Working with Validation of Data

Hi. VC Experts.
                         I am currently working with VC 6.0. Where I am working with Validation of Data.
we have fields like Emp, Earea, Joining date (month & Year), Ending date((month & Year) etc.,
Here we have one push button 'select'.
                     Here what my client asks is unless and until, user fills all details then only
the submit but should be enabled. Otherwise submit button should be in disable mode.
I could be able to write formula for 'submit' button's properties( Disable) like this.

                 Here condition is always make sure that 'Joining date' should be greater than 'Ending date' . where it is working fine for all fields except Calender Year month(Joining date & Ending date).
                            the calender year month format is Example : """" May 2007""""
But it is considering only month But not year.
              Can you kindly provide your inputs.

NOTE:: in the formula i have used '<''>' which nothing but a lessthan symbol and greater than symbol without single quotes (i.e. not equal to)

and make sure you have placed the date picker UI controls for your date functionality.
this will not work for calender UI control on the form.
and othe important point is the joining date should be less than ending date then only the button will be enable..
if you want your joining date should be greater than ending date then write the formaula like this::
BOOL(IF(LEN(@Emp_code)<>0 AND LEN(@Earea)'<''>'0 AND LEN(@Edept)'<''>'0 AND DSUB(DVAL(@Joining_date), DVAL(@Ending_date),'D')>0 ,false,true))

You should install the drivers first before connecting your phone. Drivers are bundled in with pcsuite/ovi suite which can be downloaded from here.

Please put a cost object with valid JV data for GL accoutnt (line 001)

Dear All,
When the user is trying to post ASKBN, They are getting an error saying "Please put a cost object with valid JV data for GL accoutnt (line 001)"
So we tried to look up the error, and the WBS, Cost center, profit center and JVA details are all available in place. Still cant understand why this error comes. And why the system is asking to put JV details when they are available.
On checking, WBS has an AUC and AUC has the cost center which has the JV details and PC details. So I think everything is in place.
Can someone help please and let us know if we are missing anything else that needs to be checked ?

if something else in missung you'll get a error message if you run ASKBN in testmodus.

X-distr.chain status in combination with valid from date

Hello I am using MM02 X-distr.chain status in combination with valid from date, to give materials a certain status in the sales order depending on the delivery date of the orderline.
How can I enter multiple statuses with future validation dates?
example following status with validation dates where entered in MM02 for a material
- material should have status A valid from January
- material should have status B valid form April
- material should have status C valid from July
- material should have status D valid from September
When I enter a sales order with delivery date in January system replies with status C.
When I enter a sales order with delivery date in April system replies with status C .
When I enter a sales order with delivery date in July system replies with status C .
When I enter a sales order with delivery date in September system replies with status D.
So only the current ( or previous status when current is not valid yet) is retained by the system.
How could multiple statuses be used?

My customer sell season relevant materials so they want to control order entry and delivery creation based on predefined dates.
Status A = material is blocked for order entry and delivery creation
Status B = material is allowed for order entry, delivery creation is blocked
Status C = material is allowed for order entry and delivery creation.
Status D = material is blocked for order entry, delivery creation is allowed.
I had hoped to use standard functionality with this status field, it meets most of my customers requirements but at this moment the only alternative is to create a new table where this data can defined and create some abap logic in the user exit to set the status base on the table information.

Need Sample JPG Files with Valid XMP data

Greetings,
I Have downloaded and built the XADumper and would like to "dump" on a JPG file with some VALID XMP data.
However, I have no application to sutff the data and no sample file that I know has something readable.
Does anyone have some they could post?
Even better, anybody have something working to stuff some valid data that can be used to create files -- or better use as a further code example?

the XMP states (obviously):
dc:format = "image/jpeg"
xap:CreatorTool = "Adobe Photoshop CS3 Windows!"
According to the XMP it is a JPEG file. But your file is corrupted:
Each JPEG file has to start with a "Start of Image" tag, which is 0xFF, 0xD8.

AE 5.2 Approver Delegation working after valid to date

We have a user that set up an approver delegation with a valid to date of 06/03/2008 and as of 6/20/2008 it is still working.
Has anyone else seen this and know of a fix, besides deactivating the delegation.

Yes, this is a bug that SAP will address in SP 9 or 10, not sure.
Right now, you have to manually make the delegation inactive or delete it...

I could not identify that app in macupdate.com. If a Calendar program, what about iCal? did she try it and disliked? If you go to macupdate.com, and type ‘calendar’ in seach filed, you will be given a lot of apps, you or she should test what it most appropriate for your/her needs.

Settling Rebate Agreements with Validity Start Date not Start of the Month

Hello Experts,
I am currently trying to settle a rebate agreement with validity dates November 20, 2011 to December 31, 2011. However, after the credit memo is created, I noticed that the Service rendered date is today's date, but I expected it to be the same as my Settlement Date = November 30, 2011 (a month-end). Please advise if this is normal. If not, please advise how to correct the automatic entry of dates.

