Windows 7 x64 bluetooth problem

Hi,
I just upgraded my T400 to Windows 7 Professional x64 and I now have a problem with finding the bluetooth on it. When I tried to install the "Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II for Windows 7, Vista - ThinkPad" it just say "No bluetooth unit found in the computer".
Does anyone have an ide what I can do?
Best regards /Fredrik

Hi:
Try the bluetooth driver directly from Mediatek (Ralink).  That is the only suggestion I can offer.

  • Safari 5.1 for Windows 7 x64 (Scrolling Problem)

I know its known to some that scrolling is broken or at least is very flakey with Safari 5.1 on Windows 7.  I have two questions.  First, has anyone found a fix yet? Second, if not, how would I contact Apple specifically about this problem?  Thanks.

I know it isn't what was asked in the post but it might help if this is the problem you have until they fix this.
My scroll wouldn't work unless I rolled the wheel real fast. After disabling "Smooth Scrolling" the scrolling worked.
I hope this helps someone because I was just about to stop using Safari befor I got it to work.

  • MOVED: K9N2 SLI Platinum - Windows 7 x64 BSOD problems

This topic has been moved to Windows 7.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=133545.0

The memorycontroller on that board is an oldie, got one myself  and it will probably not run @800MHz with all slots occupied on a x64 OS.
That contoller is only rated for 667MHz when running all channells fully occupied.
The fact that you could run it so under x86 has probably to do with the fact it didnt adress all the memory, but only 3.25GB max and thus it was stable enough.
Now you are running an OS that uses all memory and thus it can become unstable while its running at a too high speed for the controller.
I had the same and could "only" get the memory to work @750MHz tops, before it decided to BSOD or bootloop on me.
This is inherent to its design (from NVidia, they made the chipset) and cannot be overcome, but dont worrie yourself, the speeddifference between 667MHz and 800MHz is negligible and will only show up if you run benches, in normal day to day use, you will hardly, if ever, notice it.
But, do you really need 8GB???
If you do gaming, internet, office and other "light" work, i.e. normal homeusage, 4GB is already more then enough.
8GB is nice if you use cad/cam, photoshop and other memory intensive stuff.

  • Photosmart C7180 on Windows 7 x64: Big problems

My faithful Photosmart C7180 has gone to a near-useless state since I attached it to my new desktop machine running Windows 7x64.  I am connected via a wired connection/usb cable. Some of theese new antics include:
Solutions Center says it's Disconnected, when it is not
    The scanner doesn't work
When I attempt to print a doc, I get a partial print of the doc, along with 5 or 6 sheets of papers with a few random characters printed at the top.
I have installed, uninstalled and re-installed the latest version of the software as downloaded from the website (v 13.1.0) far too many times.  This does nothing.
I have run the HP Print and Scan Doctor....the print side says it works fine (it doesn't); the scan option fails on the Driver Check, saying that 'the scan driver is unable to communicate with the product'.  I've followed the instructions to unplug the printer, plugging it back in, restarting the computer, multiple times....again, this does nothing.
Anybody out there have any suggestions, other than hauling this thing to the dump?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I would try possibly using another method of connection. Possibly it is the USB cord that is malfunctioning. If you have another cord try that, or you can try setting the printer up on your network using a wired-Ethernet connection.
Try this and let me know how it turns out!

  • Firefox 3.6.8 hanging in Windows 7 X64

I have used Firefox 3.6.8 with Windows 7 X64 without problems about many months.
Misteriously Firefox stop working. It load in task manager "firefox.exe *32" but dont open the browser window.
I try to reinstall, delete profile and I try the new beta 4 with no sucess.
The only way to make Firefox working again is reinstalling the old 3.6.3 version and after a automatic update to the latest version, start to hang again.
    What is happening?
    Please help.
OS: Windows 7 x64 in a Desktop PC.
    Thanks in advance.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone.

