On calls, my wired headset remains active even though the headset is not being used.

Wired Headset - still in headset mode after unplugging

I just invested in a new original APPLE in-ear headset c/w mic to use with my IPhone 3G. Mainly to use whilst driving. (Stringent rules in Singapore - they confiscate your handphone plus a fine plus demerit points for your drivers' license if caught using the phone without headsets/handsfree) However, after unplugging the headset, the IPhone seem to still be in headset mode. when i try to call after unplugging the headset, the other party cannot hear me and neither can i hear anything at all. Unless i press the "Speaker" button. Or switch off my Iphone and then switch it on again. I love my Iphone to death but this is really irking me. Can someone please help? Thanks!!!

Not getting any notification sounds through my wired headset...WHY??

Hi, I have a small problem with my Z10, No notification sounds come through at all when I have my wired headset is plugged in.
The phone rings as normal during incoming calls/ txts and all I get is muted sound when listening to music at the time of the call.
I've the very latest 10.3 update but it's still not working. I want to be able to hear any notifications that arrive to my phone when my wired headset is plugged in. It must be an easy fix??

It says "Stop Email Updates" (indicating I should be getting them). Also, they do not show up in an spam folder. My almost worthless ISP always tells me they need headers from rejection notices that senders get when they try to send me something. But how am I supposed to get those? No one I ever have this problem with ever says they get a rejection notice.

E71 and bluetooth/FM wired headset concurrently

Hi all...
I want to listen to an FM radio through the bluetooth headset. So is it possible to connect the wired headset (as an antenna only) and also turn on the bluetooth to get the radio and phone calls through it? alternatively has anyone had any experience on the E71 with one of those rare bluetooth headsets that have a built in FM radio in them? will the E71 fully support radio and mp3 operation with such a gadget? (mp3 from the E71 and FM radio switchable from the bluetooth).
Requiring I guess full A2DP support or suchlike...

Hi, I was intrigued with the first part of your question that I did not think of it first since I have both a bluetooth headset and the original wired headset.. so I will do this when I reach home and tell you if it works...
as for the 2nd part of your question, I would think that the bluetooth you mentioned is the one having the radio transceiver and that it is using that instead of your phone radio... I would guess that because I also have a FM/AM headset, albeit wired, and it has its own transceiver... so you have to ask the maker of that particular headset for the capability... I guess you could ask whether, if you are listening to radio on the headset, could you still accept calls along the way (my bet is you can)... if so, then you can use it on your e71...

Wired headset adjust volume

I seem to have stumped all support folks...has anyone figured out how to adjust the volume for the media player when listening through the wired headphones? I have played with all the advanced volume controls...even put the phone on vibrate and this doesn't affect the wired headset settings. it's still too loud for me even when i use the lowest setting on the exterior volume control on the 8120. thanks.

Wired headset problems with 4.5

I have an 8130 with Verizon and successfully downloaded the 4.5 software upgrade. However, when I make or receive calls when using my wired headset I have no sound unless I plug in the headset after the call has connected. This is dangerous when driving, as I may have to re-plug it in several times before I get sound.
Is there a fix in place for this soon?

Does the same thing after FF or RWD using the media player, pause seems to work okay...
...No fix that I know of...but the work-around I have been using (rather then plugging in after the call or unplugging then re-plugging) is, FF or RWD to the part you want, press the menu key scroll to "Activate Speakerphone" select it, then press the menu key and scroll to "Activate Headset" and select that. This is what I have been using with media, should work with calls. It's still a pain in the neck but cuts the wear and tear on the headset jack itself which from my experience can be a vulnerable part. Until they come up with a fix.

Wired Headset or Wired Earbud problems

I have had my Blackberry 8330 since April of this year (2009) Overall, happy with it! I noticed that I my wired headset/earbuds (that came in the box with my Curve) would sometimes crackle and stop working. It would literally seem as though it is switching from my wired set to its regular mode (phone earpiece) on its own. I was amazed that when I used the wired earbuds while on the phone, how clear it sounds... however, it still makes that popping noise and is VERY intermittent. One day while I was driving, it was going in and out so much, I had to pull them out and just put the phone next to my head. (ANNOYING) So far, my carrier is not very helpful with all of this. They want to hold my phone hostage for two hours and TRY to fix it!
Another observation.. when I have these wired headset/earbuds plugged in, and it starts popping... if I have the phone on one ear, and the earbud in another... I can hear it switching, on its own from earbud to phone - back and forth intermittently. It does the same thing, if I'm listening to music on the phone as well!
If anyone could just check their phone and try to use the wired earbuds/headset that comes with your Curve, I'd appreciate it. There may be a REAL problem here that no one has found and needs to be fixed. If you HAVE this problem, please help by reporting it and replying to this thread.

