XML IDOC data (hosted on a web server)   &  handling multiple WSDLs

Hi ALL,
1)how to design an Interface for picking up an XML IDOC data (hosted on a web server) which will be uploaded to SAP or converted to a file
this is what the customer has given me ..can any one explain me this and help me how to more forward
2).This Interface must use UDDI concept because we are going to use multiple BAPIs /RFCs as WSDLs
what is this mean can any send me some document on this
3).Use web-service navigator concept as we will be handling multiple WSDLs
i worked on 1. to define a place holder in WebAS for holding the
wsdls.
2. publish the wsdls in WebAS UDDI Repostory
but i have never used web-service navigator concept as we will be handling multiple WSDLs what is the difference ..send me some step by step docs ..
thanks very much
RK..

1.I am not clear with the requirement too. THere is no big deal in sending XML to IDOC or File. Based on your requirement you have to import IDOC structure or ify ou are using file, create a structure for the file.
If u are asking about sendin the XML directly without mapping, even you can do that without MM and even IM.
Please be more elaborate and if you are not clear with what client said, paraphrase them or ask again. Its not good to start work unless we are very clear with the requirement.
you can say to my understanding i feel this, now pI will send data like this. Is it correct?
2. More information on UDDI
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UDDI
I dont think you need to worry much about this now with many features provided in ESR especially
3. http://<Host>:<port>/wsnavigator/
The webservices going out of PI are published here.
provide host and port are host and port details of ext system.
Once you enter link in your browser, it shows the available webservices hosted there.
All you need is to click on the required wsdl and test it.
It is as good as sending your data from PI to other system.
It is similar to Altova XML spy but the difference here is you enter the values directly here but in XML spy we send XML .

  • UCCX Reading XML file hosted on IIS web server

    hi guys,
    i have a customer on CCX 8.5 environment and they have a .NET application running on an IIS web server. As part of this .NET application, the app produce an XML file.
    My questions is
    "Can CCX read XML file that is hosted externally on IIS web server rather than parsing the XML file on CCX document repository?"
    All of the examples of XML parsing points to the XML file in document repository.
    Any pointers to links and documentation/example on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.
    If this is not achievable, if you could kindly suggest a different way of doing it too would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

    Hi,
    to be quite honest with you, I don't know anything about Sharepoint - so I am afraid I cannot help you with its XML editing capabilities. XML is just a well formed text file that follows some logical rules, so no additional application is required for editing, in fact, I always encourage everybody to use Notepad/Textpad/ to read and edit XML files. Of course, if it's not possible, you will find a great number of various user friendly XML editing applications.
    A UCCX script will normally access an XML using the Create URL Document step and then, using the Get XML Document data step with the help of an XPath expression, will filter out the necessary information from the XML document.
    The protocols used are standard and well known, including HTTP and XPath (and XML itself). So it does not really matter what kind of HTTP server serves the XML file, IIS is just an option.
    Examples may be found in the Scripting guides for your particular UCCX version.

