(ex:if 100 kgs we procured lot has to created in quality with 10 kgs

Follow the Below step.
1. Go to QDR1 enter 3char header Press enter.
2. In 2nd screen Enter Decrip and Choose At Lot Creation and Enter reset period 9999
3. Click -> (Arrrow in Top) It will going to New screen.
Create 2 Stage One for Inspection and 2nd for Skip
Stge:1, Insp Sev 4, Tick Ist Enter Description as Inspection required and press enter.
In another small popup screen enter no of Inspection 1 (Bcz your case after 1 Inspection go to SKIP), New Stage as 2, Rej 1, New 1,
Stage2, Tick in SKIP, and Maintain No Skip as 4 (Bcz your case You need inspection after 4 lot) New Stage 1 (Bcz after complete the 4 lot it will go to 1st stage for Inspection.), Rej 1 , New Insp 1.
Save.
Then attach the same thing to Quality Inspection Plan QP01
In Header Detail Screen (2 nd screen) Choose DMR at lot level and assign the your created DMR.
For any query revert.

Since you didn't say much, I assume you are creating stock into ECC via LSMW using 561 movement. Now to get inspection lot for these batches/ docs, you need to activate inspection type 05.
Go to material master QM view, assign and activate inspection type 05.
Additionally, create a respective inspection plan/ task list for the material(s) to carry out RR and get the consistent inspection lots.

Material not posted in quality and no inspection lot has been created

Dear All,
We are trying to carry out the sales return scenario . we have activated the inspection types 06 and 12 to the material how ever when we do the PGR for the returns order the returns is carried out and the stock goes in unrestricted and not in quality .
Please advice how to resolve this issue

Follow the below Customer Return procedure.
Case1.
The 06 - Inspection type is not stock relevant and also it is not possible to change bcz it is SAP std.
1. If you want inspection for Customer with stock, active 05 - Inspection type in Material Master, and move the stock from customer return to QI by using MB1B with Mvt type 457 Stock transfer returns to QI. After that system will create the Inspection lot in 05 Inspection type.
2. If don't want stock for inspection and directly post to Unrestricted using MB1B with mvt type 453 Transfer posting to returns from customer to Unrest.
3. Customer return to Blocked stock using MB1B with mvt type 459 Stock transfer returns to blocked
Case2.
Inspectoin type 05 is a stock relevant inspection type.
To use 05 you must assign the 05 inspection type to the delivery item in configuration.
follow this path.
tcode vov6 - there will be schedule line category DN.
go to details of DN.In Business data,check which movement type is assigned here.
I think in your case it will be 653.
change it to 655 and try now.

Integration with EWM-Inspection lot not getting created

Hi,
Inspection lot not getting created after GR is done.
The scenario is Storage location is connected to external warehouse management,so after the GR is done in the legacy system via interface it is updated in ECC.so while checking the material document inpection lot is not created.
Can anyone please tell me the necesaary check points and integeration steps between WM and QM in this case .

Multiple GR with Same inspection lot

Hi QM Experts,
In a standard system, when we take GR of same material for two different line items of PO or two different POu2019s, inspection lot created for each GR post with different batch number.
But what we want is one inspection lot for all of this GR and same batch number, because we make only one inspection for the goods received with same batch.
Can any expert suggest idea about this thing, thanks a lot.

Inspection lot should not be created in stock transfer

Hai QM masters,
    I have a following scenarios in my client side
My client have 5 plants
   1)When a material is moved from one plant 1 to plant 2using stock transport order inspection lot is created since i have activated the 08 inspection type in the material master for partcularly for the movement type 349.But we have to restrict for the stock transport order from plant 1 and 2.Hw to restrict this?
2)Second scenario is When a material is tranfered from plant 2 to plant 4 using stock transport order inspection lot is created with number starting 800000XXX since i have activated the 08 inspection type in the material master.But when they do 349 movement inspection lot created with same number range how to restrict this?

    THank you for ur reply.
I have activated the 08 inspection type for a material (say A) in both plants 1,2 and 3 for the 349 movement type.
But when they do stock transport order from plant 1 and 2 inspection lot get created when they receive it in plant 2.
My requirement is this shouuld not be created.
For the second one when they do stock transport order for material A from plant 2 to plant 3,the inspection lot no. is 800000XXX which starts with 8 which is the same as the inspection lot created when they do 349 in plant 3.My requirement is they should have different number ranges.
These happens because in both the scenarios inspection lot origin is 08.
How to restrict these?

Inspection lot creation during STO return

Hello Gurus,
is there a trick to trigger inspection lot creation during STO return ?
Scenario is the following:
1 - Creation of STO
2 - Supplying plant ships materials... stock in transit
3 - Receiving plant receives materials
4 - Materials with defects -> Receiving plant add new line with return tick on the same material
5 - GI from Receiving plant... stock in transit
6 - Supplying plant receives materials -> Inspection lot has to be created
I used inspection type 08 on Receiving plant w/o success.

