XAV 710HD Album info Through USB

ive owned my 701HD since it was 1rst purchaseable, I Love it, it meets my Car audio needs and some. But my only problem is using USB for music, certain albums wont have the tracks in order or show album art, i use Media Go to manage my music for the radio, and in the Media Go program all feilds are filled out and have albums art. But certain albums will show a colored square and have the track list mixed around when displayed on radio.

Please make sure that your XAV-701HD car stereo is up-to-date with the software version JR08_xav_1.13.003 or higher.
Also, I need more information about this issue:
What USB device are you using? If you're using a Walkman player, please provide the complete model number of it.
What's the display mode of the car stereo when playing the USB?

  • Seeing Album Info While Song is Playing?

Does anyone know if there is a way to view the album info, for a song, while it is playing on the ipod mini?
    Thanks
    Dennis

    Hey, thanks for replying!
I think it's data triggering, and I've a MIDI USB powered A-800 pro plugged in. I have the MIDI set up as a buzz synth or something, and I inserted a song from itunes to play, and the song worked well, but while the song was playing, I can't play through the MIDI..well I can, but it's just really laggy. So I was searching through the settings, and I clicked "reduce MIDI data transmission" or something, and then the MIDI controller worked perfectly, but then the song wouldn't play at all. I really have no idea why its not working. I may have, while I was searching, clicked something that messed it up. And just to reiterate, if it's important, I saw to circles overlapping each other (like a venn diagram) next to the song title.

  • Ipod will only mount through USB

could anyone please tell me why my ipod will only mount and update with the USB cable, and not the firewire as it used to. it won't mount on the desktop or the new laptop (c/w Tiger) this way but seems fine through USB. Is using the USB a one way road?

... not sure. I have had trouble before. Turned out to be a "bad" firewire port. Others have reported that switching Firewire cables helped.
We can either try to figure it out ... or we could suggest uyou just reset everything. The latter is often easier.
This is in order of difficulty, I think:
    1. Reset several times - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705
    2. Check the iPod directory - with your ipod disconnected, open iTunes and set the iPod preference tab to Manual. Quit iTunes, connect your iPod, and if iTunes opens, quit it again. Open Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities folder). iPod should show up in list of drives on the left. Select the iPod and click "Repair".
    3. Delete the iPodDriver.kext file:http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61937
    4. Since you have a back-up of your music, open Updater and Restore your iPod - this will reformat it so your music (on the iPod) will be lost. It will be replaced when you resync it with iTunes.
    5. Reset your USB and Firewire ports - you might run a check to see if you get the same behavior using a different port. To reset the ports, go here:
    http://discussions.info.apple.com/webx?7@@.68bb75ef/0
One of those should do it.

  • Issues playing video through USB on 58M9363D 4k TV

    Hi there,
I recently purchased the 4k 58M9363D and I am loving it so far. However I do have some serious issues with playing video from both USB and through my pc. They do ruin the experience at the moment and hopefully they can be fixed. So here goes!
Whenever I try to play a mp4 file through USB it says format is not supported, this is especially painful when all 4k content I could find seems to be in the mp4 format.
Another issue I get is with playing 3D movies from usb.
Sometimes they play perfectly fine but often I get strange long lines at the bottom of the screen, making is unwatchable.
It doesn't seem to be a format issue as I tried mostly mkv files that work half the time and the other half I get the same distorted screen.
Lastly, I can't seem to play 3D movies from my pc.
When I turn on a SBS video and press the 3d button on the remote I just get a double SBS screen that looks converted from 2D to 3D, instead of them merging into a single actual 3D image.
Can anyone tell me how to fix these issues?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
    Regarding the USB playback:
In Toshiba M8365 user manual (page 94/95) you can find the details about the supported media format, video codec, file extension, etc
    http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/M8365-405058-English.pdf
The MP4 media format is definitely supported.
The following video codecs in connection with mp4 file format should be used: H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC) or MPEG-4 part12,14
Regarding the 3D support (over HDMI):
Take a look on page 96. There you can find info about the supported 3D resolution, aspect ratio and 3D structure (Side by Side (Half), Side by Side (Full), Top and Bottom)
The possible 3D structure depends on the movie resolution.

  • Is ID3 ALBUM info needed to fetch album artwork?

To get the album artwork for a specific MP3 song, do you need to have album info populated on the ID3 tag? My whole MP3 collection has ID3 tags that have empty album info. I only have Artist and Song Title infos in my ID3 tags. My intent is that with the new view options in iTunes 7, I'd like to see album artwork on the album view (just like as though you are browsing through a whole CD stash) Can someone help?

