X6 internal battery problem

I have a X6 16gb. The problem is when i remove the battery to change simcard, the date and clock will have to be resetted. I do own Nokia 5800 and this sort of problem never happen.
After some Googling, i found out that the internal battery(aux battery) maybe have been spoiled.
If i send my X6 to Nokia Care Centre, will they charged me some fee? The unit is still under warranty by Zitron..Thx..

@fwhoam - this subject pops up every now and then (there are some other threads where this is mentioned as well) and the fact is that there is no back up battery in X6 (any of the three models; 32GB, 16GB and 8GB). We've verified this with X6 development (R&D) team and there is also FAQ about this.

    Hi,
There is a solved thread on this page about this error. The solution is to replace the battery because its storage capacity is low. The right part number can be found in a maintenance and service guide. Go to Support and Drivers page, enter your model and look in User Guides section.

  • Battery problems - with no usable Apple support nearby

    Hi all,
Over the past few weeks, my MBP (2.2 SR MBP) has been turning itself off completely whenever the battery power drops to about 45-50% of capacity. There are still three (or sometimes four) lights showing on the bottom of the battery in these cases, but there just doesn't seem to be enough power left to restart the machine. Only if I plug in the AC adaptor I can restart normally, whereupon the on-screen battery meter still shows around a half of full charge. However, if I unplug the power adaptor, the computer will shut down completely again within a couple of minutes. My cycle count is currently at 54 and my battery health usually shows at around 96-100%
I am currently running Leopard 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 (just updated) with all the latest updates. Another problem is that Apple's local services provider in my area is not very nice, they usually turn your beautiful machines into a mess -.- (i had experiences). Is there any other way around ?
    Thanks a lot,

This is indeed very strange, Nguyen. Your battery seems to be in excellent health according to the figures you cite, though it is a little strange that it indicates that the battery is not fully charged when it certainly appears to be. Usually when problems of the kind you mention occur the numbers indicate that the battery has a heavily reduced full charge capacity.
It may be a good idea to try resetting the SMC - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1894
It would also be interesting to see what the relevant "System profiler" results are when the battery is partially discharged, close to the point where you find it shuts down unexpectedly. If the "full charge capacity" especially varies significantly it may indicate an internal battery problem.
Finally you might try checking the actual battery connection terminals. Remove the battery and make sure that both the contacts on the battery and the computer are clean and undamaged. You could clean them with a little isopropyl alcohol if necessary.
If none of these suggestions help at all, then it may be that your MacBook Pro has an internal problem causing excessive current demand - perhaps an internal short circuit of some kind?
You may end up having no alternative other than seeking hardware repair from an authorised Apple dealer, I'm afraid. Is the computer covered by warranty or an AppleCare agreement?
    Good luck

  • Internal battery

I have a message that says I have internal battery problems. how do I fix this? or do i have to buy a new computer?  I have a Compaq Presario CQ62.

Can you reproduce the entire message? Here is the Service Manual. The internal or RTC battery unfortunately is on the motherboard and is not easy to get to. However, it is a very inexpensive part to replace.

See page 79. Can you otherwise boot the system to Windows? Does the computer keep correct time?

  • My ipod touch 4th generation no longer holds it's charge for more than 40mins,needs new internal battery but I have no idea how to go about this. i love my ipod and don't want it to loose power completely, can anyone help?

My ipod touch 4th generation no longer holds it's charge for more than 40mins from full power, think it needs a new internal battery but have no idea how to go about this and am no longer covered by my guarantee. Can anyone advise me on what's best? Thanks in advance

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use an Apple wall-mount charger.  Do NOT use a computer's USB port.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.
    According to Apple:
    Use Your iPod Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

    - What battery is this message referring to (the "internal" bit leads me to believe it's the CMOS batttery but would like to be sure)?
    - If this is referring to the CMOS battery, and what is the part number?

    Hi,
The error message is a bit misleading as I believe it refers to your notebooks main battery.  One way to confirm this would be to download and run the stand-alone battery test utility available on the page below and see if this reports any problems with your battery.

  • Primary Internal Battery needs to be replace?????????