No inspection lot is created when we return Materials to Vendor (Plant A) even if we maintain Inspection type 02.
Before STO customizing, Plant B creates a subcontracting purchase order. Next Materials are sending to Vendor (Plant A) and put in "Stock provided to vendor" (Transaction ME2O).
Vendor (Plant B) creates a Repair request (Sales document / Transaction VA01). Next run VRRE to reveice Materials to repair. Inspection lot is automatically created. The usage decision triggers the creation of Service order to manage all the repairing flow. Last step is to deliver Materials to Plant A and create Repair invoice.
Repair request supports all repairing flow (inspection lot, service oder...), especialy status (out of warranty or not).
After STO customizing, I expected the following result:
1° - Return STO to Vendor (Plant A) / ME21N with return tick
2° - Plant B ships Materials / MIGO wih 101 (SAP converts in 161)
3° - Stock in Transit
4° - Materials receive to Vendor (Plant B) / VL10B
5° - Creation Inspection lot
6° - UD triggered Service order creation
7° - ...Repairing flow with Service order...
8° - Materials ship to Plant B
9° - Repair invoice
10° - Stock in Transit
11° - Plant B receives Materials
As I said, there are 2 blocking points:
- Inspection lot not created when Vendor receives Materials
- Service order not created automatically (because no Repair request to support inspection lot, service order...)

Re: Cancellation of an inspection lot

Hi All,
I need to reverse an GR posting. In this case QM is being implemented. So At the time of GR posting an inspection lot has also been created .Now due to some error in the document,The user need to reverse the Goods receipt .But as he tries to do it Message is prompted by the system "No items were transferred"
I do believe is that the system is not allowing to cancel the GR posting because of the inspection lot.
Now please advice how to proceed further.

Hi,
1. If the inspection lot not yet cleared, then you can cancel the GR document by using MBST.
2. If the Inspection lot has been cleared, you can't cancel the GR.
Instead cancel you can reverse the GR by using MB31 with 102 movement type and stock type as unrestricted.
3. Go to QA02 enter inspection lot number press enter Got to menu -- > Function ---> Cancel Lot
Revert for any query.

[QM] How to create an inspection lot with task list assigned?

Hello, everyone.
I know, the similar questions have been asked plenty of times, but I am still unable to find a suitable receipe of the inspection lot creation. My goal is to create an inspection lot programmatically and be able to record its results using, e.g., BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS.
Creating a lot does not appear to be a big problem. I just call the following FMs:
QPL1_INITIALIZE
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE
QPL1_UPDATE_MEMORY
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOTS_POSTING
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
As a result, I have a new shiny inspectin lot, but it comes with statuses "CRTD" and "CHCR". I do specify PLNAL and PLNNR fields values for the QALS structure which is passed to QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE, but that does not seem to have any effect. When I call BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS later (result values and inspection points come from another lot which is used as a template), it reports of beging unable to find characteristics for the inspection operations (error E026).
Does anyone know which of the QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE parameters affect task list assignment besides PLNAL and PLNR? Or maybe there is a special FM which associates a task list with an inspection lot?

Hi Samuel,
You can get create an Agent as a Task by using the following steps:
1. Go to Customizing --> EHS --> Industrial Hygiene & safety --> Risk Assessment --> Specify Agent Types
2. Click on "TASK' Agent type and click on Details icon (CtrlShiftF2)
3. In the "Only EHS-IHS" drop down, Select "No"
4. Save the entry
5. Now try creating an Agent [CBIH92] and you can create an Agent as a Task.

Inspection lot with Production Order

Hi friends,
I am PP consultant and need some help in setting up a scanario of Production order with inspection lot.
I need to setup a scenario where a inpspection lot is created from production order manually (not at the time of release). The purpose is to post few quantity of production order to scrap storage location. Inspection lot needs to be created only in certain production orders where some of the quantity has to be declared as scrap and that needs to be rejected with usage decision.
can any one please suggest the overview of such scenario.

Dear Rohit,
You want to create a manual inspection lot only for the purpose of Scrapping and also want it to be done with Usage Decision.
You can not use inspection type 89, as it is not stock relevant (Inspection type for Miscellaneous inspection),
There is one another solution with inspection type 08( inspection for Material Movement), but it might look Lengthy.
1. Release a Production order. say 100 qty.
2. If during process, 10 is scrap, then perform Partial Confirmation of 10 Qty.; Stock will be in Unrestricted.
3. Now, through MB1B, transfer 10 qty from Unrestricted to QI.
4. As you have inspection type 08 active, System will create an Inspection lot for 10 Qty.
5. You can post this whole 10 qty to Scrap while giving Usage Decision.
I think, in your process, Scrapping is not done frequently, that is why you do not want inspection lot at every production order.
in that case this solution may solve your problem.