I understand that not only do you need that ID3 info already BUT it also needs to match the info held on the iTunes store.
So for downloaded purchased music from iTunes this is easy, but if your info came from somewhere else ( is suspect that even the CDDB info is different) then you may not get your cover art. I do not know which fields need to be exactly the same.
Suggest using the alternative art gathering mechanisms since the are more flexible and integrate the art within the ID3 track labels. The only advantage i can see for this option in iTunes is that it stores the art once per album in a non-standard way which saves space on your computer.

  • My new mac mini does not see usb drives, but in hardware info the usb is visible

my new mac mini does not see usb drives, but in hardware info the usb is visible
i'tried several usb flash drives even brand new ones, they are visible onder hardware info but they are not on the desktop nor in the finder.
what is wrong and doe anyone has a solution ?

It does not show up in disk utility, its only visible through systeminformation.
When you plug in the USB flash drive and then refresh systeminformation it becomes visible.
To remove it I shut down the computer because I cannot eject the USB device anywhere.
After starting up again when I have removed the flash drive it has gone from the systeminfo USB list.
By the way my USB mouse and keyboard are working fine, I also changed ports of these and they still keep on working so I don't think the USB ports are defect.
I guess it some kind software problem, and because I'm new to Apple I do not know much about it how to solve this.

Hi my computer will not recognize my Pearl 8100 through USB connection and my computer is a little older so it doesn't have Bluetooth to try that. I've read some of the info from others having similar problems and I have checked my cable which is fine and have tried using a USB slot on the back of my computer rather than a USB hub to no avail. Any other ideas?

  • LE8 not recognizing my Fantom x6 through usb

So, I have installed the necessary drivers and put my fantom x6 to midi mode, but when I plug in through usb, logic does not recognize it.
I want to be able to play logic's software instruments from my fantom (using it as a midi controller). I thought this was possible through usb. Is it the fantom?
I previously had a an m-audio keystation 49e that I plugged in and worked right away, but I'm very confused and frustrated with this fantom setup (or lack thereof).
Also, follow up question: Could someone explain what multi-channel instrument means? What qualifies as one, what would be a single channel instrument? I'm new to some of the lingo.

I couldn't find any info on the hub, but it's this one:

Does anybody know how to get this device recognized, and secondly, how to mount the HD?
    thanks!
    rogier

I got a bit further! whohoo! and how:
    1) I read somewhere that I had to upload new firmware to the device, after that, Linux would be able to acces the HD through the USB.
    2) flashing theh firmware was only possible on a win98 or me computer (xp didnt work). So I had to find a win98 comp (impossible), or install windows 98.
    3) better install win98 then. but then I needed to have an empty HD, which I didnt have... so
    4) I backup a small old HD to another HD, and then to format it
    5) copied all the files from the win98 cd using 2 different readers, since the cd was too scratched
    6) finally installed win98, and flashed the firmware...
That took me about 3 hours...
and now I am a bit closer to my goal: accessing my old HD through usb.
after the flashing, my device just became something else: output of /proc/bus/usb/devices:

I was using mobile internet on my pc through usb tether. I have a xp system and I connect through use cable. I downloaded PdaNet+ usb tether driver and it was working fine for a couple of days. But now it is not working and I can't even re-install it. Can anyone tell me the other option to install usb tether driver on xp system.

Not possible. The USB connection only allows for data transfer between the computer and the device, it cannot function as a gateway to the Internet.

    Hi all,
I want to make a DAQ card using pic 18 microcontroller which has a built-in usb protocol. I have the firmware of this
controller which will  make it as a usb device. How can i receive the analog voltages from this DAQ card in Labview? or i mean to say that how i can communicate labview with the Pic 18 microcontroller through usb port? I have also the

Which labview version do you have. Up to labview 7.1 it was no USB raw communication options. I have heard it did not work well in 7.1, but from 8.x most of the errors were fixed.

You need to turn on Printer Sharing on both the PC and OS X. I can't help you on Vista but in OS X it's System Preferences - Sharing - check the Printer Sharing box.

  • Hard Drive not detected through SATA, but it is through USB.

This week my hard drive seemed to crash, I got the file with the question mark and it wouldn't show up in disk utility. I went out and bought a new hard drive, popped it in and it too doesn't show up. I put my old hard drive in an enclosure and plugged it in through USB, and my macbook starts up just fine that way. What could be the problem?

Not common but I've seen it happen more than once so I wouldn't be surprised if that is what's going on with your computer.