I am having the same problem. Also,when using the headset that comes with the phone, others have complained that it sounds like I am talking from the wrong end of a megaphone. I am trying to find a headset that works on these phones. Is anyone using a headset (pref wired) that has great clarity? I am trying to solve the same issue. Maybe with tow of us, we can get some solutions! Andy

Excessive background noise when using Wired Headset with iPhone5

I use my wired headset all the time on my iPhone 5 64gb. Driving working you name it. I get complaints over and over again that my background noise is very often louder than I am. A friend of mine experiences the same issues. So I know its not just me. I have already gone to the Apple Store and had the phone replaced but I still get complaints. I just called Apple and they said they have never heard of the issue. It's my biggest complaint about the iPhone 5 mainly because its how I use it most of the time.
Anyone else having this problem? If so, lets make sure Apple is aware of it so it can be fixed.

yes, my iPhone 5, when used with a corded headset, picks up and amplifies background noise to earsplitting levels. Same for the 2 other people I know with iPhone 5s. It makes using a corded headset all but impossible in most situations, unless I am in a quiet environment in which I am not doing anything.

Wired Headset issue

My Tour shows that I have a headset plugged in( all the time)...when I don't. I can not hear the phone without a wired headset. My bluetooth doesn't work because of this. I have shut down, removed the battery 4 times. Is it time for a new bbery?

First, try plugging IN a wired headset and while it is still plugged in, listen to some media or music and choose Menu > Handset or whatever the menu item is that you see to return the sound from the wired headset to speakerphone.

Pre Stuck on Wired Headset after removing plug

Im hoping someone else has had this problem. I had my pre plugged in to my desktop speakers in my office playing music yesterday. I noticed since then that even after i unplugged it and left my office my phone still thinks the wired headset is connected and the only way i can hear an incoming call is through my bluetooth or on speaker phone. I have removed the battery adn completely rebooted the phone but no change.
If i am connected to my bluetooth when I get a phone call i can do two things
1) answer with the bluetooth button - person is on bluetooth speaker
2) answer with the phone touchscreen - person is on earpiece speaker and works fine.
The earpiece is still working fine, but the phone is just stuck thinking there is something connected to the headphone jack. I have tried plugging things in and out of the jack but it doesnt help.
Any thoughts?

Well i went back just now and got a little more violent with it (it has insurance what the hell). I plugged my wired headset in and turned on the music. i tried plugging and unplugging and when i put a fair amount of pressure on the plug towards the front of the phone while unplugging it it finally kicked back over to the normal speaker mode. Phone is back to earpiece when dialing out again so it is fixed!

MO operations deleted but PR is still active

In one of our issue, the user has deleted the external service operation in MO, but when we looked into PR, it seems to be still active.By rite, the PR has to be cancelled once the operation is deleted.Can anyone tell me is there any logical checks has to be done....

Is it PO in place of MO/ what is that MO? Did you refr pR for creating PO, if po is deletd then your PR quanity is not consumend so PR will be active or open, check the stat tab of PR in disply mode you will find the details of the PR/PO conversion/GR/inv , the actual stge of the document.

How can I stop someone from receiving iMessages on their old disconnected iPhone, w'hich is still active in iMessage, when the number now belongs to someone else with a non apple device!?!

To further clarify my dilemma ....
A friend of mine just got a new phone number on her LG cell phone.
When I try to text her, my messages are going to someone else's iPhone.
The iPhone has been deactivated off the VZ cell network, but they are still using it on WIFI.
They used to have this number on their iPhone, and it's still active in iMessage.
So, when I try to send a text message to my friend on her LG, from my iPhone,
they instead go to this total stranger, cuz they still have that number active in their iMessage account.
This is a serious issue!!
The only suggestion I get from apple support is to have my friend get a new number, or for me to turn off iMessage when I want to text her.
Not really the optimum solution.
Something really should be done to prevent this from happening!
Strangers are effectively intercepting text messages!

Just open up iTunes on your computer -> Go to the iTunes Store -> Click your e- maill address (top right corner of the window) -> Type in your password for your Apple ID -> Under Computer Authorisations (underneath your Apple ID account balance and address) -> Press 'Deauthorise All'
-> This will deauthorise all computers and devices from your iTunes account -> you then need to re- authorise any computers/ devices you would like to use with your Apple ID for iTunes content -> to do this, select the Store tab along the menu at the top (where 'File', 'Edit', 'View' etc..... are) -> Then click 'Authorise this Computer' -> Type in your Apple ID -> Voila!
For any iOS devices (non- computers) you wish to re- authorise, these will automatically do so when you go to play iTunes content, download an app or anything like that on those devices!

When I click on my settings and iMessage it says that it is still waiting for activation... and my phone number is grayed out. I am able to recieve an iMessage to my email and that could work for right now but i'm not sure how to start a conversation the defaults to being sent from my email and not my cell phone number. please help!

Really strange problem you have there. I have a few questions though.
Please try again and try to make the phone as a new without restoringen with you iCloud-data or backup-data from iTunes. Maybe it is something wrong with the data (strange).
Anyway, i think you should call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store, don't forgot to make a Genius Bar reservation.
