WLS 6.0 Service pack1

I am trying to install the WLS 6.0 service pack 1 using the the upgrade (wls60sp1_upgrade_win.exe or wls60sp1_upgrade_generic.zip) on a Windows NT 4.0 SP6. After the installer prompts me for the location (Use current or create new) and I press next to continue the install, I get an Error dialog box:WebLogic Server 6.0 not found:WebLogic Server Service Pack 1 Installation failed.You do not seem to have WebLogic 6.0 installed for BEAHOME C:\bea.It is installed at C:\bea\wlserver6.0. I have an environment variable name BEA_HOME set to C:\bea. I tried setting a variable BEAHOME to the same place. It still can't seem to find it.How do I install the service pack with the update?

Anyone resolve this? I have the same problem as well on Win 2000 sp 1.

Just thought I'd post this problem and solution in case others came across it.
I installed WLS 6.1 and then the Service Pack 1 separately. The Service Pack
1 install clears out registry.xml.
I then tried to install WLI V2.1 and it would not let me install as it could not
find WLS 6.1 SP1 the definition of which it gets from registry.xml. The error
was WLS 6.1 SP1 not detected.
To get around this I got sent a registry.xml and edited it to be my home machine.
(Not the safest thing to do but it worked!).
I think if you download WLS 6.1 and SP1 and install as one rather than separately
this does not happen.

I believe using LDAPv2 with that release of Commerce Server is not supported.

AFIK, Restore Points doesn’t exist in Windows 2008.
Volume Shadow Copy option can be used to achieve:
Creating consistent backups of open files and applications
Creating shadow copies for shared folders
Creating transportable shadow copies using a hardware provider — for backup, testing and data mining scenarios
Quickly recovering and restoring files and data
It is more like a file, data, application backup.

Database Connection problem in WLS 7.0 Service Pack 7

I am a newbie in this forum. Currently, I tested running application using WLS 7.0 Service Pack 7 in Development environment. First thing, most of BEA's forums are terrible as people rarely reply. I noticed your post through google searching for the same fix. You have likely done the same things as me and have learned that your Oracle JDBC Client driver has some bugs interacting with certain version of Oracle Server. For us, this problem occured when we migrated from Solaris to AIX. We were able to fix this by downloading the latest version of ojdbc14.zip from oracle's site. You can either replace the current ojdbc14 file in the bea installation or make sure it is visible in the classpath for WLS before the old version.

Is is possible to install X64 windows server 2008 R2 on Virtual machine 2007 Service pack1?

I am trying to install window server 2008R2 X64 on virtual machine 2007 service pack 1. But unable to proceed. while refering various forum,
It is listed that from service pack1 we can install windows 7 & window server 2008 std edition. But nowhere it listed that window server 2008R2 is supported or not.
Can one let me know if it fisible to install window server 2008R2 X64 on virtual pc 2007 or any work around.

ITunes and Vista Service Pack1

Service Pack1 for Vista was downloaded this morning. Cannot get itunes to recognize my iPod. Receive error message "Cannot connect ti Itunes error (0xE8000001). Any suggestions

I also installed SP1 this morning. My 1st Gen iPod nano is recognized just fine, but iTunes isn't playing audio. I select a file from my library, click the Play button, it changes to the Pause button, but the file doesn't play. The progress indicator never moves.
I've tried various files, both M4P and MP3 formats. Same result.
MP3s play in WMP just fine.

How can I set weblogic's classpath, if Weblogic 6.1 is running as a service on Windows 2000? I know if it is run from startWebLogic.cmd, we can change the classpath in startWebLogic.cmd.

You are getting the above error while R3trans -d because the required environment variables are not set properly. Are you using user <sid>adm to execute the command?
ERROR => SncInit(): Missing profile paramter "snc/identity/as" N [sncxxpar0614]
you have enabled SNC but not all profile parameters are properly set. This will prevent system to start.
you have to set this properly.

I want apply service pack 1with CU3 on particularly SSAS on my server why bcoz on we already applied on database engine after few day we installed the SSAS on my server so now i want to update the SSAS on this server ...is it possible ?
when i am trying to apply the service pack on SQL server 2012 SSAS .. i get error message like :There are no error SQL Server instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer in SQL server2012

In your case, you first need to install SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1. It is Cumulative Update 3 for Service Pack 1 of SQL 2012. You can refer to the following link to download it. After that, try to install CU3.

how we can update the windows server 2008 r2 to windows server 2008 r2 service pack 1
with consideration that I already have active directory in this server
i don't find any documentation for updating windows server 2008 R2 to windows server 2008 r2 service pack 1

Problem with running contract manager under WLS as windows service

I am having a problem running Contract Manager V13 as a windows service. I am using weblogic 10gR3 app server running under Windows 2008 sp2 (32 bit). The system functions just fine if run as an application from the command line. When I use the Oracle install contract manager as admin server (using jrockit) script from Oracle support, the service installs OK, but when starting I get:
+"The contract-mgr-svc-jrockit service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."+
Has anyone run into this problem of windows services not working? If so how did you fix it?
How are others starting contract manager automatically under Weblogic server, without having to do a manual startup?
I am dealing with this disclaimer from Oracle:
Disclaimer: Contract Management has not been officially tested with WebLogic as a Windows service. If experiencing a problem under this configuration that cannot be reproduced, while running as an application, the solution be to run Contract Management as an application.
and have been working with Oracle support for 2-3 weeks now on this problem without any luck.
Is the situation with using Windows services better if I use JBoss application server? Does Oracle officially support Windows service running with JBoss?

What account is the service running under? It may be that the service does not have access to the folders it needs, or does not have the right java CLASSPATH set.
Can you try running the service under the exact same account that successfully runs via the command line?

Since you have installed Service Pack 1 for Windows Server 2008 R2, please refer to the KB below:
Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
