Yahoo and Gmail are missing push inbox option in iOS 6.1.4
Dear all,
I would really appreciate of someone comes with a solution for push notifications using yahoo and gmail on iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4.
I am missing option for push notifications in bough email accounts (yahoo and gmail).
I have read somewhere that it has been cut for the native companies. If this is the case then I am missing some of the most distinguished features on the iPhone because these are the email account I am regularly using.
I have tried with yahoo and gmail apps but it seems it is ot working for me well. I would rather have integrated email in the mail app.
Any comments, suggestions and informations will be very appreciated.

Gmail does not support push email in the native iOS mail app. I can't comment on Yahoo as I dumped them years ago because their servers were so unreliable.
If it makes you unhappy, contact Google and Yahoo. There's nothing anyone else can do about it.

It would be nice if you told others the steps you've tried and/or how you used to have your setup.
Anyway have you tried tapping MORE this will then bring you to
the selection-list of Audiobooks, Genres, Compilations & Composers.
Selecting Genres gives you a list of all your music split into genres which was set within the Music downloaded via iTunes or uploaded from CD or which you may have set yourself.
Then you just select the Genre you want:
If certent songs are not correctly gategorised you may need to go into iTunes and reselect via Get-info
>Info>Genre and change it there. That way you should end up with all songs of Jazz or other in 1 place. -
I am having difficulty with my mail function on my MacBook Pro. The mail function is not shutting down and continues to try and access the mail accounts that I have set up in Yahoo and Gmail. Now I am unable to close the application. I forced a close last night when I powered down.

Can't !. Say signed in to email websites for yahoo and gmail, and i've upgraded to firefox 3.6 to try to solve problem and the options for selecting answers are not available to me (for instance did search for "cookies.squilte" and either that or profile folder search brought up anything like the forum answers indicated were successful. 3. tried select "remember PW" in options answers but no cookies show up to except/remove so that is not an option. "Application Data" in XP/Win2K and "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders, use %APPDATA% in the File name field.

i'm using a macbook pro retina, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB. operating OSX Yosemite 10.10.1
everything on my desktop disappeared. i've managed to make my HD reappear on my desktop but my files etc are nowhere to be found. i tried using the finder to locate specific files and they are missing. Help! I foolishly filled up my desktop with piles of screen grabs and folders - no doubt that was the cause... what do i do, aside from punish myself for being so stupid?Could you have logged into another account?
If you go to System Preferences>Users and Accounts what accounts are listed?
To show users at login go to the Login Options of chanck the box that says show list of users.

* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar

On the disappeared folders, try this first...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
On the screen issue, do you have System Preferences>Energy Saver>Sleep, set to Put Display to sleep in xx minutes? -
When I attempt to log on to I tunes I get the following message:
"The registry settings used by the I Tunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing.
This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please re-install I Tunes."
To my knowledge no new software has been installed. I have tried un-installing and re-installing I Tunes but I still
get the same message.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? Do I need to download a new driver?
Bill MartinI can get down as far as step 11 but it shows nothing about upper filters and when I type on "If the Upper Filters entry is missing follow these instructions" nothing happens
Do you mean you can't see the instructions on what to do if there is no UpperFilters entry?
If so, here's the relevant instructions for that step:
On the right side of the Registry Editor window, right-click the UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu.
Right-click the empty white space within the right-hand portion of the Registry Editor window. From the shortcut menu, choose New > Multi-String Value.
Name this new value "UpperFilters" (without the quotes). Then, right-click the newly created UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu. -

I tried to resync again, reopening the account but it appears an advise telling: the contact sync coulnd't not be done, please train again later. I tried later many times but I cant. When I click on itunes, I get a message that says, "the registry settings used by the itune drivers for importing and burning cds and dvds are missing. this can result from installing other cd burning software. Are you running into this issue with one PDF in particular, or with any PDF that you open? Did the PDF display correctly previously? How was that PDF created?
For starters, please choose File > Properties and click the Fonts tab. What fonts are used in the PDF? Are they "embedded" or "subsetted."
