WRT320N Wifi after Day or two loses connection

Hello
I have a problem that over time I no longer work Wifi connection. LAN connection is OK.
After the restart everything is OK, but only 1 or 2 days. Then I must reboot again.
Latest Firmware
WPA 2 Personal
no ssid broadcast (did not help either turn on SSID)
My friend have the same problem.
When I turn ON SSID, after 1 or 2 day I not see my wifi on HP notebook , iPhone or second Toshiba notebook, and must restart router.
PLS Help and sorry form my english.

Again there is the same problem.
And I already thought that everything is OK. ((  But I was wrong.
After a few days again same problem, my iPhone is unable to connect, I have to reboot the router.
But now it worked longer.
I found that if you can not connect to WiFi, the router still shining light signaling communications for WIFI. After the restart, the router starts blinking again WIFI and everything works as it should.
Thank you for any advice.

  • MBA Loses connectivity

I have a 2011 MBA which has connectivity issues.  At first I thought it was a known problem with the wifi that I saw on the net quite extensively.  But Im beginning to think my problem is different.  The reason is that I have the same ISP at home, office, parents, inlaws and best friends house.  The problem only occurs at home.
The problem is not with the wifi really.  I never lose connection between my MBA & the wifi router.  The problem is that the internet connectivity is temporarily lost for stretches of 1-3 minutes at a time.  Then i have to either change the DNS or renew my IP from the router or refresh the page or a combination of all of them for a simple page like Facebook.com or Yahoo.com to continue loading.  The page  begins loading and stops, keeps loading and stops, continues and stops intermittently.
My ISP is sending a tech next week to look at the problem but they almost never know what to do.  What parameters on the wifi/router can I have him test to see if it fixes the issue?

Ok I have access to my ISP wifi/router.  I can change whatever I want.  What do you guys suggest I change?
    My MBA is 2011.
I have the same ISP at home, office, in laws and parents house and friends house.
I connect wifi in every location without issues.  Navigation is fine.
Only at home I have the issue.  I'm permanently connected to the wifi network.
The issue is that I lose Internet connectivity on and off.  Pages start to load and stall.  All of a sudden they load again and so it repeats.
My iPhone and iPad navigate fine.

  • After a day or two I can no longer conect to a known WiFi network

After a day or two I can no longer connect to a known WiFi network without rebooting the router. The same thing happens with both routers I have (SMC and a Verizon) and when using a shared connection from my MacMini. This happens with each of FOUR iPhones I've owned and my iPod touch. So... yeah. I'm guessing this is either a software issue or some really odd signals are in the are in my area of New Jersey.
    Anyone else having similar issues?

have you deleted the account and re-added it?  Have you done a reset or restore as outlined in the iPhone user guide?  What troubleshooting have you done?

  • Brand new MacBook Pro won't connect to WiFi after one day.

I got my MBP replaced by Apple on Sunday. I used it a bit that night, and let migration assistant transfer everything over from by backup drive overnight. I used it for a few more hours the next day, no problems. I brought my computer over to my friend's room (we're in a dorm building) and tried to connect to her WiFi. Whenever I try to connect to a network, there's an "!" over the WiFi bars in the status bar, and in Network Preferences, under WiFi, it say "No IP Address."
I am having the same issue in my Windows partition as well, which leads me to suspect this is a hardware issue. I am still able to view WiFi networks. I just cannot connect. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hmmm...yes, there should be, although resetting the modem isn't hard (unless they mean something along the lines of resetting to factory settings). I wonder, tho, if the modem is old enough that something in your new computer is not communicating with it.
Can you connect with an ethernet cable? That might help you figure out if it really is a problem with your modem. You might also check with your internet service provider. I realize not all of them can deal with Macs, but if you rent the modem, they might be able to get you a newer model and if not, they may be able to make a suggestion.

  • Daughter's new Mac laptop loses connection after about 15minutes on her apartment cable provider network.  Her roommates older Mac works ok as did my daughters olde MacBook what could Be causing the shutoff?

Daughters new macBook loses connectivity on wifi at her apartment after about 15 minutes but works fine on other wifi networks. Her roommates older MacBook works fine on wifi as did my daughters older MacBook.  what could Be the cause?---mmannaxx

Assuming this does not happen at a specific time of day but randomly when ever she connects, she may need to power cycle the modem/router, with the MBP off, after it reestablishes connection and IP addresses, then power up the MBP and reconnect.

