Wrong order on cd after burning

for some reason, the playlist that i have is not burning in the same order onto a cd... the songs have numbers on them and i made sure that i clicked the album order in the playlist.. but it still burns in the wrong order... alphabetically
help? please

I went into INFO & added 01, 02 at the beginning of each title.
I burned the CD.
It looks like it's out of order, but it seems to play in the order I chose.
I printed the CD insert in the order I wanted, and the guy I'm giving the CD to can put them in the order I chose.
This should be easier than it is. Esp. when giving a gift CD, the order of the songs is important. I don't know why there are several questions on this site with the same problem. APPLE - make it easier.

  • I have finally figured out how to export an iphoto album so that I can maintain the proper order of the photos after burning the file. How do I keep each individual photo title and description after exporting and burning?

I have finally figured out how to export an iphoto album so that I can maintain the proper order of the photos after burning the file. How do I keep each individual photo title and description after exporting and burning?  Presently after exporting and burning each photo is identified by the file name rather than each individual title description.

File name and Title are not the same thing.
Filename is attached to the Jpeg file in the Finder.
Title is attached to the photo within the Jpeg file - as is the description. These are written to the Exif and IPTC metadata on export.
So: File -> Export. Kind: Jpeg or Tiff and Check the box at 'Title and Keywords'. This will write the Title, keywords and descriptions (though not explicitly stated) to the metadata. This can then be viewed in any app that understand this material.
You can choose, if you wish, to also use the Title as a Filename - that's an option at File Name

  • Clips in wrong order after importing

    Hello,
I have a digital Sony camcorder HDR-SR7E. I had a 7 day trip and filmed a lot. When i was importing it to imovie all seemed fine but after importing it all the clips were in the wrong order. And i belive there is no way of sorting the clips or is there?
I found something called pane reliever for imovie but the download link is not working. Or maybe someone else has any experience with this kind of a problem.
Thank you very much for any replies,
    Madis

And i belive there is no way of sorting the clips or is there?
Not from within iMovie '08. You can however, download and open a utility called "A Better Finder Attributes", close iMovie '08, open the problem events folder, drag and drop your imported clips to the utility, change the "creation" dates and/or times, and then re-open iMovie '08. If all went well, your "Event" clips will be re-ordered during the initialization "scan" according to their creation dates/times within the event.
I found something called pane reliever for imovie but the download link is not working.
This utility appears to have been written originally for OS 8 and 9 and carried over to OS 10.1 thru 10.3 but I don't see any reference to OS 10.4, OS 10.5, or use with iMovie '08. I would stick with simply changing the Finder attributes for the files.

  • Need Help - CD burning tracks in wrong order!

    Dear All..
I am having a huge problem with my iTunes when it comes to burning a disc. Alright - yesterday I bought a new CD from iTunes and I wanted to burn it to disc for my car. So I did exactly that however, when I play the CD in my car it has the tracks burned in the wrong order than the CD was in the "playlist" that I burned it from.
It's very frustrating. It has happened previously and I remember an iTunes update fixed it but now it's back. I would really appreciate any help that any of you experts can give me.
    Many thanks..
    Ricky

I needed to copy a cd and this is the first time I was trying with my Mac. In Windows is so easy and there are hundreds of programs to do it that it's unbelievable how difficult this can be in the Mac world without paying extra $$$ for a program like Toast! I was trying several solutions and none of them worked. Finally I realized that the order I was looking at my the files in the library is the order the playlist is generated and no matter what the track order is that doesn't help in getting the tracks in the cd in proper order. So I went to my library, selected the files I wanted in my cd and got them in the correct track order and then created the playlist from that selection and the order of the files in the playlist matches the original cd order and the new cd I burned out of the playlist. I tried this a couple times already and works fine this way. Kind of a bummer if you ask but... hope this helps anyone out there because this can be very frustrating.

