XFCE: Scrolling thtough desktops with scroll button.

XFCE wants to scroll through the workspaces with the scroll button on the mouse, and when I disable this, it persists. Restarting X doesn't help.

I have rebooted too. Yes, it is set to save session on logout. When I restarted X, I logged out and logged back in. The setting stays changed, but I can still scroll through the workspaces with the mouse.

There are some thumbs witch are buttons,
every button plays a video. (some of them are not finished).
I would like to join the horizontal scrolling bar with the buttons under and the vertical bar with the buttons at the left to show the other buttons outside the page. Every solution I have tried does not work : the link between each button and the reader is removed and I cannot reconnect it.
I hope given a clear explanation.
Could somebody have a solution ?

Muse won't let you, at least not that I know of. You could find the class in the code that muse gives it position: fixed…I think. You could paste it into the head area of your page properties to override the class. I believe something like this would give you persistent nav bar, pinned at the very top, on mobile:

I wouldn't use any parallax on mobile either, the performance is terrible.

there's a square button on my laptop between the right and left-click buttons which is meant to use to scroll down pages with. it worked before I upgraded, and now id doesn't. how can I change that? my laptop is an Acer from e-machines

EDGE and HTML dynamic text in a "box" with scroll bar

I'm new to EDGE, a win7pro master collection cs5.5 suite owner. I'm mainly in the Film/Video post production field (mostly AE, PPro, Pshop, IA) but have been branching into web design the last couple of years. I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash. While I'm a expert user with all the Film/video apps, I would say I only have intermediate ability with the web apps. While I understand a lot of programing logic bulding blocks I'm not a coder.
So since we're told "flash is dead", my interest in Edge is to try to do some of the things that I can currently do in flash in EDGE. I was excited when Edge first came out but lost interest when it became obvious that Adobe was not going to offer Edge and Muse to "suite owners" but only in their force feeding of the "Cloud". Better known as the "golden goose" for adobe stockholders and a never ending perpetual hole in the pocket for users. Anyway....
I spent the last couple of days doing some of the tuts and messing with the UI. It's matured a lot since I was here last.
I've been working on a flash site for a sports team where one of the pages is a player profile page where college recuriters and other interested parties can view recuriting relavent info/stats about players. This is how it works. While on the "Team" page a users clicks on a button labled "Player Profiles" . (Animation) A "page" flies in and unfurls from the upper right corner (3d page flips effect created in AE played by flash as a frame SEQ). Once it lands filling most of the center of the screen there is a bright flash. As the brightness fades we see the "page" is a bordered box with a BG image of a ball field(End). (Animation) from behind the border in fly small pictures (player head shots with name and jersey number). They stream in and form a circle like a wagon train and the team logo zooms up from infinity to the center of the circle(End). As the user mouses over a player's pic it zooms up a little and gets brighter (like mouseover image nav thumbs for a image slider). If the user clicks on a player's head shot it flips over and scales up to become a text box with a scrollbar. The content of the box is a mix of images, static and dynamic text fields populated from data in an "player info data base" XML file, and some hyperlinks. It's all kept updated dynamicaly with current stats, info and images from the XML file. There is also a "PDF" button that allows the user to open/save/print a PDF of the player's profile (the PDF's are static files for now but the choice of which pdf to retrive is dynamicaly supplied via the XML file.
So.... Is Edge now able to do something like this? Would it need to be a collection of small animations? could these be "assembled" and connected as an asset in dreamweaver ?
I thought I would approach this from the end (ie click on an image and display a box with dynamic TEXT fileds. ) since that is the most important part, ie displaying the dynamicaly updated profile info. Sooooo....
Can Edge display a scrolling text box with Images, static text, and html dynamic text in it??

