I need some help, trying to install skype it gives me a fatal error that says: Failed to get proc address for GetLogicalProcessorInformation (kernel.dll).I was wondering if there was any way to fix it and for those saying "get a better pc" i would but money is tight.

I am not technically minded and have searching for a solution to this problem on line but do not understand the solutions on offer. I have an error message that says ' this appllcation has failed to start because MSCVR80.dll was not fouond. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.' This is new and appears to have started after an itunes update failed to be installed. Does anyone know what I can do, I am in the UK.

kernel32.dll file and some other system files are loaded into a protected part of the computer's memory for use by other programs. In rare cases, a program may attempt to overwrite the protected memory area, which can
trigger a system crash, causing the system to display an error message in white text on a blue background, or to restart itself. Errors such as these may be caused by incompatible software, but are infrequent.
Here, I would like to suggest you temporarily turn off DEP on the problematic servers for test purpose.

Besides, please go to Event Viewer to check whether there is any error. If so, collect the Event log for further research.

SapSprint not getting installed in Windows Vista

Hi All,
We have SAP Front End installed in Windows Vista. We removed Saplpd.exe from the Vista machine & tried to install sapSprint (xsprint.exe). But we get the following error during installation & installation is halted:
"SAP Front-End setup has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program & notify you if a solution is availabe"
If anybody knows how to install sapSprint in Vista machine please let me know.

Here the OS type is not recognized by the application. (It is Win Vista OS). In other OS like XP & 2K it is able to identify. Is SapSprint not compatible with Vista OS?

Going through the suggestions:
* custom/3rd party JNI components: while the jvm args indicate a use of such components, there is actually none being used in this instance.
* overcommit: I'm not sure whether windows has any tunables for this, but from the memory information in the hs_err file I think this is not a problem here. The JVM has Xmx1500 + Xmn128 + permsize of 128, even with generous margins this should fit well into the 4G still available physical memory on the server.
* OS support: I'd believe that Windows 2008 SP1 is supported :)
* OS updates: I will check with the customer whether all updates are applied, and also whether an update of the OS itself is possible.
* hotspot/gc tuning: there are various tuning options applied, which have been determined by testing the application itself (load, functional, endurance tests), and have been found to work stable
There is one bug we're are aware of in 6u21 which affects the application (http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6938026), but without being able to decode the jvm.dll+0x1291fb address I cannot say for sure that this is the same bug.

It looks like you are working with a debug build:

But then further down in your output I see this:

You appear to be mixing debug and release libraries which will not work correctly.
This is in the following step in the blog post:

If you are creating a debug build you need to use oraocci11d.lib as input to the linker.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

SAP GUI Error - (GSS-APP DLL) on Windows Vista!

I am getting an error when setting up SAP GUI version 710 on Windows Vista.
When I try to set up an snc logon i get the following message:
Unable to load the GSS-API DLL named 'sncgss32.dll'
On Windows XP we have a GSSAPI32.DLL in the C drive and all is ok?

The following is working on Vista at a major client in DK. It is important to know wether you use a 32bit or 64bit Operating System. This example is with 32bit system.
Create a uservariable in MS Vista called SNC_LIB. Value is <drive>:\<path>\gsskrb5.dll
example: SNC_LIB=c:\windows\system32\gsskrb5.dll
the file gsskrb5.dll should ofcourse be placed in the folder specified above. You can download the file from microsoft or from SAP (I think it can be found in a note)
The you setup your SAP environment to handle SSO with the same file in the serversetup - i recommend only to use the gsskrb5.dl file. Verify that the setup is correct on the server. If it is correct the SNC tab will exist on transaction SU01 and when you enter the correct value in the "SNC name" field the should pop up a green checkmark..
In the gui on the specific system you should enter the following value in the Secure Network setting "SAPService<system id>@<domain>".
It should work without problem.. If you have an older version of SAP you should perhaps try out the GSSNTLM.DLL file instead of GSSKRB5.DLL. That can sometimes help if it does not work.

The Acrobat 8.x product family passed into End of Support way back -- (November 2011).
