Yahoo mail using firefox and windows 7 drops graphics text in boxes???

when in yahoo mail, the graphics text within action boxes, ie, send; move etc do not display. sometimes the box outlines do not display. any fix? site works fine with IE. was using 3.6 , tried going to beta 4 but has same problem

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

You don't have to disable any addons or extentions!!!You guys are not going to believe this I figured out the problem it's really dumb...ok here goes the attachment uploader loads seperate so I got to thinking it's a popup so I went to options content and under block pop ups there is an option exceptions click on that and in the box type firefox.com and hit allow pow its fixed!!!!! :-)

Why don't I see the 'Emoticons' and 'Format' tabs when composing a message in the new Yahoo Mail, using Firefox, but I do when using Internet Explorer?

I have been using the new Yahoo Mail on Firefox. But today I noticed that when I write an email (Compose/Reply/Forward), I cannot format it. Only the 'Attachments' tab is present, but the 'Emoticons' and 'Format' tabs are not.
But when I do it using Internet Explorer, all those tabs are present and I can format and do whatever.
Is there something wrong with my Firefox? I have restarted my computer, I have shut it down, but my Yahoo Mail remains problematic when using Firefox.

The rest of Yahoo works fine. Yahoo chat helped me isolate problem to this computer and this browser.

You can share Mail, Calendars, and Contacts running Snow Leopard. Based on my experience, I don't recommend syncing Contacts - created a lot of problems with duplicates.

I can log into my yahoo home page using Firefox. I can't link from my yahoo page to yahoo mail using Firefox. Help!

I get a failure message saying: “The requested URL /mc/welcome was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny9 with Suhosin-Patch Server at us.mc1120.mail.yahoo.com Port 80″ I have deleted all cookies, flushed my DNS and temp files. Problem persists... I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 3.6 and then upgraded to Firefox 4. Firefox appears to function okay in all my other browsing use. If I use IE as a browser The yahoo mail link functions correctly. I suspect that Firefox or an add-on that I don’t see listed under tools/ add-ons may be rejecting the URL “redirect” as a Phishing .attempt??? This has been going on for 2 weeks several attempts a day. Don’t just say the server is busy , try later because Firefox fails, IE works as well as the IE Tab for Firefox problem revolves around Firefox and yahoo email. I have run Norton and Spy sweeper too no problems. When I enable the Google toolbar I will get a similar error "Oops! This link appears broken." Any Help GREATLY appreciated!

Problem with touchpad using firefox and windows 8.1. I don't have a problem with explorer 11.

new HP computer with windows 8.1. Firefox does not work well with the touch pad when scrolling . very slow and erratic, most noticeable when using facebook. I don't have this problem when using Internet Explorer 11.

Suddenly, I can't login to yahoo email using Firefox on windows 7

I load Firefox on windows 7 and go to Yahoo. I get to the sign in page for email and it lets me enter my account and password but the program won't go any further. I can't access Yahoo email at all. It works on Safari.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You may want to check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so involved preferences can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
Rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default value.

I can't open yahoo mail using Firefox

I have a Mac. I've been using firefox to check my yahoo email for years, then about a week ago, I can't open my yahoo email. No problem searching yahoo website, just can't open email. No problem opening it using Safari.

I use Firefox and Windows 7, when I'm using my main account on computer it starts old version of firefox and when I use the guest account it start the new version. Why and how to fix it?

Guy that repairs my computer asked me if i saved new firefox just on guest account, but i didn't, i re-installed it again and again.

Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

My yahoo mail is going to windows explorer and I want firefox for default

I found my e-mail on internet explorer instead of firefox. this is mail from my on-line school that I need to have it on mozilla firefox. and I thought firefox was my default browser.

When using yahoo mail on firefox, when replying to emails the first letter has started to not record/appear. not an issue with my clicking, rather firefox recording the letter/digit. this does not appear to be an issue on Safari or Chrome.

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

thanks so much for your posts back. I really appreciate it and yes that does help to know that you could not get it working.
I did have some success, in removing the SSL Authentication checkbox in the smtp server settings - I found that this allowed my friend to be able to send mail from the mail app via his sbcglobal (yahoo) account.
So that did help but of course the messages do not have ssl encryption and I'm not sure how big a deal that is for an individual. He is able to receive mail but unless the SSL authentication box is unchecked, he cannot send.
i hope that helps anyone out there also!
