Windows 8.1 64-Bit AnyConnect Crash
Running Windows 8.1 (64-bit) with AnyConnect version 3.1.05170
I can connect without issue, but after an indeterminate amount of time and seemingly unrelated to whatever task I'm working on, the system crashes. BSOD with the little sad face.
I've seen at least one other post regarding this issue but, for some reason, when I tried to reply there, the UI didn't let me enter any text. Just prompted for a file upload.
Is there a fix for this issue available?
Thanks.
J
I have the same configuration and problem even with 3.1.06073 (latest). My VPNwill connect and start and then hang. If I look at the statistics I'll see Bytes being sent but the Received count will stop at 19880 bytes. I have been able to work around this sometimes by re-installing but that doesn't always work. Usually I just have to keep trying, uninstalling, re-installing and eventually it'll start working. This is very frustrating.

Hi,
I bought a new computer with Windows 8 Pro (64 Bit) in February/March 2013 and it has crashed almost every day I've had it (it crashes at least every two days). Despite constantly sending the details of the crash through to Microsoft it doesn't seems
to have been addressed. The error message that pops up every time is the same. It is on a blue screen and says:
"Your computer has encountered an error and needs to restart :(
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (tcpip.sys)"
Can someone please explain what I need to do to fix this? I am not a tech head so some step by step instructions would be great. Can i (re)install new drivers etc or is this a common fault of Windows 8? This is driving me crazy. It
certainly doesn't make me feel like I have a new computer that's for sure!
I just read one post that suggested someone's fault ma be because of antivirus software AVG Internet Security 2013 (which I have). How can I find out iof this is the case? And if this software doesn't work with Windows 8 does anyone know
what is the best to use with Windows 8?
Any help would be massively appreciated.
Cheers,

I need to know which update(s) I can apply to help stabalize the system.
Typing the body of the thread message in the title, huh? -)
I am working on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009) with boot camp running Windows 7 pro 64-bit. Windows crashes quite often now-a-days and I need to get this fixed. I heard that updating boot camp can help. Currently I am running Version 3.0.4 (322).
Only Apple could hamstring and tie Mac OS to Windows. There isn't any other than whether you can download the drivers into Windows (you can) but Apple puts a block on the installer setup even if your mac does not support it.
Windows 7 needs at least Boot Camp 3.1 and 3.3 is what you should already have. And you are not getting security updates if you don't have at least 10.6.8 as was pointed out. --- you arent using Software Update as you should. And you should backup and clone Mac (and Windows) as well.
You need Mountain Lion to use Boot Camp 5.x which supports Windows 7 & 8 and 64-bit.
I would upgrade to Lion if you can realizing that Rosetta and PowerPC are no longer supported though.

