Workbench pattern feature - Other Pattern

does anybody know how to create a specific pattern to be used with the "Pattern" feature in abap workbench?

1.se38>change>Utilities -> More Utilities -> Edit Pattern -> Create Pattern
2.Enter the name of the pattern and press enter
3.After enterting your pattern and press SAVE
4.For apply this pattern in your program, press Pattern -> Other patterns
and enter your pattern name.

Hi, I have been dragging jpeg files into i-movie all week without issue. Now all of a sudden, the selection of jpegs I'm dragging is repeating certain photos and not featuring others, making the entire sequence impossible to view.
Please help, this is urgent for a funeral tomorrow! It didnt happen with any of the other family tributes, they all worked fine.

It worked! Thank you! I finally just finished about 20 minutes ago! It took over 26 hours to complete the process you described, but I stuck with it and it worked. I am glad I didn't give up or "forget it" as some might have suggested. That would have set me back until tomorrow!
Ultimately, it turned out there were 45,910 jpgs created. No wonder it took so many hours to render/display them all. It ended up being about 10 hours before it seemed they were all rendered but the process between them displaying and being able to start really deleting them took a few hours because partly I was asleep and also partly it took forever to do anything. Any action as simple as selecting and right-clicking to Get Info, or emptying the trash, would take 20-30 minutes, a couple times longer. The clock stopped many times for 20-30 minutes at a time, a few times over 30 minutes, before catching back up. My cursor never froze which is what really kept me going, although it was a spinning beach ball for most of the time. I was never so relieved to see my regular cursor as opposed to seeing a spinning beach ball as I was early this morning after about 10 hours!
Once I was able to open a Finder window and select all 45,900 files (I had already deleted 10 in the previous couple hours during experimenting of trying to figure out what would work best), then right-click and select to move all the files to the trash, the process of moving them to the trash took 4.5 hours. Then deleting them from the trash took a couple minutes. There were 21.4 GB!!! No wonder the whole process took 26 hours!

Artists "featuring" other artists

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible in itunes to specify when an artist features another artist. If i write "X ft. Z" in the "artist" gap it gets stored as a whole new file/group and therefore complicates searches. How is this done? thanks

I take the featuring artist out of the Artist field and put it at the end of the song title.
Smooth - Santana Featuring Rob Thomas
becomes
Smooth featuring Rob Thomas - Santana
Also, if it's a Compilation album, tick Compilation and it will be filed under Artist -> Compilation.

ICloud features other products offer

Is there an option to have a folder in iCloud Drive I can share with my family similar to what can be done with Dropbox? We keep some family reference documents in a shared folder that we can each update and access from our devices or remotely and it is a very useful Dropbox feature.
Another Q - I would like to keep my Macbook backed up to the cloud too. I realise Time Machine does not do this and iCloud has not been designed as a primary back-up medium but is there a way to achieve this as it also seems like a useful feature that other cloud storage providers offer.

iCloud Drive is for syncing all your devices and to keep your documents synced across all your devices. It is not a separate cloud storage.

Purchase Requsition not shown in ASCP Workbench

Hi All,
We created an approved purchase requisition from ASCP one month back with three line items.This requisition is shown in ASCP workbench for 2 lines items as a supply but it is not showing as a supply in workbench for the other 1 item.Are there any item level setups to be checked???

Check the whether that item is planning enabled. Org Items -> General Planning/ MRP Planning

Save As PDF from Workbench

I am using LiveCycle Workbench and wonder if there is a way to save an XDP straight out of Workbench as a PDF on a local drive? Currently, I have to drag the XDP locally, open in local LiveCycle Designer and then Save As PDF.

Not really. You always have to have to use a service to "render" the XDP into a PDF. In the case of Designer it has this service embedded into it. If you use workbench, you would have to build an orchestration and use renderPDFForm to create a PDF from your XDP and save it to the file system. Once that's done, if could be as easy as invoking the service and just pass the name of the xdp from the repository to be converted and saved to the file system.
Remember that you can also open the XDP in Designer within Workbench.