  • Bluetooth not working in Windows 7 x64

    Hi,
My MBP is primarily used as a Windows 7 x64 box. Up until a couple of days ago, I've been using a bluetooth Logitech mouse and pairing with my iPhone without any problems. Two days ago, the mouse simply stopped working and I now cannot detect any Bluetooth devices from within Windows. Nor can my iPhone detect my MBP. The mouse works fine in Snow Leopard, however. Things I've tried so far include:
    * Changing the batteries on the mouse
    * Full power off, leave for a couple of hours, and back on again
    * Resetting the PRAM
    * Unpairing the mouse in Snow Leopard, then trying again in Windows
    * Uninstalling all Bootcamp drivers and services, then reinstalling Bootcamp 3.0
    * Updating to Bootcamp 3.1 and then 3.2
    * Swapping the Bluetooth radio driver from the Apple Broadcom Built-In Bluetooth to the Broadcom Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
    * Removing all hidden and absent devices from within Device Manager
    * System Restore (failed, for some reason)
    * Installing the WIDCOMM / Broadcom Bluetooth driver set from an installer for an Asus laptop.
About the only thing I haven't done is a full re-install of Windows 7, but I'm really keen to avoid that if I can...
Oh ... this did happen before, sort of. Bluetooth mouse simply stopped working. I could discover the mouse, but Windows couldn't connect. I put it down to the mouse itself and bought another one, which worked fine. A few weeks after that, the mouse stopped working again. The Bluetooth radios section in Device Manager was missing completely. Rebooted into Snow Leopard and it seemingly couldn't find the Bluetooth hardware either. Booked an appointment with the Genius bar, drove down, turned it on ... and everything worked fine.
    Any ideas?

Check if your bluetooth is working under mac os - I had the same problem. When it's working under mac os then it's working under w7 64, too.

  • Satellite P750: Unable to install Bluetooth Stack driver on Windows 7 (x64)

    Hello.
    I own a *Satellite P750-02T* (Part no. *PSAY3A-02T001*).
In the order what I did:
    1) I formatted its HDD and reinstalled OS to *Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1*.
Then I downloaded *ONLY BIOS and the drivers* from [its Downloads page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] :
    2) I updated its BIOS to *v1.90* (the laptop came with v1.80)
    3) I installed all the drivers:
    - both LAN and WiFi
    - Intel Chipset (latest available)
    - all video drivers (Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA Graphics, and Intel HDMI)
    - Card Reader
    - Realtek HD Audio (latest)
    - Synaptics Touchpad
    - USB3.0
    - IR
    - TV-Tuner
However, I'm *unable to install the Bluetooth driver (v8.00.06(T)* )...
When I run setup from the [above-mentioned page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] it partially detects *'Bluetooth USB Controller-10 from TOSHIBA'* (USB\VID_0930&PID_0215&REV_001)
and then installation simply freezes displaying +'Installing the Bluetooth Driver. Please wait+.' and stays like that forever...
I also tried downloading a driver from [another location|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba] for TOSHIBA notebooks - v8.00.02(T):
and followed installation instructions displayed under 'Details'
but there was the same outcome - the setup simply freezes...
Installing Hotfix (*KB978258*) recommended there didn't work either - the message '+The update is not applicable to your computer+' pops up.
And I understand why - this Hotfix is [already included|http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/B/A/EBA55FE2-373A-4351-9346-6D762B79AA69/Updates%20in%20Win7%20and%20WS08R2%20SP1.xls] into Service Pack 1 for MS Windows 7.
I spent hours searching on the Internet for a solution. Although there were some similar cases none of the recommendations actually worked. I tried installing:
    - WiFi driver before installing Bluetooth (someone suggested that those two are the parts of the same card);
    - resuming installation in Safe Mode;
    - *Toshiba Value Added Package* hoping those tools somehow will kick in.
    Nothing worked...
It's interesting that when for the sake of experiment I tried to run installation for my generic Bluetooth adapter (using the driver [for non-TOSHIBA notebooks|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download]) then everything run smoothly!
*Using Bluetooth connection on this laptop is very crucial for me.*
I hope I shall not have to return this wonderful notebook as I know TOSHIBA is one of the best manufactures and am sure there is a solution to this problem.
    Thank you very much.
    Evgeny.

For FN functionality you must install Toshba Value added package. Toshiba flash cards utility is part of this package.

