X-fi X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Profile switching?

Hey outthere,
I use a X-fi Extreme Music and want to buy the Tatalty Champion. I have the following question.
For gaming I use the standard 3.5mm Jacks for Soundoutput an when I am watching movies or TV I use optical SPDIF output for Dolby Digital Sound.
Everytime I change between gaming and watching I have to change the Sound profile of Windows 7. So I have to go to Sound? and change the Output device.
The Fatalty Champion Card has 3 Buttons for Gaming mode and so on. Can I use these Buttons to change my Audio profile? So I can change instantly between analog Output and optical?

@Zingel986,
The Dolby Digital Li've (DDL ) should be included with the X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion sound card. It is also sold seperately for X-Fi XtremeMusic sound cards too. Please visit buy.soundblaster.com for more details.
Note: I am assuming you have a retail X-Fi XtremeMusic, I am not sure if the DDL pack works with an OEM model.

• Not detected: Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion and Windows 7

Hi!
i have a strange problem: my Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion Soundcard is not detected when I want to upgrade or download PowerDVD.
It shows up in the devices list as "SB X-FI" though - but this seems to be the incorrect name!?!?!
Also I can not set the SPDIF out options.
I can listen to MP3's via Winamp etc. But I can not set Dolby Digital vcia SPDIF with PowerDVD for example.
I am using the latest official drivers.
Some forums say it's a hardware problem and I should exchange the card. Is trhis true or can I change software settings?

Anyone answer ?

• X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series stopped working

6X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion Series stopped working Hey guys!
After a totaly normal reboot, my X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Pro/Champion suddenly stopped working....
No sound and the led ont the side of the card also is black(same for the front panel) while the optical out still seems to be working.
Its still displayed as Creative sb xfi in the device manager but the main output device is shown as Internal AUX-socket in the sound options dialog (while the spdif-out seems to be ok)

• Right channel noise - x-fi titanium fatal1ty champion

Hi everyone!
I recently bought a SB X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion sound card to replace my old Audigy (st edition) in order to be up to date with the rest of my system.
Since the very first installation of the card I've been experiencing many problems. At first, my bad, I forgot to completely uninstall my previous Audigy drivers (I was running Vista x64) and the result was quite of a mess. I then performed a deep cleaning with no cards connected at all and tried again with the packed drivers. At this time things seemed to had gone for the right way except for the front panel, which it was dead. So I decided to try with more recent drivers and dowloaded the last available (released in the end of august I think). Again, everything seemed to be fine at this time: sound was greate, front panel was working...just amazing. But suddenly the card just stopped working. No sound at all. Completely mute. The software features where working properly, windows eq was showing output but no way: both my speakers and headphones were mute. At this time I just tried several times to remove drivers, physically remove the card, disconnect the front panel but still no way. Once I was able (during one of my many attempts to reinstall the packed drivers) to get sound back. I was kinda excited but actually it's been since then that my right channel stopped working properly. Again, I tried very many cleanups, uninstalls and stuff but with no luck. Eventually I decided to format and to try out windows 7. Guess what? Just installed the web drivers and, yes, my right channel doesn't work.
So my problem now is the same: speakers config, card config and whatever are working good but anytime right channel is activated (wich means always when a sound is being played) I hear a noise just from the right speakers with a very low sound. The strange thing is that left channel and sub+central are working great, no noise, clean sound. It's just the right. Nothing changes switching to headphones.
Now, I've tried to solve the problem myself reading your kbs but no luck. I've noticed that this cards are having noise problems with nVidia chipsets..but this is not my case. Here's my system specs:
Abit AX78 (AM2 chipset)
AMD Phenom II x4 940
4xgb corsair dominator @ 066MHz
Gigabyte HD4850 OC GB GDDR3
2x500GB WD SATAII
Windows 7 (clean install after format)
Oh, I forgot to mention that with windows drivers sound's working good but no enhancements at all...so, where's the point in using them?
At this time I almost hope it is card's fault and not driver's..at least the card can be replaced.
Do you guys have any ideas? Please let me know... I definetly can't li've without audio on my pc!!
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
alex

Hi again!
I've just made a progress in understanding the problem (or at least I hope so). After trying many different settings i found out that my card is working fine in "Audio Creation Mode" only. In "Entertainment Mode" there's the right channel problem while in "Game Mode" there's just noise, totally inaudible!
Unluckily in Audio Creation Mode I cannot use the CMSS function so that my 5. system is useless for music playback. Seems like it is a driver problem though, doesn't it's

• Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series and Win 7 64Bit

Now that Win 7 SP is out, i am planning on moving over to the Win 7 64Bit OS.
Whats the best way to setup Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion Series card software setup.
Is there a DVD i could download or be sent for Win 7.
Whats the best way to proceed...
Thanks
red

OK I got it!!
I put in a Price Alert at the egg and got it for 09.00/with FREE shipping so I'm stoked!! it DOES have a yellow sticker on the box that says "works with Windows 7" so I guess this is all I need.
Are there ANY suggestions on how to go about installing this in Windows 7 64bit, I want the front panel to work and will use it for movies music and mostly gaming.
what about Windows 7 installing the card as a standard sound device at boot, is there a way to prevent this if not how is this fixed?
Should I use the newest beta drivers? or wait till I see if I have any problems with the sound not working?
what about the user made drivers I have seen around these forums, I know they are most likely not supported but how about functionality? would they be better?
thanks for any suggestions.

