Workflow Deployment Wizard - in OWB

I am working with Oracle Warehouse Builder, and I can generate all my project and I can also register my jobs in OEM by OWB.
Now I'm trying to run the "Workflow Deployment Wizard", in order to schedue my jobs into Workflow.
I need to do that, and I've already installed the "Oracle Workflow Server" in the same machine where the Oracle9iAS is located (SUN).
The infrastructure database is located in another SUN machine.
In order to install Oracle Workflow Server in Oracle9iAS, I followed the instructions to install InterConnect, that has embeded the Workflow.
In the workflow login, I connect with the user "owf_mgr" and I follow
clicking next untill the end. In the last window, "Finish", I keep selected the box "Do you want to deploy Workflow Process into Oracle Enterprise Manager?" and click "Finish".
So, only the first 3 jobs are created into OEM, the "Item Type". Afther that, the following error message appears:
WKF0012: Oracle Enterprise Manager job registration failed:
WKF0013: Oracle Enterprise Manager job registration failed.
Verify that the Oracle Management Server is running and that the
Oracle Enterprise Manager Directory parameter in the warehouse module is configured correctly.
Does anyone have any idea of what's happening here? I'd very glad if you could help me.
Thanks in advance
P.S.:
- My OEM is installed on a SUN machine and its version is 9.2.0.1.0.
- I have another SUN machine with Oracle9iAS. My Oracle Workflow Server is installed in a SUN Machine, together with Oracle9iAS (Application Server)
- I have a thirth SUN machine, with Oracle Infrastructure.
- My OWB Cliente is 9.0.2.62.3, in a Windows 2000 machine.

    Hi Siva,
Please "run as Administrator" on the workflow configuration wizard, see if it could work.
If above doesn't work, please check workflow management log for troubleshooting.

  • When deploy: Wizard error a connection to the deployment share could not be made "check physical connection"

    Hello everybody,
yet another issue with deploying a masterdisk. I will give you a short explanation of the situation.
I need to deploy Windows 8.1 PRO x86.
Using: Microsoft Deployment Workbench Microsoft Version: 6.2.5019.0
    1. Reference PC: Windows 8.1 PRO x86 is installed on ORACLE Virtual Box.
    2.  I installed  MDT on my workstation Windows 7 x64, where "C:\DeploymentShare\Windows8" is located.
    3. To change the Unattended.xml file, I have second ORACLE Virtual Box with
Windows 8.1 PRO x86 with MDT, which connected to the DeploymentShare of Windows 7 x64.
     - The reason is because the Reference PC is x86 and the Unattended.xml file can be changed only if MDT is installed on x86 Windows, otherwise it is not possible.
    The image capture is successful.
Then I create bootable USB device using rufus-1.4.12.exe. I use: C:\DeploymentShare\Windows8\Boot\LiteTouchPE_x86.iso
I use a real PC (not virtual machine) and when the deployment starts
    I see:
1 Welcome screen, where I select: Run the deployment wizard to  install a new operating system.
    2. The next screen is an error screen where I see the error:
    "Wizard error
A connection to the deployment share (\\ComputerName\C\DeployemntShare )could not be made
DHCP Lease was not obtained for any Networking devices!
    Possible cause: Check physical connection
I am relatively new with MDT.
Any suggestions are more than welcome.

    Nick,
    Thank you for the answer!
Yesterday, I figured out that I need to create an offline bootable disk.
The issue is caused, because creating a bootable disk with rufus.exe include only the ISO file and not the WIM file. That is the reason why during OS installation process it asks me for the shared folder...

  • Issue when trying to deploy Monitoring Server Reports on Deployment Wizard

    Hi all.
I have to install the Monitoring Server Role on a server that already has the Lync Server 2010 up and running.
I'm new to Lync Server so my experience with the product is limited, so I need some help with an issue.
I followed the Deployment Guide and for now I managed to do the following:
    - Installed an SQL Server 2008 Standard with SP1 with SSRS also;
    - Updated the Topology to include a Monitoring Server, and also published the new topology;
    - Installed the new components of the monitoring server.
I can also refer that the SQL Server Instances and Lync Server Front-End are in the same server h where I'm installing the monitoring server, and there is only one Front End Pool.
As far as I can tell everything was successfully done, and I couldn't find any errors until now.
And finally the issue appeared when I wanted to deploy the Monitoring Server Reports to the Reporting Services Server.
In the deployment Wizard of the Lync Server 2010 the link for that option is disabled, no further information is given.
I tried to find on the ISO and .exe or .msi files that could deploy the reports, but could not find any.
I believe it isn't a problem of permissions of the user because i followed the documentation.
I hope someone can help me find the problem, and if possible a solution for it.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
From your description above, it is a Lync Server 2010 Enterprise Edition and you deploy Monitoring Server in the same Server with FE Server.
If it is the case, you may meet unknown issues as you must deploy Monitoring Server on a separate Server. You can only collocate Monitoring Server with Archiving Server.
Please try to delete the Monitoring Server configuration in Lync Topology and then republish topology, and rerun Step 2. After these, please deploy Monitoring Server with a Separate Server and test if the issue happen again.

  • SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services Deployment Wizard broken after SP1

I have installed SQL Server 2012 SP1, now I cannot edit Data Source Connection Strings anymore in the Deployment Wizard.
When clicking the button labeled "..." I get an error "Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Data.ConnectionUI, Version=8.0.0.0' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference".
This happened on two different 2008 R2 servers and local windows 7 desktop, SP1 Cumulative Update 1 does not fix the error.
    Please help!

I managed to fix it by modifying the Workaround from Microsoft a bit.
    Microsoft Fix: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2809127/
    Summary of fix:
Open the following configuration file in a text editor, such as Notepad, as an administrator:

    2. Insert the runtime XML tags after the </startup> tag in the configuration section:<configuration>

                  </dependentAssembly>
                    </assemblyBinding>
       </runtime>
    </configuration>
Instead of redirecting from version 8 and 9 to 10, i reverted it and made sure it uses version 8.

  • JDev 3.2 Deployment wizard failed to show public static methods in step #3.

JDeveloper 3.2 and 3.1 Deployment Wizard ( step #3) does not show any public static methods being deployed as Java stored procedures. The "settings" button is disabled.
Is this a demo version of the tool ?

It's probably easier to add them all and remove the ones you don't want. Admittedly this is a bit cumbersome, because the 3.2 navigator doesn't allow multiple selection..

  • Deployment Wizard ignores package tree

    Hi,
I've just started using JDev 3.0 and I've noticed some strange behaviour of the new deployment wizard.
If I specify a package tree to include, but NOT a library or an archive, the package tree is ignored.
I can only get the wizard to pay attention to my package tree if I specify something in the libraries tab and the archive tab.
    Is this working as designed?
Has this changed in JDev 3.1??
    Thanks,
    Lachlan

    Hi,
The behavior you are observing is as designed. The Advanced dialog in the deployment wizard is used to configure the dependency analyzer that runs when you are deploying your profile. In general, more specific settings override less specific settings. However, this rule can only be applied to classes that are on the dependency analyzer's classpath. The dependency analyzer's classpath is set through the Libraries and Archives panels,
and the settings on the remaining panels (Package Trees, Single Packages, and Classes) are applied as customizations to the classpath.
Because of this arrangement, specifying "included package trees" doesn't do anything, whether or not you have included any Libraries or Archives. What it is useful for is to override a less specific "excluded package trees" setting. So if you have excluded the package tree "javax" but you include the package tree "javax.accessibility", then only classes within the "javax.accessibility" tree will be included; all other classes in the "javax" tree are excluded. Of course, you would need the Swing classes to be on the dependency analyzer's classpath to begin with for this to apply.
Thus, if you try to include a package tree that isn't on the dependency analyzer's classpath, that package tree won't be included because it was not found. An error message is not printed because not finding a class during dependency analysis is interpreted to mean that the class was excluded; if there really was an error that would cause your class not to run, you should have gotten an error during compilation.

  • Deployment Wizard Not Allowing Certificate Update

    Hey, everyone!
I needed to add new SANs to our Lync Server SSL (ucupdate-r2 subdomain for Polycom CX700 with old firmware). I logged into our GoDaddy account and I requested the new SAN. I validated it through email and then downloaded the CRT file.
I then launched the Deployment Wizard and chose to rerun the "Request, Install or Assign Certificates." In Certificate Wizard, I select Import Certificate and select the new GoDaddy SSL. It imports just fine. Next, I select the Default Certificate
and then Assign. The new SSL doesn't appear in the list of available certs, though.
I don't know if the server is just confused since they're technically the same cert but with a couple extra SANs.
So I launched MMC and went looking for the newer version of the cert. It wasn't there, so I imported it into Personal > Certificates, which is where the previous certificate is located. It imported fine, except the new one doesn't have indicate that a
"private key corresponds to this certificate."
I still relaunched the Certificate Wizard from the Deployment Wizard, but the cert is again now listed.
I'm not sure what to try now.
    Could someone please help?
    Thanks!
    -Eric