  • BUG: LR displays fast FPS series  in wrong order

I've taken some pictureseries with my Nikon D200 with fast continious mode (5 frames per second).
When importing them into the LR library, some of the pictures (from the fast fps series) show up in wrong order (quite annoying).
This does not apply to pictures from "normal" shootings, just the fast fps ones.
This happens both in folder view and other views based on keywords etc.
I assume LR displays the pictures according to time in exif info, and doesn't know what to do when the pictures have the same time info (which I guess happens at high fps-rates).
But wouldn't it be logical when this issue accours, that LR would look at the filenames (of the conflicting files) and display pictures chronological based on numbering. Instead, it seemes to be making wild guesses.
    My files looks like this:
    YYYYMMDD_DSC####_more_info.nef
    Is this a known issue?
    regards Carl

    David,
I think you're right. I do a lot of continuous stuff with my D200 and I noticed some time ago it writes the files "out of order" to the card. This is really a feature of fast digital cameras and not a bug in Lightroom, it's to do with the strategy the cameras use when you give them a lot of data, pause a moment, and then do it again while they are still writing to the card. "Creation Time" is really "Write-to-Card time".
I really can't see how it's an issue with YYYYMMDD_DSC####, though; they could still be sorted on filename post-import, surely?
I just did a test renaming _DH35222.NEF to bananas_DH35222.NEF in the operating system; LR blinked once then updated the name, so I don't really see why the renaming couldn't in principle be done after import by a little external script, with the LR database open.
I can't help thinking that all this renaming and reshuffling is all just making work for oneself though. The files are stored in date-based folders by default, can be sorted on (among other things) filename and (best of all) can be browsed visually.
Still, all progress depends on the "unreasonable man" who persists in adapting the world to himself, according to George Bernard Shaw.

  • After burning cd from iTunes the end tracks distort

after burning cd from iTunes 11.04 the end tracks distort upon playback

    artjam61 wrote:
    Ed,
I tried burning the files that distort (from Itunes) using toast on my G5 instead of my powerbook pro and still the distortion. Is it possible that itunes corrupted all my files when I upgraded?
Art,  there is nothing about an iTunes upgrade that would modify the song files in any way, but stranger things have happened.  If the same effect is occurring on a different computer, there is something suspicious.
Make a new playlist with the same tracks in reverse order and burn it.  Does the distortion appear on the same tracks in their new position?  Or does it move to the tracks that are now the higher numbers?

  • Toolbar buttons in wrong order on the server

    Time to call for backup.
I have a couple of CSH FlashHelp projects where I specify the
following toolbar button order in the SSL dialog:
    Contents (default)
    Search
    Index
    Glossary
    Print
However, after the generated help goes to the various
application builds, the buttons show in this order: Contents,
Index, Glossary, Search. (Wrong order and no Print button.)
I got a developer's help when we first found this problem,
and he tracked the button order to the whcshdata.htm file. After I
generate, it contains the following line, after all the CSH/topic
    associations:
    addWindow("[window
    name]",false,30,"10%","3%","60%","75%","[window title
    here]",2,0,"toc|ndx|gls|nls","toc");
Note the wrong button order. It looks on the surface like
it's ignoring my specifications. The funny thing is that even with
this wrong order, the toolbar buttons show up correctly when I open
the help from my hard drive by double-clicking the start page. The
malfunction is when the help files are on a server.
To fix this, I have to manually change "toc|ndx|gls|nls" to
"toc|nls|ndx|gls|prt" and check that file in to the repository in
order to get the right order and the Print button. (It's not a
problem if I haven't introduced any changes to my map file, because
then I just don't check whcshdata.htm in to source control. But if
I have made changes, then I have to tweak the file again.)
Anyone know what the problem could be? I've just rolled with
it for months, ever since the problem popped up in one of the
production systems and we fixed it with the manual tweak. But I'd
like to get to the root of this if possible.
    Thanks all,
    Ben

The thing to check would be to look on your iTunes at home on your desktop and check that the songs are ordered correctly there. One thing with renaming double cd sets (as I also do) is that sometimes the track numbers get jumbled.
If you select the offending album in iTunes, click on the header bar where it says 'name' (above the song titles), you'll see that part of the bar turn blue and iTunes will jumble the tracks into a random order.
Click on track# to reorder them 1,2,3 etc. Sync these changes back to the iPod.
Incidentally, there can be problems associated with iPods and network drives. See this.
    Strange iPod behavior.