Is there a download of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software if I'm not using OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3?
Yes, you can download the Boot Camp 5 Support Software here.
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
How do I use the Boot Camp 5 Support Software I downloaded from the web page?
The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it.
Double-click the Boot Camp disk image.
Copy the Boot Camp and "$WinPEDriver$" folders to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system (see question below for steps on how to format).
Install Windows, leaving the flash or hard drive attached to the USB port of your Mac.
Installation of the drivers can take a few minutes. Don't interrupt the installation process. A completion dialog box will appear when everything is installed. Click Finish when the dialog appears.
When your system restarts your Windows 8 installation is done.
Note: If the flash drive or hard drive was not attached when you installed Windows and was inserted after restarting into Windows 8, double-click the Boot Camp folder, then locate and double click the "setup.exe" file to start the installation of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software.
How do I format USB media to the FAT file system?
Use Disk Utility to format a disk to use with a Windows computer. Here's how:
Important: Formatting a disk erases all the files on it. Copy any files you want to save to another disk before formatting the disk.
Open Disk Utility.
Select the disk you want to format for use with Windows computers.
Click Erase, and choose one of the following from the Format pop-up menu:
If the size of the disk is 32 GB or less, choose MS-DOS (FAT).
If the size of the disk is over 32 GB, choose ExFAT.
Type a name for the disk. The maximum length is 11 characters.
Click the Erase button and then click Erase again.
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp. Safari 5.1.5 on Windows 7 64-bit: WebKit crashes.
Hello everyone.
I have a Safari 5.1.5 installed on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The last version of Safari which really worked well on my PC was, ironically, Safari 4 Beta. It was stable, it wasn't crashing and it was a pleasure to use it. ;D Ever since Safari 4, stable version, I've had many problems w/ it. 4, in any possible version, was unusable on my PC. 5 is much better when it comes to reliability. The only problem - or rather, two problems - lies within the fact that from time to time [quite possibly every couple of hours or so] I get an information abt WebKit Engine's crash. It first manifests itself by website turning black, then every opened tab's content gets white and I get a crash report. I then have to click on every tab, the website refreshes itself and everything is fine until the next crash. Also, instead of appearing as 1 window, Safari on my system shows every opened tab as a group of separate windows within the taskbar.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, repairing and other stuff but nothing seems to be working. ;( I really hate it because Safari is quite possibly my favourite web browser and am not exactly feeling the love right now.
Thanks in advance for the help,
MichałI know this is an old post, but since I ran across it while reloading software...
http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1531 = safari 5.1.7 version, and loads correctly for windows 7 64-bit -
My company has several Lenovo X301 laptops with Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) running IE11. I load clean versions of Flash onto these laptops (latest version 12.0.0.77) and every single one of these laptops crashes when opening IE11.
One thing I noticed when I used the help.adobe.com site. Using IE11, the box which "dynamically displays the following information" shows the correct version of Flash player and OS but the browser says "None". If I run Chrome, it says the correct Flash version but the OS says "Windows 7 (32 bit) and the browser correctly says "Google Chrome".
The crash report for IE11, module name is Flash32_12_0_0_77.ocx.
1. Why is the program unable to determine the correct browser?
2. Why does it appear that a 64 bit program is trying to use a 32 bit plug-in?
Any ideas?1. "User-Agent Strings"
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.Microsoft has no immediate plans to "fix" the mess they've created.
2. Chrome is a 32 bit browser, and will identify as such, including the plug-ins in it.
IE uses the plug-in from the SyWOW64 folder (WOW=Windows On WIndows - which runs 32 bit apps in the 64 bit environment) -
CF 10 continues to crash on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit
I have had CF 10 running on my VM for about a week now. The VM is Windows 2008 Enterprise, 64 bit. CF 10 is 64 bit. The error that I keep getting is:
Service Temporary Unavailable!
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Jakarta/ISAPI/isapi_redirector/1.2.32 ()
To recover, I need to stop and restart all the CF services.
Anyone else having this problem or has anyone else had to fix it?Of interest here are some CF10 metrics logging I took as a sample to compare.

The online CF10 documentation omits CF10 metrics logging details so I am not sure what to make of the log detail differing. Reference:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Admin/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf3638e6-7fe 0.html#WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf3638e6-7fda
I don't think the logs have been any use so far. Still interested to know why CF10 is crashing for you. Something else comes to mind. Is it possible for you to run CF10 from CMD prompt for a time, ColdFusion10\cfusion\bin\cfstart.bat ? Perhaps there is an error and having the details displayed in CMD prompt will lead to solution.

I have a core i7 system with 6 GB of RAM running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I installed my copy of Lightroom 2 on my C: drive and updated to 2.5. When I click the import button, the program immediately terminates. If I use the menus, the import dialog appears but the program crashes.
I uninstalled 2.5 and downloaded Lightroom 3 Beta. I installed that on an external HDD (USB 2). When I click on import, the program immediately crashes. When I use the menu, the import dialog appears but there is a crash.
The crash is (endlessly) repeatable with two different versions of the program on two different disks. 2.5 worked happily with Windows 64 bit Ultimate so it looks like a Windows 7 compatibility issue - has anyone else encountered (and resolved) this problem?
SeanI removed the preferences file as directed. I clicked on the 64-bit Lightroom icon. It still crashed. I removed the entire Preferences folder and noticed that a new preferences folder was created. But Lightroon still crashed. In the same Adobe folder I went to the Photoshop CS4 folder and found a "PSErrorLog.txt" file that tracks errors. The error messages were similar, with the latest one reflecting my crash saying the following:
2009:11:20 00:13:51 : e:\ps11\ps_11_win_daily_retail\20090218.r.523\photoshop\main\photoshop\interfaces\UTrackR esourceImp.h : 136 : REQUIRE failed
I have no idea what that means except something failed. Maybe someone else knows what it means.
I've attached the log file in case it can help anyone.

