What does the error message say on the blue screen? If you are able to boot into Windows 8 Safe Mode, please uninstall the following updates:      a. KB2982791     b. KB2970228     c. KB2975719     d. KB2975331 Additionally, I would encourage you to post which operating system you are using; and whether your operating system is 32 or 64 bit. The more information you can provide, the better!
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit? Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

  • Hp Envy stuck in preparing automatic repair screen won't boot up

My Hp Envy TS m6 Sleekbook is stuck on the preparing automatic repair page..I've tried restoring it using the f11 key but then it goes to another black page with the Hp logo on it and it says please wait and again remains stuck..I've already backed up all my information so I don't mind restoring it back to factory settings but it just won't let me do much of anything!! Please help!!

    @Kmarcast18 ,
Hello and welcome to the HP support forums.  From what you are stating you system sounds like it is stuck in a repair loop and just cant proceed.
You mentioned tapping F11 to get into the menu and on most system that will work.
Here is a link for the service manual.  The reset for this system is listed on page 80.
One thing you can try as well is to remove the battery.  The process is on page 32.
With the battery out and the power cord removed.  Hold the power button down for 30 seconds.
Put the power cord back in and boot up holding the F11 key again to see if you can get into the restore options.  If this works great.  Shut the system down again and install the battery.
At this point if that fails you will want to contact phone support for repair options.

  • HP Pavillion TS Laptop stuck in "preparing automatic repair" loop.

My HP laptop has run perfectly up until now.
When I turn the device on, it tells me that it's "preparing automatic repair" and it stays there, I've waited for hours on end but it doesn't seem to really be doing anything. All the f# keys work perfectly except f11, the one I need to use to attempt to restore the OS to a date when it actually worked. While it'd be neat if all my data could be recovered, it's not required. Thanks for helping.

  • Startup stuck at "loading OS 10" please help

Hi, I shut down my computer and went away for the weekend, and now that I am back I can not get it to boot up (using work computer now). It turns on and starts to load, but it gets stuck when the "loading OS 10" screen gets to 100%. I know I downloading an itunes update last week, but can not think of anything else that would cause this. I have unplugged everything and had the same error 5-6 times. If I let the computer sit on the screen it is "stuck" on, it just keeps running without doing anything. Running tiger on a dual processer G4 desktop from 2003. I appreciate if anyone knows a trick that doesn't involve me hauling it into the apple store. Thanks!!!

Hi salvowl, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Let me know how that goes.

  • My iPod touch is disabled and has a passcode but it won't let me type in the passcode it's stuck on connect to iTunes screen help!!!!!

My iPod touch 8th 3rd gen is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and won't let me do anything and iTunes won't restore it or do anything because there is a password on it and I can't type it in on the touch since it's stuck on this screen help please I've tried doin the power and menu button to restart it and it goes right back to connect to iTunes someone please helpme

Try again placing the iPod in recovery mode.  It can be tricky. The computer should say it discovered an iPod in recovery mode.  Recovery mode bypasses the passcode (and erases the iPod).  If not successful, try placing the iPod in DFU mode.

  • IPod stuck on "connect to itunes" screen, Help.

    Ipod touch 2g 8gb.
Here is my dilemma: Stuck on "Connect to iTunes" screen
The iPod wont change screen, no matter how i boot it up.
And it does not show up in itunes or finder.
It shows up in itunes when i boot in DFU mode (I think) but displays a warning that ipod is in recovery mode and need to be restored before it can be used with itunes. Now, when i click OK it disappears from the side bar and returns me to my library.
I have also tried to connect it to 2 different PC's and no trace of it shows up anywhere.
I have tried countless methods from youtube and google but got no satisfactory results.
I read a few places that iPod touch's cant be bricked. I have never tried any kind of jail break for my iPod.
I have run out of ideas.
Any Help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I tried all the suggested fixes, too, including uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. In the end, I had to disable my security and it let me restore the iPod Touch then.
Still can't get my music onto it again, but that's another discussion topic.

  • Exchange account stuck at loading automatic reply

I set up an Exchange 2013 account on an iPhone 4. The account configured correctly (all tick marks showing) but it will not bring in any emails. I checked the settings for the account and the Automatic Reply option is stuck at a status of loading. I figured it was taking a while for whatever reason but 3 days later it is still showing loading.
Already tried deleting and recreating the account, resetting network settings and recreating the account, no other devices show up associated with this account in Exchange, manual configured incoming and outgoing servers as "Other" account type, and nothing noticeable on the exchange side is showing.
    Any other ideas?????

close out of the mail app, then double tap home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
    then check email again.

I am so desperate and lost for what to do... there's no mac store here either. I need my mac working
I am so desperate for help
    aaargh! what can i do???

Is your disk making a bad noise? (Yesterday I had a machine with exactly that symptom accompanied by a nasty disk noise. Popped it open and put in a spare drive that had been taken out of another system, booted off of the new drive and the old drive mounted on the desktop. Ran Migration Assistant and got everything off of the old drive, and within a few minutes of it finishing, the noise stopped, the drive disappeared and a warning panel came up complaining that we had dismounted it improperly, and it was permanently gone. Are we lucky or what?!?)
The other thing which I seen with laptops is that disks and memory have a habit of working their way out of place by a few microns over time. A loose disk would boot into a flashing question mark folder, while loose memory does the blue screen thingy. If it is easy to get to your memory, take it out and push it back in, making sure that you really get it in there. If that doesn't work, you may have bad memory stick -- try taking one out and seeing if it will boot with the other one, and if not, put that one back in and try taking the other one out. Look around the support site to find out the instructions for getting your particular model of computer open to get access to the memory.

