WRT54G2 - https is not forwarding to our webmail on our server

I have 3 port forwards setup
25 / 443 / 3389
we are receiving email and I can access the server remotely but our webmail is not accessable. I found someone else having the same problem and they were advised to change the mtu value to 1300 which I've tried and it still does not work. This router is replacing one that had failed and our webmail was not a problem
We are not using the wireless part of the router
What settings am I missing?

Do you have a mail server on your network that you are trying to access webmail on? Where are you trying to access webmail from?

  • RV220W DMZ not working and protocol 41 packets not forwarded

After fighting a brand new RV220W for hours I am just about giving up on it.
It does not forward anything the to the DMZ server including the IP protocol 41 packets needed for our IPv6 6in4 tunnel.
Nor does it send protocol 41 packets to the WAN.
TCP and UDP packets are only forwarded to the DMZ server if specifically done by a firewall rule.
CISCO support was not able to solve the problem after half an hour on the phone.
Factory resets and absolutely minimal configuration changes have been tried to no avail.
    Firmware is 1.0.1.0.
The hairpinning problem as well as the weird time problem cause by ticking the daylight savings box has been observed as well.
Should I return this thing having learned that CISCO quality is a thing of the past ?
The Netgear WNDR3700 it was supposed to replace, due to the SNMP support found in this router, happily forwards packets at half the price.

Manually creating a firewall rule with protocol 41 in the backup config file and restoring it makes no difference.
(A new checksum for the configuration file may be generated by md5sum when the checksum line has been deleted)
Default should be to route all IP packets regardless of protocol number to the DMZ server, when DMZ is enabled. Now the router returns a ICMP port unreachable message to the WAN sender.
    Update:
The problem is only present when the dual stack IPv4/IPv6 feature is enabled, so after all it may be a bug and not a design decision. Waiting for Cisco support to verify/advice on this.
BTW it is unbelievable, that the configuration file (plain text) saved by the backup function in the router cannot be read / used by Cisco suppport. They can only handle something which can be displayed in a browser (sic!)
    Update 2:
Further testing has shown, that the option of forwarding of protocol 41 packets for 6in4 tunnels in any mode (IPv4 only or IPv4/IPv6) is randomly enabled. Sometimes suddenly working after 30 minutes. At other times not at all even after a reboot. Occasionally it has been working in both modes.
I have provided information about this to CISCO.
Cisco support has recognized this to be a problem of the current software 1.0.1.0 and is issuing a refund of the router.

  • SAP Web dispatcher not forwarding incoming HTTP portal sessions.

    Hello,
We are using an EP6 Portal from which Abap Web dynpros are launched. The incoming http sessions were accessing our backend ECC6 SAP system through the sap server message . The http sessions were badly dispatched between the two abap servers. We have been advised by SAP to use the sap web dispatcher instead.
The sap web dispatcher has been correctly installed and configured (on the central abap instance ).
I have carefully read the SAP help section concerning the server selection using the sap web dispatcher :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/5f/7a343cd46acc68e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
All our settings seem to be OK :
The incoming HTTP requests are forwarded to abap servers only.
*In transaction SICF, all the services under the tree
sap/public/icf_info have been assigned to the same logon group .
The capacity of the two servers included in the logon
group " is the same :
    server40 LB=12
    server60 LB=12
In the Web interface, capacity equal "1" for the two servers.
    wdisp/load_balancing_strategy=  weighted_round_robin
In the SAP web interface, the prefered server is ALWAYS the same :
    Status of Server Group "LOADIS"
    Loadbalancing Information
Number of Servers in this group 2
    Last used Server
    Preferred next Server server40_SPA_10
But it seems that the sap web dispatcher is not used at ALL.
The Load distribution is still based on the SMLG workload as it was the case, before, with the sap message server. The information displayed in the web interface (preferred server) is wrong.
The Preferred next Server is ALWAYS server40_SPA_10 (shown in the web interface), but, in fact, the http sessions are distributed between the two servers server60_SPA_00 and server40_SPA_10 depending on the server quality diplayed in transaction smlg. It was exactly the same behaviour we had before, only with the sap server message .
Any useful help would be highly appreciated.
    Best Regards.

    Hi,
firstly, have you checked note 1094342? What variant do you want to use? Do you terminate a SSL connection on web dispatcher and create a new one between web dispatcher and application server? It looks like the web dispatcher can't verify SSL certificate used by application server. Maybe you've already tried this but you can try to turn off SSL between dispatcher and application server. If this setup works then problem is in SSL connection. You can check what host name is used in SSL certificate and what host name is used by dispatcher. You can use parameter wdisp/ssl_certhost which sets host name which will be used for certificate validation.
    Cheers

if you don't have a version higher or equal to 2.1(2) for the SSLM, you are probably hitting bug

SSL Module invalidate a source IP address using local mask
It looks like it works except for some ip addresses and therefore the bug mentioned above seems like a good match.

