Workcenter Vs SAP WebClient

Hi,
We are trying to configure the incident management in solution manager 7.1, as we know in 7.0 we use the work center whereas in 7.1 it gets replaced by SAP WebClient. In 7.1 workcenter we used have "Reported by me","For processing by me","Processing by my team"..lists. Do we have anything similar in SAP Webclinet for the IM?
Regards,
Support Team

Hi,
I think work centers are still available in the Solution Manager 7.1. Only when jumping into an incident, the control goes to a CRMWebClient type screen. So the  usual options in the work center should be available.
Check http://www.saptour.ch/landingpagesfr/Manager/uploads/13/L01.pdf Slide 28.
Also http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman would be helpful for config and overview.

  • IC WebClient profile assigment problem

I have a problem with the webclient profile assignment to my end users.  I don't have that problem.  When I try to assign the webclient profile to my end user through the org and their position, the new profile never display once the users logon into CRM.  It's just display a standard SAP webclient "default" profile.  I did everything I can the same as mine, but it did not work for my users.  Is there any othe way to assign this customized web client profile to my users except assign them through their position in the org.  I check and they are correctly integrated in the org with the employee role, and their user id are populated in CRM correctly.  I also check the CRMM_IC_APDISPLAY, and it indicates the correct customizing profile like mine, only when they launch CRM_IC, the profile did not reflect with the conrrect entry in CRMM_IC_APDISPLAY.  Please help because all the customization is done, and my user can't use them.  Thank you in advance and will rewards points.

You can try going to transaction SU01 to see that their roles and profiles are setup correctly. If they don't have the correct access there, they won't be seeing anything.
Other than that, you said you checked to ensure that they were properly set up in the business partner, meaning that in the Identification tab they have their user id is properly selected under the Employee Data box. Then from there, you want to make sure that they are properly assigned to the right position, in the right cell of the structure (transaction PPOMA_CRM).
The last thing I would check to see is if the correct IC WebClient Profile is selected for the cell. You can do this by going to transaction PPOMW and selecting the cell you need to look at. From there, select Goto ->Detail Object ->Enhanced Object Description. From there, if you select the line for IC WebClient Profile there should be a green check right next to it. If not, you'll have to create one for the cell. Do that by clicking the Create Infotype button and then selecting the correct IC WebClient Profile and saving.
If all of these things are set up properly, your user should be able to see the customized version of your webclient.
    Hope that helps...

  • Why call between WebClient agents fails?

    Hi,
I have just recently installed the mySAP CRM 4.0 IC WebClient (CRM40 SP00).
I have been testing the installation with CCS (Contact Center Simulator) and for a basic CCS supported tests (Inbound Phone call, Outbound Phone call, Chat) everything seems to be ok, but a call between WebClient agents fails due to an java error. The Phone Call between WebClients which should work according the CCS webpage.
What should I do to get WebClient agents to call each others? Any configuration or customization tips? Note that I do not have CC integration in place, just the IC WebClients.
Here is the test done in details and the error reported by WebClient:
    0) I restarted SAP CRM to be sure no pending sessions exists
    1) Open the CCS to see that no agents are logged in with WebClient
    2) Login as java_ic with WebClient
    3) CCS shows java_ic Workmode (=status) as 'Not Ready'
    4) Switch java_ic to ready by from the WebClient
    5) CCS shows java_ic Workmode (=status) as 'Ready'
Then I do the same for agent 'sap*' with another MSIE browser window. At this point, the CCS shows Workmode for both agents as 'Ready' and I have two WebClient browsers opened. I also verify that both has Phone selected from the channel selector in the WebClient.
    6) With java_ic agent, I press the Dial Pad, enter the sap* agent phone
number (Phone: +15550002; shown in the CCS for both agents logged in) and then I press the Dial button on Dial Pad to call to +15550002.
6.1) After pressing the Dial button, the WebClient displays a pop-up in
the middle of the screen with info: "Your request is being processed." After this there is an Info message under the buttons in the WebClient for java_ic saying: "No account information found".
    7) Java_ic WebClient shows that it's doing an outbound call and is 'Dialing' state.
    8) sap* WebClient window has blinking button with labels 'Accept' and 'Reject'. So, it clearly got an notification of the Inbound Phone call coming from java_ic. But there is also an error message under the buttons in the same WebClient webbrowser screen (not in the JavaConsole, not in separate alert message this time) for sap*:
    "Java error: type= APPLICATION ERROR, ID= GETIAD_FAILED, description=".
    9) With sap* WebClient I cannot answer or reject the call. Nothing happens. The browser Status Bar says: javascript:void(0) when I press the Accept button.
    10) At this situation, the CCS shows that the agents's sap* Workmode is
switched from the previous 'Ready' state to 'Not Ready' automatically (while the sap* WebClient status is still in Ready). So, the sap* automatically, due to the error, changed the status to 'Not Ready'.
    11) java_ic remain on 'Dialing' status for all the time trying to get connected with sap*.
I got informed that the call between WebClient COULD BE seen as a "call transfer" between clients by the CRM system. This might be something to do with the problem in calling between WebClients.
Because the java_ic reports: "No account information found" when placing the Outbound Phone call, one could assume that account details should be passed along with the call transfer. Possibly sap* cannot receive the
inbound phone call due to a missing account information thus reporting java error: "Java error: type= APPLICATION ERROR, ID= GETIAD_FAILED, description=".