  • Access websites hosted on local web server

    Hi there,
    I have a Cisco ASA 5505 in my home office which has a few PCs behind it with a linux web server running some websites. I can access the websites from outside no problem (i.e. on my iPhone using a 3G connection). However, I struggle to access the websites from within the network. The ASA gives me this error:
    6
    May 05 2013
    11:52:27
    192.168.55.61
    50420
    Failed to locate egress interface for TCP from inside:192.168.55.61/50420 to 86.*.*.*/80
    ASA runs version 9. Here is the config bit:
    object network denon-server
    host 192.168.55.200
    access-list outside_access_in extended permit tcp any object denon-server eq www
    object network denon-server
    nat (any,outside) static interface service tcp www www
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    I assume that you are trying to reach the LAN server with the public IP address that the ASA holds and also uses for the above Port Forward / Static PAT configuration?
    If this is the situation then I am afraid that with the current configuration that is not possible. The NAT configuration towards Internet is done between probably "inside" and "outside". So "outside" interface holds the public IP address. ASA doesnt let you connect to that "outside" IP address from behind the "inside" IP address. (Or any other interface for that matter)
    What you could try to do is configure a NAT that would enable you to use the public IP address of the server even when connecting from the "inside" of ASA.
    Try this
    object network SERVER-LOCAL
    host 192.168.55.200
    object network SERVER-PUBLIC
    host 86.x.x.x
    object network LAN
    subnet 192.168.55.0 255.255.255.0
    nat (inside,inside) source dynamic LAN interface destination static SERVER-PUBLIC SERVER-LOCAL
    Where
    SERVER-LOCAL = Is the "object" that defines the real IP address of the server
    SERVER-PUBLIC = Is the "object" that defines the public IP address of the server (that ASA holds on its "outside")
    LAN = Is the "object" that defines the subnet from where LAN users connect to the server public IP address
    Check that the network mask is correct for the LAN and fill in the public IP address.
    The actual NAT configuration tells the ASA this
    When a connection from LAN is coming towards SERVER-PUBLIC then UN-NAT SERVER-PUBLIC to SERVER-LOCAL and NAT LAN to "inside" interface IP address (as defined by the parameter "interface" in the configuration)
    This should enable the LAN hosts to use the public IP address to connect to the server. The server though will see the connections coming from the ASA "inside" interface IP address.
    Hope this helps

  • Plumtree portal server (v5.0.1) hosted on iPlanet Web Server (v6.0)

    Has anyone tried to port the Plumtree Corporate Portal v5.0.1 portal server component to iPlanet Enterprise Web Server 6.0 (aka SunONE Web Server, v6.0 )? Plumtree doesn't support this, but I am trying to merge a custom SSO authenticator to the Plumtree portal (v5.0.1). The authenticator runs as a plug-in to SunONE Web Server and has been in place on our customer's web site for a long time now.
    I have this working great in with SSL turned off, but I am having a difficult time getting past an error when I turn on SSL. I can get the portal server to run fine with SSL turned on through Tomcat on the same machine, using the same certificate and JRE. I can also get the SunONE server to run other servlet applications fine with SSL turned on. However, there appears to be either: (1) an incompatibility between SunONE's NSServlet plug-in that handles servlets and the Plumtree framework classes that set up replies via SSL, or (2) a configuration error in my setup somewhere. I'm hoping that (2) is the real culprit, but I've tried just about everything I can think of, and haven't been able to resolve this problem.
    The server starts up fine and I can load non-portal content without a problem. But when I log in, the portal's main community page that should be returned is not being returned to the client. PTSpy (a debugging aid for the Plumtree portal) doesn't indicate any problems, so I know the content is being built by the portal correctly, but the built page is never being sent back to the requesting client.
    Here is the error that gets logged to my SunONE server's error log:

    at com.iplanet.server.http.servlet.NSServletRunner.ServiceWebApp(NSServletRunner.java:981)It looks like a Java classpath issue, but I've verified (even in the same log file with java debugging turned on) that the SSLSocket class is getting loaded. I've even tried moving the specification of the jar file containing this class (jsse.jar, part of the JRE) to the beginning and end of my classpath setting.
    I'm using the same JRE that is bundled with the Tomcat release supplied with my Plumtree 5.0.1 installation (1.4.1_02). I can't get the JRE that came bundled with the SunONE v6.0 release to work at all.
    I've posted a similar message on a couple other forums (Java and iPlanet-related, as well as on Plumtree's customer forum) and haven't found an answer yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

    In case anyone else experiences this, I have apparently stumbled upon an issue with iPlanet's handling a specified JRE/JDK instead of the supplied JDK in iPlanet Web Server v6.0, SP5, though I found a way around it to resolve my problem.
    I had been specifying a different JRE to run with through the administrative server manager. However, even though I was specifying to load all the JRE's jar files in my classpath setting, iPlanet was only loading the rt.jar file for my specified JRE. With verbose logging turned on, the error log was indicating that the other classpath specified jar files were being loaded, but apparently they were not being used. The JDK that was released with iPlanet appears to be being used for all other JRE classes outside of those defined in rt.jar. Since the JDK supplied with the iPlanet release didn't contain jsse.jar, which contains SSL support, it was not being loaded and was causing the problem I was seeing.
    Instead of specifying the JRE of a different JDK that I was using, I changed the global setting in the administrative server manager to override the entire JDK. This has resolved my problem.
    So if you specify a JRE to override the iPlanet supplied JDK/JRE, it appears that only the rt.jar file of the specified JRE will be loaded, and the jar files associated with the iPlanet-supplied JRE will be used for all other classes. Specification of a complete JDK to override the supplied one will resolve this.

