Windows 7 no MonitorSpeaker sound
Hello,
I have seen a post here about this but I didnt found the anwser.
Installed on this Mac with Boocamp the las windows 7 edition which works fine, tho I have no sounds on the monitor speakers just when I plug a headphone at the back or an external usb conected speaker, could anyone please advice me on a solution?

Well hurray found the solution, by purchasing the Mac you get 2 cd´s inside, the one that says Mac Os you need to run the bootcamp setup.exe this will install all the apple drivers including wifi/graphic/internet/sound etc.
Installing takes around 5 minutes, after that you will be asked to restart and voila sound there plus monitor will have the ideal size no stretch image anymore.

Preferences/Audio Set Recording Delay to 0 <zero>
This should always be set to zero unless a specific set of circumstances exist and you're audio drivers do not report position correctly.
On occasion, usually when importing a Logic 9 project, Logic-X randomly changes this to a negative/positive number. It's actually a bug in Logic, as it should always display the waveform. -
Do I need to install boot camp on Windows 7 as well as on Lion? I already installed it some years ago on Leopard when installing Windows Vista on my Macbook Pro. But now after installing Windows 7, many things in windows doesn't work (sound etc.). I made a clean installation because I needed to go from 32 bit to 64 bit.
Or should I just update bootcamp in Lion? (cause when I search for "boot camp" in Windows 7 there's no result)Installation Guide

Apple Boot Camp Support
Lion's Boot Camp Assistant 4.x should have downloaded Apple drivers as part of also partitioning.
You need Apple drivers. And you then need to add on your own audio driver.
You can run Assistant at any time to download and save a set of drivers. -
how do i activate windows 8 start up sounds it worked the first time i turned my pc on but not since,i have ticked the windows default checkbox but the apply area is shaded out?
Hello,
You should be able to go into windows sound option, under control panel and in the sound tab, you have an option to play windows start-up sound, if its shaded out, maybe its because you dont have any playback device selected or the audio is not installed.
Can you check that?

When I connect my iphone to the laptop (windows) it makes a sound but i can't see it in itunes or "my computer' I have no idea why....

Before you connect to a new PC, make sure that autosync is disabled in Edit/Preferences/Devices, otherwise your phone will be wiped during the following sync.
If you have data on the phone you want to save, back up manually:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing. Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards. Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.
Since changing your iTunes library will erase your phone again, do the same process when you change back to your normal PC.

G60-458DX Windows 8 upgrade NO SOUND...have tried "everything!"

I have an older G60-458DX notebook that I upgraded to Windows 8 64-bit.
I have lost sound from both the internal speakers and anything plugged into the headphone jack. I can see levels fluxuate on the taskbar volume control when I move the slider.
I have tried the following with no success amoung other things:
Used Windows troubleshooting feature in Windows 8
Disables and enables the drivers for sound device as well as tried to upgrade the drivers (already the most current)
Checked all sound software access points
Some of the research I read indicated that HP was not going to support older hardware with driver updates for Windows 8. Is there a workaround for this issue? Could I used a USB external soundcard and bi-pass the non-fuctioning drivers?
This is my wife's computer and while she likes Windows 8, she NEEDS SOUND. Thank you!Brett,

Windows Server 2012R2 RDS sound and smartcard redirection issues
We are using RDS collection with two Windows Server 2012R2 session hosts. Both hosts are virtual servers (clean installation) and are used as session hosts (terminals) with 10 to 25 users each. RDS Connection Broker is also virtual machine with
Windows Server 2012 R2. Our users are using Windows 7 Embedded thin clients with MSTSC RDP 8.0.
Our terminals are running correctly after fresh boot, but in 12 to 48 hours after boot we encounter problem with sound and smardcards redirection in RDP. Remote sound stops working and users cannot login with their smardcards.
Relogging users doesnt help, deleting profiles doesnt help, restarting sound service doesnt help, only viable way to solve issue is server restart. There is not any event in event log about this issue.Hi,

Please check the following GP setting as well.
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Device and Resource Redirection
Limit audio playback quality: Enabled
Audio Quality: High
On the Client PC, in the .rdp file that you use to connect to the server, make sure you have the following line:
audioqualitymode:i:2
In addition check that the Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder services must be running for audio to work.
Smartcard redirection:
Kindly try to update the patch for Smartcard redirection and check the result.

Qosmio F20-111and Windows Vista - cannot get sound and display driver to work

I have just installed windows vista home premium 32 bit, but I faced 2 main problems which are:

Device Manager HP Printer ! Symbol, Windows "failed to connect" Sound- Yet Printer Works
Every startup, I hear the Windows "device failed to connect" sound. How can I get rid of this?
I have an HP J6480 Printer with WIn 7. Device Manager is not recognizing the printer driver.
Under Device Manager, the printer is listed with the ! error symbol. No other devices have an error symbol. Yet the HP Solution Center and printer work.
1) I have tried fresh installs of the current HP Full Feature Software.
2) I have tried the HP Uninstall program, going through all five Uninstall programs two times.
3) I have run CCleaner to clear registry issues.
4) I have tried deleting the Device Manager "Officejet ! J6400 series" entry. The Solution Center and the printer then do not work. Apparently, Device Manager recognizes the printer but not the driver. I have to go to "Programs", "HP", then "Officejet J6400 Series" to reinstall the software.
5) I have tried to get Device Manager to recognize the software. When I click on "! Officejet 6400 series", I get the message "the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)". If I then click on "Update Driver" and select" Browse my computer for driver software" then click on "Browse "C:\Users\Myname\Downloads", where I have both the HP 13.0 Full Feature Sofware Software and the Basic Print and Scan Driver files, it says "Windows cannot find driver software". If i click on "Search automatically for driver software" I get the same message.
I would very much appreciate any ideas! Thank you!

