How I want it to look like (pls. note the Description column) -
Error      Type      Data_Selection    Description                      NPP      Item
AAA          new       nsdancsjjsjqs      abc=123                          john      12345678

                                                 cd=56
                                                 ij=89
i.e each of the new values in the description column of my spreadsheet would occupy a newline inside the same cell.I do not know how this can be achieved in the SQLplus. Do we need to add any formatting parameters in the sql file.
Thanks.

  • Horizontal Menu Wraps on Cell Phone Screens

    My website looks as designed except on cell phone screens where the horizontal menu wraps. How do I prevent that?
    Here is the CSS controlling the navigation menu:
    #navigation {
              height: 65px;
              width: 785px;
    #navigation ul li {
              list-style-type: none;
              float: left;
    #navigation ul li a {
              display: block;
              padding-top: 8px;
              padding-right: 0px;
              padding-bottom: 2px;
              padding-left: 40px;
              font-size: 12pt;
    #navigation ul {
              margin: 0px;
              padding: 0px;

    Without seeing the page, which is infinitely better than pasted code...
    Is the font-family being added in some other part of the css?
    Is that family available on all devices?
    Using px or pt for font size will generally cause issue as far as accessibility (can't resize it in some browsers) and will cause issues between devices. Using em or % is generally better. Here's a good explanation link...

  • Wrapping table cell contents

    Hi
    I have a requirement where i need to wrap my table cell contents.I have chekced all the properties of table but none serves my purpose.Kindly help in this direction.
    NWDS version : 7.3
    Server version : 7.3 SP02
    Thanks
    Monika

    Hi Monika
    Wrapping property is not available at table level.
    The individual columns header and content in the text views only you can wrap.
    If the table column cell editor is a Text View , then you can see the Wrapping property and you can change it to true for wrapping.. For column headers also you can set the property.

  • Wrap-Text bug when publishing - When will it be fixed?

    The bug that causes the text to not wrap in short answer and survey quiz questions when published to Adobe Connect has been around for at least 2 years. This is extremely inconvenient. I need to add a published Presenter quiz to our Adobe Connect Training Curriculum that includes a non-graded survey question, but we cannot because the wrap-text feature doesn't work. Since it doesn't work, the learner can only type in an endless straight line, which is extremely frustrating to the learner because they cannot easily go back and review their answer or make edits before hitting submit. They can't even put in a paragraph return. The wrap-text will only work if I share the quiz within a Meeting Room, but then we cannot track the individual answers learners provide. I added the Meeting Room, with the quiz being shared, into the Curriculum content, and sometimes the content list will then show the quiz as a sub-item under the Meeting Room, but sometimes it doesn't, and if you make any change to the item being shared, it sometimes suddenly removes the quiz as a sub-item in the content list. Plus, learners will be confused when they see the content list as to whether click to enter the meeting room and take the quiz or to click directly on the link to the quiz that is listed as a sub-item. And whichever one they choose, when they return to the curriculum list, they will only have a green complete check on one of the items, not both, even though they both go to the same place. When will this bug be fixed? Or has it been overlooked?

    Well, I can't see any problem with the feed, and the episode media file is correctly referenced and plays. Incidentally you do have a 'copyright' tag - it says 'Wippenberg'.
    When a podcast feed is rejected, corrected and resubmitted there is a minor bug in the Store which causes you to be told that the podcast has already been submitted (which is true but irrelevant - it's really meant to prevent duplicates). To get round this you need to make a small change to the title - for example you could add a hyphen and space before 'Podcast'. You can always change it back once it's been accepted.
    The other issue might be the content. The reason given for rejection tends to be technical issues, whatever the actual reason is. I haven't listened to your podcast, so I can't comment directly. Possible reasons for rejection are unacceptable content, sexual content or strong language when the 'explicit' tag is not said to 'yes', and copyright infringement: a lot of people fall over this one by including 'mixes' or indeed full plays of commercially issued recordings without having written permission from the copyright owners or alternatively a valid Podcast Licence (not available in all countries, possibly only the USA). I have no idea whether this might be an issue with yours.

