XI 3.1 - Trying to bypass first Infoview screen to Document List
Hi Everyone,
I have downloaded the files from "How to set preferences for all users at once in BO XI R2" under samples. Now, I'm not sure how I should deploy and configure. We are on XI3.1 and use Infoview (Java) to run Webi and Crystal reports. We are wanting to bypass the first Infoview screen and go directly to the Document List screen. Also we have configured for SSO AD.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For BOE 3.x just follow the steps that are shown in the following forum topic:

You have to download a script, log in as administrator, configure the settings for the administrator user (the settings you want for all the users, like the start page), run the script and that's all.
You have to be logged in in the forum in order to download the script.

Trying to bypass pop-up blockers on a flash site
Trying to bypass pop-up blockers on a flash site. Nothing
malicious, just going from a Flash interface to html so I can write
to a cookie. If I try to load the page in the same window, then
when you go back to the flash you are starting from the beginning
which makes it rather cumbersome. I was hoping to just load a
pop-up to avoid this.
Within the index.html page I have a javascript page loaded.
In the .js file I have

I was making a movie on iMovie, and was trying to use the green screen to make a split screen. I pressed on the green screen button, but the second clip didn't play next to the first, and only the audio played. I tried again with some different clips and some worked and some didn't. This hasn't happened before. What should I do? (I am using iMovie '09)

Are you sure? I believe the mail program only previews the first page for you, but sends the whole attachment. Try opening the attachment (e.g., select and hit spacebar for a preview of the whole thing, or by double-clicking it, or control-clicking then "Open...") You should see the whole document.

Trying to commence first ever Storage & Backup but it fails and massages "the Last backup could not be completed" "Last Backup - Never".
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

I am having trouble using my time capsule to back up. I tried repairing through "first aid" Disk 4s2 failed and I have been directed to erase. What is in this disk? Should I erase it??
Only you know what is on the disk.. if you have been running TM to the TC then it will have your backups.. are they important?? Otherwise it will be what you..or others in the house have copied to it.. is that important?
If the first aid has failed the disk then it could be a good idea to erase it.
Does the disk mount in finder so you can see the main directory? -
Working Pages '09, I am trying to set up a multi-page document using page layout (not a word processing document, because I'll be using lots of graphics and text boxes), with headers and footers, but no header on the first page, as this will be the title page. The layout>section pane has the 'First page is different' option greyed out (because it's a word processor only option). Help tells me that each page is it's own section in page layout, but there is no way to have one page without a header and all the others with, as far as I can tell. Am I completely missing something or is there a way around this?
Also, I want to do this again for additional chapters in the document (or else, I believe, be forced to manually start page numbering for each chapter in a new document).
Cheers.Hi, Barry. I don't know why this solution didn't work for me :-\ Does it matter that my page numbers are in the footer and not the header? When I follow your direction, the pages do get numbered differently. My problem occurs with the last step.
1. Open the Inspector. (Check!)
2. Click the Layout button (second from left). (Check!)
3. Click Section. (Check!)
4. Make the two settings shown: (Check!)
5. Go to Page 1 and delete the contents of the Header. (When I do this, the content for all footers is deleted...)

Office 2013 Home and Business OEM First Run screen
Hi There
We are starting to roll out office 2013 oem Home and Business our users are reporting that the first run screen get coming up every time there open an office application.
In Group Policy I've disable the First Run Movie and Office First run on application boot however the users are still getting to first run screen this is every annoying.
Any help with would be great?

BrettThe policy setting should work: it correctly adds bootedrtm=1 value to HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\15.0\firstrun. But for some reason Office apps ignore it. I tried disabling the entire policy, then go through the welcome screen. After finishing
with it, office created the same value, but in another place (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\FirstRun), and the screen never appeared anymore.
So to make the setting work, you have to manually create registry setting (via GPO preference) with the following data:.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\FirstRun]
"BootedRTM"=dword:00000001
P.S. this was pretty easy, but did anyone look at disabling the EULA prompt? The acceptance is marked by creating a registry key for each user, but the path contains computer name :)) Therefore if all users of the PC have accepted the agreement, and you
renamed the computer, the popup comes back again. And of course group policy is impossible with such path. -
How do I delete just the first page of a document?
A long time ago (2005) I made a document over 200 pages long - and now I need to edit it, specifically to delete the first (empty) page of the documet, so when I add a separate cover, the first page will be on the right, where it should be. I shall also need to edit/change the page numbering and TOC to match. It has been so long since I used Pages that I don't remember how to do this.
I tried selecting the first page in the sidebar vertical list of the pages and hitting the Delete button (or using the menu option) but this seems to want to delete the entire document, not just the selected page.
I know this sounds simple, but I can't figure out how to do it. Pages Help just says to delete the content, but there is no content on the page.Either you have a lot of Pages breaks which you can delete or you have aded a Pages break which you also can delete. Turn on the invisible characters View > Show Invisibles. You will see blue characters.

