Word not working properly after W7 upgrade

Word is acting exactly like it did on my old machine before I purchased my new PC three months ago....I use Office 2003.....the Thesaurus won't work, when I click Page Setup it says Not Responding for some time before it finally pops up the Page Setup box, and other things like that where it says not responding. I am getting frustrated. I bought a new computer and ever since the W7 upgrade, I've only had problems. The printer in QB won't work, and other annoying things. Everything takes longer than it used too....just opening My docs and clicking on a folder takes too long, etc.
Forgot to mention that now my Syncback back up won't work and when the computer goes to sleep, I have to click my mouse and enter button about 20 times before the monitor will show anything and then it says I entered the wrong PW for my login.
Outlook gives me problems too -- not opening sometimes, etc.

Have you tried a battery pull? If the issue is still there, you can either take it to the store or downgrade your software to the previous version to troubleshoot.

Calendar not working properly after software upgrade

Today I upgraded my touch software to version 4.1 (8B117). Since this upgrade, the calendar doesn't work properly. Before the upgrade this is the scenario: I would go into my Calendar (synced with my gmail calendar) in "List" view. There was always a brief pause where the calendar would refresh. The screen would go white for a second and the "List" view would reappear. After the upgrade, I see the same refresh but the screen stays white. It won't display my calendar in "List" view anymore... unless I click on either "Day" or "Month" view and then back to "List". Anyone else experiencing this? I don't know if the upgrade is the reason but that's the only thing that changed today so I'm very suspicious.

Dates are added at random, so are times, i.e. a item in outlook 2010 is set for 09.00am on the 16 dec 2010.
the date will come up as 14.35pm 20 dec 2010 on the ipod. This also occurs with repeated items, weekly, monthly and annual. as a % its about 5/15% of all appointments but they are the ones that matter most.
Things I have tried to resolve this include the following,
I have reset the ipod with factory settings, I have deleted All dates in outlook then synced to ensure all dates have been deleted, I have also tried the above and then reflashed the update before re syncing them.,
Selected replace items on next sync button in itunes 10.1.0.54
put repeating dates in and they have All been date changed and hours changed at random. BUT not changed in outlook on re-syncing. I know that the database is fine as I have also synced with an Android phone and a Win Mobile 6.5 phone and the dates Have correctly entered in both devices.
Some of the dates have changed by as much as 9 days, the hours by minutes up to 16/17 hours.
Ipod details, 32Gb at present 24Gb free so not a space issue...
The ipod touch has been updated with 4.2.1 (8C148) Running itunes 10.1.0.54
settings in ipod are for location london, in general and also im mail.
(factory reset not upgraded and also tried on 2 computers running win7 pro 1 x32bit 1x64bit)

ITunes not working properly after Firefox upgrade. What is corrective measure?

iTunes "store" indicates error #42403. It does not load. However, radio does work. This seemed to happen after I upgraded Firefox.

Here's an update:
1. The fan problem had to do with WindowsXP (new installation and/or drivers). The fan would simply not obey the Battery Optimized Cooling Method, and would work at full throttle all the time. Since i could not pinpoint the problem, i decided to use Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation to create an exact copy of my old configuration and HD contents, re-installed that, and that resolved the fan problem.
2. Concerning the new 80GB 5400rpm 16mb hard disk, well, it is very noisy compared to the original Fujitsu HD the laptop had. I decided to return it next day, and got a Hitachi Travelstar 80GN instead (80GB 4200 rpm 8mb) which is very quiet, just like the Fujitsu 40GB one.

