Wish List, Shopping List in iTunes store?

I want to save items of interest for possible future purchase, but can't find any way to do it in the iTunes store. Amazon has Shopping List and Wish List, as do other sites, but it appears that the iTunes store has nothing like this. I don't think the shopping cart will work, because everything in it gets purchased at once, so you can't really save things for later.
Any tips?

I tried your suggestion, and came up with more problems.
I couldn't drag movies from the store into the new playlist. The only way I can get a list view is to do a power search, and I can then drag movies from the resulting list view to the playlist. However, iTunes treated almost all of them as music; only a few showed up as movies. Also, the search results (all movie rentals) that I got in the list view omitted a lot of rentals that show up on the main store page.
I get the impression that your method is supposed to be easier than this.

  • Cannot access shopping cart in iTunes store.

I can access the iTunes store just fine; however, I can't get to my shopping cart.
I can no longer access my shopping cart. I clicked on it today and was prompted to agree to new terms and conditions; I did so. I was then forwarded to another screen which indicated my purchase could not be completed at this time, and my selection in the left-hand column was automatically changed from 'Shopping Cart' to 'iTunes Store.' From this point, whenever I've selected 'Shopping Cart' I've received an error prompt (Unknown error 5002).
I decided to update my iTunes version, but that has not helped at all.

Spent a while in the "loop" myself (agreeing to new terms for iTunes 7.6 (29), then reviewing my account info.) - now I'm out of the loop but still getting the 5002 error. I tried signing out & signing back in, quitting, restarting, fiddling with one-click, and everything else I've seen in various discussion boards. Still no luck.
    Anybody have any definitive answer???

  • Album listed as purchased in iTunes store, not appearing anywhere else.

About a year ago I purchased the album "Is This It" by The Strokes. I just recently purchased a new iPod Touch 64GB, and when downloading music to it, I realized that the ablum was not showing up in my library anywhere. It also doesn't apper in my library on iTunes on my desktop PC. However, when I check the iTunes store, it is listed as purchased. It doesn't even appear in the Purchased section of the iTunes store. I've noticed this with other albums as well, and single songs just not appearing anywhere in my libraries. What can I do?

Where exactly are you looking for it ? It won't show in your iTunes library unless you download it.
You should be able to download it into your library by ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box on the Store tab in iTunes > Preferences - it should then show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against it for downloading (downloading the booklet for it this way may not work, you may get a 'corrupt file' message when trying to open it, I was over the first couple of days when trying it).
Or go to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage and you should be able to download it from there.
A third option is to sign out of your account (Store > Sign Out menu option), find the album in the store and then click on its free 'price' button - you should then be prompted to sign back in and the album should download.

  • What happened to the option to buy your entire wish list in the iTunes Store?

There use to be a "purchase your entire wish list" option in the iTunes store. So instead of buying 12 songs one at a time for $0.99 each, you could make one purchase for $11.88. That option appears to have been removed, or hidden. At least I can't find it anymore. If it's hidden, where is it? If it's gone, why??

I should have read further before posting. Sorry. I see reading elsewhere the option was indeed removed. Hope they bring it back. Posted feedback to that end as suggested elsewhere. Thanks.

  • Only in my Wish List = itunes store not available?

    Hi,
With my ATV2 ......... Recently  when I click on  a film in my  "Wish List" I am getting "itunes store not available ,try again later"............however, if I select the  film from  film list or search I can watch it  - so the itunes store  IS available!!  This never used to be a problem and I could always watch trailers by clicking on the film in my Wish List.
It is nice to determine which movies to watch by  checking out the trailer directly from  my  Wish List as I have a LOT of films in there ready to go.
Anyone got any suggestion - I would be most greatful .
    Regards
    Derro

  • ITunes Store "Purchased" list doesn't include all items actually purchased

I noticed that some songs seemed to be missing from the "purchased" list of songs under ITunes Store. There are 358 items listed. I created 2 smart playlists "Kind Contains Protected" and Kind Contains Purchased" and got a total of 383 items, and it includes the songs I noticed are missing from the Purchased list.
However, If I go into my Purchase History, the songs show up there! What could cause the Purchased list from not showing everything?

    Try:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
Are you saying that it is not listed here:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Is the computer signed into the same iTunes account that purchased the song?
Is it listd in your Purchases History? iTunes>Store>View Accountc>login>Purchase History?

  • ITunes Store Back Button

When shopping in the iTunes Store, I'm having a problem with the back button or back swipe on my mouse.
It seems only to happen when I've done a search.
For example, If I search for "Horror"  it brings me to "Showing Results," which includes Apps, Books, Movies, etc.  I then scroll down to "Books" and select "See All."  if I select a specific title to read the description, and then try to go back, it brings me all the way back to the "Showing Results" list, rather than the "See All" list.  This can become extremely annoying after shopping for a while.
Is there any way to go back to the "See All" list instead?  Perhaps a combination of keys?
    Thanks for any help.

I agree and just sent this as feedback. iTunes 10 would not only go back to the See All, but would take you to the row of your last selection. This curent version is driving me crazy when looking for apps.

  • Why isn't iTunes Store available in Georgia (the country)?

Georgia is not in the list of countries where iTunes Store is available. We can not indicate Georgia during Apple ID registration and can not use credit or debit cards from Georgian banks to buy apps or media from iTunes Store. What's the reason for his (when iTunes Store is available in all the othe countries of the region)?

