XL Reporter 2007 A PL 42 - Object variable or With block variable not set

We have upgraded our client from PL38 to PL 42 and they are now unable to open any XL Reports or XL Reporter on a certain PC, they where able to prior to the upgrade and with PL 42 they can no longer do so.
The error message they get is a system error message in SAP reading 'An error occurred while executing the report. Object variable or With block variable not set'
Does anyone know what can be causing this? We have unibstalled and reinstalled the client 3 times, removed SAP folders etc and still no joy

Please check if the user is a member of administrator group.
Also,
Please check whether SBOXLReporter.exe.config file exists in the path->
SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\XLR\XLReporter. If not,rename file "excel.exe.config" attached in the note 918188 to "SBOXLReporter.exe.config" and copy it into the above mentioned directory.
If you still face this issue, please try to reinstall .NET framework from the client's machine.

Hi SAP collegues,
At my site, BPC Excel created this problem too "Object Variable or With Block Variable not set" .
It turned out that this is symptom of a a dys-functioning BPC COM Plug-in in XL2007 or XL2010!
This is a consequence that your Excel recently crashed while using BPC. And it relates to an Excel Add-in becoming disabled when the applications crashes. Please check the following.
Note before doing the following, close all other open Excel and BPC sessions.
Within Excel go to File à Options
Select the Add-Ins option on the left
Select the <<COM Add-ins >> option in the Manage drop down, and click Go
Make sure that the Planning and Consolidation option is selected. If not, mark this box and click OK.
If you do not see anything listed, return to the Add-in screen and select the Disabled Items option, and see if Planning and Consolidation is listed there.

"Object Variable or With Block Variable not set" Error on Adobe Presenter 8 Ribbon on PPT 2010/2007

Returning back from Adobe training at KEDRIYA VIDYALAYA no 1 Jalhalli Bangalore when I started Powerpoint to use Adobe Presenter 8 I am getting : "Object Variable or With Block Variable not set " error on clicking any of the menu features of the Presenter Ribbon. My Config are :
i)             WINDOWS XP SP 3
ii)            POWERPOINT 2007 / 2010 ( for both same error is coming)
iii)           MS XML Library 4.0 installed.
iv)           Adobe Presenter 8
I am using all liscenced copies of softwares.
Hardware specs are also as per Minimum Adobe standards.
I Have tried a lot removing Data Execution Prevention Mode , but all in vain the problem still exists
Why is this happening. Please help.

Getting error "Object variable or with block variable not set" when trying to open a FR report in studio

Problem Description
We are on FR 11.1.2.2.305 installed on AIX. a user is getting this error: "Object variable or with block variable not set" when trying to open a FR report from FR studio client installed on windows xp . Initialy, we thought it may be a FR client installion issue. We uninstalled and cleaned up registry and did a fresh installation of the client but the issue still persists. The FR server and the client are on the same version.
The user is a LDAP user who is facing the issue. We have confirmed with other users and they dont have any issue accessing FR report from their own client but when they try to connect from the users machine who is having issues, the others users also see the above error. All the users are ldap users and all belong to same shared services groups so the provisiong is the same.
Any input will be appreciated.

Error - Object variable or with block variable not set while running report

Hi,
I am trying to run BEx reports through portal.
However I am not able to run any report. I am getting following error.
"Run time error '91':
Object variable or with block variable not set"
This is not BEx installation or excel issue as I am not able to run reports using someone else's desktop also.
Also I have authorization to those reports. So doesn't seem to be authorization issue.
Please help me to resolve this problem.

Hello
When I try to create a new journal, I get an error "object variable or with block variable not set"
This is happening with some computers but not all of them, the same user can create a journal in some computers.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling BPC office client but that did not work.
Do you have any other ideas ?

Hi,
You have to check first if you are able to access the reporting service frm that speific client machine typing:
http://<reporting server name>/reports. If all is woking well , you have to check also the number of default sheets for an empty excel sheet (should be 3) - I ma not sure what version are you using.
If still not work, please let me know when exactly the error appear, when you try to open the template (clicking on journal option) or after when you fill the report, save it, so on.

Hi - We have saved a working input schedule to a new name and modified it to use for another company. There is a report tab to bring down the historical units from BPC, a tab to trend the history, and a tab that references the other two tabs to forecast the units into the future and send the forecasted units back up to BPC. The input schedule that was saved to a new name and modified works fine until we attempt to Send and Refresh the active worksheet on the forecast tab. When we do so, it indicates the number of records that will be sent, but when it attempts to Process the upload to BPC we receive an error message that indicates Object variable or With Block variable not set and no records are sent to BPC.
We have retested the original input template that was copied and the original template still transfers data successfully to BPC. We have also tried starting with a blank input template and copying in the formulas from the working template and we still get the same error message.
We have read several postings on this error and it seems to be a pretty general error, and so far none of the suggestions have worked for us. One suggested checking for special characters, but the only non alpha non-numeric characters used are dashes in the values of one of the dimensions and spaces and underlines in the formulas used to forecast the units, but both of these are present and don't seem to cause any problem in the working input schedule.
We are currently on BPC 7.5 SP6 and using Excel 2010.
Any help would be appreciated.