  • Problems deploying Windows 7 x64 computers with more than 8GB RAM

    SCCM 2012 R2 CU1
    Windows 7 x64
We have a weird problem after upgrading from SP1 to R2 CU1. We have built a Windows 7 64 bit image with the latest updates (currently September 2014 updates). It deploys fine to all computers. But after some days – don’t know exactly – guess after 4-7 days
    - we start getting errors on computers with more than 8 GB of RAM. The errors just start out of the blue. We didn't change TS, image or driver package.
The error shows in 3 different ways – depending of the computer model.
    1) BSOD – STOP 0x000000F4. Disk error.
    2) Task Sequence error 0x87D00269 when installing the first Application in TS. The error seems to have something to do with Management Point not found.
    3) Task Sequence simply stops after installing CMclient. No errors - it simply stops.
For instance we get the BSOD on the Lenovo ThinkCentre M93p. But on the ThinkCentre M83 we get the TS error 0x87D00269. M93p and M83 uses the same driver package. They consequently  fail every time after the error has begun. If we reduce (remove physically)
the memory to max. 8GB of RAM, they successfully run the Task Sequence.  We get the above errors on both Lenovo and HP machines with more than 8GB.
I made a copy of the production TS and started testing. I created a new driver package for M93p/M83. It contains only the NIC drivers. Now M93p an M83 successfully finishes the TS. Adding sata or chipset or MEI/SOL drivers to the package I get the 0x87D00269
error on both m93p and M83. At least not the BSOD on the M93p ;-)
Tried setting  SMSTSMPListRequestTimeout to 180 in the TS. Also tried putting in a 5 minute break before installing the first Application in the TS. Also tried putting in SMSMP=mp1.mydomain in the installation properties for the CMclient. It is still
    the same problem.

    you have not previously used.
Hopefully this is a bug in translating the errorcodes? Just to be sure I checked all the SCCM serviceaccounts and none of them have expired passwords.  And again why only on computers with more than 8GB RAM.
Anyone else had problems rolling computers with more than 8GB og RAM?
Why does this happens after a few days? To begin with, it runs just perfect and then starts failing on all machines with more than 8GB. Without a change in TS, image and driverpackage. We have seen this pattern for the last 3 month after
updating our image with the latest Windows Updates. It all started after updating from SP1 to R2 CU1.
Why does it only affect machines with more than 8GB RAM?
How to get rid of the 0x87D00269 error?
Seems to be somehow related to driver installation mechanism in SCCM in combination with Windows 7 64 bit, +8GB RAM and SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 or perhaps just R2.
Any help or hints would be appreciated!
    Thanks
    Anders

We have the same workaround, using a x64 boot image resolved all our issues with WinPE 5.0.
    Machines with >4GB of RAM
Lenovo ThinkPad T540p failed applying drivers with 80040005
    Black screen/white cursor issues intermittently
No updates from Microsoft, they are still looking through the logs, but we have updated our boot images and all is well now. Our case it still open with Microsoft, they are researching the logs.

  • Common screen problem while playing games in Windows 7 x64

When I start games like Red Alert2 and alot others, the game doesn't show properly as some times the screen goes black or the buttons or menues doesn't show at all
Some other forums adviced to make these steps
    Right click on Desktop
    Select Screen Resolution
Click Detect (with no additional monitor connected)
Next to your first display, you'll see a grey square with the text "Another display not detected" Click on the grey square
Next to "Multiple displays" it will say "No display detected"
    Click on "No display detected"
    A drop-down menu will appear
Select "Try to connect anyway on: VGA"
Click on your primary display (the square with the big "1" in it)
Next to "Multiple displays" select "Extend these displays"
I tried these steps and every thing is going fine,  but the annoying problem is that I have to change the display settings each time I run a game and when I'm done playing I have to change them back, since of "Extended displays" order
In earlier windows versions it worked totally with no problems and even on Windows 8.1 x64
What would be the error here?
What should I do instead of all this jam? Is there any Hotfixes?
Note: I have two video cards running Intel HD graphics and Nvidia Geforce
***Update :The problem also exists in Windows 8.1 x64