  • Wrapping numbers and dates in columns

    Is there a way to have formatted numbers and dates wrap in cells when the columns are too small to display all the data?

    runswithtwohorses wrote:

    r,
    Yes, but I have only had success if I add an auxiliary cell/column for the transition to text.
    For instance if I have the Date/Time January 1, 2010 10:10 AM in Cell A1 and format it as Friday, January 1, 2010 10:10 AM it doesn't wrap, but, let's say, it has the proper format. If in Cell B1 I write: =A1 & "" , and I set the wrap property in the Format Inspector for that cell, I will get the proper format and the wrap in B1.
    So, the concatenation operator and the null string convert the date object to text. I have found no way to do this in a single cell, even with a more complex formula.

  • Tables

    Hi there,
    I am designing an application form on LiveCycle.
    Currently, I have used tables to produce areas for applicants to detail previous employment and education.  To make the cells editable I have right clicked and selected 'Wrap in Subform' - then right click again and 'Change object type>Text'
    The main 2 problems I am encountering are...
    1) I have to do the above steps cell by cell - is there a way to blanket the table and do them all at once? Or produce the table already in this format?
    2) Once saved, using the document in Adobe, you can only input one line of text in each cell - if you hit return, it takes you back out of the cell, and if the writing overruns the cell, then it only displays what is visible in that one line of text, rather than wrapping onto the next line.
    Forgive me if these are obvious questions, it is the first time I have used LiveCycle.
    Also, if anyone knows of a better way to do this, than using a table, I will be very happy to hear it!
    Thanks

    I don't think there's any need to wrap the cells in a subform.
    1) Create a new table
    2) Select all the cells you need (while either holding Shift or Ctrl)
    3) In the Object pallette under the Field tab change the type to Text Field
    4) In the same tab make sure 'Allow Multiple Lines' is selected
    5) Also make sure under the Layout pallette that Expand to fit for Height is checked
    That should do it.
    Hope that helps.

  • LSMW - LF as record separator

    Hi,
    I want to use LSMW to upload longtexts to SAP. Source file is an excel spreadsheet with two columns containing the material no and the longtext. If the longtext contains more lines each line is separated by an LF (word wrap within cell in excel)!
    If I now save the excel file as TXT file and upload it in LSMW each CRLF and LF is recognized as "end of record indicator", but I only want CRLF as "end of record indicator"!?
    Can I prevent LSMW from handling each LF as "end of record indicator"?
    Thanks & Regards

  • HTML e-mail for watched forum posts

    Any chance of sending the forum posts in HTML format?  I find the current presentation unappealing, I would prefer an HTML tabular display (wrapping in cell), something like:
    Forum:     <...>

    <MESSAGE>
    We could also hide the links to the forum and topic behind nicer labels.
    BTW, do we award points to answers in this forum?
    Cheers,

    Hi Scott,
    "Unapealing" it is, but that doesn't get it very high on the long requirements list.
    To make it more appealing to reward points is higher up there and I think everyone would love to see that.
    Nevertheless I added it to the list.
    Best, Mark.
    P.S. On one hand I don't care about points, on the other I get teased in the office when I am not in the top ten, although with all this great contributions from you guys and girls, I am letting go of that goal. So don't bother.

  • Excel Spreadsheet Journal Import

    I'm trying to debug an issue related to using the Excel Spreadsheet Journal Import. Where does the validation take place? I'm using Financial 9.0. But what actually happens when you click the import button? It looks like an XML message is sent. Does anyone know if this happens and if so what the name of the message is that is supposed to handle the incoming message??
    Thanks all in advance!!