  • FMS proxying HTTP does not close sockets correctly?

    Hi,
So, after waiting for a while, we decided to upgrade our streamers to FMS 3.5.3 and set them up to proxy HTTP requests to a lighttpd server instead of the "built in" Apache. With the previous version 3.5 of FMS, we had problems of FMS hanging up after a while and stopping relaying requests, generally a few hours, even when it did not serve a lot of requests. With version 3.5.3, we had great hopes that this problem had disappeared as we had FMS running for more than a month on a test server. So we did the upgrade and we encounter another problem:
After less that one day of activity, our servers crashed for an unknown reason, almost at the same time. Analysing the logs, I saw out of memory messages, but how could two linux servers stop working in the same 5 minutes interval. I supposed there was a power failure of some sort. And I kept analysing because the sysadmins in the server room swore that they saw out of memory kernel panic on the consoles. After a bit of investigation, I found the reasons: the TCP connexions between FMS and the lighttpd server are stacking up and fill the OS network memory! Now, I don't know who is the culprit:
FMS code does not manage correctly HTTP proxy sessions?
lighttpd does not handle correctly HTTP proxying from FMS and does not close correctly the sessions?
Our Ubuntu linux network stack is not correctly configured to manage so many connexions?
Here are the details, any assistance is welcome!
The servers: linux Ubuntu 8.04 with 8 GB RAM.
FMS 3.5.3 proxying to lighttpd 1.4.19 listening on port 81. FMS and lighttpd are set up on the same server.
The streamer receives many (> 10/s) HTTP requests from iPhones which are proxied to lighttpd. iPhones request partial content and lighttpd is well suited for these type of requests.

The last red line can be visualised below; sometimes the server crashes in out of memory kernel panic...
And if you compare with previous behavior, you can tell when we did the upgrade to FMS 3.5.3...
A few words on our previous configuration with FMS 3.5. To be able to accept HTTP requests, we have a front load balancer which is able to route HTTP requests to lighttpd and RTMP requests to FMS. But with this configuration, we don't benefit from the ability of FMS to fallback to RTMPT for clients behind a proxy or proxy ol' HTTP requests... With the previous configuration, we never had so many connections active simultaneously: we change from 200 max to more than 7000 with FMS 3.5.3 in proxy!

I've tried changing lighttpd configuration to handle KeepAlive session or not, it has no influence on the behaviour.
If you spot a configuration mistake or have any idea, I'm ready to test it as soon as possible... Asa?
    Thanks

Has this been fixed? What was done?
We have been having the same issue. We worked on it with Adobe support and thought it might have been fixed with a "patched" version of FMS that was created to solve the problem. However, we still see the issue (recently we had a huge increase in load due to an annual event).
Over time, when we run netstat, we see Apache connections (127.0.0.1:88134) stuck in a FIN_WAIT_1 state while the corresponding FMS processes (127.0.0.1:1025 to 5000) are in an ESTABLISHED state. It appears as though the connection is closed from the http proxy side while FMS doesn't acknowledge the close.
We notice this behavior seems related to load. High load = connections getting hung more frequently. The only fix seems to be restarting the FMS service which restarts the embedded apache as well.
I'm curious if you found a fix or even a workaround to help you cope with these connections. Even something to close them periodically would be a huge help. So far, we're resorting to an automatic restart of the server ever 2 days which is hardly a proper production solution.
I would really appreciate any information you could provide with regards to your particular problem and whether or not it's been solved.
An example (just a snippet) of the netstat monitor we have running each hour on the half-hour:

This particular log shows all ports between 1024 and 5000 in the same state as above. A restart resets all the connections and the process starts over. From my investigation, Apache seems to be acting properly. It tries to be a 'good citizen' and issue a graceful close that goes unacknowledged by FMS. Unfortunately, Apache doesn't go back to check a connection it considers closed, so they connection remains half-closed.
Please, please let me know if you found anything out. Information on the web is scarce and I'm at my wit's end!

I had our DBA restarted our DB but the problem is not solved.
We had our DB upgraded a few weeks ago from 9i to 10.2.0.3.0. Similar apps built before the upgrade didn't/does not have this problem at or after the upgrade.
We have Application Express 2.2.1.00.04 and Report Builder 6.0.8.22.0.
Can anyone shed light in and help?
    Thanks!