    Hi
    I agree usage of HttpClient is a better and a simple method.
    But If your Application Requirements are Simple you may go by using URL & URLconnection Objects in java.net package.
    Just to Add In You Can Checkout the links given below to have a better understanding of how the communication works...

  • Can iDSIE (Meta-directory) be used as a single authentication point from iPlanet Web Server for multiple databases using direct "or" indirect connectors?

    Basically, the latest release of iPlanet Web Server forces the user/group information source to be an LDAP database. Currently, the user accounts are in Active Directory, NT, Oracle and NetWare Directory Service in this heterogeneous environment.
    What I am looking for is a meta-directory product which can do two things:
    1-Single authentiation point for users in mulitple databases from iPlanet Web Server.
    2-Single administration point for all of the databases listed above.
    For example, can I add/modify/delete a user account at the meta-directory level and have this propagate to all of the databases listed above reducing the administration to one meta-directory product?

    With an Virtual Directory solution, you can authenticate Iplanet Web Server against nearly anything including any LDAPv3 Directory Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows NT Domains, Oracle RDBMS, IBM DB2 RDBMS, Microsoft SQL, and others.
    All of this is done dynamically and doesn't require any heavyweight synchronization process. The Virtual Directory acts as a dynamic schema / DIT / data translation engine for different types of repositories.
    OctetString's Virtual Directory Engine is one such example. You can download a 30 day evaluation copy at:
    http://www.octetstring.com
    It will take you all of 30 minutes to get iPlanet Web Server authenticated against and using groups from things like Oracle RDBMS, Windows NT Domains, or Active Directory.

  • Configuring IISExpress as default web server for multiple TFS workspaces in VS2013

    I am trying to configure VS2013 so that IISExpress works in a similar way to the builtin web server (Cassini) in VS2010.
    For the past year or so, I have worked with multiple local TFS workspaces for a web site which all map the same TFS branch. When running the web site, the solution sets a default port which is used if I only have one VS 2010 instance in use. If I use multiple
    instances, a new random port is assigned, but the instance works fine and I can debug both sessions without problem.
    Having installed VS2013, the 'internal' web server is no longer provided, so I have to use IISExpress. I cannot figure out how to configure this to work the same way as the server in VS2010.
    As far a I can tell, IISExpress always uses the workspace folders on the first site specified in the applicationhost.config file. If I create a second site, it seems to be ignored and the second instance uses the files in the first set of folders!
    Reading elsewhere, it seems it might be possible to get IISExpress to use a second workspace folder by editing the config file every time, but (a) this is tedious and (b) something, probably IISExpress, rewrites the file at various times, so it's not clear
    whether changes would persist.
    I can't believe I'm the only developer using VS2013 who regularly will be working on a new feature for a website and want to bring up a second instance of in using either a workspace which does not have the changes made in the first or even another site
    with a different set of changes and have them run smoothly in parallel! VS2010's internal web server just worked!

    Hi Derek Dongray,
    You are posting on Visual Studio Setup forum which talks about Visual Studio installation problems. If you need to know how to set your IISExpress, please post on this forum instead:

  • Iweb pages hosted on a web server do not look right. Funny characters appea

    any web experts here?
    I have designed a bunch of pages in iWeb. Published them and uploaded them to my web host. However when I view the files via the web, they are not correct. The most obvious is that quote marks, bullets and paragraph markers are shown with funny characters.
    Take a look at www.dancingacademy.co.uk to see an example. Excuse the URL but its the only way I know of showing an example of what's wrong.
    If I view the files locally on my mac (ie publish from iweb to a folder and open them from the local folder) then the files look fine.
    It's only when they get sent from a webserver they look funny.
    Any ideas what my web hosting company is doing wrong?