Kindly let us know what is the rebate agreement type that has been used for which you are facing problem and for which rebate agreement type you are getting the month end date.Check wheather scale basis is B(Value scale) has been maintained or not for the rebate agreement for which you are getting problem.So check the differences between the two rebate agreement types.As The service rendered date of the invoice line item is used to determine the validity of a rebate condition record

Working with Groups, Region Data Somehow Misaligned Locations in Audio Files.. How to Realign?

Hello All,
I'm a nonexpert, so please excuse in advance any lack of knowledge that I probably should have. I've been heavily editing a recording of several days of jams for a long time, basically by cutting and aligning very disparate parts to form something new. I had been working with my drummer's audio tracks in group, so each would be aligned as I cut, pasted and stretched regions. Now to my dismay, the all of the kick drum regions have become unaligned with the other drum tracks. This isn't something I can simply nudge, because it has shifted the location of the audio data of all of the kickdrum regions back 5 or 6 seconds. Therefore, the proper start of the region is not even loaded. If you look at the screenshot below, there are two audio files, one drum overhead (0022 AIRE 2) and the kickdrum (0023 BOMBO). The regions 0022 AIRE 2.89, 107, 108, etc. should correspond in sample location with 0023 BOMBO.89, 107, 108, etc. But, as you can see, the BOMBO samples have been shifted leftwards, all of them. All of the other drum tracks have the correct alignment for each region. My question is: Is there a way I can copy the region mapping information between 0022 AIRE 2 and 0023 BOMBO? Or are there any other ways to tell 0023 BOMBO regions 89, 107, etc. to pull audio data from the same location as 0022 AIRE 89, 107, etc.? I really hope so, because if not I'm helpless. Jeez, now it has happened to my other tracks as well.. If someone could please help, I would be grateful. Put too much work into it to have this ruin everything.. Here is another picture, how can I get these samples to realign? Remember, they are supposed to be part of a group and thus aligned. For some reason, the samples for the track 040 BOMBO have been all shifted leftwards in time from where they take the sample from the audio track. How can I fix this? Thank you anyone who can help..

Yeah, unfortunately I am coming to the same conclusion.
This is the entire response I received for "instructions"
There are two projects: "fire_text_project" and "fire_text_project_plugin". The first once does not require any plugin because one particle effect is pre-rendred. If you have trapcode particular then you can use the second project and modify it.
Finally you can create a realistic fire text in after effects!
It took me a week to do the 3d fire simulation and render out all the 26 letters on fire. This is a very realistic fire thats simulated using advanced 3d software. The video is 621 x 720 px and it is 7 seconds long. All the letters has the color video and the black and white (alpha) video. You can use the alpha matte to create a tranpsarent background for the colored video. That's is how it is done in the two example comps included in the project. You will have to understand that the letters are video so it is not as easy as typing the letters using text tool to edit the text. Open the "1st text Example comp 1" comp and it has marker that explains in detail on how to edit it.
The two included comps are "Example_comp 1" and "Example_comp 2". These are great examples of what you can do with fire text but the possiblity is endless.You can create many interesting comps with these text on fire. Just to let you know the text that is rendered in 3d app is Arial Black.
Think I am going to have no choice but to simply cancel the sale and look for something else.

Working With Nested XML Data

I'm doing my best to create a page in Dreamweaver CS4 utilizing Spry datasets and, I hope, a valid nested XML file. What I want to do is use one XML file that provides the content for my nav div and my content div. It would, in essence, display as an outline. When a user clicks on an item in the nav div the content would be displayed. What I'm guessing would work for the XML file would be this format:

I got the idea from this page in Live Docs: Create a Spry nested data set. Also from a Labs page called Nested XML Data Sample. I've been able to make various parts of the page work but I don't know what is broken. My issues are this:
I once saw but can no longer find a method for preventing redundant display of data. In this case, the nav elements which are attributes in my XML file.
The details are showing up in my content area. I must be doing the code for the nesting incorrectly.
I want to then use the details in the content area to trigger spry tooltips, the content for whih would be genereated from an XML file or HTML frags.

I apologize, im using Spry XML Data Set. i guess the best way to describe what im trying to do is, i want to use the Non-desctructive filter sample with the Spry Nested XML Data sample. So with my sample xml on my first post and with the same code non-destructive filter is using, im having trouble trying to search repeating nodes, for some reason it only searches the last node of the repeating nodes. Does that make sense? let me know.

Working with NON-Structured Data

Dear Colleague,
I am preparing to build a Forms application (using Oracle 9i Developer Suite, Release 2, version 9.0.2.0.1).
The application (and Data model) will need to associate SOPs (standard operating procedures) with certain measurements and treatments. It is planned to have the SOPs be, for example, MS Word documents, i.e. the SOPs will be non-structured data.
What is best practice when handling this situation? Please advise.
Assume I would like to view, print and (maybe) update the SOPs (Word files).
1. Should I just store a link to the Word file and a corresponding description or is it better to store the Word file in the DB?
2. If in the DB, which data type?
3. If SOP not in the DB, but a file, what is the mechanism for retrieval and display?
4. Printing the Word file via Forms - how? problems to avoid?
5. Update of the Word document via Forms - possible? How?
