Would like to specify sort order in link from chart

Hi Folks,
I have a chart for which I would like to provide drill down functionality, so that when a user clicks on the "Initial Budget" bar, they navigate to a financial report for the select business user sorted by Initial Budget.
Here's what I've found out so far. By playing with the financial report, I found that I could specify the sort column by change the n value of the "fsp_sort_n" in the Request portion of the URL. However, there is also some "RP&" syntax in the ClearCache portion of the URL that is stumping me. Without the RP& syntax, the resulting report is not properly sorted, so it seems necessary.
The syntax is "RP&fsp_region_id=4674145661723938".
The question is, where is that number coming from? Can I find out what it is dynamically? Is the number static (it seems to be within one application)? I would prefer not to code magic numbers, but am not so proud that I wouldn't do it if necessary. :-D

I just tried playing with the RP& syntax in the ClearCache portion of the URL. If I put that into the link, it prevents the bars from being displayed in the SVG chart. Hmmmm. Just a bit more info.

Hi,I am quite new to Crystal Report (XI), especially crosstabs. Currently I am trying to create a crosstabwhere selected customer are shown on the top of the crosstab and all not selected to be counted as 'Other'. This is no problem as long as I have always the same customer I want to show(via Cross-Tab goup option - specified order). But what I would like is to enter the customer via the parameters and than apply it as specifiedsort order and all not mentioned customer from the parameters to be calculated as 'others'. Is there any chance to achieve something like this? Thanks in advanceJan

We are experiencing a similar issue with the sort order in Infoview. We are using Crystal XI.5.8.26 and Infoview.
The specified sort order works correctly in Crystal but in Infoview it comes back with a different order. Are there any suggestions on resolving this disparity?

Just import them normally and sort the project by date. They will fall into place. If you tried this and it isn;t happening then make sure the data and times on the two cameras are identical and make sure you are sorting by date and time and nothing else.

Specified Sort Order not working correctly in InfoView

We are running Crystal 2008 version 12.2.0.290 with Infoview 12.1.0 and are having a problem with specified sort orders working correctly. In Crystal we are using the 'Chart Expert' to set the specified order of the percent bar chart. It works just fine in Crystal 2008 and shows the stacked bar in the order we would expect. We then save the report to InfoView and run the report on a schedule and it comes back in a completely different order. Not the order we specified in designing the report. Any ideas on what is going on?

I would like to use DDE to send data from a Lookout Server to an Excel
Spreadsheet.
I have Lookout 6.1 on a server connected to 4 client workstations
The operating system on the server is Windows Server 2003 R2; Standard Edition;
Service Pack 2
I have opened DDE Share but after filing in Share Name; Static Application
Name; Static Topic Name
I get a message, "Can't bind to DSDM service"
I also get this message when I press add a Share
What are the steps to setting up this type of communications link?

I have followed the steps on the Knowledge Base "How do I use DDE To Send Data Across the Network To Excel From Lookout?" but what I am seeing is that the computer with excel (Computer B)hangs up displaying an hour glass continuously leaving me no option but to go into task manager to stop excel. It appears to me that the dde share is not working properly on my windows xp where lookout resides or I do not have a certain service turned on. I do have the DDE services turned on both computers. I have my computer set up as computer A with Lookout and Process1 as the process with a pot set up as pot1. On my computer (Computer A) I also have the dde share set up per the KB example.
On computer B I have the dde services turned on and I am typing the following into an excel worksheet Cell ='\\TAG23232\NDDE$'|'Process1$'!Pot1
TAG 23232 is Computer A's Name
Do you have any suggestions???

Is the form a form that was shared with you or one that you created originally? The History you see is from the point you had access to the form, so if the form was shared with you it would only show history from that point forward.

To take photos from iPhoto and put them onto a folder on Desktop, first create a folder on Desktop. Right-click on Desktop and create a new folder.
Then, open iPhoto, and you have two ways to export photos:
1. Select the photos you want to copy to Desktop with Command key (or go to Edit menu > Select All, if you want to copy all photos), and then, drag them to the folder on Desktop.
2. Select the photos you want to copy to Desktop with Command key, go to File menu > Export, and follow the steps.
You can choose the one you prefer

Yes, it will use cellular data. If you know that you are going to out of wifi range, you can predownload some music whilst you have a wifi connection.

Not unless you buy an app that accesses data from an iTunes backup. Check in the app store.