  • Macbook is stuck with loading wheel? Please help.

i recently got a brand new macbook pro, today I decided to restart it, and when that happened. And turned back on it started loading, loaded half way and stopped them the only thing that appears is the loading wheel thst pops up and goes away and it continues to do that, I'm new to this and Have no clue what to do!

Since you have a new MBP that is under warranty, you should take advantage of the 90 day telephone support or bring it into an Apple store genius bar for service.
You can try SMC and NVRAM resets by a safe boot:

  • I have attempted to download ML but it does not install. The App store confirms I have paid for it, and while I have clicked yes to redownload, I am unable to find the file and it has not loaded automatically. Any help

I have been asked several times if I want to redownload ML and answered yes, but nothing appears to happen and nothing installs. Somewhat surprisingly my internet service provider howevere has infrmed me I have exceeded my download limt today ( which suggests I have downloaded multiple copies of ML file, but I cannot find any evidence on my hard drive of where it has gone. Help appreciated.
I am attempting to install ML on a 2009 Macbook pro, core2 duo, with 8mb RAM. I am currently running Lion 10.7.5.

    Thanks
Problem resolved itself. Turned out that I had ben unable to contact the App store to confirm purchase. Once this resolved itself program downloaded properly and installation went without a hitch.
    Thanks again

  • I recently installed Yosemite and since I have my Windows Parallels Application is not loading.  Can someone help?

I just upgraded to Yosemite and I cannot open Parallels.  I am clicking on it and nothing happens.

What version of Parallels are you using? I received a notice that 9 is compatible, but must upgrade to latest version. To take full advantage of Yosemite they recommended purchasing an upgrade to Parallels 10. I have the latest 9 version, with XP installed and it is working fine (if I must use Publisher!)

  • Macbook pro stuck on grey apple logo screen - HELP! I've tried everything

I've looked through the forum for help and I think I've tried everything short of erasing and reinstalling mac os x -
    - I've done an fsck (got "invalid volume count", "invalid node structure", "volume check failed" errors)
    - booted from install disk and tried to verify disk (same errors as above)
    - tried to "archive and install" mac os but got error saying "the destination disk must be erased for installation"
I tried T-starting my laptop connected to another mac (a powerbook g4) to try to backup my files before erasing and reinstalling mac os - but the mbp hard drive won't mount on the powerbook.
My latest idea is to try installing mac os x onto an external drive - and then booting my macbook pro from the external drive... and see if I get anywhere. my only concern is, I have to make SURE the option saying "Install Mac OS X - Installs Mac OS X for the first time" does NOT delete the contents of the external drive (it is a client's and cannot be erased!). I know there is also the option that says "Erase and Install" -- but I just want to make sure the first option will NOT delete the contents of an external drive.
Anyone know for sure? Or have any other suggestions? I have some work on my macbook pro that I cannot lose. Unfortunately I have not been backing things up... big mistake that I will not repeat.
    Thanks in advance.

DiskWarrior is the answer, as sig has suggested. It can sort out directory damage that is well beyond Disk Utility's repair capabilities. If you already had a bootable external hard drive of your own, I'd urge you to buy and download DiskWarrior and install it on the bootable external drive, then run it from there to rebuild the directory on your internal drive. I have to say that using a client's hard drive to solve your own problem would be appalling and unconscionable, and I hope you'll forget that idea.
If you can't see your way to buying an external hard drive along with DiskWarrior, you'll have to buy DW on a bootable disc, or order one online and wait for it to arrive.
If you can buy an external hard drive of your own in addition to DiskWarrior — and I can't think of any better use for a credit card, if cash is short — then you'll be able to boot your MBP to a Leopard installer disc, install Leopard on the new external drive, and then buy DiskWarrior as a download (rather than on a disc) and use it as I described above. After sorting out the internal drive with DW, clone the internal to the external drive with SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner, and there's your backup from now on.
I should add that although Western Digital external hard drives seem to be available cheaply everywhere, I strongly recommend against buying one. Seagate drives are also widely available, and would be a better choice.

  • Finder window resizing lower left corner is off the screen - Help!

Moving from a 17" PowerBook to the 13" MBA, my Finder windows are too big. If I could only change my default window size from the 17" to the 13" I could Command-A Command-C Command-V the contents of my larger old windows to the smaller new screen...or a global resize of the windows would be even better. Any suggestions?

That won't work when it is too big and off the screen.
You have to click OPTION and the GREEN button to be able to resize it when it's off the screen.

  • My iPhone 4 is stuck on the apple logo screen, help!

I tryed deleting some of my most used apps, and as I was re-installing one it was taking forever so i decided to reset it by holding down the lock and home button at the same time. It's been sitting on the apple logo screen for almost an hour now and plugging it into itunes or plugging it into the charger hasn't done anything for me. I've also tryed restarting it again but it still hasn't helped. Any suggestions?

Try restoring. I'm guessing you may have trouble doing this, so see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