    Kathleen,
    No, Data Merge won't do. The context of need in this case is placing an Excel spreadsheet into InDesign; with Show Import Options turned on; with the workflow idea of bringing it in unformatted; yet applying a pre-made TableStyle to it.
    It turns out in this case that you have to follow up with selecting the first row (the header row) and clicking on Table > Convert (something or other) and choosing Header, thus turning the header row into a mechanically-repeating row (as in the case of a very long table that flows over more than one page).
    You can do this in advance if it is a Word doc table. That is, it can be set in Word before placing. Apparently you cannont do so in advance in Excel.
    Therefore, upon placing, the TableStyle appears to fail to some degree until you catch up with the Header Row conversion.
    Best to you,
    Mike Witherell in Alexandria, VA
    I'm not sure if this would help:
    * Create the heading row content on the master page, either as literal text in a text frame, or as a text variable.
    * Use Data Merge multiple records per page mode on the body page.
    This creates a pseudo table heading above the merged data on each new page. You'll have to adjust the height, vertical justification, and text wrap when defining the master page text frame text wrap to force the merged data to begin below it on the page.
    If you truly need a table, perhaps because some column content needs to wrap within cells, then "never mind." But if that's not the problem, perhaps nested and GREP styles could manage the formatting you need.

  • Authentication scheme affecting report formatting

    Hi all,
    I'm new to HTMLDB, and using 1.5.0.00.33. Super product. All was going splendidly until...
    I created an authentication scheme ('ANIX') from scratch. Its function checks agains database users, and performs correctly. It uses login page 101. All other parameters defining the scheme I left at defaults.
    I have some multi-column sql reports which include a text column (call it FRED) with typical contents of say 500 to 2000 characters.
    With HTML_DB as the current authentication scheme, column FRED wraps as expected, and reports render correctly.
    With ANIX as the current authentication scheme, column FRED doesn't wrap, so report tables no longer size to the width of the browser window - they extend way to the right in an unacceptable manner.
    I can toggle between correct and incorrect report displays by switching which auth scheme is current. This happens whatever report template I use.
    Anyone shed light on this please?
    Thanks,
    John D

    Hi Scott,
    Thanks for prompt reply.
    Auto-sizing of columns and wrapping of cell contents to fit (e.g. in columns of a <table width="100%">) is default HTML behaviour, no? - as with the paragraph you're reading right now.
    Clearly authentication shouldn't have any thing to do with it. But that's what's happening...
    I'd like to install on oracle.com, but the dependencies of the app on objects and data in other schemas (users, tables etc. in the 'main' transactional database) make this a prohibitively complex task at this stage.
    Perhaps I could sort out some access for you to the app in situ? (First I'll have to find out how - it's all behing firewalls etc at the moment).
    If it helps, the authenticate function is below.

  • BI Web Service - How to retain numeric data format?

    When returning data via Business Intelligence Web Service (BIWS), I find that calculations cannot be made on numeric columns because they are treated at strings. I have tried specifically changing the format to number in the underlying web report block, but it didn't have any effect. I have found that I have to wrap each cell in a "=value()" function in order to perform a calculation on the returned data in Excel.

  • Rtc battery in dv3505

    The rtc battery in the DV3505 has wires attached with a small connector on the end. Anyone know 1) if it's possible to replace just the battery and re-use the connector and 2) what sort of battery is it (they are usually 2032)?  I'm hoping just to have to take the laptop apart once to fit a new battery, rather than one time to find out what the battery is and then again to fit the replacement.

    Yes you can & we do this all the time as cheaper than buying purpose cabled batteries & we can buy better quality cells & they are very new & not very old stock which is case when buying complete in many cases.
    just remove the insulation carefully then pull the cable from its spot weld points noting polarity then remount to new cell. You can solder it if you have a nice hot iron & do it really quickly applying little heat to the cell.
    Check cable connector for voltage reading before wrapping assembly.
    Use some shrink wrap for first insulation wrap of cell & cable & hot air gun to shape it nicely to cell & taper down to cable.
    Use some electical tape for a second wrap & make sure back end is sealed with tape then do a nice neat wrap around the assembly & all should be good.
     just make sure you buy a quility 3V lithium cell (2032) & not china rubbish. Also use a good quality amalgamating insulation tape.
