  • Can I use iCloud to copy all the emails from the iPhone to Windows Live Mail on my PC?

My Windows 8 OS got trashed and I had to "refresh" it which involved losing all my Windows Live Mail emails (i.e. *.eml files in %AppData%). I have a backup from 18 months ago and most of my recent emails are on my phone.
Is there a way I can copy (en masse) the emails from my iPhone to my Windows Live Mail on my PC?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Syncing iphone calendar with Windows Live Mail

Hi guys - I just upraded to Windows 7 and I'm looking to see if it's possible to sync the calendar with the Windows Live Mail calendar? I'm thinking the only option at this time is MS Outlook, but just thought I'd ask. I searched and read through 3 other similar questions on here but didn't find any answer, hence the new post. Thanks!

Microsoft copied Google and now supports accessing a Hotmail or Windows Live Mail account as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app. This provides Push access for received messages and for syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with the account on your iPhone.
For syncing calendar events direct with an application on your computer via the iTunes sync process, you need Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010.
I understand your second statement about the needing Outlook - but I'm trying to reconcile it with your first paragraph - there is support for calendar events over the air between Windows Live and iPhone? So it can be done, just not physically through syncing via iTunes?

  • Windows live mail and yahoo and iphone 4s

I have a business account with a yahoo.mail address. I rarely access this account through google etc so the most up to date contacts folders and emails are all accessed on my laptop through windows live mail.  I just go an iphone 4s and naturally when I set up my yahoo account it has gone in to the yahoo account and downloades 5000 emails from the past few years!!! I deleted the whole thing off my phone and then went in to my yahoo account and deleted all the emails but how do I transfer all my current information from windows live mail/yahoo account onto my phone and/or my yahoo account on the yahoo website.

Google is a search engine, so I think you mean checking your Yahoo account via webmail access using a browser.
Since a Windows Live Mail account is completely seperate from a Yahoo account, I'm not sure how you are accessing your Yahoo account with your Live Mail account. If Live Mail includes an option to link with your Yahoo account, deselect it.
You can access your Yahoo account as an IMAP account with the iPhone's Mail app. When creating the account, select the Yahoo account preset and follow the prompts. The account will be created as a Yahoo account when using the Yahoo account preset. This provides push access for received messages, and over the air syncing for your Yahoo online contacts, calendar events, reminders, and notes.
A Live Mail account can be accessed as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app, which provides push access for received messages, and over the air syncing for your Live Mail online contacts and calendar events. You should be able to get instructions for doing so via Microsoft's Live Mail website - the help area, or do a Google search for accessing a Live Mail account as an Exchange account with the iPhone.

  • The iPhone 3 and Windows Live Mail Calendar

I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.
    1. Is the Windows Live Mail Calendar compatible with the iPhone?
    2. If not, why not? Are there any plans for this to happen?
    3. If they are, how do I sync the two?
    Thanks!
    Richard

Yes, it is compatible and it syncs over the air.

  • HT1694 Windows Live Mail with iPad /iPhone

I have setup my email acct on my iPad and iPhone and receiving messages however only inbox showing on both devices, unable to view sent items or deleted.  Using Windows Live Mail with Win8 on laptop and also only viewing inbox only. Would appreciate help.

I agree with the information supplied by Nachos Libres. If you really have a POP mail, let me add something.
I used in the past a POP mail service and I remember I could set some of the mail programs to download the mail but leave it on the server. Remember I did it on the MacBook and on a Cellular Phone (before iPhone). In this way I was sure to leave all mail on the server and to find them on the iMac which was setted to delete the mail from server after download.
I have no more POP and I cannot tell you if you can setup iMac iPhone and iPad to leave mail on the server. This way of leaving copy on gthe server could also be a feature which is allowed or not by the server.... or if Mail.app does not allow it you could try a different mail program. Of course this makes sense only if your provider does not allow the use of an IMAP sistem.
Try to find out yourself but, if this way is possible, remember to setup one computer to delete the mail after download or you will fill your mail box in a short time.

Did you try the iPhone syncing options in iTunes?
Click on your iPhone in iTunes, and check under the Info section where you can choose which app to sync with. Is Windows Live Mail an option?

  • Can you use Hotmail or Windows Live mail on iPhone?

Is it possible to use Windows Live mail or hotmail on an iphone?

Yes, you can. See this link - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930008
It is applied for Outlook, but it works on the IPhone mail too.
    a. Make sure that the E-mail Address field contains the correct account name.
    b. Verify that the User Name and Password fields contain the correct information. The User Name field should contain your complete e-mail address.
    c. Make sure that the Incoming mail server (POP3) field contains pop3.live.com.
    d. Make sure that the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field contains smtp.live.com .
    e. Click More Settings.
    f. On the Outgoing Server tab, make sure that My Server Requires Authentication and Use Same Settings as My Incoming Mail Server are selected.
    g. Click the Advanced tab.
    h. Make sure that both the boxes that indicate This server requires a secure connection (SSL) are selected. Make sure that Incoming mail port is set to 995 and Outgoing mail port is set to 25 .
    i. Click OK.
    j. Make any other changes that you want.
    k. Click Next, and then click Finish.

  • Iphone 3GS - windows 7 - syncing problems with windows live mail

I brought a new iphone 3gs last week and tried to sync it with my new dell PC running windows 7 (with windows live mail).
It wouldnt sync, so I read the forums and reset the sync history through itunes.
This worked, and synced my iphone to the computer. It appears to have backed up all my contacts on the iphone to somewhere on the PC (cant find where) but it hasnt copied the contacts from windows live mail to the iphone
    Have I confused anyone??

have you tried using imap instead?
if you can access your email from the web page then sounds more like a problem with windows live mail and not your BT account

  • Is here a way to sync iPod/iPhone with the new Windows Live Mail?

    hi everyone,
since i bought my ipod touch 2nd i recorded down my itinery into the iPod,
and about syncing, although troubled by the 0xE800002E error when syncing apps,
i still enjoyed a brilliant mailing function and could sync with the Windows Mail which i was using for a while
but after changing to use the new Windows Live Mail, attracted by the easy calendar function built-in, i found that the iTunes cannot recognise Live Mail, and of course not to syncronise it
this is much a trouble to me right now, and i hope someone can read my poor english
Please give me some advice, really thanks
ps,i have outlook but i dont really tend to use it

You can sync Tasks to Reminders, but with the caveat that it is only possible via an Exchange server or iCloud.
Contacts, calendar events, and notes can be synced via USB/iTunes (in addition to iCloud or Exchange).

Cannot upload or sync. my contact list from Windows Live Mail to iCloud and iPhone

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