    The server you are using is (mis)configured to force all browsers to use the wrong encoding. See this note (Server Settings section) for possible fixes:

  • Programatically accessing certificate data on Sun Java Web Server

    Hi - I have set up Sun Java Webserver 7.x to do client auth. When the client cert is presented to the webserver, I need to capture the data and send it to the app server using the javax.security.cert.X509Certificate class
    I am not creating a webapp/war file. The webserver is the front end for a Broadvision (old school, I know) portal. I tried to create a custom authentication realm, but the webserver could not find the class file, (i assume because it is not associated with a webapp).
    I know i am bucking the trend by not going the webapp route, but this seems to be a simple enough thing - i just don't know where to put the code and how to configure the webserver to see/execute the code.

    more on my problem can be seen here:
    [http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5370956&tstart=0|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5370956&tstart=0]
    the big picture is this - I have an existing Broadvision portal app (in struts) that has only used the webserver as a webserver - no code ever executes on the webserver, it is merely a gateway to the portal app code. At this point, however, I would like to capture client certificate data when it is presented to the webserver and put that data in the request object to be accessed by the portal code. I have written a servlet filter that resides in a webapp on the webserver, but it never gets executed. The initial page presented by the app has the URL http://xxx.xxx.uscg.mil/cgi-bin/ghamrick/portal/ep/home.do, so you're already in the struts app and there is no way to execute the servlet filter.
    I am thinking that i might put an initial page up with links for 'Direct Login' ie login via the Broadvision app, and 'CAC Login', ie login with certificate on CAC Card. I didn't think that it would be this hard to capture cert data and provide it to the Broadvision app
    Thanks for the reply - Gregg

  • Newbie, How Do you transfer a site from Remote Host to Local Web Server

    already exists to my local IIS server. I cannot figure it
    out. I keep going in circles with Manage Sites, creating the folder
    in the Inetpub/wwwroot folder and I need some help to get the whole
    site locally so I can work on it. I use to use Frontpage but my
    developers cannot stand the extra code it puts in and it's not

    Thanks for all the help in advance.

    In the file panel, view the remote site and select the top

  • Accessing RMI Application through an Applet hosted on Apache web server

    Hi All,
    Just to let you know, I'm a complete novice at RMI. Ok, heres the story...I have an applet which is deployed on Apache Webserver (localhost), with the neccessary files needed for the RMI app in the same directory - htdocs(i.e. Applet class, RMI Interface, and Stub). I have the object server running on the same machine - which is in the directory C:/pumps. For the binding I'm using rmi://localhost/PumpService. I'm running the rmiregistry in the C directory. The problem is that when I access the applet through localhost(i.e. http://localhost/pumps.htm) it doesnt work, doesnt seem to access the remote object. However, if I directly load the html page from C:/Apache2/htdocs/pumps.htm - it works perfectly. Any ideas on the way I could get it working through the localhost?
    Thanks...

    The problem is that
    when I access the applet through localhost(i.e.
    http://localhost/pumps.htm) it doesnt work, doesnt
    seem to access the remote object.Are the exception and the line of code you get it on a secret?

  • Keepalive for Single web server with Multiple URLs

    We require to configure CSS ( cisco 11500 series) switch configuration. Currently we have the settings mentioned below :
    1. We have two IIS servers behind CSS switch hosting multiple websites for load balancing.
    2. Keepalive type we are using is HTTP-HEAD
    3. There is one virtual IP assigned to the CSS switch for all websites.
    Now we have to provide the keep-alive URIs for the CSS switch. I am not sure which URI we have to provide for keepalive status check.
    As per my understanding
    1. there would be DNS entries for the websites pointing to the VIP of the CSS switch
    e.g abc.com --> VIP
    xyz.com --> VIP
    aaa.com --> VIP
    2. Name based virtual hosting to be configured on IIS server (i.e host header configuration)
    3. We have to provide the URI for the keepalive prameters. As there are multiple websites are hosted on the server,firstly , is it possible in CSS switch to configure multiple keepalives for different websites ? secondly is it possible to give the complete URL (http://abc.com ) in the URI parameter of keepalive settings ? typically these settings are like
    IP address : < IP address of Node >
    URI : /index.html
    I am not clear how this all settings will work. What is the ideal way or best practice of configuring the load balancing in the scenario of multiple websites to be hosted on IIS servers with CSS switch loadbalancer.
    Is it correct to assign 1 VIP for multiple websites on server nodes?
    Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance.

