Yahoo email not updating after latest ios update?

I updated my iphone 5 to the latest ios version yeaterday and ever since my yahoo email will not update unless I go into mail app and refresh it. Is this a bug with the ios update or something with Yahoo mail? I also have a gmail account but it seems to be working ok. Hard to tell though as it does not get as much email. Any help would be apprecaited.

no, you need to actually go to your settings and change it to push data rather then fetch it manually.
Settings>mail contacts and calendars>fetch new data>Push should say on.
and if it says its already on, tap it to turn it off, then tap again to turn it back on.
also, www.downrightnow.com you can see how extremely often throughout the day yahoo mail servers are down.

See if your iOS device, computer, and wireless plan all meet the system requirements for Personal Hotspot.
Make sure Personal Hotspot is on: Tap Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.
Check the Internet connection on your iOS device: Tap Safari and load a new webpage.
If one connection type doesn't work, try another. For example, instead of connecting using Wi-Fi, use USB or Bluetooth.
Turn Personal Hotspot off and on: Tap Settings > Personal Hotspot or Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.
Install the latest version of iOS.
Reset your network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Was hoping to delete it and then add it.

ok, I figured this out, go to accounts box, then hit the minus sign. Nothing I read had mentioned this.

So, after IOS 7.0.3 update my phone email server settings for bellsouth.net would not work which they did previously...............I had to manually configure the settings as follows:
Pre IOS 7.0.3: (worked flawlessly prior to update)
pop.att.yahoo.com...............using port 995 with SSL checked
smtp.att.yahii.com...............using port 465 with SSL chekced
After IOS 7.0.3 update: (worked flawlessly, previous settings would not work)
inbound.att.net....................using port 995 with SSL checked
outbound.att.net..................using port 464 with SSL checked
After IOS 7.0.4 update.....Nothing has changed and neither of the settings work. Account has been deleted, and added back with automatic settings and both of the manual settings above to no avail. I downloaded the latest update for my Iphone 4s 2 days ago. My POP3 email stopped sending emails- could not connect to server immediately. Then a day later I stopped receiving emails- same message. I have performed first a reset, then a full factory reset and after initially working last night I am getting the same message when trying to send emails this morning. I received a test mail that I sent from my Imac BUT I am in my house and think that this is probably through my modem in the house- Wi Fi. How can I get my POP3 account working WITHOUT going on line through Safari- long winded and inconvenient.

What "Adobe update" are you referring to? Adobe Flash Player? Adobe Reader? Something else? (Adobe produces countless products/services, so we need to know what got updated on your computer.)
Are you using the Adobe Send service? Note that you posted your question in a forum that's used for suggesting new features for that service.
Can you attach other files to emails, but not just PDFs?
What email program are you using?

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

hi I have a problem with my email not updateing working fine on iPhone but not on iPad i have 3 other accounts on the iPad which are all updateing and being pushed through but not my email have tried delete and adding again twice but nothing any ideas

Email not updating

Am having problems with my emails not updating on icloud.com as well as on my mac.
I can receive new emails on both my Iphone and my ipad, but they do not show up within the mail app on my mac or on icloud.com either.
I have tried the usual delete account from mac and reenter, but this has had no effect, and not sure how to "reset" on the icloud website.
Any ideas will be gratefully received.

same issue here... And a restore didn't do any good either.
Try backing up your information to iTunes, and Restore your devices as new with no content on it what-so-ever. If the issue persists after that, this may be a hardware issue. Check your Mic's for debris, and remove the case you have on the device as well to see if you have the same results. Then contact Apple Support if all else fails.