    Hi Maen Abdulhaq,
“When I start games like Red Alert2 and a lot others”, ” I don't think that this is a manufacturer problem since it's very common to all those having windows 7 x64 and trying to play such games”
Did this issue occur in the whole games or just the Red Alert2 in your machines ?
    “unfortunalety windows compatibility settings”
Have you tried in windows 98 or lower compatibility mode, please ensure you have choose run as an administrator?
Apart from this ,I recommend you to try this method.
create a shortcut of "Yuri.exe" (or "Game.exe" if running normal RA2), and place it on the desktop. Open the properties, and in the target line add "-dxlevel 8" to the end. It should look like this (or similar if you're directories
    are different).
     "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2\YURI.exe" -dxlevel 8
Meanwhile,  entering Intel HD Graphics control panel (via Windows Control Panel or right-clicking the desktop) and enter Power section. Choose "High performance" mode.
If the issue persists, I recommend you to disable one graphic card from the device manager to have a check considering you have two graphic cards.

  • HP PhotoSmart C4599 problems with Wireless on Windows 7 x64

Hello, I have a printer HP PhotoSmart C4599 running great on my Windows 7, but the problem is the Wireless of the printer. I've got a laptop (running on Windows Vista x86) that I use to print documents via Wireless and when i try to add the printer by wireless on the laptop it says the main computer (the one that is running Windows 7 x64) does not have the OEM proper driver installed, and it has...

Verify that power outlet is working with a lamp or other appliance.
Verify power cord and power module are correct parts for that specific printer. Compare the Output voltage on the power module (the black box) with the listed voltage on the printer where the power cord plugs in. These must be the same
Remove power cord and power module from printer and power outlet. Separate power cord and module (let stand for 15 seconds)
Plug Power Cord into Power Module (plug firmly together)
Plug Power Cord with module directly into WALL outlet (Remove any surge protector or extension cords and plug printer cord directly into wall socket)
Check to see if power cord or module has LED light.
If has LED make sure it is glowing (if not glowing then replace power cord and module)
If no LED  Plug cord into printer - make sure it is plugged in properly and firmly.
Press power button on printer to power up. If does not power up first time hit power button a few times to see if it works.
if you happen to have another printer with same power cord configuration (fits specs) try these steps again
If printer will not become responsive at this point, then you'll need to replace the printer.
if it is a hardware issue, contact HP support at 1-800-474-6836.  Often there are special offers on replacements available to returning customers who are having hardware issues.
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

  • Problems Installing CS3 Web Premium on Windows Vista x64

I was (key word) having problems with my installation of CS3 on my brand new (3 days old) computer with Windows Vista x64. Finally after two days of installing and uninstalling, I called Adobe support. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly they solved my problem (if only I had called sooner).
Having worked on this for 2 days I have seen and tried everything except of course the cure. So I wanted to put this out there for any one else that is having problems.
    The symptoms:
    - Everything seemed to install correctly (except acrobat which is another story. you can find lots of post about that.). No errors during installation. And when it finally completed installing, all that was left was to click "finish" which indicated to me that installation was successful.
    - Open Photoshop. PS would open and immediately stop working. Vista said it was not responding.
    - Open any of the other programs and the little vista circle would spin for 5 to 10 seconds then nothing. Program did not start to open. Just nothing.
The problem: Unbeknown to me (never saw an error message) "Licensing for this product had stopped working". When I described above symptoms tech support went straight to this.
The solution: Download the Licensing Service Update and run it. http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401528
Once I ran this, Photoshop opened and let me enter serial number and activate CS3.
If after your installation, Photoshop or any of the other programs seem to get stuck or you never get the dialog box to enter serial number, the Licensing Service Update should fix things for you.

wow...thank you so much for this posting. I just got home & followed your steps and now I have CS3 up & running. After 4 days of stressing out, finally someone was able to assist. Why can't the Adobe Experts & Employees on these forums supply this much needed information?????
I seriously understand why people want to get crack versions of this software rather than paying hundreds of dollars like us and avoid all this BS and get no support whatsoever!
    Thank you again!!

