WLS 6.0 Tru64 Unix eval ... broken zip ?

Hi bea,
could it be possible that the WLS 6.0 eval zip is broken ?
Apart from D:\weblogic\... within the path settings the whole directory
structure seems to be screwed. Could not see a common structure to all
other versions.
WLS version 5.1 for Unix does not have a valid license - ended around
March 8 - glad I have a very limited license because of my IDE.
Time to fix a few things ;) ...
Jens
BTW: This 6.0 zip contains "BEA WEBLOGIC SERVER 6.0 BETA" a lot ;)

Hi.
Try posting your question on the plugin newsgroup -
weblogic.developer.interest.plugin
Thanks,
Michael

The below URL documentation says "We have included new versions of the plug-in

mod_wl_ssl_v51.so but evaluation copy of WLS 6.0 doesn't have those files, only
has mod_wl_40F.so mod_wl_50.so mod_wl_51.so. How can I get the new versions of
the plug-in binaries???

  • Download for Compaq Tru64 unix

    Hello,
I am trying to install WLS6.1 on Compaq Tru64 unix. I have downloaded the
installable from the BEA website. The downloaded file is
"weblogic610sp3_generic.zip" and the site mentions that this is WLS 6.1
download with SP3. But it seems like this file contains only the SP3 files.
Where can I get the download for WLS6.1 for Compaq Tru64 unix?

Thanks. I got this impression because usually the SP releases come as zip
files while the WLS installables for unix systems come as bin files. I could
install using the zip file successfully.

What gives you the impression that it is just the SP3 files in there?
The SP3 file has a different name. For example, on Windows it is
wls61sp3_upgrade_win.exe. I hope you are not unzipping it.
Just try to install it. If you're stuck, open a case and I'll look forit!

  • OAS 4.0.8.1 on Compaq Tru64 UNIX 4.0F (Digital Unix 4.0F) : Help !!!

My installation of OAS 4.0.8.1 on Digital Unix
4.0F is failing when it comes to try to
    relink something called ntcontab.o
, an apparently missing header file :
    cc: Severe: /usr/include/sys/types.h, line 77:
Cannot find file <standards.h> specified in #include directive.
(I did find the header file on the system but in a different place.
I tried a link to make it
appear where it should but that didn't work for
    some reason)
My release notes specify 4.0D is required,
maybe thats the problem, though I wouldn't
expect a whole header file to be moved between
    minor releases.
Any help very gratefully recieved. I am really
    stuck.
    Thanks

BTW - I'm new to Digital Unix, previously
worked on Solaris. My subjective impression is Digital
Unix is alot less well supported and prevalent
than Solaris, and my feeling is we would
    be more secure on Solaris.
Is this at all a valid point of view ? I'd
be very happy to be wrong about this !

    Hi Peter,
I believe that functionality was broken in the field test version of coordinate systems that shipped in 8.1.6 only for transforming data stored in the SDO_POINT type. I'm not sure, but I doubt this will be patched on tru64 unix.
If you need to get this working you might want to try storing your point data using the elem_info_array and the ordinate array rather than the optimized point type.
This problem is fixed in 8.1.7.
    Hope this helps,

  • Install Oracle 8.1.7 (TRU64 UNIX 5.1)

Need information on how to initate the istallation of Oracle
Software on TRU64 UNIX 5.1. Prior to 8.1.7, the "orainst" shell

what I can tell, the new installation routine requires X-windows
to run, but I cannot figure out how to set it up.
Thank you in advance for any help on this subject.

  • Does Oracle 8.1.5 Run On Tru64 Unix 5.1

Does Oracle 8.1.7 Run On Tru64 Unix 5.1
We plan to upgrade the OS and Oracle in two steps.
    1. First weekend - upgrade the operating system from Tru64 4.0d to Tru64 5.1.
    2. Second weekend - upgrade Oracle from 8.1.5 to 8.1.7
    Questions:
    1. Will Oracle 8.1.5 run successfully on Tru64 5.1 during the one-week transition period?
    2. Does it make any difference if we upgrade the OS to Tru64 5.1a instead of 5.1?

A question along the same lines, does Oracle 7.3.4 run On Tru64 Unix 5.1?
We plan to upgrade the OS and Oracle in two steps.
    1. Firstly - upgrade the operating system from Tru64 4.0F to Tru64 5.1 (via 5.0A).
    2. Secondly - upgrade Oracle from 7.3.4 to 8.1.7 or perhaps 9.x
    Questions:
    1. Will Oracle 7.3.4 run successfully on Tru64 5.1 during the transition period?
    2. Does it make any difference if we upgrade the OS to Tru64 5.1A instead of 5.1?

If possible, get the code and tune the sqls.

  • Problems with Tru64 UNIX 5.1b PCI-GPIB driver development

I am using your NI488.DDK product to develop a PCI-GPIB device driver for Tru64 UNIX 5.1b3. I have experience porting other device driver from 4.x to 5.1b and thought that this would not be too hard.  The driver that I have developed loads and configures ok.  It allows for the IBFIND of /dev/gpib0 minor #255 to work fine because a bus table is built for it during the probe/attach. When I try an IBFIND on /dev/gpib_dev/dev1 I get an error from ni_Cp2BusPtr for minor #51 because no table is created for the devx devices during driver initialization. I don't see where this was done in the example ib.c code provided for Tru64 Unix 4.x,  am I missing something?

This is really an update to my original posting for those of you who may have similar concerns.
The source code provided as part of the NI488DDK kit is not really a fully functional driver with the same capabilities as they provided in the device driver that they devloped for Tru64 UNIX 3.x and 4.x.  The the "ib" commands supported by the DDK driver is a subset of the entire ni488 suite.  None of the device specific "ib" command are supported, neither is ibask.  Device commands are written to the bus as character strings that contain device addresses and command.

  • Is there Tux 7.1 for Compaq Tru64 Unix 5.1 version

    Help!
please tell me if there is Tux 7.1 for Compaq Tru64 Unix 5.1 version.
send it to my email: mailto:[email protected]
    Thanks.

I encountered matching problem while trying to use Tuxedo 6.5 from the
original installation package. The best match for Compaq Tru64 UNIX 5.1
from the available platforms on the cd was "Digital Unix 4.0d on DEC
    Alpha".
However the simpapp failed to shut down, just like Yshyang has written
below. After contacting BEA support, the support personnel asked if a
patch has been applied (check if a $TUXDIR/udataobj/patchlev file
    exists). It didn't.
The Tuxedo 6.x platform data sheet at
    http://www.bea.com/products/tuxedo/platforms_6.shtml
shows that Tru64 UNIX 5.1 is supported, if Tru64 UNIX 4.0b binaries with
    patch level 160+ are used.
We got a separate patch for the 4.0b binaries, but working Tuxedo 6.5
installation binaries for Tru64 UNIX 5.0 are available for download at
    BEA web site.

  • 9iAS on Compaq Tru64 Unix

    Hi all,
I plan to install 9i Application Server Enterprise Edition on Compaq Tru64 Unix
    running v5.0a.
This will mean that the Unix Sever will
act as a Database Server,Web server,
    Forms and Reports Server.
The Developer Server will be on Windows NT
which will be used to compile forms an reports and transferred to Unix.

    Dont know 100% for sure.
But i think, you have to recompile your
Forms & Reports Application on your UNIX server.
Its not portable through platforms as Java.
But correct me if i'm wrong.
Also just one remark to avoid confusion:
There is no Database Server included in
    9i Application Server EE