• Issue activating DDL on XFi titanium Fatal1ty Champions

Hello there,
I've just bought a brand new XFi titanium Fatalty Championship.
Everything went fine?during the installation,
I was happy to download the latests patches from the 23rd of october right after the installation,
I successfully activated my DDL licence over the web ...
but?there is no? "Encoder" tab on configuration panel,
and of course no Dolby Digital or DTS options are available in the consoles.
I tried to uninstall everything, then I reinstalled everything, same issue.
When I run the DDL?licence?activation program,?I have a marvellous?blue?window saying ?that my activation is ok, but there is no impact in my console or configuration panel.
Did someone face the same issue ?May be I missed something important ?
Thanks for your help?!
My configuration is :
Windows Vista 32, Service Pack installed
Intel Dual Core 6600

Hi there, thanks for your answer, but sadly, Dolby Digital option do not appear in audio console entertainement mode. This is my problem actually. If I understand well, this option only appear if you have activated the Dolby Digital License, and my problem is : all the things which should appear when DDL is activated are not displayed. I triple checked my DDL activation : it's ok on this side. Hope my problem is more clear now -- sorry for my porr english, it's not my nati've langage -- Regards

• [ X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion] Output front and back, just one source

Hey!
I searched in every thread, but I couldn't find an answer.
I've a headset on front panel and speakers on the back. When I play a sound, I want to hear it on speakers and headset. I found out, that it is impossible if there are two sources, but one source is possible, right?
Where can I configure that?

Hmm, always the same: I'm desperate, registrate in forums and write a post. Short time after that, I found the solution.
SB Audio Config -> Headset - options (just have it in german language) and uncheck "Mute speakers automatically" (or similar).

Sorry if you have already done this, please make sure you have removed all previous sound card related drivers and software before you reinstall. Put the system in a clean boot state before reinstalling to make sure that you have no background applications running during the installation.

• Question Re: SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series I/O Pa

I am looking at getting this particular sound card for my massi've gaming computer and before I can i need one question answered I was wondering if anyone can give me the approximate length of the cables that come from the PCI-e card to the front I/O Panel.

In my case, I need cables at least 20 to 22 inches long. I asked Creative and they told me 2 meters (aprox 76 inches) and that does not sound even remotely close. If anyone has the accurate size that would help me the most

• Titanium Fatal1ty Pro product numbers?

I've discovered this, and I am honestly quite confused.
On Creative's official store, the Titanium Fatal1ty Pro has the SKU 70SB088600002 . Looking at my own local stores, I see a very similar code (70SB088600000), where the only difference is the last digit being 0 instead of 2. That's not all though. Some retailers also have the quite different code of 30SB088600000 . That's three SKUs, apparently for the same product. Nothing indicates that either is the champion edition (the package including a front bay). Do these differ somehow?

You can use the product page on the online store as a reference to make sure that you are not missing anything. If you are buying from an online reseller, you might want to sure they are authorised & trustworthy retailers.

• Fatal1ty Champion Front Panel I/O Issue

'Fatalty Champion Front Panel I/O Issue I just purchased a Creative PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion Series Sound Card. I have installed the card and front panel into my system with the latest drivers.
I am unable to get the front panel to work (the soundcard works fine). It has no lights, volume does not work and the mode selection does not work, in fact the only thing that works are my headphones. When I plug in my headphones my speakers mute and I get sound in my headphones. I have disconnected all connections and reconnected them ensure they are fully seated. I have reseated my card as well.

• MSI x58 PRO-E SLI+Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro

Im thinking of buying a Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro for some better sound, problem is that I cant see if this is gonna fit in the top PCI-E slot because of the cooling block there.
Does anyone know if this will fit or not?
here is a pic of my current setup:
http://twitpic.com/1zvxnz

You asked if it would fit the other slot and I said it would, if the heatsink does in fact prevent you from using that slot then you can use any other available PCIe slot. A 1x PCIe card will work in any PCIe slot no matter what size the slot is.
I took a look at the pictures shot from an angle at MSI website and it does look as if it may not fit there. I also noticed that on the 1156 MB that the same HS on them have very short fins in line with that slot, makes me wonder why the 1366 MB HS is not like that.
I assume you don't have or can't borrow a card from family or friend to just test for fit in that slot?