  • Deployment Wizard Fails in 10g AS

Deployment Wizard fails in 10g AS when attempting to upload an .ear file. It throws the following error:
    ClassNotFoundException: ias.oc4j._deploywiz._selectAppDest
This error started when during the upload procedure I lost internet connectivity. It has happened consistently since then.
I have restarted the OC4J instances, the entire machine and even created a brand new instance of OC4J all to no avail. I can no longer deploy .ear files on an OC4J instance on the machine.
Should I just give up and reinstall the entire server?
    Thanks for your help!

368659, I am not sure what has happened to your 10g AS instance; can you check if you have the following file?
      <ORACLE_HOME>/sysman/webapps/emd/ias/oc4j/deployWiz/selectAppDest.uix
If you has not stuck to the installation yet, reinstallation might be a better idea as the installation will be a breeze except that it takes a few minutes.

  • Versioning, Deployment, Execution in OWB 9.2

For the warehouse created using OWB versions 9.0.3, my company used a versioning tool. All the PLS generated using OWB were moved to Source control system and from there deployed to Target Schema.
Now in 9.0.4 generated code contains location information that gets replaced by physical location only when code is deployed using OWB. So the old system of versioning and deployment doesnt work. We need to deploy using OWB only. In this case we loose all the versioning of mappings.
    Question 1 :
Will you please suggest a solution how can we do versioning of our code now ? Versioning is very important for us. In case it is not possible then can we go back to old system of deployment and execution by doing some manual workarounds.
    Question 2 :
Is it necessary to deploy thru OWB only because of Location factor. In that case if we design such that source and target tables are in the same then these mappings will not contain location information and we should be able to deploy them without using OWB ? What are the other disadvantages of using this approach.
    Question 3 :
When executing mapping using the template provided by OWB, we need to provide location name and execute it from Runtime Repository owner. I guess, When I deploy outside OWB I will not be able to use this method of execution. Default parameters and custome parameters of the mapping are stored in run time repository under the location name at the time of deployment . This information is accessed by the template to execute mapping. ( is it true ??)
We are not going to use multiple physical configuration for the same mapping, so if we deploy not using owb, can we execute directly in Target schema, without using template. How can we provide the input parameter to Main function in this case ?
    Question 4 :
Will we be able to get Audit information if we do not use OWB's recommended way of deployment and execution.
    Vibha

    Vibha,
    Question 1:
What you can do, is store the entire deployment script using the deploy to file option and version control that file. The format will be an ASCII-based XML file that versions exactly the same as you would version the files that OWB generated in previous releases.
Also, you may be interested in the version control you can do inside of OWB. That is, as of 9.0.4 we enable you to create snapshots of your design, which you could compare and restore at any point in the future. In 9.0.4, we provided a beta UI on top of this feature (scripting would be the other way to go), but in 9.2 we provide a production quality UI. To enable the UI in 9.0.4, close the product, locate preference.properties in <owb home>\owb\bin\admin and change the setting for MCMUIEnabled from false to true. Please do consider migrating to OWB92...
    Question 2:
The locations were also introduced to support multi deployment (e.g. development, test, production) with potentially different physical setups of the machines, but no design changes necessary. Also, execution uses the location concepts. Did you already read http://otn.oracle.com/products/warehouse/pdf/OWB_RuntimeChanges.pdf, which contains more information about the changes and why these are there?
    Question 3:
To execute directly from the database, I recommend you download http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/warehouse/files/run_my_owb_stuff.sql and use that as the basis for your execution. The entire architecture changed from 9.0.3 to 9.0.4... and the runtime platform now manages the execution. Via the script above you get a wrapper around the script that OWB provides out of the box (minimum version 9.0.4.10).
    Question 4:
The generated code contains all the calls to log the audits, so in principle yes. Having said that, if you do not deploy through OWB... it will be difficult to get the correct references that OWB will use during its logging to be resolved. I hope that with the explanation above you will be able to deploy and run inside the OWB context and make the entire environment work for you.
    Thanks,
    Mark.