Ok so it comes up saying Primary internal battery 601???? but my notbook is like 2 years old how can the battery be dead? can some plz help me out heres he info on my notbook its a hp pavilion dv7 plz any help would be great

Yes, mine has been saying the same thing for a little while also.  It's also a little over two years old.  I like HP, but their parts are wearing out quickly.  Best Buy tried to tell me my motherboard needed replaced last year for $900 - I left it alone until it started acting up again this year, and it's a $10 inverter that is causing the problem.  I have no idea about this primary internal battery yet - I'll be doing some more looking to resolve this for myself as well.

    Hello everyone:
My HP Pavillion DV6 seems to have some sort of battery problem as it says Error -  hp internal battery 601 on boot up! The laptop is just over year old and out of HP warranty!
I'd like to know if HP can provide/sell this part to me.. Cost? and how can I replace it?
Also, can I get this battery locally or is it a custom battery manufactured by HP only?
Thanks in advance for all the help and suggestions.

It's just referring to the battery.  Replace it and the error message will go away.  You can buy the battery here

  • What would cause this battery problem?

There is a macbook air I am considering buying if the price is right and it is said to have this problem "The internal battery says that it is charging but when the AC power adapter is unplugged the unit shuts down and will not power back on until the AC power adapter is plugged back in." Any idea what would cause this to happen? Thanks!

    Hi Ty,
It could be a couple of different things, the first assumption is that it's the battery. If you go to System Profiler and go under the power menu selection does it recognize the battery? What are the statistics on that battery?
It's also possible that the cable which connects the battery to the logic board is the point of failure. Due to the way that the MBA is manufacturer you'll be unable to proceed with "troubleshooting" this and the machine will require service.
You can however, try resetting the SMC and see if that changes anything.

  • Internal battery for keeping date, time, etc.

    Hi,
I am new to these discussions because up until this last year, my 2005 iBook G4 has had no problems. Currently, I have two issues going on. 1) The first I noticed was that the date and time had to be reset at start-up (warning message) 2) Then a grey box started coming up repeatedly telling me I had to restart computer. When I turned off Airport Extreme, this finally stopped, but now I can't get online with it. I know that Airport needs to be replaced, which is a big process I don't want to attempt at this point. The most I have done internally with a laptop has been to install additional memory. How difficult is it to replace the internal battery that keeps the date and time? Where is this battery located? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
    Terri

    Hey hs,
So you have a 1.33 or 1.42 GHz machine?
If this is your machine the Airport card is a combo Airport Extreme/BlueTooth card and is internal. It can actually be swapped out but you have to know what you're doing.
    So like Lyssa says "dongle".
Real time settings are kept in PMU and settings are held via a super capacitor ( typically 2.2 Farads) in a no power situation. This cap will hold settings for around 30 seconds. Lon enough for you to change a battery.

  • SQL connection error ( probably ) due to Internal battery changed?

    Hi
We have an application written in C# 2005 that use an Sql Server 2005 database with Windows authentication mode
Our customer with Windows XP sp3 used our software for a long time without any problem but he needs to change the PC internal battery and after this operation the application is not able to connect with database. I tried to uninstall all SQL server componets

  • Macbook internal battery frozen - how to reset?

    Hi all,
I have here a late model macbook with an internal battery - it seems to have frozen on startup, the screen is just white. I've tried holding the power button down for 10 seconds, but it doesn't reset. Even if I close the screen, the backlight for the display remains lit. I'm sort of stuck trying to figure out how to reset this thing, in normal cases I would remove the battery but obviously its not possible in this case.
If anyone can advise where to go from here it would be appreciated. Otherwise I'm guessing I just need to leave it to one side until the battery finally drains.
    Thanks
    Sam

Hi Dave, thanks for your reply.
The problem is that I can't get to the initial boot phase to reset the SMC, as the macbook had frozen with a white screen after starting - i.e. it was running and I had no way of rebooting it (as mentioned, holding down the power button had no effect). I left it at the office overnight so the battery should be well and truly drained by now, I'm hoping I'll be able to plug in the power and reset the SMC as you suggest.
