Jspx opens with a default encoding of windows-1252. Can this jspx webpage be opened on an appl mac machine with the same encoding?

Getting null value while parsing "XML String" with encoding WINDOWS-1252.

when I am converting the Follwoing "xml string " to Document, I am getting the "null" as a document value.
    String strXML = "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="WINDOWS-1252"?>
                          <category name="SearchByAttributes" value="Search By Attributes">
                            <item name="ORDER_LINE_ID" description="Application Search Attributes" >
                               <attribute name="Sequence" value="0001"/>
                             </item>
                            </category>"
My "xml string" has the encoding vaule: WINDOWS-1252.
I am using the following code to convert the "xml string" to Document. I am getting the Document values as a "null" while converting the above "string xml"
        String strXML = //my above string xml.
        DocumentBuilderFactory docBuilderFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
        docBuilderFactory.setIgnoringElementContentWhitespace(true);

(without the rest of the code, i'm guessing that) most likely you are grabbing the first child node of the item element. however, you are not accounting for some text nodes that are most likely in that list, like the whitespace between the item element and the attribute element. please go read some tutorials on xml, there are thousands of them out there, and they will answer all you initial questions much more efficiently than posting each step to the forums.

Deployment of JSP to Weblogic6.1: Encoding windows-1252" not supported

When i try to deploy my JSP aaplication deployment 'webapp1.deploy' to Weblogic6.1, the following error raised:

I have tried to change the endoding setting of project but no changes updated.

Change the character encoding to UTF-8 in the project settings
Double-click on the project settings.
Select Compiler
Change character encoding.

Specifies that the given message is xml
<ns0:MT_SELL xmlns:ns0="http://test.com/Sell">
Specifies its a MessageType of the payload, without this that message is not identifies and is not processed. Its manditory to have these. Other wise error will raise.

Hi, I have a message which must contain XML inside XML, this internal one must start off with the <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> string.
Is there a nice trick for inserting this before an element? (not at the beginning of the mapping, a specific place further inside the XML).
All of the other elements are mapped as part of the message type.

Did you check Message Mapping : Play around with target structure .
You can do this easily with UDF.

You can use XSLT and add
<xsl:output method="text" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" omit-xml-declaration="yes"/>
in your output declaration

I having the follow problem.
I have a anyType field inside a wsdl interface. when i invoke the web service, the resulting value is that:

I don't know the XMLBeans Framework, but this header is called XML declaration.
In general there are options to configure this (i. e. setOption("omit-xml-declaration", false);).
Anyway, I don't know the exact syntax in this framework but have a look at this, maybe it helps somehow.

Well, it is a pretty important line. Why do you need it removed? Anything that really processes XML knows how to read it and determine what encoding was used. That is vital, if you look at the number of questions posted here about foreign language text in XML. If you really have a text processsor that knows how to open a file called something.xml, and knows how to process or ignore most of the pointy bracket things, but not this one, it is time to fix it.

If I change my document header from <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> to <?xml version="1.0"?> then it parses without error. Will this situation change if I intall ORACLE_HOME? If so, why do I need to install ORACLE_HOME to get the XML Parser to work?