  • While processing a message : Error HTTP 404: not found

    Hi gurus,
    I'm stuck on a File-XI-IDoc scenario.
Here is the message i get in the Message Tool Display:
Erreur lors de la transmission du message au point d'accès http://rchase12:53000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry via la connexion File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System. Motif : com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Received HTTP response code 404 : Not Found
It's in French but it it's like my url is not good. I read about the port that must be 80xx in place of 53000 is it true?? I can't find any information about it, in another place than some forum topics.
    Could anyone help me?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
u2022 404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs. Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
u2022 Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
u2022 If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
u2022 If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination.

  • Firefox can access HTTPS but not HTTP sites

    Hi,
All of a sudden last Friday afternoon I could not load any sites external to our corporate network over HTTP in firefox; HTTPS still works fine. Also IE doesn't have any problems.
So far I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, creating a new profile, disabling IPV6, disabling DNS prefetching and checking my firewall settings. I've also used wireshark to try and see what firefox is doing, but it seems that no traffic at all appears when an HTTP website is accessed, however accessing an HTTPS site does generate traffic.
We use Windows firewall with advanced security; I can't change much though because it is controlled by policy.
We also use McAfee for antivirus and Bluecoat for filtering; again I can't change anything here because they are either policy controlled or administered from elsewhere.
I think I can rule out Bluecoat as other PC's on our site can and still are using Firefox 4 to access the web.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Matthew Rose

Two different sites, one with .info and one with .net.  One works perfectly without issue and they each have similar settings in Server, however one only seems to want to work using https prefix.  The sites are both different and therefore needs to be accessed with http at this point.  The problem is when I go to http://example.info it takes me to http://example.net which is not what needs to be occuring.  This occurs internally and externally.  Before the move I did my server was doing DNS as well and those settings have not changed or been modified except when I had to change their outside static IPs.

    Hello Everybody,
    I have IDOC(sender) to WEBSERVICE(receiver) scenario.
Our server is XI System version "SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 PatchLevel 105424.313".  Webservice has generated in MS Sql Server 2005 and publish in MS IIS server.
I  downloaded webservice schema in external definitions. and i mapped with idoc fields. When i try to  Test Configuration in integration directory, everything is fine.
But when i test to scenario, it doesnt work. I checked logs in integration engine monitoring. I got
this error " com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 505 HTTP Version not supported"
does anyone have any idea for that error? what should I do for run the this scenario?
    Kind Regards,

You may first contact your receiver partner for the HTTP version they support. There is a mismatch somewhere.

We are not able to find out the issue please help us.
    Thanks,

    Yes Scoot,
i do understand that 1 hour is not sufficient to answer in forum but my situation is strange.
To take a wild stab in the dark - how do you define your links in the tab set? Are you linking to a page in the application or your own URL?
Kumar: I have linked to pages in Appication. In same appication rest of the TAB's are working fine with respective linked pages but only one TAB is not working, getting error.
URL is same for all pages/Tabs, i don't think URL is the issue here.
Please help me to get exact error so that i can resolve the issue my own. is there any possibilities to find out the errors in backend tables or elase files.

  • Spa3102 would not forward a voip call to pstn line

    Good morning.
I've done the implementation provided here http://community.linksys.com/t5/VoIP-Adapters/SPA-3102-and-softphone-to-
    make-calls-via-pstn-line/td-p/326390 .
It is a way to use for outgoing calls a given pstn line from anywhere I have internet (voip to pstn).
The spa3102 is connected to a router (with an active DHCP server and ip 192.168.1.1) from where it takes the internal
ip (192.168.1.3).On the same network is also a computer , connected to the router ( with ip 192.168.1.2). The spa3102
is set to bridge mode and thus inactivates the function of the router (on SPA3102), and it functions as a  simple
network device . I have  done port forwarding (from the router) to 192.168.1.3 (SPA3102) for the port 5061 (PSTN
LINE) ( but for 5060 for the LINE 1 also). I want to make calls from a voip softphone (x-lite 4) to the SPA 3102 and
this to forward the voip calls to PSTN line to which it is connected. In x-lite the SPA3102 is set as a proxy so that
i can type the phone number I want to call without being followed by the SPA3102's ip each time ( eg on  x-lite I
give call number 2101111111 instead of 2101111111 @ wanip: 5061 where wanip is the external ip of the router).
When x-lite is running on the computer that is on the same network with the SPA3102 everything works as expected. A
voip call is made from x-lite ( using as a proxy the wanip everytime, or even for test purposes the dyndns domain
that i set up for this reason), this call is passese PSTN line and the phone of the called party rings . At x-lite
    COMES indication "call established ".
The problem occurs when I do the same procedure from x-lite installed on a computer belonging to another network (
e.g. in another building with its own internet connection , own router, own computer , etc. ) . Always using the
wanip the x-lite makes the voip call to the SPA3102, writes "call established" ( meaning it connected to SPA3102) but
never routed the call to the called party ( the SPA3102 did not forward voip calls it receives to the PSTN line ) .
Trying to find what 's wrong I've tried to disable all firewalls (soft and hard from all involved machines ) . The
behavior is the same either the computer that makes the successful calls is connected to the network directly to the
router  or through the port "ethernet" on the SPA3102.
What is the difference in these two voip calls to the SPA3102 and the one  " triggers "  it to forward the call to
PSTN line and the other does not ?
Thanks now for any ideas you give .

