Workflow task on UWL does not open in new window

Hi,
Some of the workflow tasks in my UWL do not open up in a new window when i click on them. I notice that these tasks are not even hyperlinked (underlined). Instead, when i click on the line, a small pop up shows to options: Forward and Resubmit. Therefore i am not able to approve / reject these workitems.
Whereas there are some other work items which open up in a new window on click.
Is this problem related to workflow configuarion (perhaps enabling the WF for portal) or is it something to do with UWL configuration?
Appreciate your help.
thanks
zubair

Hi Paul,

    Hi
    I just want to report this bug in hope it will be fixed asap
    The wheel click button does not open a new window since the latest update (9.0.1)
    Thank you

    Middle-click or click the scroll-wheel on a hyperlink has always opened a '''new Tab'''. Any chance you had an add-on that changed that action, and now that add-on is disabled or incompatible?

  • PDF in Frame - Open Web Link does not open in new window

    I actually have 2 problems.
    1. Acrobat 7.0.9. Added a link to open a web page. When the pdf is viewed from within a frame on a web page, the web page link in the pdf does not open in a new window but replaces the pdf in the frame.
    2. If I download the pdf to my workstation and open it and click on the link, it does open in a new window BUT opens up 2 browser windows where the 2nd one opened is blank (yes, I am single clicking on the link)
    Issue 1 occurs in both IE 6, IE 7 and Firefox ?.??

    Try Ctrl-Y for preview.

  • Option/command does not open a new window from bookmarks

    I have an occasional problem: how come sometimes a bookmarked link in Safari does not open in a new window when I click option/command. or even shift/option/command. I have had and still have this issue over the last few iterations of OS X and Safari. Does not do it for all bookmarks just a few.

    OK. A couple of other things to try in that case.
    It may just be a corrupt preference file causing the issue, so quit Safari, trash this file and then restart Safari:
    Hard drive > Users > Your Username > Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist
    If that makes no difference, does it behave correctly when used from another user account on the same machine? If you don't have another account then use System Preferences > Accounts > \[+\] to create a temporary one for testing.

  • Create a hyperlink that does not open a new window if a window containing the url is already open?

    Is there a way to create a hyperlink to a url that "jumps to" the URL's window if it is already open in the browser?  Therefore a new window is not opened and the existing window containing the hyperlink would not change either.
    If the target url is not already open, then yes the link could either open in a new window or in its existing window.
    Does anyone know if there is a command/code for this?

    Ok, so to be clear, I should add all of the following:
    Header 1
    function getCookie(c_name) {
    if (document.cookie.length>0)   {
    c_start=document.cookie.indexOf(c_name + "=");
    if (c_start!=-1)     {
        c_start=c_start + c_name.length+1;
        c_end=document.cookie.indexOf(";",c_start);
        if (c_end==-1) c_end=document.cookie.length;
        return unescape(document.cookie.substring(c_start,c_end));
    return "";
    function wOpen () {
    var cookiename = getCookie ('winFlag');
    newWin = window.open("YOURPAGE.html","myWin'","height=200, width=200");
    newWin.blur();
        document.cookie = "winFlag=1";
    into 1 file?  And that is the file that links to the music page?
    I don't know if my Flash music page creates a cookie onto the user's browser.  That would be necessary for this to work, right?

  • Quick link does not open in new window

    Hi all
    I created an URL iView and assigned a quick link to it. The "launch in new New Window" property is set to
    "display in separate window".
    If i call the quick link url the iView is not shown in a separate window, but in the content area. Why?
    If I click in the portal on that iView, it opens in a new window.
    What am I missing here or is it a portal bug?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Command + T does not open a new window

    The title says it all. My gf's iMac doesn't open a new tab when using Command T. My MacBook Pro does. Our enabled Safari preferences are the same. Anyone know why this is?? Thanks in advance ~jeff

  • Having lots of problems with my firefox. It does not download when I click unless I restart the firefox many times. It does not open a new windows. Help please!

    2 problems:
    1. Files aren't downloaded when I click download. It only downloads after I restart the firefox many times.
    2. New windows aren't being opened.
    Help please. I've encountered the first problem since way back, but it wasn't this severe, now the downloading is very limited as I have to restart firefox many many times.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

    Some security software is also able to block new window.
    Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
    It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • HT2470 Clicking finder in the dock does not open a new window.

    I seem to be experiencing some odd behaviour.
    When I click the finder in the dock - no new finder window opens. The icon has an active glow but I cannot get it to launch.
    Any thoughts or am I just being daft?

    Ok I finally solved my problem too, this is the way I had done
    Delete the following folders and files
    DropboxHelperTools (Library Folder)
    Dropbox (Application)
    Dropbox (user)
    2. Delete deleted com.apple.finder.plist
    3. Delete .dropbox folder (Go to folder and then type ~/.dropbox)
    4. Empty trash
    5. Download and install DropBox from web again
    6. During the installation, a window will pop up and mention it can't find the link, and what we need is to relink.
    Bingo

    Hi,
    I understand that when you click on Edit this task in the message bar in InfoPath 2010, nothing happens. Does this happen when you open the email which contains the ‘Edit this task’ link?
    If so, you can try to check whether this key is in your regedit. If so, you can delete this key and have a test.:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
    Back up the regedit keys before making any changes. For more information about backup and restore the regedit, please refer to these sites:

  • Clicking the scroll wheel does not open a new firefox window

    I'm running Windows 7 x64 SP1. I use the scroll wheel to click items in the task bar to open another instance of those items. Eg I scroll-click a Firefox or Excel or Explorer or whatever item in the taskbar, and it opens another instance of that program. I use this feature to open a new instance of FireFox rather than switching to the FF window, then using control-n to open a new window.
    I just upgraded to FireFox 6 from FF4.x. Since doing so, scroll-clicking the FF item in the taskbar does not open a new FF window. It does, well, nothing.
    I installed FF6 on a clean Win7 x86 (RTM) build in a VM. When I use the scroll-click feature in the taskbar, it works as expected: it opens a new FF window.
    Things I have tried: A different mouse; updating video drivers (I doubted this would make a difference, but it needed to be done anyway, so I thought I'd mention it); running FF in safe mode (ie with all plugins etc disabled).
    I'm doing a little experimentation right now with respect to x86/x64, RTM/SP1, clean FF6/upgrade from 4.x and other differences that might highlight why it works as expected in my VM but not on my physical machine.
    I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this problem since upgrading to FF6.

    Respectfully, that answer isn't particularly helpful. I have already demonstrated that middle-clicking (mouse wheel click) will open a new instance of FF, and other programs. This was true before the upgrade from FF4 to FF6, and is true on all my VM builds (Windows 7 default install with nothing but FF installed).
    Nevertheless, I've tried shift-left-click, and it does not open a new instance. It will only open a new instance if I pin FF to the taskbar, which I have already stated I do not want to do. This new behaviour is unique to FF. Other applications (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, whatever) all behave as expected. It is only Firefox that is misbehaving, and it is only misbehaving since the upgrade.
    My issue is that FF has changed its behaviour with respect to middle-clicking since upgrading from 4 to 6. I'd welcome helpful comments about getting FF to behave.

  • When I click on the "new tab" button it does not open a new tab, how do I fix this?

    Left clicking or right clicking on the new tab button does not open a new tab. Common fixes have been unsuccessful. I don't know what's wrong. It's a recent problem, and even though I'm using an older version of Firefox this hasn't been a problem before.

    Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and the current version of Firefox.
