.
    I'm a bit sad...

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • Cannot install Itunes update, 'itunes64.msi' missing

Basically I tried to update my iTunes to 11.2 but it will not let me, every time I try I get an error saying the download source cannot be found/verified, and that it cannot locate 'iTunes64.msi'
I also tried uninstalling itunes and the same error comes up.
Anyone know what the problem is?

It will work with Windows 7 32 bit.  On a 64 bit you will have to install Windows XP Mode.  You can download it from the Microsoft Website.  The XP Mode will run Windows XP in 32 bit.  Microsoft has easy instructions on the download.  One download at a time.  Install the first download then the second download.  You will have to copy your icon from all program and paste to the desktop if you are going to use it often.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • I cannot install iTunes updates as of today.  Does anyone have any idea what changed with iTunes?

The question apparently needs to be typed in twice...  good work.  Here it is again:
I cannot install iTunes updates as of today.  Does anyone have any idea what changed with iTunes?

Is this a distinct issue from the 42404?
If so, are you getting an error message when you try to install iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

  • I cannot install itunes on windows 8.1

I cannot install itunes on my Toshiba Laptop with windows 8.1. I kept getting error 7. So i removed all of the itunes files from my computer, and did everything the install troubleshooting page suggested, but it still will not install, but now instead of error 7, I am getting error 2.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If the above steps haven't helped try installing:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for a 32-bit core program, similar to previous 64-bit releases of iTunes.
    Or roll back to:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
    as appropriate.

  • I cannot install iTunes on my computer, Winows 7. Error code -45075

I cannot install iTunes on my computer. Error code -45075

I used to have the same problem, and found a solution. It is very simple, ,just follow these steps below
Open the 'computer' file, found on start or might be on your desktop.
Click the C: drive, found on the left where theres a list of things such as favorites, desktop, etc
    Locate 'Users' and open it.
    Click your username
Go to AppData. (if its not there: on top, where theres 'File | Home | Share | View', click view, and then on the Show/Hide column, place a check by Hidden Items)
    Click 'Local'
    Locate Temp, and click it.
Highlight all the files and delete them. There might be some that you cant delete, but thats fine, just click 'skip'
Restart your computer, and it will be fixed!
    Hope I helped