Inspection lot should be created only for particular vendor

Can anyone please help in achieving the below scenario:
*Material has been assigned to the inspection type A (one time inspection) has been set as preffered and active in the inspection set up in the material master.
*Quality level has been created for material and vendor such that inspection should be carried out when next stage is 1 and no inspection should carried out when next stage is 2.
*Tasklist has been assigned with material and vendor .
Material can be supplied by different vendors,For this material, inspection should be done only for one vendor and for other vendors there should not be any inspection to be done and no inspection lot should be created.i.e Inspection lot should be created only for one vendor say AA whereas now inspection lot is getting created when goods receipt is done for the purchase order with other vendor BB.
My requirement is the inspection lot should not be created when goods receipt is done with other vendors say BB except AA.
Is there any other way other than using quality info record to achieve this.
I can try with DMR but the thing is there should not be inspection lot created while posting GR.
can anyone suggest me any other way to achieve this requirement.

There are user exits when you create an inspection lot. One of those could be used to suppress the inspection lot. Have you looked at these? Have you researched any QM user exits yourself yet? This isn't the first time this specific question has been asked over the years.
It's not hard and there are lists of QM user exits available all over the internet.
Please do some research.
You can also assign vendors to inspection plans with a DMR that requires one inspection, and than after that creates all skip lot inspections which you automatically close by a batch job. The first lot can be manually forced closed. Thereaftter all receipts would be skipped. Not 100% but pretty darn close. This requires that you know which vendors to assign to which plan. Probably as much data maintenance as maintaing the Q-info records.
And yes.. your client needs to come up with better reasons than "I don't wanna..". It's part of a consultants job to convince them.

GRN With 2line items(material,batch same)one inspection lot for 2line items

Dear Experts
As and when we make a GRN with 2 line items and same batch number we enter no. of containers differently but only the number from the first line item is flowing into the Inspection lot origin.We are creating only one inspection lot for 2 line items as the batch number is same for the items.
1. In material master i have given 01 inspection type ( with control inslot.. Each material document,batch, storage location) :---
this is the reason system is creating only one inspection lot.
i am entering manually same batch number for 2line items...
Here my problem is ... while giving UD... SYSTEM IS PICKING ONLY FIRST LINE ITEM NO.OF CONTAINER... IT HAS TO BE BOTH LINE ITEMS CONTAINERS.... IT IS PICKING BOTH LINE ITEMS QUANTITY... NO.CONTAINER ONLY IT IS NOT PICKING....

Creating inspection lot for vendor returns

Hi All,
In Subcontracting, components are sent to vendor using Mov Type 541, if vendor returns the components without any value addition we recieve the goods with Mov type 542.
Now, when we recieve the goods using 542 customer requires that the material has to be posted to quality inspection and a lot has to be created.
I have already tried with inspection type 08 but its not working.
Any ideas how it can be done?

Hi Naveen,
You have come across a common problem in later releases of SAP. Ram is nearly right in the settings for control of inspection lots for goods movements. In the standard system movement type 542 has no inspection lot origin assigned, so even if you have maintained an inspection type for your material there is no "trigger" for the inspection lot creation from that movement type. Unfortunately, you cannot change the inspection lot origin settings for movement types. The only choice you have is to create (as a copy) a customer defined movement type (one which already has the appropriate inspection lot origin assigned) and use that instead. You have to also be careful about the 'Quantity' and 'Value' updating strings for your new movement type.

PROBLEMS CANCELING MOVEMENTS WITH INSPECTION LOT

We have this situation:
We need to reset the GD returns but this GD returns was posted by QM and when we try to cancel in VL09 we meet the next message Message no. QA046.
So we tried to cancel in other ways with the inspection lot and the usage decision but it has not been possible to restore movement.
We found the note 175842 and we have implemented the program RQEVAC50 but, when we useit we meet the message M7226
We checked the movement Z55 and its opposite Z56. I suppose its standard movement is the 651 and 652 and I compared the customizing of them. They can be similar it just the movement Z55 and Z56 are prepared to be posted by QM and special stock E and Q.
The movement that we need to reset with the program RQEVAC50 is:
We have tried to use the program for a movement 101 and it worked well (5000795975).
We tried to test with a return delivery with Z55 movement in another environment and the program worked correctly so we think the customizing of the movement Z55 is correct.
We think the problem is when the usage decision creates some movements or we use some of the next fields in the usage decision:
In our case the movements are 321 and Z56.
But when the movements are the standards 321 and 553 program doesn’t work because we meet the next message again M7096