MinWidth not working with Scroller container

So, this might be a dumb question from a relative Flex newbie, but I haven't been able to figure it out for the last few hours, after trying many different combinations. In a scrolling Group, I'm able to get the vertical scrolling to behave exactly as I want it to, but the horizontal scrolling just doesn't seem to function no matter what I do.
Examples from Design view:
As you can see, the content is larger than minHeight of 800, so the scrollbar appears...hooray! Now, for the horizontal scrolling....
Horrible, ugly mega-fail. (Note also that only some of the text areas actually scale, despite the fact that they're all coded identically...what's up with that?!). I do realize that each of the nested border containers have children with fixed heights, and I'm using fluid widths throughout this layout..which may account for the different behavior. But isn't that the whole point of the minWidth property? To create a limit at which the scrollbars will appear? I know I could force the Scroller size to 300, but then it would limit the size of the viewport to a maximum of 300, which is the last thing I want. Basically, I need some help in understanding how the new Scroller system works with fluid layouts. In MX, minWidth/minHeight just worked....*sigh*
Can anyone help me fix this? Please stop me from losing faith in Abode's ability to create APIs that function inituitively.

There have been a few bugs reported with Scroller. It is trying to take on
some new capabilities, like resizing content so it doesn't get occluded by
the scrollbars and there's been some bugs in there. In MX, the scrollbars
just showed up on top of your content, which was undesireable for many
folks.

Integrated scroll panels and unmovable toggle buttons

iam looking for an expert. I am working on an HMI development and wanted to use Flash Catalyst. However, I think I am already reached the limits of FC. But perhaps there is a FC solution because I can not program Flash.
Problem:
In my layer, I have different graphical objects and text blocks. A part of them I want to move with a scroll panel. That's easy, not a problem.
However, all these objects (including the scroll panels) should be integrated in a master scroll panel. This means, that all parts, even the integrated scroll panels, should be moveable at the same time. I managed this.
Now, I need multiple toggle buttons. With these Buttons I wanted to change the form of some of the graphical objects resp. the text blocks. But the buttons have to be unmovable. This function (to change the form of the objects) is relatively easy but in combination with the integrated scroll panels it isnt. The buttons are able to move the objects when these buttons are pasted in the "deepest" layer, the layer of the objects. But there, the buttons are moveable and slide out of the screen (with the master scroll panel) and not clickable.
How can I manage this? I need unmovable toggle buttons, with these I want to change the forms of objects. The objects are pasted in integrated scroll panels. I hope it's understandable!
Can someone help me? It would be glad if the answer does not depend on the learning of the flash programming!

After 2 days of banging my head against a wall (doesn't it always go that way)...
Turns out one of my panels had sub-panels causing the problem. Visibility to the parent panel was controlled by a button on one of the child panels. Once I "promoted" the button to the parent panel, the panel (screen) flow worked great.
Is this 'undocumented functionality'? Why should it matter how deep the button is nested? (incidentally, the reason it worked in my test environment was the lack of other components - aka the child panel)

Why am I unable to scroll through bookmarks with mouse wheel anymore?

Used to be able to scroll through bookmarks with mouse wheel, now I am unable to. I have tried reinstalling firefox and disabling all addons but same problem. Please help!

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Problem with scrolling not being smooth

I recently had an updated version of Firefox installed on my computer (PC).But there is one feature of this new version that is actually worse than the old one.
When I scroll down to read multiple messages on message boards it doesn’t react the same as it did before the “upgrade”. It is not as “smooth” now as it was before when I scroll down through messages. This might seem like a small problem but it is a waste of time and hard on the eyes.
Each time I roll the wheel on my mouse one notch to move the messages up on my screen they move differently than they did before.
Now what happens is the increments that the screen moves in are much more discernible than before. Before the update, it was much more seamless and you couldn’t even notice any changes at all – it was more smooth – now it is very “jumpy”, to the point where you can’t read the messages as they scroll across the screen, which is the point. They move now in such noticeable or discernible increments that I can’t read them as they move – I have to wait until the screen stops.
I used to be able to read as I scrolled. This might not seem like a big problem but it is huge! It is way better to be able to read as you scroll – saves time and is way easier on your eyes.
Scrolling through newspaper articles or other internet articles doesn’t seem to be a problem because each mouse wheel click moves the screen in bigger “chunks”. It is the little movements that happen with message board reading that make it impossible to read and very hard on the eyes.
How do I fix this? Or can you fix this? Do I have to go back to the previous version of Firefox?
Please help. I hate this problem!

You described the problem very well, and my problem is the same or maybe worse.
When I roll the wheel one notch the vertical scrolling takes off with a mind of its own.
The scrolling speed accelerates and decelerates in speed from start to stop.

