I suspect the salesperson that told you that meant your online account with your carrier...have you tried logging into your carrier account online? To do this will require the sim number on your sim card, as well as the phone's IMEI number...you get the sim number off the sim card & the IMEI number, for the phone, is printed on the box.

Sorry for the long title - I thought I had to explain my entire problem there ...
I recently switched ISPs, so now I have a new email address. I've updated mail, can send and receive successfully, recreated my iCloud account, and made sure my Contacts entry was correct. But Calendar's alert function stubbornly tries to send email to my old email address. I haven't found any way to change the list of email addresses that Calendar uses. This is the Calendar desktop app, not iCal. Any tips would be appreciated.So what was the solution. I have a similar problem on all of my devices now

I have an iPad mini, I am connected to my work wireless connection. My printer also is on the same wireless network, however I am not able to print to my airprint enabled printer through this wireless connection. Is there a way to direct connect to the printer via a cable ?
I am missing something here on the connection. I am thinking possibly a firewall here at work will not allow me to use the airprint function. Help ?There is no support for wired printing.
It is probably a firewall issue, possibly where all inbound communications are blocked. Since you're at work, I'd call your work IT department and find out from them what you can/can't do. -
Every time I manually ask computer to go see if there is any new update after several seconds it will come back and say that I'm up to date. I am skeptical that I am up to date. Is there a way of checking a log somewhere in the computer that will show me if indeed I''ve been taking software updates all 2013?

I Have a Ipod Classic that all my music is on.
After my previous computer crashed I have not had any of my music able to be transfered to the new computer from the Ipod.
Is there a way to do this?Unfortunately, unless you have a backup and can restore the iTunes library to the new computer, you are stuck with the current state of the iPod. This is one of those things that makes doing backups so important.
Unless your music is all purchased from iTunes (not from your own CD's that you imported into iTunes and then downloaded to the iPod), you will be able to re-download all your iTunes store music back to the iPod when you install iTunes on the new computer. When you first attach the iPod to the new computer and new iTunes the first time it will tell you that this iPod is synced with another iTunes library and let you initialize the iPod (which will erase everything on the iPod - so don't do this unless you don't care about the stuff on the iPod now).
I've seen 3rd party apps in the past that will let you copy music/content from iPod to computer and bypass iTunes, but not sure if they still exist as this was several years ago.

I have cs4 installed on my old computer, i have since lost the disk and serial #s. Is there any way to recover this information and install the programs on my new computer? I used my old computer for college and haven't used it in awhile, now I have a job that can benefit from having those programs. I was wondering if ADOBE keeps records or something to where I can download the programs on my new MacBook and use my old serial #s.

Why do I have to pay extra for something that I already bought? Shouldn't I be able to have access to my music even if its not through apple? This is ridiculous when I go to the store and buy a CD I'm not relegated to only playing it on one CD player
iTunes Plus is the name for the option in iTunes that allows customers to buy music at the iTunes Store that is free from digital rights management, or DRM.
Digital Rights Management, or DRM, is designed to prevent unauthorized sharing of files. This especially became a big concern for the music industry after the rise of Napster, Limewire, and Kazaa.
DRM, even the DRM used by Apple on iTunes Store content, prevented that. Apple's DRM allowed users to share files on only up to 5 computers.
According to TUAW, the new iTunes Plus songs have information embedded in them that identifies the user who bought and shared them by name.
This means that if you share your music and record companies want to track you down and sue for you copyright infringement, it's going to be easy.

While playing music on my iphone 5, i am now unable to play, pause, or skip songs while my phone is locked. I can still change the volume and scrub through songs. This has always worked for me until now. As far as i know, i have not changed any settings. This is whle my phone is locked both on the slide up toolbar/menu interface and on the normal screen before i slide to unlock.
I skimmed through this very long post but from what I read, this sounds much more like a coverage issue with your network than a device issue. I have not seen or heard of this issue before and I do not have this issue personnally and & I use the music app quite frequently while working in the yard.
The DND feature should not be a factor at all if you're sure it's turned off. I always recommend restarting your phone by holding down the home button + the lock button for 10-12 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Once the phone reboots, do a test to see if this has helped to resolve the issue.
If not, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then, test it out again. Post back if neither of these solutions solve your issue. -
I heard that there was a problem with Apple being vulnerable to Hackers. Has anyone seen an update for this issue? My IPad received the update last night but I have not seen anything for Safari.
Mac OS X 10.9.2 was released today for this issue and others. Earlier versions are not affected.

My daughter downloaded a bunch of apps and I need to know how to get them reversed. I have not received any email receipts, but the charges have shown up on my bank account. This has all happened within the last couple of hours. I have tried numerous times to "report a problem" but am not having any success. Keeps redirecting me to support. Record about my phone (bought in Verizon store and connected to Verizon for 4 years) has been corrupted and now I can not make any changes to my data plan. Several sessions with the technical support and management have not resolved this issue. Each time technical people and top managers promised that this issue will be resolve tomorrow and they will cal me. Nothing happend!! I can not even cancel my service not just to upgrade it. Completely locked.

If you are the account owner you can go to the My Verizon web portal http://www.verizonwireless.com
You must log in with your cell number and your my Verizon portal password. Not the account pin.
Once there you can change your plan and services. However repeated incorrect login attempts will lock you out of the site. It a fraud prevention measure.
1-800-922-0204 call support with your cell number and or account number and account pin and they can assist you.
If you don't have the information then there is nothing they can do.
If you can verify who you are they may be able to reset your account access. But only if you are the account owner.