MS SQLServer7 and Oracle Migration Workbench

I want to have Oracle schema name=MS SQLServer7 database name when I migrate MS SQL Server 7 database using
Oracle Migration WorkBench ( v. 1.3.1.0.0 ).
Then I tried to migrate NORTHWIND database from MS SQLServer7 Oracle Migration WorkBench have created user SA
and tablespace NORTHWIND in the destination Oracle database
By default MS SQL Server database names are mapped to the Oracle tablespaces, but there is an option 'Tablespace discoverer' to change destination tablespace.
But I do not see an Oracle Migration WorkBench option to make Oracle schema name=MS SQLServer7 database name.
Only ways I see :
1) to use 'Generate Migration Scripts' option
in menu 'Action' and edit the scripts manually
( I do not like it, unless you cannot suggest script to automate
this task )
2) Rename Oracle user ( user='SA' in my example ) to
'NORTHWIND' after migration , but how to do it ( ALTER USER) ?

Another alternative is to alter the MS SQLServer7 database owner to NORTHWIND using
sp_changedbowner (T-SQL)

Workbench problem when interface extends interface

Hi,
I have a problem when importing an existing class into Toplink Workbench. This class has a getter/setter on a property, say getAccountType() where AccountType is an interface. This property is not persistent, only a string representation of its value stored in a private field. So as far as Toplink is concerned, the interface AccountType is not persistent.
When I try to import, I get an ExternalClassNotFoundException. We found that the interface AccountType extends another interface and this seems to be the problem. If we remove the inheritance, the import goes fine.
I don't know if this is related, but AccountType is in my project and the super-interface is in a dependency jar file (this jar file is specified in workbench's CLASSPATH).

Unfortunately in 9.0.4, the error message you are receiving is not very helpful or accurate. My guess is that something the super-interface is referencing is not on your classpath and that is why you are getting the exception. In 10.1.3 this will not be a problem because we have changed how we load classes. Your super-interface would not actually be loaded in to the workbench.

Adobe Reader - Windows 8 - Read Out Loud Feature

I have been trying to access the Read Out Loud feature in the most recent version of Adobe Reader for Windows. Making it for Windows 8 has lost most of the useful things about Adobe Reader. Is there a version of Adobe that in in a window with menus and features other than show page, navigate, and save?
Currently I have to email PDFs to an email associated with a Macbook that I have access to, and listen to the PDF on the Mac.

I get an 'Invalid Image Type' error when using the Locate Features. (Evaluation version)

I'm using the Evaluation Version of Vision Builder. I Simulate Acquisition using my own image (jpg), which loads fine. However, when I try to use any of the Inspection Steps features, other than Enhance Images, I get an "Invalid Image Type" error.

Vision Builder functions usually work with a certain image type. For example, all the functions listed under Binary (in the menubar) will only work with binary images. Likewise, color functions will work for color images and grayscale will work for grayscale images.
You can convert a color image into a grayscale by extracting a color plane and a grayscale image can be converted to binary using the threshold function.

Test external webservice from any ABAP transaction or ABAP workbench

Hi,
Is there any option/way from ABAP workbench (or any other SAP tCode) to test an external webservice.
Basically i used to use tools like XMLSPY or SoapUI to check any external webserivice e.g. http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL
with this i could get confirmation that the webservice provider is indeed up and working.
these tools allowed me to create a request soap message (request payload) and send it to the endpoint, and showed the response soap message.
This kind of testing i would like to do from SAP ABAP workbench or any sap tCode.
what is the easiest way to test quickly.

I am not sure if this is appropriate in this area, but I am also curious about what other features other customers are interested in, here are a few of ours:
Email Adapter to have the ability to strip off an attachment to an email that is sent to a tidal email box and save to a network path (with variables) and the ability to save as a different file name
Email Adapter to have the ability to delete / archive emails (to automate email maintenance)
Email Adapter to have the ability to use variables (global, group) on scan for text in message/subject
Tidal FTP MGET function, remove the directory listings prior to MGET (built into code) it will bomb out on FTP repositories with large amout of files
Calendar offset to be able to exceed 31 days
Calendar object be able to offset incremental days so that you could make a calendar "every 80 days" exactly
Ability to group Resource (like an agent list, for easier view)
Ability to group Variables (like an agent list, for easier view)

Whenever you create a new development a workbench request is created and you can transport this to any other client with Transport manager.
These are related to the Development tasks
Workbench requests contain changes to client-independent tables.
generally Cross-Client changes & Higher level changes.
2. Customizing Request:
These related to the system configuration done by functional team.
Customizing requests contain changes to client-dependent tables.
these are mainly Client specific request (e.g. new Sales Document type) & are at Lower level as compared to Workbench requests.