The audio sound problem is more than likely also associated with the overall addressing problem initially encountered.  As you may know, using the sip protocol the sip signalling exchanges ip addresses to be used for both the sip signalling and the exchange of rtp sound packets.  In addition there is an exchange of port numbers to be used for the exchange of rtp sound packets.  The sound is exchanged by two separate streams of packets, one stream in each direction.  The result is an ip address and port number for the rtp packets flowing from the SPA3102 to the softphone and a different ip address and port number for the rtp packets flowing from the softphone to the SPA3102.
In your previous posting you mentioned that you "set the minimum  EXTernal rtp port at the sip tab".  Changing the "EXT RTP Port Min:" is an unusual change to make and in my opinion would only be made in special circumstances. Actually, I ran some tests and I'm not sure exactly what that setting does.  In my tests it didn't appear to affect the rtp port number used in a predictable manner.
The common changes to make for audio problems typically would be to setup a STUN server.  A STUN server is an external server that echos back to the initial sender the external ip address and port number that the STUN server received with the message received by the server.  This allows the sender (SPA3102 or softphone) to determine its external ip address and external port numbers for both the sip signalling and rtp packets.
A STUN server is commonly recommended to be setup with the following settings in the SPA3102:
    PSTN Line Tab:
    NAT Mapping Enable: Yes
    Sip Tab:
    Handle VIA received: yes
    Handle VIA rport: yes
    Insert VIA received: yes

The following web page has a list of "Public STUN Servers"

You are using CounterPath's XLite softphone.  stun.counterpath.net  is a STUN server on the list.
I see XLite also has a setting to use a STUN server on the "Topology" tab.

  • HTTP 404 NOT FOUND on Admin page

    Hi all,
I made a copy of our development database for testing purposes. I also reset the new environment to a different http port. However, when I try to access the admin area on the new apex front end I get a HTTP 404 NOT FOUND error. Both envronments are using EPG.
What am I still missing? Please advise.

The URL is correct since it worked on the oringinal database with port 8080.

  • Cisco OTV Vlan Not Forward Capable

    Hi All,
I am trying to setup OTV between two routers.
Using show otv adjacency I can see the other router with stat UP, But the VLAN I want to extend has NFC as its current state.
    # show otv vlan
OTV Extended VLANs and Edge Device State Information (* - AED)
    Legend:
(NA) - Non AED, (VD) - Vlan Disabled, (OD) - Overlay Down
(DH) - Delete Holddown, (HW) - HW: State Down
     (NFC) - Not Forward Capable
VLAN   Auth. Edge Device                     Vlan State                 Overlay
    1200                                         inactive(NFC)           Overlay1
I cannot find any documentation on this state and what it can be caused by.
Does someone know what can cause this state? What can I do to troubleshoot this?
    This is my current config:
    feature otv
    otv site-vlan 1508
    interface Overlay1
      otv join-interface port-channel2
      otv control-group 239.1.1.1
      otv data-group 232.1.1.0/28
      otv extend-vlan 1200
      no shutdown
    otv site-identifier 0x1508
Any help would be appreciated :)

    Hello Tim
    Brayton Hackworth had a similar post as yours, found here;
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3684179#3684179
Brayton is using the Mitel 5330 phones where the LLDP no longer fed VLAN information to the phone network. But, he reverted to use a DHCP server to provide the VLAN information.
Unfortunately, I (personally) cannot test any Mitel resources (since I don't have them) so my labs usually only consist of either 7900 series or SPA500/900 series phones.
    The best thing I can really recommend to you is to make a package of data consisting of;
    Topology which consists of;
    Modem type
    Router including IP
All devices including IP of switches
    Servers / relevant workstations
    # of attached devices and # of users on the LAN
Switch config file + show tech on a notepad
    Syslog output from the switch
    Working PCAP
    PCAP showing failure
PCAP legend showing what IP address are who (unless topology contains all IP)
Where the PCAP is taken from and method
We then can create a service request for you and pass it for review.

  • Using a proxy for http requests and forward

Hi. My company won't allow access to mail.yahoo.com and www.hotmail.com. However, I can get to my own web server on my Cable Modem at home. Can I use the proxy to accept the http connections and forward them to hotmail ...will this work? If not any other solutions?

Yes, that would work if you configure it as a reverse proxy.
IMHO proxy would be overhead for this. There's many freeware out this which is exactly designed for that, see