How do I fix this?
The problem with using Explorer to copy the files from the camera disc is that the raw files are in a format that
my movie making/DVD burning software doesn't recognize. Using PMB on my older computer isn't really an option, because the files are big and hard to transfer to this computer. Is there any other way to import movies from the camera onto my computer?Hi,

Hi Adobe
You a have a really wonderful PhotoShop CC product. It's really great, and I know new versions such as 2014 have their teething problems.
But I am getting really sick of my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit PC being crashed whenever I try to use PhotoShop CC 2014 Sharpen / Blur Reduction and also Noise Reduction.
This happens both with JPG's and PSD's.
Please sort your **** out and get some patches out to address this quickly !!
Chris TattersallChris,
It doesn't crash for everyone. A person could be forgiven for saying, in return, "Please sort out your **** system problems".
Trust me when I say many, many problems are caused by the computer system setup not being up to the needs of this cutting-edge graphics software. Photoshop is heavily dependent on the GPU, and GPU drivers are notorious for having bugs (they're primarily written to run games).
However, that being said, recent driver releases from both ATI and nVidia do actually work pretty well with Photoshop CC 2014.
What video card do you have?
What display driver version are you running?
If you're unsure how to tell these things, go into Photoshop, choose Help - System Info, copy the data, and post it here.

Upon Launch After Effects Pro CS3 Crashes - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
I recently installed the 32 bit version of Adobe After Effects Professional CS3 (and later applied the 8.02 Update) on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit computer (Service Pack 1 - 12 GB RAM). It's installed (along with all of my other applications) on a 256 GB solid state drive.
Shortly after launching the application (as it begins to load), the following message appears:
After Effects Error: sfntread library error (83 :: 4)
It continues to reappear several times after clicking 'OK'.
Then a final error message appears just before the program aborts its loading process and crashes:
After Effects warning: unknown BIB error, sfntread library error CT, 0
I currently have the complete version of Adobe Design Premium CS5 also installed on my Windows system. No problems occurred with its installation and all of the programs within the suite launch and load properly as expected. The only other Adobe CS3 application that I also installed before installing After Effects CS3 was Premeire Pro CS3 which also installed, launched and loaded properly with no error messages appearing during the entire process.
I did an initial search here on the forum using the error messages but did not find a solution that is workable with my particular operating system (64 bit) and the 32 bit After Effects Professional CS3 application.
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. Here's a page that might be useful:
http://aeerrors.myleniumstuff.de/?p=370
Note that Windows 7 is not listed as an operating system supported for After Effects CS3:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/836/cpsid_83637.html#main_After_Effects_CS3_system_requirements
The application was written, tested, and released before Windows 7 was available. -

I have used this extension with previous versions of Firefox and had no issues. Why is this a problem on the latest version? Do you know of another "TimeLineRemove" extension that will work with this version of Firefox? Will reverting to an earlier version of Firefox solve this issue allowing me to continue using "TimeLineRemove"? -
Firefox 26 crashes on exit in Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit.
It doesn't matter if I click the Red X, go under File -> Exit or type Alt + F4 to exit out of Firefox under Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit. It almost always produces an error message that Firefox has stopped working.
I can't find how to post a JPEG Screenshot of the error message here.
This doesn't occur under Windows XP Pro.
Otherwise, the browser works fine under either OS.Here's the screenshot(s). I had to take 2 because the lower portion of the error message that lists the details won't expand.