  • What CRM Webclient UI is

Hello, can anybody say what CRM Webclient UI is. I only use SAP Gui and frankly I'am tired of it.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
SAP Webclient UI is aimed at providing a Web like User experience to Business Users. This user interface is easy to use, stable and enables users to process their business tasks efficiently.
You would find ample of information about the Webclient UI on SDN. Try searching for e.g. refer these [link1|SAP CRM WebClient UI Cookbook] [link2|CRM Webclient UI].
    Hope this helps!

  • Wrong email count for BI Alert

    Hi,
We've recently configured BI monitoring for our BI landscape in our solution manager system 7.1 SPS10.
Dashboard reports correct data however count of emails is usually wrong and so is the number of alerts in the alert inbox.
For example for one failed chain we get 2-3 emails, and if duration exceeds we again get 2-3 emails for one issue.
    Anyone else faced/facing this issue?
    Regards,
    Abhishek

    Hi Vikram,
    Thanks for your reply.
However the issue that I raised is about BI Monitoring functionality in Solution Manager.
Dashboard for that is from below path from SPS10 onwards.
Tech Mon --> Job and BI Monitoring -> BI Monitoring Scenarios -> Choose scenario -> BW Process Chain Monitor.
One of the available guides for this is from below link.

  • What should be considered a basic question here?

Hey folks I want some feedback on why type of questions we should consider basic in this forum?  I have noticed in the last several weeks the questions here appear to be easily answered from wiki articles or the new book on the SAP Webclient programming.
Instead of me however throwing down the moderator axe, I want the community to decide the type of questions that should be locked or moved to a "basic questions" forum.
Given that the CRM Webclient is now a relatively mature product and the available materials to learn have increased, this should be fair request.
In order to ensure that you respond I'm going to give my thoughts on what should not be allowed
    - Any topic covered in detail in the CRM wiki page here unless you need a clarification is subject for lock
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/CRMWebClientUIFramework
    or
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/CustomerRelationshipManagement
Especially questions on how to add a new field, EEWB, AET, or dropdown boxes
    - Any topic asking for definition of terms is subject for a lock(i.e something that can be answered via help.sap.com)
    - If has already been answered before, then I would propose the following:
    1) Post the link in the thread
    2) OP responds whether that solved the issue
    3) Thread is locked from further discussion and awarding (to avoid rward hunting)
Based on your feedback my goal is to implement the "stricter moderation" post Teched Las Vegas or around October 1st, 2011.  I would expect further changes to moderation style as SCN moves to a new platform and moderator tools are improved.
    Take care,

    Stephen,
Basically queries like "How To xyz" which are already there on the WiKi should be moved to Basic Questions. These are the queries which are being raised by Consultants who are either new TO CRM or new to SDN or both.
    1. How to enhance a Web UI COmponent
    2. How to create a Drop Down
    3. How to create a F4 Help
    4. How to modify the Search Criteria.

    12. How to create a BOL
    13. How to create a Pop Up View
    14. How to get values from Pop up view to the calling View.
I guess these are few basic queries which are being asked N number of times and has been answered twice as many a times.

  • Resubmit tasks - please help!

    Hi All,
I want to add a functionality to resubmit a task in SAP webclient.
For example: One task was assigned to an employee. The employee still has 2 weeks time to do this task. Therefore he will choose "resubmit" 4 days before. And the task will be shown 10 days later (4 days before submition date).
    How can I realize that?
    I wanted to start customizing:
I thought I can solve it by changing the status profile in SPRO. I copied a user status and defined it to a new transaction "ZAppointment". Then I defined 5 own user status just to check how they work and how I can change the settings.
I added the following SAP user status:
    5) MIRA - Release automatically
    6) MIRI - Resubmission of behalf (The german word for it is wiedervorlage)
    7) MIRM - Release manually
    8) MIRS - Start Resubmission
It is very strange: If I create a new ZAppointment I can only choose the 4 standard status. The new status are not visible and therefore I cannot set the appointment to a resubmission status..... But I also cannot find any information about those MIR* status settings in the SAP documentation or in the Internet! Even the F1 help does not show any information.... Does anyone know how to solve this SAP secret?
    Thank you very much
    Regards
    Marcel

    Stephen,
When a program is not working properly, the first step (in my view) is to make sure that your basic system software is functioning properly. You'll run into many less problems if you do some regular maintenance on your system software - repair permissions, run disk utility and/or TechTool Pro/Disk Warrior, clean your caches with something like Tiger Cache Cleaner, etc. Once you are sure that your system software doesn't have any problems, you can start looking at what the problem is with specific programs, such as iMovieHD.
How large is your hard drive? How much free space do you have on it?