    We have done this multiple ways.
    1. we did port mapping on the backend.
    server www1
    ip address x.x.x.x
    keepalive type http
    keepalive port 80
    keepalive uri "/lb.htm"
    acitve
    server www2
    ip address x.x.x.x {same as above}
    keepalive type http
    keepalive port 81
    keepalive uri "/lb.htm"
    active
    or via host header checking
    2.
    service www1-1
    ip address x.x.x.x
    keepalive type script ap-kal-httptag "www1-1 /lb.htm www1"
    active
    service www2-1
    ip address x.x.x.x {same as above}
    keepalive type script ap-kal-httptag "www2-1 /lb.htm www2"
    active
    With the script ap-kal-httptag, you will need to have dns entries that the CSS will be able to resolve to the individual web site addreses.

    It looks like a Java classpath issue, but I've verified (even in the same log file with java debugging turned on) that the SSLSocket class is getting loaded.
    I've posted a similar message on a couple other forums (Java and iPlanet-related) and haven't found an answer yet. Does anyone have any ideas?
    John

    In case anyone else experiences this, I have apparently stumbled upon an issue with iPlanet's handling a specified JRE/JDK instead of the supplied JDK in iPlanet (SunONE) Web Server v6.0, SP5, though I found a way around it to resolve my problem.
    I had been specifying a different JRE to run with through iPlanet's administrative server manager.
Specification of a complete JDK to override the supplied one will resolve this, and the portal server appears to work fine now in any security mode setting when hosted on iPlanet Web Server (SunONE), even though Plumtree doesn't support that as a host server application.

  • Can't parse xml file in jar file when  can't connect to web server

    My JNLP application throw ConnectException when trying to parse xml during web server offline.
    Steps,
    1. JNLP application has been launched once and all related jar and xml files are already downloaded to local cache.
    2. Then I close web server to test offline launch.I launch the JNLP application using shortcut with -offline parameter.
    3. However the JRE internal xml parser tries to connect to web server and report connection error as web server is down now.
    My concern is the file is already in the cache, why java still try to connect URL. This error happens in JRE 1.5, but it doesn't happen in JRE 1.6. It only happens when web server is down in JRE 1.5.
    I think it may be a bug of JRE, do any one can give me some hint about how to resolve?
    Thanks in advance!!
    I also moved the code piece to a simple web start example, following it the error and code pieces.

              doc = db.parse(is, sysId);
              is.close();
              return doc;
         }

    I finally got a temperary work around for this issue, using JRE5 version lower than update 16(not include update 16).
    i found Sun modify the URL which returned by XXX.class.getClassLoader().getResource("xml/Test.xml,") after update 15, previous it is related with the cache path, like C:\Users\epenwei\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javaws\http\Dlocalhost\P80\DMEntriView\DMapp\AMNotepad.jar!/xml/Test.xml, but after it changes to network path, like http://localhost/Notepad/app/notepad.jar!/xml/Test.xml. However, the latter address doesn't work in Sun's own class com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLEntityManager.setupCurrentEntity if offline.It tried to create new URL then connect to web server. So exception is thrown since web server is down.
    if (reader == null) {
    stream = xmlInputSource.getByteStream();
    if(stream != null && encoding != null)
    declaredEncoding = true;
    if (stream == null) {
    URL location = new URL(expandedSystemId);
    URLConnection connect = location.openConnection();
    if (connect instanceof HttpURLConnection) {
         setHttpProperties(connect,xmlInputSource);
    I am not sure whether it is a Java new bug since I only read the codes and didn't debug Sun code. But I am very curious that I have already specify <j2se version="1.5.0_12" href="http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se" /> to specify update 12 for my jws application. And I also see the Java console display like following
    Java Web Start 1.5.0_18
    Using JRE version 1.5.0_12 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
    Why java still uses my latest jre lib to run my application?
