Hi,
Did you want to install Windows 7 on your Windows server 2008R2?
The error message: An unexpected I/O error has occurred. Status: (0Xc00000e9)
is a hardware error pertaining to your system’s BIOS.  Basically it is telling you that the computer is not able to reliably communicate with the hard drive.
I suggest to update BIOS to the latest version, and try to rebuilt BCD follow these steps in this thread:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservergen/thread/0e6a7b6a-70de-41af-b2c8-5f8f3c86cef7/
Hope that helps.

  • The system cannot find the file specified.Windows sockets error code:2.

    Hi All,
      I am on MDM 5.5 SP6.
I am getting the following error message when trying to logging in to the DM.
The system cannot find the file specified.Windows sockets error code:2.This application will now exit.
    Runtime Error :
    Program C :\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Data Manager\Datamanager.exe
    R6025.
    -Pure virtual function call.
And in console also the MDM server is stopped after getting the above error message.
Can anybody tell me what could be the problem?
    Thanks & Regards
    Sireesha.

    Hi Sireesha,
According to me, there can be 3 problems,
    1. Kindly check whether the MDM server is stopped. If it is, then restart the MDM Server and Load the repository with Update indices.
    2. If this error is coming with every repository, the problem will be either in the Version mismatch of the Server and the GUI's you are using. Kindly ensure that the versions for the MDM server and the MDM Gui's Match.
    3. If only Data manager Client is giving the problem, then you can un-install and install the DM GUI again.
Along with this, please refer to the link below :
[[The system cannot find the file specified.Windows sockets error code:2.;]
    Hope it helps.

  • Windows boot error 0xc00000e9, 0xc0000098 in Lenovo U400

I've been getting boot error in my 8 month old Lenovo U400. No changes were done in hardware or software. It says bootbcd file is missing. Doesn't boot through hardware, but boots just well when I go to advanced boot menu and select the SSD option. The functioning of the laptop seems to be just as good, fast and there's no problem whatsoever after I boot through this. Then why doesn't it boot normally? Why does it say it could not find a valid OS entry??
I tried resettting the boot file. During the process I noticed that the partition with the OS is marked hidden and is a RAW partition, rather than NTFS. Since this error, I haven't been able to use Lenovo one key recovery either. I have never reinstalled/formatted a system with SSD, and am not quite sure if a clean reinstallation of Win OS would help.
    What should I do?

The moment you selected your drive to boot from start pressing F8 button, it should show you some extra boot options, where should be a repair option. Go there, it might ask you login, then there will be option to fix startup problems.

  • Windows update error code 800B0100

I received updates last nite, and all installed except for "Update for Windows junk e-mail filter for X-64 based systems (December 2007) KB905866"
I downloaded it from the MS site, and tried to install it manually, but it too failed.
The error code translates into " No signature was present in the subject"
Does this mean that the download is corrupted?

    Hi,
I just would like to confirm if you are using X64 bit version of Windows Vista? There are two versions x86 and x64 for this update, please visit the following website to clarify.
Description of the definition updates for Windows Mail
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905866
If your Windows Vista is a X64 based system and this update is indeed has not been completely installed, I would like to provide you with the following steps to manually download and install it.
Step 1: Download this update directly from the Download center manually but temporarily do not install it.
Please choose the correct version and download the KB905866 update to your local disk but temporarily do not install it, try Step 2:
Step 2: Log onto the computer in Safe Mode.
Restart the computer. Keep pressing the F8 key until the Windows Startup menu appears. Choose Safe Mode, and press Enter.
After booting into Safe Mode, please locate to the downloaded installation file and install them manually one by one.
If it still cannot be installed, please let me know the detailed error message.
    Thanks and hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 error code 0x80070017

Trying to install Windows 7 on my 2011 MacPro using Boot Camp Assistant. Using a download purchase of Windows 7 Pro burned onto a DVD. Installer runs but eventually stops on an incomplete Step 2 (Expanding files I think) with Error Code 0x80070017.
    Please help!

Thanks for the quick reply. So you're saying:
    - Use Disc Utility for the DVD burn (I used Toast and my IT guy used something Dell I suspect) at it's slowest speed?
    - Remove the other internal hard drives for the Windows install?
    - I'm creating a Windows "BOOTCAMP" partition on my main system drive for this. Can't really spare another internal for this if at all possible.

  • Windows Update Error Code 57E

    Hello,
I am getting Error Code 57E when using Windows Update. The only update that doesn't install is KB2863911.
    I am running Windows 7 64-bit and Office 2013 64-bit.

    Hi,
With err exe, I found the error code represent "Cannot create a top-level child window" which means that a required Permission for Full Control might be missing for a component that it is trying to update.
I suggest you tempbrarily disable any anti-virus software, then download the update from Microsoft website then manually install it again.
Or you can install Office 2013 upate in Windows clean boot to check the result.

  • Windows 8.1 - Windows Store - Error Code: 0x80073cf9

    Hi All,
After a quick Google search, it appears that I am not the only person who seems to be having issues with the Windows Store. Whenever I try to download certain games or apps, I receive the following error message:
"Something happened and your purchase can't be completed. Error code: 0x80073cf9"
I have tried all of "quick fixes" such as recreating the "AUInstallAgent" and "AppReadiness" folders in C:/Windows, along with running the SFC/ scannow through Command Prompts, but neither of these fixed the issue. If anyone
could please help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
**NOTE: This error only appears when certain applications are downloaded specifically "Asphalt 8: Airborne".

I get the impression there's been an issue with the app store marketplace all day. Seen reports from friends via Twitter complaining about it, saying it's been down for over 10 hours.