  • SAP CRM 7.0 Webclient - Product Identification (IBase or IObject)

    Dear SAP IC-Experts ,
I am new in the configuration of the SAP Interaction Center (SAP CRM 7.0) and have a process orientated question.
In my proyect the company is producing bathroom products which are installed in hotels, private homes, etc.. They sell their products via partner so they in most cases dont know where there products are installed until the end-user calls when they have a service problem. In the Interaction Center I have seen the Account and Product-identification Workcenter Page.
    1. My first question is do I have to use IBase or IObjects to save the proyects in the Database? If I understood correctly IObjects can only be used if I have a serial-number for example which are used for cars or laptops to be able to uniquely identifie a product. As Bathroom products does not have this this kind of identification number to identify a single object I have to use IBase right? Additionaly I the company sells for example 30 times a shower cabine to a hotel I can not use IObject too because there is installed 30 times the same product in different floors and hotel rooms. This leads me to the conclusion that we have to use IBase which leads my directly to the second question
    2. When using IObjects there is a Create-Button to create a new IOBject but this create button does not exists for a IBase in the View. When the end-user is calling me can I create in a very short time the installed base (IBase)? I hope I could make myself clear?
Basically I need to know if using IBase or IObjects for bathroom products and if using IBase how can I create it quickly as an IC Agent when the client is calling?
    Best Regards
    Oliver

    Hello Oliver,
Yes, you are correct. The IObject (individual object) is intended primarily for consumer-facing scenarios involving serialized registered products. For a B2B scenario where a company has a footprint of installed products (whether it be HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, faucets, etc.) it is probably preferrably to use the Installed Base object to model the installation.
As you noticed, there is no native possibility to directly create new Installed Base hierachies from inside the Interaction Center directly (though there is an option for IObjects). The rationale here is that while a contact center agent would often register a new consumer product, they probably would not usually create new Installed Base hierarchies; rather this is something that, like creation of service contracts for example, is typically done by a Service Professional using the ServicePro role. However, you can always add a link to your IC menu to launch the ServicePro screen for IBase maintenance/creation in order to allow the agent to create or maintain the IBase hierarchy. A little cumbersom of course, but definitely a possible workaround.
    Warm regards,
    John

  • How to find the webclient in SAP MDM server

How to find the webclient in SAP MDM server
    Thanks In Advance
    GuruvaReddy

    Hi Guruva,
If you are talking about MDM APIs, then you will get them from Service place when you download the complete MDM 5.5 Suite. You need to choose the API which is appropriate to you. MDM comes with 2 different APIs - Java API and COM API as of SP1(The news is.. ABAP API is under development).
Pre-requisite for building applications using Java APIs is basic Java skills.

  • Call ITS SAP R3 from CRM WebClient using parameter NOHEADEROKCODE=1

    Good day,
I need some help with an issue.
We want to hide the command field in the SAP GUI for HTML using parameter ~noHeaderOkCode.
But we want to hide it only when we access the R3 transactions from the CRM WebClient, not in the rest of uses of R3 ITS SAP GUI for HTML. The CRM WebClient launchs some transactions of SAP R3 inside its web, and we want users not to call another transactions there by using the command field.
I've been reading about alias and external alias, but not resolved our issue.
    I'll appreciate any help.
    Best regards,
    Martina

    Hi Martina,
one option might be to create a ZWEBGUI service for your CRM WebClient. i.e A copy of the WEBGUI service with the parameter  ~NOHEADEROKCODE1 set in its parameters section.
You could also then restrict  access to the NEW service to your CRM Users.
    See the WIKI:

  • How to Call SAP ECC transactions into CRM IC Webclient Profile Screen

    Dear all,
We are implementing IC Webclient application for our Clientu2019s call center operations.
All sales related activities are being created in back end SAP ECC system like, starting from Quotation to Sales Order, Deliveries and Billing.
Client wants to see all relevant ECC reports of Sales transactions in IC Webclient Screen.
Connectivity between SAP CRM and ECC has already been established and we did all basic configuration for IC Webclient, but donu2019t know how to and where to call ECC transaction in IC Webclient Screen.
I am looking for suggestions from any of you to handle this requirement successfully. I would be grateful if you send me any documentation which addresses this requirement.
Your suggestions and help will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Raghu ram.

    Hi,
Step-by-step process for the same is as follows:
    1. Create a launch transaction to launch the relevant BOR object at the following
    IMG->CRM->IC WebClient->Basic Functions->Transaction launcher -> Configure Transaction Launcher (Wizard).
This wizard is very useful and easy way to create a launch transaction and guides through each step and generates a handler class for you.
    2. This transaction now has to be incorporated in the Navigation bar. For this you have to create navigation bar entry and navigation bar profile.
IMG-> CRM-> IC WebClient->Basic Functions -> Define Navigation Bar Profiles
Here you have to first Define Entries where you would input Launch transaction ID created in step 1 and then Define the Navigation Bar Profile.
    3. Assign the Navigation bar profile to IC WebClient profile.
Please note that you can you Transaction launcher for incorporating any web links, PCUI Transactions, CRM Transactions, ERP transactions etc.

    Deepak