I need to edit out parts of a song to cut it down to two minutes for my daughter's talent show. I went to info/start time and it will cut down one part but only one part. I need to put three parts together. I tried adding duplicates of the song to the list but if If I change the start time on one it will change it on all of them.
In your library, right-click the song you want to edit.
select "get info".
go to "options" and select the start and stop times for your first section of the song.
click "OK".
Find the shortened version of the song in your library. It may take a minute for it to show up. right click it again and select "create (????) version". (the ???? is different for different formats).
The library will spit out a new, second version of the song which you can rename. I suggest you use the original title and add a 1 to the end.
Now you can go back to the other version and repeat the process with a different start/stop time.
Once you are done editing, you can burn all of your versions to a disk, just make sure your interval time is zero so there are no gaps between edits.
To keep the orginal song on your library, just go back to the original and put the start/stop times back to the original settings. -
Empty first installer screen for Starcraft 2 with wine

I'm trying to install Starcraft 2 (release) on my linux system.
I'm seeing on google that almost all the people got it up and working.
Although I'm having a problem.

The problem is that the first install screen comes empty (no buttons) as you can see in this screenshot.

The borders are already reported as a bug in the winhq bugzilla.
I tried to search for it in google with no luck.
If anyone could give me hint, it would be greately appreciated.

I have no clue where directx.c is located or how to find it since everytime I enable strigi file indexer it indexes the files then disables itself.
Any suggestions would be appreciated since the bug thread is already closed.

What is your console output? Is libjpeg installed? Did you use unhide when mounting the dvd? Try copying all files on the dvd to a folder in your home directory to make sure that you can read all of them.

If you're unable to make it work, you may want to try installing with Blizzard Downloader instead. -
Imovie 09 when trying to play on full screen the program crashes also when trying to burn using idvd the program crashes. i have tried reinstalling software but get the same problem. Also some of my old projects that were ok before are doing the same, any ideas.
Instead of Sharing to iDVD you want to Share to Media Browser. This will save the movie to a special folder inside of iMovie that you can then see from inside the iDVD program.
Choose Share > Media Browser (it's at the top of the list)
Choose the Large size and let it roll. It will take a while for it to work.
When it's finished quit iMovie.
Open iDVD, Create a new project.
Go to the button labeled "Media" in the lower right hand corner of the iDVD window, and click it.
Just above that is a window with some buttons across the top. Click on the button labeled "Movies".
Inside the window you will see an iMovie star icon, double-click the triangle beside it to see all the movies being shared. Your iMovie project will appear there.
Drag the iMovie project into your iDVD project.
The quality of the final DVD is visibly better, sharper than if you were to Share directly to iDVD. So bypass Share to iDVD altogether and see if it stops crashing. -
Infoview freezes when click on "Document List" on IE

Description of Problem or Question:
We have few users experienced this strange issue:
Users can log on to Business Object Infoview;
they can surf to Preferences, Home, etc...;
however, when they click on "Document List" or "My Favorites" IE seems to be frozen;
this only happened to IE, when users use firefox, they do not have any issue.
Does anyone knows any work around on this issue?

Business Objects Enterprise 3.1, SP2, FP2.7
Relevant Environment Information (OS & version, java or .net & version, DB & version):
End user is using Windows 7, this issue occurred on both 32 bits and 64 bits,

What has already been tried (where have you searched for a solution to your question/problem):
We tried to clear IE cache, restore to default settings,
update Java, uninstall Java, reinstall Java, clear Java cache.
none of above seems to remedy the issue.
Steps to Reproduce (if applicable):
we have to terminate the process from Task Manager,
however, once, users log on to Infoview, then click on "Document List" IE hangs again.Wow, I don't know how you found that, but adjusting the zoom resolves the issue for my InfoView XI 3.2 system too!
