Xerox document centre 425 error message

I have successfully printed for a number of years to a Xerox DocuCentre 425 from one of the Mac's in my office using the Internet Print Protocol and OS X 10.4 and earlier. I have a wired ethernet. I have used the Xerox drivers. I bought a new iMac and tried to set up to print to the 425 and have tried multiple settings but always get the following error message- "Unable to get printer status (client-error-bad-request)!" Can anyone help?

I've had the same problem with a Xerox Document Centre 432 ST for well over a year. Wired ethernet; checked for correct IP address; CentreWare is, well…baffling. Even with Tiger we could not coax our Macs (G5 PowerMac and G4 PowerBook) to print reliably to the Xerox MFP. With Leopard, we're seeing the identical message––"Unable to get printer status (client-error-bad-request)!"
I'm going to try reinstalling the old Xerox drivers, including the PostScript driver, but there's no guarantee they'll work with Leopard. Our dealer's response: "Try a newer machine." Will be grateful for any suggestions.

    Gday, I currently have an issue with several macs, running 10.3.9.
    It happens in all apps, when our clients change the selected printer, from any printer to the Xerox Document Centre C450, there is a 15 second delay in this change happening.
    Permissions have been done, all systems have been diagnosed with no problems. Happens with local users and well as network users. Printer drivers have been updated.
    On the PCs its fine, the change it seemless.
    What could be the issue ? I can ping the printer with no problems. Its not the network, everything else is fine !!

    Some of your user files (not system files) have incorrect permissions or are locked. This procedure will unlock those files and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
    If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
    Enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (triple-click, copy, and paste):

    You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
    Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
    Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
    from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:

    Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:

    I encounter a problem on a windows XP laptop using acrobat 11.0.09.
    When i try to open a .pdf document i get an windows error message.
    The document open well else, but i get persistent windows error message then, and i get them even if i close this document.

    I try to uninstall / reinstall acrobat without change, this error message still stay when i open a pdf document.

    I solve my problem :
    1- chkdsk /f to test the disk => nothing particular
    2- I use defraggler to defrag the harddrive ( was very fragmented)
    I thing this two step doesn't change anything.
    3- then i use Adobe Reader Acrobat Cleaner Tool and restart laptop
    4- Reinstall Adobe Reader.
    5- I just let reader11.0 folder in c:\program files\Adobe and delete other old reader folder.
    6- did same in c:\documents and settings\%username%\application data\adobe\acrobat\
    seems to work know
    will survey to be sure and back to confirm

    Hi Experts:
    In CRM 4.0 - WinClient, we are getting error message CRM_ORDER000 "Document not found".
    The error occurs when the agent creates two sales orders for the same client. She does not save the first order with Saving bottom (F ), but presses directly the quick link to create a new sales order.
    A pop-upp apears with the question: Do you want to save transaction Telesales? The agent confirms this. Later she is not able to save the second order because of the error message  CRM_ORDER000 "Document not found".
    We have found note 856954 but we have already the relevant support package.
    Any idea what this could be?

  • Document Lock Entry Error Message

    Hello,
    I have an SAP EP 6.0, SRM4.0/EBP 5.0 system landscape. The shopping cart is used for document approvals as a workaround.
    However, when a user clicks on the shopping cart document in the SAP Business Workplace Inbox, and tries to return to the initial page, using the "Back to Approval" link, a message is displayed saying
    "the <user> is already processing the document>".
    The SAP Notes 888306 and 751884 have been applied as recommended by SAP, but the error still continues.
    I would appreciate any suggestions that will resolve this issue.

  • DESPERATE FOR HELP since downloading a separate outlook (from fast hosts) as addition to office mac 11 I can no longer access any Microsoft aps or documents including outlook - error messages 'can not change to identity for outlook'

    I had office 2011 installed on my computer without outlook - been working fine.
    I was given a trial of outlook decided against it at time due to cost - however my server provider fasthost have been offering outlook for free with a busines mail package. Trying to install it wouldn't due to the trail versions - so they gave me a step by step guide to remove outlook files.
    Once i completed this the new outlook worked fine for 24 hours - however then we noticed all of our office programmes had been removed aka can not access any data and we are a management consultancy. Then fasthost recommended we reinstall out orginal office CD which I did and then all of sudden when download was completed everything now is inaccessable.
    When I open outlook the message relays ' can not change to that idenity' I have tried to set up a new idenity and change permissions and even rebuilding it as per on line guides but when rebuilding it fails at the first step
    Rest of office IE WORD, EXCEL I just get microsforft has encountered a problem and needs to close unexpectidly everytime I try and click into it.
    I am now despirate as this is the second day we have had no access to anything and 6 day we have had no access to our documents \
    FASTSHOST do everything via email and no incoming phone line (which they will give anyway) so I really need help
    Any options advice greatly recieved
    I am also using the most recent software and have been doing regular software updates OS X Lion.

