Without changing anything: Live view looks fine, but "preview in browser" does not
I haven't made any changes to our website in months. When I opened my index page, I did not change anything yet, but did a "preview in browser" and my whole slideshow is missing! It's still fine on the live website, as I haven't uploaded anything. Help.... why is it doing this? I need to add a small icon to our homepage, but I don't want to upload this page if it's not going to work!

And, being embedded in JavaScript, they will not be found to be 'adjusted' by DW, even when using temporary files to preview. I'm afraid you will have to just lump the fact that they are not displaying in preview mode.

Everything looks fine, but can't browse internet (BEFW11S4)
My BEFW11S4 v4 won't connect to internet anymore.
Firmware is updated (v4 1.52.03).
Tried to turn off/on both modem and router.
I did a hard reset by pressing the reset button on the back of the router.
The only setting I changed after the reset was Internet Setup. Set connection to PPPOe, entered my username and password, saved.
In Status>Router page, Login status goes 'connected' after a few seconds. Internet IP Address changes from 0.0.0.0 to 200.132.....
In Status>Local Network>DHC Client Table I can see my machine is there. I can connect to the router either by Ethernet or wireless.
But I cannot visit any website. The browser always says 'server not found'.
If I plug may Macbook directly to the modem and configure a PPPOe connection (using same ID/password), then I it works fine.
Any tips would be appreciated. Could this be a hardware problem and I'd better replace my router? It's about 8 years old now...

I changed MTU from 'disabled' to 'enabled' then set its size to 1400. Nothing changed.
Then I tried to ping the IP address (I'm on a Mac, the procedure is different but I believe the result is the same) and that was the result (IP address partially replaced by 'XXX' in this message).:

I understand this is the expected answer: no packet loss.
I did not try disabling Proxy Settings on Internet Explorer, because I do not use IE (all settings were done with Firefox 7 Mac).
Then I borrowed another router from a friend – a Linksys WRT54GS – and it worked fine!

Audigy 2 - Card working fine, but the drivebay-panel does not!

I recently installed a Audigy 2 PCI-card + drivebay-panel in my computer (Win7 x64) installed the drivers from Creatives official website and it's working fine! However that is only the ports on the card itself, i can't seem to get the front panel to work. The original correct flat-cable connects the two (also the 1394-cable) and a floppy-power connector is hooked up to the drive. The optical-S/PDIF Out lights up so it apparently gets power at least, but when i plug my headphones or a mic in i get no sound (knobs are turned up of course) and no reaction on the computer.
I looked in the manual, but there's not much info on the drive. Can't find anything in the knowledge base either, so i'm resorting to this forum
Anyone got an idea what the error might be? I don't think that the drive is physically broken as it's been handled with care and there's no sparks flying or anything Thankful for your help!

This is usually caused by the cable being upside down on either the sound card or the I/O bay. Rotate the cable on both at different times and see if it works
Hi! Appriciate your answer! However the cable and pins, at least on my card, are made assymetric with "missing" pins which match filled holes in the cable, so that it can not be plugged in the wrong way. I will try plugging the cable in the other way around though, but i doubt that's the error.
Would i need to re-install the driver/software package in order to make it work with the computer? Or will it just be "plug and play" once i have the PCI card drivers/software installed already? My computer is painstakingly slow with uninstalling and installing this...

This is a log-in page, which points to our email registration software's server (Tikit's Emerge Reaction Server). If you open in it in the last version of FF, it looks as expected. The page renders fine in IE6 and IE8, and all our other website pages (www.mofo.com) render fine in both ver. of FF - its just the pages that point to our emerge-reaction server site that won't render properly. Tikit says we are the only user having this problem, and they don't know what the problem is caused by. Help!?

I am in Muse 2014.3. When I edit a page, in the preview everything looks fine, but when I upload it to FTP, the page does not change, even when I upload the whole site. Is this a bug? I don't know what to do.

Are you sure about your FTP credentials (FTP folder and site URL) that you are using for the upload? Are you able to see the updated files in the remote directory of the FTP server, after you finish uploading the muse file, using an external FTP client like FileZilla?

When using Final Cut Express, the video in the Viewer window looks fine, but when I insert the video into the Canvas Timeline it appears to lose resolution, and look fuzzy and blurry. Are there preferences or settings for the Timeline that cause this?
Thanks David. I had to convert the mts file to Quick Time (using AunSoft Conversion software) before I could import it into Final Cut Express. And I made sure I kept the size of movie (720 X 480 with letterbox) to compliment what I set my Panaconic AVCCAM video recorder at (720/60). Even after I fully render it, it still looks fuzzy in the Canvas window at the right that plays what I have editing down in the Timeline. A friend that edits some using Final Cut Pro helped me to narrow things down to this problem. This is also wierd. If my Viewer window at the left is set to 200% to get the person's head the same size in the Canvas window at the right we needed to put it to 400%. Does this make any sense. We think we need to control the Time line resolution somehow but cannot find any options from my manual, or the help, or in the various drop down menus. Do you have any clue? What is going on?

