X6 - flashing envelope at top right of screen?

Have a new X6 and I have a constantly flashing envelope on top right hand side of screen. Think it might be a notification that the SIM is full. If that is correct how do I deal with it please? If I am not correct what does this symbol mean please?

Try going to messaging-options-settings-other-select memory in use to E mass memory or F memory card ! Should stop your flashing envelope for good

  • Blue Envelope Icon (Top Right of Screen)

I've had this blue envelope icon on the top right of my screen with the red star in middle (indicating a new unread item). I have marked all my emails in the inbox as read and have (accidentally) deleted all my calendar items from both Outlook and on the Blackberry itself.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this icon?
    Thanks!

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

  • USB mouse to top right of screen = Mission Control!!

It's really quite frustrating!  Whenever I move my USB mouse towards the top right of the screen, Mission Control opens.
I am often trying to open another tab in my Internet browser and every time I go to do it (mouse to top right of screen) the desktop shrinks and Mission Control opens.  It seems to me to be like 'Gestures' that you can get with a Magic Mouse or a Trackpad but I use neither!
Is there a way to disable this?  I've searched in all aspects of System Preferences but with no joy.

    Your welcome!
You should also change your ASC profile to 10.8.5 instead of 10.6.2

  • HT4199 In the middle of using wi-fi on my Mac Book Pro, I lost contact. When I click onto the empty wi-fi icon, top right of screen I get the message Wi-Fi: No hardware installed. Any clues anyone?

In the middle of using wi-fi on my MacBook Pro, I lost contact. No other apple devices (iMac, iPhone or iPad) are affected. When I click on the empty wi-fi icon (top right of the screen) it gives the message: Wi-Fi: No hardware installed. has anyone any clues?

Wi-Fi: No hardware installed. has anyone any clues?
Unfortunately, this message is almost always an indication that the internal AirPort card on the Mac has failed and will need to be replaced. This is a job for repair shop.
If you have a recent Mac, a Hardware Test may reveal this as well:

  • In an album, many pictures would show on the screen and double clicking one would enlarge it for adjustments. Now one larger photo shows and along the bottom severa smaller ones. Options which used to be at the top right of screen no longer show. Whel

In Aperture album about 16 photos would show on screen and double clicking on one would enlarge it for adjustments. Now one larger image shows with about 7 photos at bottom. Options for controlling this no longer appear at top right. How do I correct this?

Do you mean the "View" controls are missing in your Toolbar?
To add these controls back to the Toolbar, use the View menu and select "Customize Toolbar". Drag the View Controls back to the Toolbar.

  • Acrobat X page shows small page image at top right of screen. Need to remove

Acrobat X on Windows 8.1.  Recently Acrobat has started showing a small representation of the current page at the top right of the screen. I don't need this and would like to kill it permanently in all files. For example apart from blocking some text, it prevents me deleting a page unless I x it off. I have looked through all menus and searched on-line. Help appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi jonrichco,
This representation appears while scrolling up/down a PDF file. You can just close it by clicking at the 'cross' mark on the right side of this small window.

  • Adium Question (I think!) - Flag in top right of screen

    Hi,
I was playing around trying to change my settings in Adium, and somehow managed to get a "flag" icon to appear in the top right bar of my screen (next to the volume/time/battery indicators). I think it came from Adium, but I'm not 100% sure!
If I click on the "flag" I have various options to do with showing a character palette.
Any ideas how to get rid of this?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi
System Preferences > International > Input Menu tab
at the bottom is a clickbox "Show input menu in menu bar" - uncheck it.
BTW i happen to like this menu up there - it makes it quick & easy to 'Show Keyboard Viewer' - which is the equivalent to 'Key Caps' from the old days (i.e. show what characters from a given font are mapped to what keyboard key combinations)...
    cheers

  • Numbers at top right of screen

I installed the latest versions of quicktime/itunes (as of 7-2008) and whenever i view any video on either program, i get a two digit counter at the top right hand side of the screen which changes from yellow to red periodically and seems to count at random. I uninstalled itunes and upgraded quicktime to 7 pro but the thing is still there. it's even there when i play the PC game "WALL-E", which i assume must be because it uses quicktime for the movie sequences. How do I get rid of the **** thing?

I've never heard of this happing...you might have more (the computer) wrong than meets the eye.

  • Airport icon in top right of screen

my airporst icon in the top right of the screen has disappeared. any suggestions on how to bring it back?
Was it removed in an update or something sinister like that?

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, enter /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/ and open it from there; there may also be a checkbox to display it in the Network pane of System Preferences.

    Solved!

Flashing envelope could be caused by
    1. You may just have an unread SMS from your last phone that is still saved on your SIM card. To check, goto Messaging>Options>SIM messages.
    2. SIM card's message memory is full. Delete messages from the SIM card. Goto Messaging>Options>SIM messages
    3. Phones messaging memory is full. Try deleting messages, also checking in, Sent and drafts.
    4. Even though all your messages may be marked as read, just going down through the list and opening them all again one by one have also been known to resolve this issue. This could take some time but is worth a try if you do not want to delete any messages.

  • Brand new iPhone 4 top-right hand screen hangs!!!

I hav jus got an iPhone 4 and has been using it for the past 3 days. There is one problem which I hav noticed, that is my top right screen got hang in some applications like message, Facebook and whatsapp or even notes. I am unable to press e.g write message icon, or refresh the most recent, top news icon... Anyone got any suggestion to resolve? I hav tried to do a double hard reset but no avail... To go back for 1-to-1 replacement is the last thing which I want to do as the replacement set will affect the reselling price of the iPhone as experienced buyer can tell the difference between brand new and replacement set.

i got the phone off of ebay, the guy was a trusted seller 100% feedback and sold loads of them with no complaints. he said if i go to the apple store because its brand new they would replace it but i am not sure they will. is there any other way to prove that its sim free or on a fixed network?
    thanks

  • Is there any way to turn off the distracting flashing at the top of the screen when hotspot is in use?

When hotspot is in use, a message near the top of the screen on the iphone says "Personal Hotspot: 1 Connection".  New in IOS 7.1 is that this message repeatedly fades in and out (about once per second) rather than remaining fixed, and it creates a distraction while one is using the phone.  Not sure how other people feel, but it literally makes me (slightly) nauseas to have it continually wax and wane.  In 7.0.3 the message was fixed - it did not fade in and out.
Under Settings->General->Accessibility I have already set "Reduce Motion" on.  I would think that would be the place to disable such repeated patterns.

You could try a reboot:  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad should restart.  If that doesn't get rid of the volume control box on your screen, it's time to make an appointment with the Genius Bar at your Apple Store, and they can send your iPad off for service.
