Work field in operation tab pages of maintenance order.

Hi,experts,
i need to enter work time in operation tab pages of maintenance order followed by two decimal digit like 2.55 mint or 2.65 H.System is not allowing to enter two or more than this decimal digits,it is allowing upto only one decimal digit like 1.5 H,2.3 min etc.How can I enter value like 2.56 min.Client is not accepting to enter after converting the unit.this is required for one of my specific scen.please suggest how I will enter 2.55 min or 2.55 H etc.thanks in advance.

As standard the field is set to 1 decimal place.
You cannot change this value without modifying your system (not recommended)
I think you can enter more decimal places in the confirmation documents e.g. IW41

Not as standard.. and its the same with the used-fields which should be displayed on the Operation tab table (it is in the task list..)
I don't know why SAP haven't sorted these out...
Open an OSS Message to SAP - the more requests they get, the more chance there is of them fixing it in the future
What we have done a few times in the past is to utilise the Header Enhancement tab (user-exit IWO10018) to add a table control to show these fields. Its not elegant, but it works

Adding field in Additional Tab page in CRMD_order

hi all,
i want to add a field in the additional tab page in crmd_order Tcode,
i did it by modifing the screen the strucutures are filled ex CRMT_SALES_BADI,
CRMT_SALES_COM
in the CRMC_MAP Tcode i have seen the field is added .
wat are the further steps do i need to do to get saved and poped in the field value when reterive.

As standard the field is set to 1 decimal place.
You cannot change this value without modifying your system (not recommended)
I think you can enter more decimal places in the confirmation documents e.g. IW41

Incident/Accident Log - Create description field in new tab page

Dear all,
I have a question about Incident/Accident Log.
In the Incident/Accident Log, a new tab page and fields inside it can be created using class and characteristics, respectively. The characteristic value field is limited to 30 characters length by the system.
Is there any way a field for comments (say, of 100 characters minimum length) can be created in the tab page.

Hi Mohan,
I don't think there is any standard way to increase characteristic value field. However, you may want to consider a workaround. You may create a 'Multivalue' characteristic with 30 characters length. This gives you an option of entering multiple lines of 30 characters. The problem with this is... SAP automatically sorts the values.
For example,
if you enter
THIS IS A MULTIVALUE
CHARACTERISTIC WITH 30
CHARACTERS IN LENGTH. I NEED
TO ENTER COMMENTS THAT ARE
MORE THAN 30 CHARACTERS.
(Please note that I am putting the word in next line if it cannot be accomodated fully in the current line. That means, some lines may contain less than 30 characters.)
SAP Shows it as,
CHARACTERISTIC WITH 30
CHARACTERS IN LENGTH. I NEED
MORE THAN 30 CHARACTERS.
THIS IS A MULTIVALUE

Operation details of a Maintenance Order.

Hi Gurus,
I am looking for a link to pick up the Operation number along with Operation description and the details of components required using tables. I will have the input as a number of Maintenance Orders and I want the system to bring out the details given below using the data tables. This will be for a report to print out the pick list for a number of Maintenance Order together. The same way as you can print the pick list for an individual Maintenance Order. I want the system to compile the pick list of a number of Maintenance orders and allow the users to print it. As far as i am aware I do not think it is possible to print the pick list of a number of maintenance orders together.
1. Maintenance Order.
2. Maintenance Order type.
3. Maintenance Order description.
4. Operation number.
5. Operation description.
6. Plant.
7. Storage Location.
8. Work Center.
9. Reservation Number.
10. Reservation Date (when required).
11. Material.
12. Material Description.
13. Quantity Required.
Any help with the logic to get all these details will be much appreciated the input for the report will be Scheduled start date, Scheduled Finish date, Order types, Order numbers.

Equipment number u2013 Apply AUFNR value in AFIH table & get EQUNR values. Only for the found out AUFNR values, further report should be developed. Consider corresponding EQUNR values.
Maintenance Order Description u2013 Apply AUFNR value in the table AUFK field KTEXT and display in the report (For the MTD period Calculated)
Order type u2013 Apply AUFNR value in AUFNR field in table AUFK & get AUART value.
Operation / Activity u2013 The transaction has to read the field AUFPL in
the table AFKO. Selection criterion is the order number (Field AUFNR table AUFK).
The content of field AUFPL has to be used afterwards as selection criterion in the table AFVC. The selection field in this table is again AUFPL and display the field LTXA1.
Planning Plant u2013 The entry must be checked against table EQUI and field
EQUNR and against ITOB and field IWERK and display the value from table T001W
Fields WERKS & NAME1
Reservation - You can get from RESB table
Material Number - From RESB table
Work center - Apply EQUNR value in AFIH table to get GEWRK. Apply that value in OBJID in CRHD table to get ARBPL value.
I guess, you can't link operation & material in single report. As one operation may have multiple materials, just define the logic before finalising the format.

Info Update Indicator Tick in 'Material' Tab page of Purchase Order.

Is it possible to do customization so that Tick will not appear as a Default Value?