    I, too am wondering if it's the download site. I am not aware of any way to download Outlook Mac 2011 alone from any site including Microsoft's.
    It is common for unscrupulous sites to offer desirable but pirated software for a modest price, but serve it up with a dose malware. They get you money, possible a credit card number, your e-mail, your IP address, and all you get is pain.
    There was an "Outlook Express" for Mac that was freely distrubuted but I'll pretty sure that it never ran natively under OSX. The first OSX native version fo Office:Mac was Office X, and it introduced Entourage as the Mac mail client.
    IF Fast Hosts is your ISP, I'd certainly talk to them to figure out what you downloaded.

    No more details, just how do I fix this so I can print! It happens everytime I try to print a webpage, I usually have to copy the link and print from Explorer.

    You need to select the correct "printer" that you want to use in the Print -> Name dialog box. That XPS "printer" is the default in Firefox on Windows, until you select a different "printer". I am using quotes, because a "printer" can be a physical printer (hardware, that prints to paper) or a virtual printer (software, which is to a file - xps, pdf, etc).

    To open a document you must have installed an Android application for it. The file is downloaded but can be opened with Firefox, but with the specific app from Android.
    Try installing a documents app and for sure it will work.

    I need help with an error message that I am receiving.  I scan and upload a document to our customer's online program.  When I or anyone else goes to open and download the document, the following error message is received:  "There was an error opening this document.  The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

    It was the software that came with the scanner- Epson Perfection V30.  I have been doing uploading documents in this manner for several years and just in the last few months I have been receiving the error messages.

  • Printer Error Messages When Printing PDF Documents

    I keep getting the following error messages when I try to pring a PDF document. This application has failed to start because LXBBGF.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this. The other error message is: Cannot load library LXBBPRP.DLL using default error 126. I spent over and hour with a Lexmark Tech. who unsistalled my Lexmark X75 printer and he did a register edit to make sure my register was cleared of all the old Lexmark entries. He then reistalled the printer and the drivers, but the error message still pops up when trying to print a PDF Document. He checked out the printer and it will print and scan all other types of documents with no error messages. He also had me unistall Acrobat Reader 11.0 and reinstall it. I also did a sytem restore but none of the remedies I have tried so far has fixed the error messages issues. I would like to get this problem resolved as soon as possible because I need to print my travel documents asap. This forum is great but can someone please let me know how to get in touch with Adobe Technical Support. I need their toll free phone number and email address?

    When I first encountered the PDF printing problem I went to the Adobe Web Site and downloaded the most current version of Adobe Reader which was the 11.0.6 version and the Lexmark Technician uninstalled the old driver and installed the updated version of the printer's driver. But this did not resolve the PDF printing problem. Both before and after the PDF printing problem surfaced I was able to print all other document formats except PDF documents.
    It seems very strange to me that once I uninstalled  the Adobe Reader 11.0.6 and reinstalled my old version of Adobe Reader 9.3.3 that all of sudden I was able to print all of my other PDF documents. But that's what happened and Adobe still insists that it was a printer issue. I did a little research and this is not the first time Adobe has had compatibility/configuration issues with Lexmark printers and they have not resolved these issues.
    I know I am taking a chance by using an unsupported unsecure version of Adobe Reader, but at this time I don't have any other option. Unless Adobe develops a patch/workaround solution. Which I hoping they will do, but I don't think this is going to happen soon because this issue is not a high priority as it only effects a small portion of their customer base.

    I do have the Same Problem with on file in my numbers app. Since i have connected to iCloud and since i have Downloaded iOS on my iPad1.
    I can't just Accent that the Doc is gone, since ist has very Important Information for me.
    Apple support dös Not really send helpfull Information and it seams they know well about this Problem.
    Even if I spend the Time and work on this sheet again...who can Tell it does Not happen again?

  • Xerox Work Centre M118 Not printing via Mac

    I am trying to print to an Xerox Workcentre M118, I have installed the latest printer drivers from Xerox.
    Everytime I try to print, it Says the following for me in the print que window:
    *+Network host 'xeroxm118' is busy; will retry in 30 seconds...+*
    I have printed tou our other printer which have gone away to another business 100% before (Xerox Document Centre 545) using the generic postscript printer driver.
    I have tried that with this printer and even downloaded the latest driver from Xerox's Website, still it gives me the same problem.
    The printer works well from Ubuntu and Windows machines, but not from mac OSX.
    Anyone have some advice on how I can get this printer working from an Mac OSX Laptop?

    The error you describe is nearly always because of not entering a printer-specific queue name in Print & Fax prefs when required. The LPD and IPP protocols are defined to require a queue name (also called port name). Xerox use various queue names - lp, PASSTHRU, PORT1, PS, for example - I hope you can find yours in the printer manual.
    If the printer/built-in print server supports TCP/IP raw port 9100, that is equal to HP Jetdirect on OS X, and it doesn't use queue name.