Use autoscrolling: Autoscrolling is a useful feature which allows you to scroll the page by clicking the middle mouse button (usually the scroll wheel) and moving the mouse up or down. Some people find this annoying, so autoscrolling can be disabled with this option.
So I'm assuming this is the 'autoscroll' feature and is the way it was designed.
One click will start a short vertical scroll job of maybe 2 or so inches.
I don't like it because it is too erratic with too many clicks.
During the scrolling there is a horizontal slice of the page with noticeable distortion.
And if there is too much page-loading activity, the scroll is more erratic and is very obnoxious.
If it scrolls too fast I may click on the page and accidentally hit a link into a 'flash ad'.
Unchecking the 'autoscrolling' doesn't disable this undesired feature.
How do I get back to the 'one-line' per click scroll? What am I missing?

Hello I am Kevin Jin, I am working a huge project acually not that big, but I need help with five things, i mihgt have more things in my mind but here it is
1. I need help with scrolling like where you have buttons for example or press on a navigation bar tab, then it goes to that specific pace of the page, for a one page website, for example some sites you press on contacts and gose down to the bottom of the page where the contacts place is located, not opening a new link.
2.Second also I need help with navigation bar, where it fallows the scroll as it gose down, like for example when it is html the object is fixed to the top, and when you scroll down it will fallow it it,
3.I need Parallex scrolling where you can have the timeline or animations run while you scroll in the meantime and have animation running all the time, for example the infographic site where the bees are fluying but still have seperate animations while you scroll
4.I am so sorry i have two more to go, i appreciate your help, I would also like to ask if like looping each animations sperately, not looping the whole timeline, can it be possible to loop an animation while you have all the interactivity witht he site like looping seperately all the time, without interfeering with all the other animation
5.I also are wondering if you can create multiple pages on one animate project, like multiple pages with html

Satellite C series Touchpad scrolls/moves when the left button is depressed

Seem to be having a problem with my touchpad.
After about 2 weeks of normal operation, it now only scrolls/moves when the left button is depressed.
Have had a look in settings but cannot seem to get anywhere.

It is not easy to say what is wrong there. Maybe such behaviour is result of defective hardware.
I recommend you to reinstall operating system using HDD recovery option and check functionality again with factory settings. If the same will happen again from the first moment it must be hardware malfunction and in such case you should contact nearest Toshiba service provider.
They can check it, repair if necessary and all costs will be covered by warranty.

Scrolling and rightclicking with magic mouse doesnt work anymore

Suddenly scrolling and rightclicking with magic mouse doesnt work any more. Left clicking and cursor moving works normal. I have checked the system preferences for the mouse and find nothing strange or unchecked. Any ideas?

Also tried the universal access thing. Doesnt work.

5k retina display - scroll not working with Safari (both magic mouse and trackpad)

suddenly my trackpad and magic mouse stopped working with scrolling (most annoying one) and other gestures.
I recently bought the iMAC 5K retina display and was not expecting this by any means...
I have a ton of tabs open on safari and simply "refuse" to try the old windows way of rebooting the machine...
I have to use the arrow keys to scroll down... this is insane

Just found out the reason I couldn't get the two to play nicely. I had connected my keyboard and trackpad using a "Magic Wand" which looked great. Unfortunately the magic wand had a connecting piece to fill in the gap between the two pieces and this was preventing the little pads underneath the trackpad clicking. So I can only guess that because the trackpad couldn't click it thought it was stuck and therefore also locked up the mouse. I've remove the connector and both pieces work perfectly together!

Problems with scroll bars in list view

I am using Xcelsius 2008 (Build Number 12,2,166). I am still having trouble with scroll bars on my list view control. Other list views in my dashboard seem to be ok. It seems that this list view is not ignoring the blank cells in my excel file. I have gone through many things to correct this problem. I have added a new list view, I have copied other list views that work correctly but still no success. It seems that the "Ignore Blank Cells" property is not working correctly. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I tried all of the suggestions, sort of. I did not have alcohol wipes, but I did take alcohol and pour some ona white paper towel and then rolled the mouse touch ball aroound and that finally cleared up the problem. Just inverting it on paper did not do the reick, it needed some help with the alcohol. Of course the probelm is the debris that gets inside and it really needs to come out.
This is a huge problem for RIM devices users too.