  • Two of our ipod touches won't connect to the home wifi.  They have done before. All other apple devices connect fine.  They can see the wifi devices, appear to try to connect (the circle whirls around) but connection doesn't complete.  Ideas?

I have 2 of them that only connected for a day and then reset network settings and they connected again for a day now resetting network settings does not fix it either. My iphone used to work with my home network but after upgrading to the latest OS which is the same versions as the ipods it no longer works either. Acts the same as the ipods. It would seem that the latest tweeks to the OS is the problem with wifi connectivity.

  • Time Capsule flashes amber and loses connection at least once a day

    Hello,
I got my Time Capsule a month ago. I had an old one from 2008 which I gave to a friend, so it was time to upgrade. I have no idea what's going on, but the Time Capsule flashes amber and I lose my Internet connection at least once a day, sometimes two or three times within a few hours.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any idea how to fix it?
    If it matters, I'm on a mid-2010 MBP running OS X 10.8.5.
    Thanks!

It is not stable firmware.. or has issues .. with some modems.. or is just faulty.. pick one or two choices.
There is no fix because this is really a bug.

  • My wifi loses connection to my phone and laptop at the same time every 30 mins or so.

    Hey all.
I have a WRT160 V2 router with firmware  v2.0.02. I have had the router for years without any problems. A few months ago I have started to see an issue where I lose connection to my internet on my laptop, and wifi on my phone at the same time. I have wifi calling on my phone and it disconnects also at the same time. All of a sudden, everything will stop working, then about 40 seconds later, it all works again. I lost the connection maybe every 30 to 60 mins
Does anyone have an idea what can be causing this issue? Thank you.
It is really annoying because I rely on wifi calling for my primary phone, and I end up getting cut off when talking to people. BTW wifi calling is for all tmobile phones, but also normal wifi to surf the web on my laptop and phone drops too at the same time.

I would suggest that you isolate the problem. You may start the isolation by connecting a computer directly to the router (hard wired connection). Observe the connection for couple of hours. If the connection is stable, problem might be on the wireless settings of the rotuer. If the connection is not stable, do further isolation. Connect the computer directly to your modem. Observe the connection for couple of hours. If the connection is not stable, call your internet service provider. If the connection is stable, problem might be on the router itself. Upgrade the firmware first (firmware available in the website: Ver.2.0.03 Build 9). After the upgrade, reset and reconfigure your router.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Mac won't connect to wifi after sleep?

    Hello,
I'm a student, and currently on an Enterprise network, and whenever I've used this wifi I always have troubles with connection! The first time I connect at the start of the school year, everything works just fine. However, 90% of the time, after closing the laptop and opening it again, I lose my connection to the wifi - even if I haven't moved.
When I open the laptop it tries to connect to the wifi, and fails. Sometimes it says I have an ip but wont be able to connect, or flat out it cannot connect. Typically I go into my wifi settings and delete the network from the list, then delete the network certificate from my keychain. After turning the wifi off then on, then re-entering my cridentials it will sometimes recconect just fine. Otherwise I have to sit there and connect/dissconecct/wifi on/wifi off till it can connect again. All said and done, getting it to connect again takes me a good 5 mins or so. Not ideal for a college student.
I do NOT have this problem on my home network or any other wifi for that matter, just the schools Enterprise network. I was using Lion up untill today when I upgraded to Mountain Lion, but both OS's have this problem.
Most of my PC peers or Snow Leopard peers have to configure 802.1x settings, however, lion and up does not allow for adding an 802.1x profile. Could this be the source of my problem?
    Thanks for any help.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
    1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved. Make sure the box marked
Remember networks this computer has joined
    is checked.
    2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading
Symptom: After restarting or waking from sleep, my computer might not connect to the Internet
    3. Reset the PRAM.
    4. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
    5. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
    6. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
    7. Repair permissions on the startup volume.
    8. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
    9. Reset the System Management Controller.
    10. This step shouldn't be necessary, but has been advised by Apple Support in some cases, apparently as a workaround for a bug. Open the Energy Saver pane in System Preferences. If applicable, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner to unlock the settings. Enter your administrator login password when prompted.
Select the Power Adapter tab and uncheck the boxes marked
              Wake for Wi-Fi network access
    and
              Enable Power Nap...
if present. Then, if the computer is a MacBook, select the Battery tab and uncheck
              Enable Power Nap...
    11. Reinstall OS X.