My airdrop in my macbook pro cannot anymore detect any apple devices around me (my itouch and my iphone) after I upgraded to yosemite. If you have any suggestions on what to do, I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Well that is the way it is until they fix it. old mac versions can send you files but you cant send files to old versions. airdrop is normal for yosemite to yosemite though
EDIT: I do suggest you email files instead. or get file upload websites where you send a private link and whoever you give the link to can download it

MS Word not working properly after Acrobat install

I installed Acrobat XI Pro a few days ago. Now when I open MS Word I get a constantly running "wait" icon. I can use the program minimally, but it is extremely sluggish. I tried disabling the Acrobat Addin - no difference. I tried repairing my Word program - no difference. I tried printing to Adobe PDF printer (which worked fine) and surprise, the constantly running wait icon disappeared and Word worked normally. But the next time I opened Word the problem returned. I tried removing Adobe PDF printer from my list of printers - no difference. I then went back to the original Acrobat installation. I can now use Word in a limited way if I select the Adobe PDF printer first, but my regular Canon printing program isn't functioning properly. Help please!!! (I'm using Office 2007.)

ICal not working properly after ML upgrade

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, all of my iCal events are GONE! It also is having sync issues.

Can you provide more detailed information? I am also having a problem, here's the error message I'm getting:
The server is currently unreachable or the connection was blocked.
I have deleted the account and added it back in but I still the error.
I'm running ML 10.8.2

Calendar not working properly after OS4 upgrade to 2nd Gen iTouch 32gb

Since I upgraded to OS4 (which took forever to restore BTW), when ever I enter the calendar app... it takes between 30-60 seconds fro the calendar to populate with my events.
This was almost instantaneous in the 3.1.3 OS.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Or should I just factory default my iTouch and re-reload everything (that will be a nightmare)?

Hi kerryp24. You are not the only one with that problem. I upgrade mi iPod to iOS4 and now, when I open the Calendar it show me the info for about 2 seconds, then cleans all them for 10 seconds, and finally reloads the info...
I hope Apple solve that problem with the next update... or may be we have to downgrade to 3.1.3? Because this it the second trouble, counting the bad battery life since the iOS update. Can Apple confirm that?

are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

Aluminum Wireless Keyboard not working properly after Firmware update 1.1

Hi,
Well, as the subject says, my keyboard is not working properly after I updated the firmware. The problem is that several keys (delete, down arrow, brackets and apostrophe) stopped working right after I installed the update. I never dropped it or hit it. And I did not stop or interrupt or did anything during the install. I take very good care of it.
I have already tried toubleshooting with the support page, restarting the iMac, taking off the batteries, setting it up with bluetooth again, going back a week with time machine and to reinstall the firmware. So, if you have something new for me to try, I will really apreciate it.

I have 24" iMac with the Apple wireless M&KB - I know this is basic but have you tried a fresh set of batteries? My KB will refuse to establish connection when batteries are on the weak side the firmware update may just be a co incidents. If your wireless mouse is working OK then I would guess the blue tooth is functioning.
Not sure about the 10.49 download - are your other file downloads completing properly? Are there any error messages?

iTunes is not working properly after the newest update... It dosen't see my iPhone, the program acts very sluggish, and has trouble loading the Store. Anyone have a solution or an explanation? I have tried the suggestions found in other threads ie. restart, re-download, charge phone, restart phone and so on. Nothing works. Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Similar complains around the web. I'd recommend getting the phone flashed at a care point to see if that improves the situation.
Do wait for a couple of weeks for the full firmware files to be available at the respective care centers. AFAIK, they are not yet available in India.

Plug and play speakers not working properly after upgrading to Windows 8.1

After upgrading to Windows 8.1, my plug and play speakers do not work properly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled them, and restarted. When I try to play music, nothing comes out. If I turn them off and back on, music will play for approximately 30 seconds, only from one speaker, then it turns off and fades to no sound. They worked fine until I upgraded to Windows 8.1. The manufacturer has not been able to successfully assist me. Has anyone else reported a similar issue after upgrading OS software? Any suggestions? These are fairly new speakers, less than 2 years old, and not used very much. I do have them installed via a K-V switch, and all other devices linked to the K-V switch are functioning properly (monitor and wireless keyboard). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