Hi,
If you dont maintain Purchase Info Record for a Particular Material, System will automatically create one Purchase Info Record in Background with Vendor and Price Detail only.
For this,in OMFI the Purchase order Update Indicator should be B and in Po item Detail tab Info Update Indicator will be Checked. If you want you can change the PIR which was created in background.
The Configuration settings for Autoupdate Inforecord is in OMFI trxn code.
Go to OMFI and in Info record update tab keep Blank value agianst purchase order and save.
From next time when you create Po you can see the item detail tab for Inforecord update is unchecked.
Define default values for buyers
Transaction OMFI
Double click on the default values you want to change.
Save it.
Next, you've got to associate via SU01
Click Parameters, insert a new parameter id EVO to the authorization code.
Type in Parameters value you want e.g. 01
You have to assign the control for ALL the SAP buyers via thier SAP users id.
Logoff and login again. Then try to create a Purchase Order and check the default values.
In the Fast Processing button :-
you can choose whether to adopt automatically all the line items fields in the Purchaes Requisitions.

Restrict use of tab Components in Maintenance Order

I'd like to know if is there a configuration to restrict the use of modification Maintenance Order (IW32) to only the "Components" Tab? Otherwise, how can I implement this?

we need an field exit or an user exit for order(AUFNR)field in PM module.
The Client wants that the value of this field should be validated and for certaion condition an error message should be given while saving an invoice for this order.

Implement Field Exit within program
For this example I am using dta element 'EBELN' from table EKKO.
Step 1: Execute program 'RSMODPRF', entering the data element of the field
Step 2:Create function module when prompted, and add you code to the source section using the parameter 'INPUT' as the field value you are checking
Step 3:      Save and activate Function and execute transaction 'CMOD'.
Step 4:      Choose option: Goto-> Text Enhancements->Data elements->New DE cust docu.

Step 6:      Save and activate

You can also change the code you entered in the field exit function module by pressing the 'Edit FM' button.

Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to make an individual field within an OM infotype mandatory e.g. the employee group and the employee subgroup on IT1013 on the Working Schedule tab within PPOME?
I don't seem to be able to track down the module pool.

Hi,
I think, you can use the screen control to make a field mandatory.
This is found in Tcode PM01-> GOTO-> Screen Control.
You will have to maintain the infotype feature to call the alternate screen with your screen modifications.
Details in SAP Help under Developing an Infotype in Personnel Administration -> Infotype Screen -> Control

Hi Narendra,
This can be done with help of your ABAP team. There is no standard authorization object to do so.
Take help of your ABAP team. create one customized authorization object Z_COSTTAB having field as planner group and plant.
user BADI IF_EX_IWO1_ORDER_BADI - Authorization Check for PM/CS Order.
With this badi check add check for auth object which you have created. Assign this auth object to ur required user role.
This will solve your problem.

Work/duration in the operation tab of PM order

Dear all,
Why earliest finish - earliest start is not equal to duration but equal work in the operation tab?
The work is the total number of hours for the operation. The duration is the hours per person.
work = duration * number
If the work is done by two Electricians together ,I think it should be equal to duration.
If the work is done by two Electricians one by one ,I think it should be equal to work.

Does it relate to the work center formulas which is filled in the scheduling tab if work center? ...

Table control View in Maintenance order Services tab

Hi Experts,
I am trying to change the table control fields of the services tab of the maintenance order , when we use PM03 control key to generate services PR.
I try to remove some check box which are earlier defined as invisible to make it visible. However after saving the system variant system doesnt take the changes. It is coming back to the original .
Here are couple of fields I would like to change the setting. As of now I am trying to change the below mentioned field to visible . Presently it is in invisible mode.

Form values: ESLL-FRMVAL1 to ESLL-FRMVAL5 and
User field3: ESLL-USERF1_TXT

3) Select the field and do the necessary change to make visible or invisible.

The IMG customizing will have greater priority than the screen table controls (also specific program logic can supersede the table controls). Check the customizing for service screen at following path:

Transfer of header work center to operations

Hello PM experts
I came across the SAP note 336644;
Scenario: When you include a general maintenance task list ,you want to transfer the work centre from the header of a maintenance order to the operations.However the system uses the work centre from the operations of the general tak list as a default. The fix is only applicable up to 4.6c and we are running ECC6 ehp5. Does anyone know if this function was implemented with the later versions of SAP.

Tab pages

Hi,
I've 3 radio buttons(A,B,C) in the form and 3 tab canvases(tab1, tab2, tab3) with 3 tab pages each.. When user select radio button A, then tab1 canvas displays(with corresponding tab pages) and when user select B radio button then tab2(with corresponding tab pages) displays and so on.. one of the requirement is if there is no data then disable those tab pages. I was facing one issue when i was trying to disable the tab pages. if there is no data for all tabe pages for a particular tab canvas then it says -> FRM-41389: Cannot set ENABLED attribute of last enterable tab page. Is there anyway to achieve this? or any advise? or different solution pls? the requirement is to disable the tab pages if no data, i need to achieve this.

Presumably one page has to be enabled in each tab set. So make sure the topmost page is left enabled and disable the others. Alternatively you could disable the blocks/fields on the tab pages instead.

Forms Personalizations- Tab Page Change

Hello all,
Is there a way to use Forms Personaizations to activate a specific TAB page in a block in Forms (EBS 11i10 or 12)? Sometimes a block spans across multiple tab pages and even the focus is on a specific field, the corresponding tab page does not open.
Please let me know if you have any ideas on how to accomplsish this. If there is a different forum for Forms Personalizations, please let me know so I can repost the question there.