  • Bluetooth problem in ideapad s210 touch windows 8.1 and audio problem

    Hi .. i have lenovo s 210
i have a problem with audio output, the sound is muted and it said that my bluetooth audio device can not be started. i download realtek High definition from the support system and the audio system start working again. But when i check the device manager the bluetooth problem still not fixed. It said i had a code 10 problem. I just recently update my windows to 8.1, but before there is no problem with the audio... and recently i find out that i can not use my bluetooth too. and all the bluetooth system seems doesn't work out
    what should i do??
    thanks

Actually, I solved this issue myself after a while.
I induced a system restore prior to the date when I began to experience this error.
It then happened once more, so I went to the "PC Settings" menu and selected "Update and recovery".
There were apparently updates to be installed, so I clicked "More details/information", and found that there were 3 Intel-related drivers that were listed, but for some reason, Windows 8 didn't automatically install them, so I checked each one of them and proceeded to install them and it has been smooth sailing for me ever since that.
    SO.
A piece of advice for all those who have experienced the issue I detailed in my former post:
Check what updates need to be installed on your computer in the "PC Settings" app thing, and see if there are any driver-realted updates (like for your graphics card, especially).

  • MSI 6670 MD2GD3 causing mouse problems in Windows 7 x64

Hello! I bought a new PC and I`m experiencing a very annoying bug. My configuration is: CPU: AMD FX 8350, Motherboard: Asrock 990FX Extreme 3, 16 Gb Corsair DDR3 1600, Kingstong HyperkX 3K SSD + WD Caviar Black 1TB HDD, Graphics card: MSI 6670 MD2GD3 and a 550W PSU.
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it. Everything loads up very smooth and fast but the mouse is driving me mad!  After alot of testing with different mouses and different components i changed the graphic card with another one, from a friend (different brand). The problem went away... until i put my HD 6670 back in. What happens exacly is... the mouse behaves as if it sticks on clickable objects (links, buttons, etc). It lags for a fraction of a second than jumps to where i am trying to point it. It also freezez for a short moment when i open some programs. It doesn't do this everytime but it's very annoying... it ruins the whole experience of using a new PC  I have all the latest drivers and BIOS updates... The temperature of the system is more than ok... I can't find another explanation apart from the video drivers... Can anyone pls help me?

The other video card was an old Radeon X800 GTO on PICE. The PSU is actually 520W, it's Booster SPS-520... i think it's a normal ATX psu. I am begining to think it's more and more a driver related problem... X64 driver problem to be more exact (i tested the video card on a Windows 7 32 bits setup and everything was ok). But on my 64 bits Windows, when i try running a program that is just a bit demanding for the first time... the mouse freezez for half a second while the program is loading. For example... after i turn on the PC... (i give it time to load up)... when i launch Google Chrome the mouse freezes for half a second. I did alot of testing around (i`m obsessed with this problem  ) and it turns out that the lag is much smaller if only one dispay is connected to the PC. Usually i have my tv connected to the PC as well, through a HDMI cable... and it's set to duplicate. Anyway, like i was saying, the freeze take less time when only one display connected, but it still freezes :(. Another strange thing: before instaling the video driver, when it's runing on Standar VGA driver, i can open Google Chrome for example and there's no freeze, everything loads up perfectly :| Is there anyway to fix this? Do u think the store i bought my video card from would accept it back if i pay off the difference and buy a more high end card from them? :(

Oops - for some reason, this problem now seems to have gone away. May have had something to do with Flash. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

  • Windows 7 x64 and PDF thumbnails problems

I have CS5 and Acrobat 9 and under Vista x32 I could see the pdf thumbnails nicely.  Yesterday I installed Windows 7 x64 and now all I can see are the Adobe icons.  I read some other threads that describe opening up the files through acrobat and then changing to either large icon or extra large icon to fix the problem.  This works, but when I go back through windows explorer everyhting is back to just icons.  I have made sure that explorer is set to always view thumbnails and I don't have this problem with anyother file types such as Word documents or image files.  I have also tried rebuilding the installation as anthoer poster had suggested.  Has anyone found a permanent fix for this?
    Thanks,

Thanks for the link to the fix (by Pretentious Name . com).
I note that over a year has passed since you posted this solution, and Adobe has still not corrected the problem.
Problems, errors, and omissions in software are normal and acceptable - what is not acceptable is that Adobe choses to not take action to correct certain problems, especially when the user community identifies both the cause and the solution to the problem.
The folks at Adobe shoud take a close look at this web page: http://www.pretentiousname.com/adobe_pdf_x64_fix/ - it contains a complete and well-documented description of both the cause of the problem and the solution to the problem.