Don't see changes in Live View until after 30 second delay
Running Dreamweaver CS5.5 on Mac OS X 10.7.5
Running Locally using MAMP
Site is configured to run on a local PHP/MySQL server, and consists of a single index.php file with nothing more than an html header (I don't even have any PHP in there yet).
When I use Dreamweaver to make a change in my index.php file (such as changing the text in the header), I save it, and then go to Live View or Web Browser Preview. In both cases, it takes over 30 seconds before I see my changes in Live View or Browser Preview.
To get a better idea of my workflow:
1) My indiex.php file header reads "This is a test"... and it's correct in both Live View and Browser Preview.
2) I change the header to be "Hello World".
3) Select "Save" from the File menu.
4) Click the "Live View" button.
5) Live view still reads "This is a test"
6) Open Browser Preview, also still reads "This is a test"
7) I spam the refresh button in both Live View and Web Preview, no change, still reads "This is a test".
8) After about 30 seconds of hitting the refresh button, the change finally is visible in Live View and Web Preview, reading "Hello World".
Anyone seen anything similar? Any ideas why I'm getting such a long delay before seeing my changes? Any suggestions to fix it (besides restarting my mac?Thanks for the input!
Restarting the computer was the obvious first thing to try, but had no effect.
I have over 2GB free memory and still experiencing the issue.
It does take a few seconds to load the Live View for the first time, but that's not my problem. My problem is that with Live View already loaded, it takes over 30 seconds after saving changes to the php file before I can see the changes in the Live View (I'm clicking the refresh button once a second, and on the thirty something time I'll finally see my changes).
With "Preview Using Temporary Files" turned off, I get the behavior I've been describing.
Turning "Preview Using Temporary Files" on does actually mitigate the issue for me, though, so thank you for that suggestion!
- I can see changes in my Live View instantly after saving and clicking the refresh button.
- I can see changes using Preview in Browser instantly too... but the browsers refresh button has no effect (which makes sense since the temporary file it's looking at hasn't changed).
- I can actually get some work done now.
However, I still feel that I should be able see my changes in Live View immediately after saving and clicking the refresh button without using "Preview Using Temporary Files", and I'd like to be able to leave the page open in my browser and just click the browser's refresh button to see my recently saved changes instantly.
So Long Story Short:
Using "Preview Using Temporary Files" has definitely helped!
But I still have no way to see my changes immediately without using temporary files, so something still seems fishy. -
I have an iphone synced to my iTunes account. But I need to add another used/existing iphone to my account to update it. I do not want to sync my emails/contacts/apps, etc. from my computer/iTunes to this new iPhone. This 2nd iPhone already has existing apps and is in use.
Is there any way that I can do this without changing anything on the existing iPhone? All I need to do is update it to the iOS 5.0.1.

It wasn't my phone, hence the reason we didn't want to share/take each other's content (apps, contacts, music, photos, etc.). But the owner's phone hadn't been able to update because of a computer crash/no access to a stable computer. So, I just wasn't sure if we could do an update without sharing content.

When I try it myself my whole gradient turns black.To add to the above, you can not just set the angle. If you want to use other existing settings you need to get them from the layer. The code in that other thread shows one way to get them.
But if you do not need the existing values for any other reason you can get the descriptor for the layer, make a duplicate of it with all the settings and just overwrite the ones you want to change.
This is one way to just change the angle while keeping the other existing settings.

In this cases everything looks fine, but no ring tone is there and after sometimes the phone informs me that no connection can be estabilished (its a German phone, therefore I am not sure about the message in English systems). A workaround is to stop the telephone app in the multitasking bar (double click on home button, hold the app symbol pressed for some seconds, close app). Next several call work after this.
I am not sure if an incomming call would work in this mode...

The value of the Channel Strip volume etc is not stored within the C Strip setting, as you have discovered.
If you really wanted, you could add a Gain plug to the strip, with it set to give the correct output level with the Fader set to 0

When I print a Word for Mac document to a shared printer (that is connected to my iMac) from my Macbook Pro, print preview looks fine but the printed page has too much blank space at the top and doesn't print the bottom few lines. I have tried to adjust the margins and the page setup settings but to no avail. It used to print fine until recently. Is there a way to fix it so that the printer prints what print preview shows?
I should add that when I e-mail this document to myself and print it directky from the iMac, it prints fine.

My MacBook Pro will not connect to my home wifi but will connect everywhere else. My other Apple devices (I-pad, I-touch, another MacBook Pro) connect to the router without problems. It was working fine but all of a sudden stopped working.Thanks!
try this.
get back into your router's settings and start deleting devices that are not connected to your router.
you can also delete the ones that are connected - they'll connect again.
on the DHCP side of it, increase the amount of users that can connect/log in to your router.
see if that sorts it out for you.

ASk in the DW firum and be much more specific. Web page rendering issues are specific to specific versions of browsers and you may simply be using some bad code that messes up your page.