That's pretty obvious but the question is why? The whole idea of a cloud is that it doesn't matter where you are...

  • When i try and authorize my computer with itunes it says the itunes store is temporarily unavailable

when i try and authorize my computer with itunes it says the itunes store is temporarily unavailable

    Hello Alark26,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you're continuing to receive the error where you cannot connect to the iTunes Store, I'd like you to please follow the directions outlined below.
    Troubleshoot issues in Windows
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store for more than a day (and other customers on our discussion boards aren't experiencing similar issues) a software or Internet service provider (ISP) configuration issue may be blocking your access to the iTunes Store. Find out which ports and servers need to be allowed for iTunes Store access.
Update iTunes to the latest version.
If iTunes Store appears empty and only displays the message iTunes Store, follow these steps.
Try the steps to troubleshoot iTunes Store connectivity in Windows.
As with all firewalls not manufactured by Apple, you may need to configure Windows Firewall to allow iTunes to access the iTunes Store. Follow these steps for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
Try disabling any proxies built-in to Windows. You should avoid proxies because they can cause issues.
If you're receiving a specific error message, follow these steps.
If the issue still persists, contact your Internet service provider and confirm that these ports and serversare enabled over your network.
Note: The hosts file may be blocking the iTunes Store.
Microsoft's article How do I reset the hosts file back to the default? has instructions and a FixIt to have Windows try to reset the hosts defaults for you.
Note: Some workplaces may put internal resources in the hosts file and may block iTunes Store. The FixIt doesn't work for Windows 8.
To create a copy of your hosts file and replace it with an empty hosts file, follow the instructions below:
You can find the hosts file at: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC.
Select the hosts file. There should now be a duplicate of the hosts file named "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts-copy" (Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8).
Drag the original hosts file to your desktop.
Right-click the duplicate file and choose Open. You may be prompted to choose the program you want to use to open this file. Double-click Notepad.
When Notepad opens, choose Edit > Select All.
    Choose Edit > Delete.
    Choose File > Save.
    Close Notepad.
Right-click the duplicate file, and choose Rename.
Type "hosts" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
Restart your computer and try connecting to the iTunes Store.
If you still can't connect to the iTunes Store, your security software or firewall may be blocking the ability of iTunes to communicate with the Internet. Learn how to resolve security software issues.

  • What seems to be the trouble? I can't download from the iTunes store. From the Itunes

How should I go trough the account info page for the first time, in order to be able to download apps from the store, while my country isn't listed?

Check here >  iTunes Store: Which types of items can I buy in my country?
Apple - Choose your country or region
Your payment method must be associated with same country in which you reside. Changing the country to purchase apps won't work.
I'm afraid you may be out of luck.

Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
     Troubleshoot issues on a Mac
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store, a software conflict or your Internet service provider (ISP) may be blocking your access.

  • ITunes Store Geographic localization

I reckon that, for Apple Store (the one selling all the physical stuff, like iPods), it's normal they won't sell stuff all over the world, because there's shipping, taxes, and all. But what I don't get is why the same happens for, say, apps store? Why can Americans purchase stuff British, French, Japanese, or Brazilian people can't? What's the problem with enabling the same downloads for all customers worldwide? They're paying with money, anyways.
This really becomes a problem when you live in a "unfavored" country, like Brazil. Here, iTunes store is simply made of the appstore. There are no songs for sale, no movies, no podcasts for download, no tv shows, nor audiobooks. Why is that?

What's the problem with enabling the same downloads for all customers worldwide?
Apple hasn't acquired permission to sell enough content of that type in a country to open an iTunes Store section for that content, or in the case of specific items, doesn't have permission to sell that item in that country; the copyright may be held by a different person or group in different countries.
This doesn't apply to podcasts; those can be downloaded from any computer with an Internet connection from any iTunes Store that lists them. The iTunes Store doesn't host podcasts; it just provides a listing of those downloadable elsewhere.

  • I keep getting a message stating my internet connection timed out when trying to sign in to the iTunes store.

When I attempt to log into the iTunes store, I get an error message stating that my internet connection has timed out.  I am able to access the internet otherwise.  I am running on my home WiFi network from AT&T.  I've removed iTunes and reinstalled it several times with the same outcome.  Is there anything that I may be over looking, such as internet speed, etc?  I've also check my firewall and pop up blocker and the program is allowed.

i've been having trouble for the last couple weeks, and after spending HOURS trying every solution i could find, i still can't get the store to load, or for itunes to stop hanging my computer. however, through the process of elimination, i did figure out that i had a router that died. got that going now, just wish i could get the itunes store to work.

  • Uploading a DVD to iTunes store

    Hello all!
First let me start by saying I never used iTunes to begin with (always used alternatives for my iPod) so I'm a beginner in this case so please go easy on me.
To get to the point, my society created a DVD that we wish to share over the iTunes store, I was just wandering what is the procedure to actually have something in the store or better yet is it possible for just anybody (even outside the U.S.) to have paid content in the store?
Thank you in advance for your answerers.

    Your knowledge is faulty.
    1. You don't have to use iPhoto to get anything to Facebook. You can upload through any web browser.
    2. The only way to get the vide o from a DVD is to rip it - that is copy and transcode it from the DVD to a format that Facebook can understand.
There are lots of apps that will rip a DVD. Search on MacUpdate