  • Designer BC4J Generator Extension creates wrong order by clause

    Hi,
Just tried out the new Designer BC4J Generator Extension and it creates a wrong order by clause. I have a List of values in Designer with one table usage. There is a bound item based on a columnname CODE and has the name L_CODE. The order by sequence is 1 and ascending. After generating it in JDeveloper the generated query is:
    SELECT PrjEntityUsage.CODE,
    PrjEntityUsage.NAAM
    FROM X_PROJECTEN PrjEntityUsage
    ORDER BY LCODE
    So there are two problems:
    1) If the name property in designer is different from the column name the select in the SQL query in JDeveloper needs an alias with the name property from Designer.
2)If there is an _ in the name it is ignored in the order by clause in JDeveloper.
I do not know where to report the bug so i placed it here.
    Regards,
    Andre Jochems

    Andre,
Thanks for notifying us about these. There are indeed bugs which we have logged and scheduled for a fix.

  • Playback level after burning a cd in waveburner

after reading a number of posts concerning lower volume levels after burning a cd in WB:
    just tested this.
from what i can see and hear: there is no difference between the levels in the original WB file and the resulting cd.
anyone getting a lower level is doing something wrong.

just thought i'd lay some rumors to rest.
plus the files look identical to the naked eye.
and when needed, they are as loud as f*ck.

  • WL6.1 inserts columns in wrong order with random nulls

I'm in the process of migrating a WL5.1 EJB app to WL6.1 and I've come across a
very frustrating and strange error. While executing my app, one of my session
beans calls a (callable statement) stored procedure on SQL Server 7.0, but when
it trys to insert a row in the database it inserts a few of the columns in the
wrong order and one of the columns, oddly, is all of the sudden NULL.
I've checked and double checked all SQL code and SPs on SQL Server and everything
is correct. Plus, the app works perfectly on WL5.1. PLEASE HELP!
    Kindest regards,
    Paul

    Jane:
I just created a test project with the Portfolio-Color theme. I selected text for the link item instead of the default button. I then created 10 slideshow links, placing them in two columns of 5 each. 1-5 and 6-10. After aligning by eye I was able to navigate down each column in order. However, when I dragged 10 video clips into a similar menu the navigation order went all over the place as you experienced. I've tried using the regular buttons with snap to grid enabled for importing. It appears that that theme wants to import across the top row first and then the bottom next. With only 5 items it puts two on the top and 3 on the bottom.
You may have to go with three menus: the top menu has two folders, slideshows 1-5 and slideshows 6-10. Then place your slideshows in each folder accordingly and let it do the placement, either text wise or button wise.
Either that or find a new theme what will work better with 10 items on a page.

  • Indesign - Wrong order of pages when printing

    Hello
I'm using Adobe Indesign CS4. Recently i decided to make my first "booklet". There are 80 pages - mixed text and images. When I try to print it as booklet I have problem with the order of the pages. After the page 26 or so it starts to print the pages in wrong order. When I have smaller booklet about 15 pages long the order is correct and I have no problems.
What could cause this problem? I would be really greatful as I have spent almost 4 hours trying to figure this out without any results :/
Thank you in advance and regards

The thing is that in Preview everything seems to be correct , pages 1 and 80 etc are beside each other.
Right now I have turned all the settings concerning printing Blank Pages and problem still occurs.
To be exact, i have made document 80 pages long, containing only numbers of pages on the bottom right corner.
I have set to print booklet (I use HP Laserjet P2015).
Up to page 6 everything is correct, but then there is a blank page and the numeration is 8 , next page is number 7 , next number 10 and next numer 9. It is totally messed up.

