I just downloaded Adobe and when I go online to create a PDF it tells me that it doesn't work with Mac Pages. What can I do?

Adobe is a company not a program. Are you talking about Adobe Reader? Adobe Acrobat? How are you trying to create pdf files online? If you are using acrobat.com, please use the forum for that service. If using the CreatePDFOnline website then use the forum for that service.

Does 'versions' work with microsoft word, ppt and excel or just pages, keynote and numbers? I tried to do what the videos say but the little icon for versions is not there on word. Microsoft office 2008 and later work fine on Lion. Office 2004 is a PowerPC application. PPC apps are no longer supported and Lion does not include Rosetta, which was required to run them on OS X. I imagine the Epson / Canon software you are trying to use is the same. Check with them to see if updates are available.

Safari won't work with CNN Pipeline and other sites all of a sudden? A few weeks ago Safari was working OK but now I often have to use Firefox to visit certain webpages.
Anyone else having this same problem?
Is there a quick fix?

I have WMP version 9, as well. I do not use F4M, for many users f4mac is what helps.
I find some items work while others do not. I always get an alert about the wmp , which version it is, takes very long to load, I find it is not consistant with Safari, as seems the poster of this topic has found.

though 41 errors is not as poor as some, Firefox handles the site better than Safari, imo.
Some sites just work better with Firefox or an other browser.

I would like to update to Firefox 5.0.1, but I can't due to, too many things won't work with the version & will be disabled.

NET Framework Assistant 1.2.1, Iconix 3.90.1, HP Detect 1.0.5.1, Yahoo! Toolbar 2.3.5.201101200332202 (I don't care about Yahoo! Toolbar, because I don't use it!). Gosh I am already tired of trying to retrieve this photo album and it seems like a waste of time and money spent on an apple IMac.
No disrespect intended but until you learn how iPhoto and Macs work you will continue to be confused and frustrated.
You say you want to create a book in iPhoto and have it printed by Apple, right. Have you finished creating the book in iPhoto? If so the Control (right) - click in the View all pages window background and select Save Book as PDF in the contextual menu?
Open the the PDF file with Preview and check for any errors or problems. If there are none you can order the book by clicking oin the Buy Book button at the bottom. Save the pdf file to compare with the printed book when it arrives in you feel there's a problem with it. That's all you need to do. There's no use of the Finder required.

I am afraid I have reverted to Snow Leopard as I was having one problem after another with Lion and for every problem I was solving, two new ones cropped up. I won't bore you with a long list, but one example is whenever I clicked on a single saved document to view, Microsoft Word would open not only that particular document, but also half a dozen other ones as well. Also, my Canon printer did not operate properly nor would Aol. With a lot of other weird stuff happening every day, the final straw was when my Time Capsule wouldn't backup properly, but just 'hang' indefinitely.
Luckily, I have two HD disks on my iMac and I had installed Lion on HD2 while still retaining Snow Leopard on HD1. I also made a Lion installation disk for future installation when all these software bugs have been sorted.
I am back to normal service with Snow Leopard and shall not return to Lion until at least the next upgrade/patch becomes available. I so looked forward to Lion as well, but I was fighting a losing battle.
I would suggest anyone who is in my position trying to stem the tidalwave of software problems with Lion, make an installation disk for Lion and go back to SL until the next upgrade.

this has been an issue with Quicken for a long time! Quicken was initially a Mac only application and then they got greedy! i beta-tested Quicken for Intuit for years and when they announced they were not going to support it any more the screaming was loud but not heard!
Quicken Essentials is a crime! i wasn't even asked to beta-test it; probably because they would have gotten an earful!!! it is not essential; it is stupid.... AND, of course, their online version was a disaster. i use Quickbooks Online for business and it works like a charm; i mean it even downloads ignominious PayPal transactions now!
i am also stupid for not really checking out if it would work with Lion - ALL of my financials are on it. I am going to have to do what @cwiens suggested above and either pull out an old Macbook I have or my well stored original Cube in its original box! thank the fates for the double backup i've always done with Quicken - Time Machine & its own key drive!
btw, this is an old Microsoft trick - not having older versions of apps work on OS updates so they force you to buy the new versions.

MY system is Windows XP, SP3, laptop, running FF 9.0.1. When trying to update to FF 10.0.2 I got a msg that the McAfee ScriptScan 14.4.1 addon won't work with FF 10.0.2 and will be disabled. Shall I go ahead and install the FF update? Would it be a security risk either way? Which one is worse?

I don't know what ScriptScanner does, but I think it's always a good idea to update Firefox to eliminate known vulnerabilities, particularly if it's your main browser. Problem identified and solved. The new Expression Web 4 Super Preview softward had not been properly activated. Now it is and everything is working very well. Thank You for having this useful means of working out a solution. I'll be using it in the future.

Should be extremely simple, please carefully read Connect multiple displays to your Mac. If you still have problems then it's probably a cable issue that would be resolved by replacing the adapter cable. You should be using this adapter. If you are using a third party adapter that might be your problem!

No. If your MacBook has an Intel processor you can update to OSX 10.6.8 and then install the latest iTunes.
A 5G iPod with iOS 7 requires that if you have a Mac you have OSX 10.6.8 or later.