- Currently only BPC 7.5 NW SP05 and above support Office 2010
- Note: BPC NW 7.5 NW cannot work on office 2010 (64-bits), office 2010 (64-bits) is not supported.
Check your proxy settings (note 1592560: Getting "Error 91 Object variable or with block variable after upgrade to SP06" in the Excel Client.)
Try 1576893: After upgrading to SP06, the EVDRE reports stop working.
PS. Maybe I wrong, but some problems with 2010 Office clients in our system dissapear after patching to SP08.

Hi Gurus,
Could you share me the solution to resolve the issue?
I am getting an error "object variable or with block variable not set" while trying to submit data through an Input schedule.
I am working on SAP BPC 7.5 NW and using MS Excel 2007.
I can log in to BPC Admin and excel with my user id and password.
I checked my security profile and i have the submit data task in my task profile. My all other Input Schedules are working very well. Only one of the IS is causing this problem. The same input Schedule when saved as Dynamic Template it works well and data is sent successfully.

This might be incase you have some special character like & in the input schedule template. you need to remove the special character in that case.

Modify Application: Error Message:: Object Variable or With Block variable

Hi Experts,
We just installed 5.1 on our server and once the application is installed.
When I try to modify the aplication I get this error at the end
This is step what the modify app does:
Check environment information
Drop Fact table index.
Modify fact table.
Update application information.
Set Fact table index.
Create stored procedures and comment table.
Increase application version and make legal consolidation table.
Make OLAP database and Journal/Audit reports. / Validate dimension formulas.
Error Message:: Object Variable or With Block variable
Any one has any any answer ? I will appreciate your help on this.

Please check if Reporting Services is working properly.
Just open IE and type http://nameofserver/reports
If you receive any error then you have to fix that error verifying configuration of RS.
If RS is working make sure you add the right information into Server Manager Server Option for RS and Report Server virtual directory.
Also please check the tblappsetinfo to have all the fields completed (regarding servers).

Hello everyone,
Object Variable or With block Variable not set-not from Excel but from BPC Admin.
I searched the form and all posting/solutions talk about this error appearing from Excel. In my case it happens for BPC Admin - when I try to maintain dimension members. I tried uninstalling and re-installing BPC client few times, processed all dimensions and tried pretty much all solutions posted here. Nothing worked (in BPC Admin). If anybody who came across this issue and solved it,

Thanks for all your possible solutions. Here is the solution in case if you come across,
"Object Variable or With block Variable not set" error from BPC Admin (not from Excel).
Did some analysis with Basis administrator and found that there was an installation of MS Office 2010 component (not the full version. not sure how it got there since I do not have MS Office 2010) along with MS Office 2007. So,
I un-installed MS Office 2010 component, MS Office 2007 and Planning and Consolidation client.
Re-booted the laptop.
Installed MS Office 2007 first. Re-booted.
Installed Planning and Consolidation client. Re-booted.
Started Planning and Consolidation Admin client. Clicked on Maintain Dimension members for a dimension. Dimension members displayed without any errors.
Tried update, insert and delete of dimension members, worked fine.

'Object variable or With block variable not set' in BPC MS 7.0

When I am click on "Modify Work Status" from Office client, I am recieving the error 'Object variable or With block variable not set'.
The user id I am using for this is having admin rights and Work status related access permissions.
Kindly suggest.

As always with this kind of errors, You've already tried in other computer wiht your id?
After checking if it'is working in another pc, probably, it's related to your installation, sp, requisites, corrupt files, reports etc...
if it's not working probably it's related to your user security, access etc..

I have Presenter 6.2 installed into PowerPoint 2007 on a XP
operating system. I have successfully used this product a couple of
months ago.
Evidently now I am getting an Adobe Presenter error prompt
that says "Object variable or With block variable not set" for
every feature I click on in PP.
I have reinstalled Presenter to see if that would fix it. It
did not. I uninstalled/deleted it from my PC and then installed a
fresh copy. I still get the same issue prompt.
Has anyone experienced this and if so got any suggestions on
how to fix it?

I am having the same problem, and I have since I installed this add-in a month ago, honestly I am wondering why people use this product. Others around me are not having this issue so I don't know what is going on.
I have called Adobe 3 times,
I tried uninstalling and re-installing Presenter - no luck
I tried disabling and enabling the add-in - no luck
I updated to version 7.0.5, http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=153&platform=Windows (make sure you install 7.0.1, then 7.0.2, then 7.0.5 in this order) still had problems - but I did just find this post from 2009, and I am going to try starting a new presentation (updates would not help a current PP), which really is not great because I have a 60 slide class at this time.

Importing existing worksheet yields "Object variable or With Block variable not set" error

There is not much more to say. I try to import the worksheet, but it gives that error. I do not see anywhere I can enter VAB either. FYI, I am working with SharePoint 2007 but there was no forum for that.

Error during precalculation Object variable or With block variable not set.

We are tyring to set up a precal server for broadcasting. The precal server is running on a windows 2003 server and the service is running under a local admin account.
When we try to run a test workbook, we get the email with the workbook, but there is no data in it.
The Precal server shows us the following log:

Does the query in the workbook require variable input, and, if so, have you provided a variant in the precalculation setting?

GSServices GetGatewaySpecificConfig Object variable or With block variable

I am trying to get the Imageserver path of Plumtree 5.0.4 using the GSServices dll (version 30.1817.7918.)
When I execute the method GetGatewaySpecificConfig I get an exception System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Object variable or With block variable not set.
Is there any prerequisite for this function to execute as it does not take any parameters?
I am using ASP.Net1.1 with C# as the programming language. I must use this dll only to get the Imageserver path.