  • Photos are show in wrong order

    Hello,
I bought an iPod Touch 32 GB because I thought it's a good way to carry my pictures with me.
The problem is that within the folders/albums the pictures are displayed in the wrong order. It's not chronlogically, by name or something else I can identify.
    What have I done?
I'm using a XP laptop and my pictures are stored in several folders on a NAS. First I made sure that the pictures were sorted by "picture taken on". Then I selected the picture folder in iTunes and selected several subfolders to be transferred to the iPod. It took a while as we are talking of 15.000 pictures. Some of the folders have 10 or 20 pictures, some of the folders have 200 or even 400 pictures. It's important for me that they will be displayed in a chronological or by name. But I have the feeling that starting from a certain amount of pictures (like 30 or 40) it completely destroys the structure.
    What can I do?
I hope I was able to make my point as I'm writing you from Germany and my English is not the best.
Please help me to get this problem solved.

FOUND SOLUTION  from another unhappy guy (forgot his name) but he was very kind in posting the solution after he broke his brain trying with the Support team  (?)
in any case here is the solution:
1 - in PHOTOS   check sync
2 - DO NOT SELECT ANY Folders or files
3 - let the phone do the sync
4 - repeat the sync by selecting the folders you intend to sync
    It did worked for me....try
    good luck
PS - I wish that the board could be monitored by Apple experts so that they may add valid
solutions to problems rather then us going crazy looking for intelligent reply to questions!

  • Book TOC wrong order?

    Greetings,
I've just created an InDesign book with each of its chapters being an InDesign document. Each chapter needs its own TOC and there is a separate chapter for the Main TOC. All works fine but for some reason, an entry in the Main TOC is listed as being on page 1 but yet falls after 3 other entries, one on page 1 and two on page 2. See below:
    Table of contents
    Before you begin
    Getting started ......................................................................................... ........  1
    Read-ahead control codes ...............................................................................  2
    Read-ahead control for macros ........................................................................  2
    Scope ......................................................................................... ....................  1
'Scope' is the first heading followed by 'Getting started' and so on. I've tried everything obvious but to no avail – can anyone shed any light? Bug?
    Thanks,
    Wes

Thanks Peter, I'm afraid it's not that obvious. Have a look at the pics if you get chance and see what you think. Basically they are of the two pages the Main TOC is reading from and a snap of the Main TOC in the wrong order.
SInce opening the thread, I've tried scrapping and creating the paragraph styles and TOC styles again and am getting exactly the same. The most bizarre part is that the Main TOC and the Chapter TOCs all work exactly how they should elsewhere!
Obviously I can put it right manually but the problem is that I'm developing a template to be used company-wide so I need to get it right.

  • Reinstalled software discs in wrong order....now just get blue screen!!

Everytime I tried to empty my trash my eMac froze. So decided I would wipe everything off my eMac. Reinstalled applications and Classic support first and then reinstalled Mac OS X. Realised I did this is wrong order (supposed to be Mac OS X first and then classic & applications after). Now all I can get is a blank blue screen and nothing else!!

    Welcome To Discussions Kirstine!
Is this eMac - Technical Specifications, the model of eMac that you have?
If so, you will notice that the original systems were Mac OS X v10.1, Mac OS 9.2.
Are you using the original system install discs?
If so, what leads you to believe that you should install OS X first.
If my memory serves me, when I installed the software for my iMac (Summer 2001) - Technical Specifications, I just inserted disc 1, and continued with the installation by following the prompts.
Both OS 9 & OS X were installed. Is that procedure different for the eMac?
    Please clarify.
Also, have you considered upgrading to a newer version of OS X? 10.1.x was hardly more than a BETA.