Windows XP hard drive in a Windows Vista computer.No sound n
I bought a brand new computer that had Windows Vista installed on it. I
dont like Vista so I took the hard dri've out and replaced it with a brand
new hard dri've. I then loaded Windows XP Home onto the hard dri've.
Everything went perfectly fine EXCEPT there is no sound. I get an error
that says that I don't have a driver installed and gives me a (CODE 0)
error. Any advice on what to do now?Ok first note, you should NEVER do what you did. Never take out the hard dri've just to get rid of an Os or program. there are much safer ways of installing Xp. You should have just formatted the HD and installed XP that way. Anyway, what you might be able to do is uninstall the drivers for Everything and reinstall them. The way you did it is flawed because the Hardware is still thinking its running on Vista and you pretty much confused it.

Windows Movie Maker - no sound on QT video clips
I'm trying to combine QuickTime video clips (downloaded from Casio camera) into one movie, using Windows Movie Maker (Vista). All the clips have sound when I open them in their folder but after importing the clips in to MovieMaker, there is no sound. How do I import these clips so that their sound is also there? I have no problem with other video clips, only those saved as QT.

Windows 7 and surround sound problem
Hi,
I have recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 edition on my desktop PC.
I have Creative Audigy 4 Pro with the external panel and Creative Gigaqworks S750 speakers.
The problem is that the speakers play only in stereo mode (only front 3 speakers) although I have set the speakers to play in 7. mode from audio console and speaker settings.
Whether I lsiten to music or play games it's the same.
Please note that I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers from creative website (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series driver 2.8.00).
Any ideas anyone how to fix this?

Windows 7 64 bit Sound Card Problem
In January 2009, we had a 64 bit operating system problem http://forums.adobe.com/message/1015026#1015026. Our software, which was published using Version 6.5, was freezing on a customer’s computer on playing the first sound file, then if the sound file was by-passed, on displaying the first swf. The problem was eventually resolved by Mike Baker publishing our a6p file in Authorware 7, and this cured the fault. So we upgraded to Authorware 7.02 and since then no further problems ... until December 2010.
We launched our Italian Course late November and had a not dissimilar sort of problem reported by a customer. He's tried uninstalling & re-installing the software but the fault keeps re-occurring. The computer displays a "not responding" message. Debugging, we discovered that the message appears when trying to play the initial mp3 file (fixed bit rate) … the program does eventually continue but without playing the sound file. It then keeps hanging (there are thousands of sound files in our course), and none of the sound files play: text & pictures are displaying normally. Eventually the program freezes and has to be killed with ctrl+alt+delete.
The computer in question is a Dell Inspiron 580s, & the operating system Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I’m awaiting details of the sound card & confirmation that his drivers are up-to-date but I presume they will be (Windows 7 default is to keep drivers updated). I haven’t got the customer to carry out basic tests sound file tests yet, but he indicates no problems with Media Player or with iTunes.

The database for our Italian course is now in ProgramData. (previous courses, database was in Program Files and run in XP compatible mode). We’re having problems with this location with Windows 7 64 bit … it is maintaining a copy in Virtual Store and updating the file there. No such problem with XP, Vista or Windows 7 32 bit. I see this as an unrelated problem. We got the customer to run the software in XP mode but the problem was not corrected.
We do have customers successfully running our software on Windows 7 64 bit operating system computers; we had a minor ODBC glitch reported recently from a 64 bit user.

I concur with Steve that this is probably system-specific. A couple of things you may want to try:
1. Be sure you're using the Xtras that came with Authorware 7.02 and not 6.5. For example, I believe mixview.x32 and viewsvc.x32 were updated in Authorware 7.
2. Try making a little AW program with 4 or 5 buttons that each trigger an imported MP3 file, where each audio file has different output settings (e.g. mono vs stereo, 64kbps vs. 92 kbps, etc.). Package it up and send it to the Dell user to test it. You may stumble upon an audio output setting that works on that particular machine.

Hello there everybody! I have installed Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro 2006 15' without any problems, and without any modification. I did hear that some users couldn't install it, but I have got it working fine with BootCamp 4.0.1 on Lion. So anyways, when I boot into Windows, there is no soudn, and there is also a Red Light coming from the Earphone/Headphone jack.
What should I do? This problem is really ticking me off because I only insalled Windows to lay some games my friend recommended to me. With no sound, it would be really strange playing them, especially Mass Effect.Well I / we always kind of assume that someone did all the normal basics first and is still having trouble. And read the instructions in Boot Camp Assistant.

I installed windows XP sp2 on my Macbook but it can't make any sounds.
I tried update Bootcamp to 2.1 and Microsoft path KB888111 (solve High Definition Audio problem) but turned to be helpless.
