Windows Media Player does not recognize my device in bluetooth mode.

Windows Media Player recognizes my device when connected with a USB cable but not when connected via bluetooth in Windows 7. The WMDC recognizes my device in bluetooth mode without any problem. I would like to synchronize my device with Windows Media Player while in bluetooth mode. How can I get Windows Media to recognize my device in bluetooth mode.

I have a Pavilion a4310f Prod Nr: AY014AA-ABA running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I just discovered that Windows Media Player does not recognize songs I recently downloaded from the Wal-Mart Music Download Site. The songs can be seen in the Music Library in a folder named "Downloads" and I can open each song and it will play when double clicked. The problem is that I can not create a playlist containing the new songs and burn a copy of the playlist because the songs are not listed in the Media Player library no matter hot it is sorted (Artist, Album, Genre, etc).
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You might also want to consider moving the songs to my Music or the folder you have WMP set as your Music folder. You can find/change that folder in WMP by going to File ---> Manage Libraries
Launch WMP ----> Tools ----> Options --->Privacy and be sure that the Display information from the internet box is checked.

Windows media player does not recognize new CD when changing CDs in drive

I have a ThinkPad R61i that was purchased with a preinstalled downgrade from Vista to XP professional. Whenever I rip CDs using the built in DVD/CD player/burner, WMP doesn't recognize a new cd when I put one in. I am running WMP 11 for XP. The first CD is recognized after some switching around between tabs and, after it finishes burning it ejects the CD but when I put a different cd in, WMP acts like it still has the original CD. It will play the new CD and rip it but it rips over the original CD's file with the original CD's track listings. Anyone have this experience?

Try the following to force Windows Media Player to re-build the Library Database.
A useful utility for viewing all the files on your PC is called Free Commander, on the link below, as it displays folders that the Operating System normally hides and has a good search function.

This is a zipped file. If you don't have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip which can be used to open this so that you can run the installer.
Make sure Windows Media Player and Windows Media Centre are closed.
Launch Free Commander, double click Users, double click 'your user name', double click Local Settings, double click Application Data, double click Microsoft and double click Media Player. Delete all the files that have the extension .wmdb - do not delete any folders.
Close Free Commander and open Windows Media Player - it will now begin to re-build the library database which may take a while, but when it has finished see if the movie files play Ok now.

I use iTunes to sync with my iPod. I am not sure how or if you can do that with Windows Media player.

This laptop s a HP G71-340US model... Before it played all of my music and video files but lately it began giving me te error message... windows media player encountered an error when opening this file. It still plays quick time and mpg files but avi, mts, mod, movie clips, video clips.... they do not open or if they do they dont play right. I am frustrated as I have a project due i n a few days and I am working wth several movies taken with different cameras. Any ideas. I have uninstalled and reinstalled media player and tried running trouble shooters but no answers so far. Thanks.

Hey, I may have to if I can't get this one to work!!
I have tried a different USB to no avail. Both cables work on my old Dell so I don't believe they are the issue.
I uninstalled iTunes as directed by Apple Support and reinstalled. Apparently, Apple Mobile Device Support is not loading with it because it does not show up in programs.

When I go to a web site that may have several wmv files to view, if I view one, a new tab does not open for wmv. When I am through watching the clip, I close windows media, but it does not return me to the original web site, I just have a white screen and I have to go back and reload the page again to view another clip.

Brand New iPhone 5c; iOS 7.1; Does not recognize any devices over Bluetooth

I want to pair my Plantronics bluetooth (Pro HD) headset, to my iPhone 5c (running iOS 7.1, updated). Unfortunately the device is not being discovered, in fact all bluetooth devices are not detected in the search.
I didn't have any problem with my iPhone 4. I tested another Plantronics headset, and it didn't scan properly either (put it pairs with other phones). The iPhone 5c is in a search loop (for lack of a better word).
Are there any tricks? I already turned Bluetooth on then turned it on again. I turned the phone off and on again. Neither helped any bit.

Creative Soft. doesnt recognize device, Windows Media Player does.. please he

I used the "Removable Storage" function to transfer a .doc file between my computer and another. Later, I wanted to organize the music already on the device using Zen Micro Media Explorer, but this program, nor Creative Mediasource, etc, recognized the device as being plugged in. At that time, I was not even in "Removable Storage" mode anymore, I even disabled it completely to see if that did the trick. Windows Media Player does recognize the device as being plugged in, and the device's LCD screen also displays it as "Docked".
What do I do? Please help me.

If you're using firmware 2.xx.xx then the primary application to sync with the player will be Windows Media Player 0. If you wanted to use MediaSource or Media Explorer then you will either need to download the Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices or the correct Media Explorer that support PlaysForSure devices. Both are available at the download page.
