  • Error when posting Down payment with reference to down payment request

    Hi Experts,
In October of 2010 we upgraded from version SAP 4.7 to version 604 SAPKH60406.
With this upgrade we decided to select the following FM setting:
"Flag to activate down payment request update to PO history"
If this flag is set, down payment requests are updated to the purchase order history. In addition, when you create a down payment referencing this down payment request , the down payment request is cleared by the down payment.
Use- Set this flag if you want to see the down payment requests  in the purchase order history.
So, since October 2010, the Down payment requests have been updated to the PO history (note - no update of the down payment request was made to the PO status tab) and the down payments (made with reference to the down payment request) have been clearing the DP requests.
Today we have applied packages SAPKH60407 - SAPKH60409 and we are in the process of testing.
Now we are experiencing errors when processing down payments:
    1. create the down payment request (F-47) - this is OK
    2. create the down payment (F-48) with reference to the down payment request - ERROR MESSAGE F5373 - "Order value will be exceeded"
Can anyone please explain why this is happening?  We would like to keep the "Flag to activate DPR update to PO history" ON
as it has been since October 2010.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

  • Down Payment Request not reflecting as a 2nd Item in Invoice

    Dear All,
I have created a Sales Order of 10000 USD (Sales Order contains Milestone Billing Plan). I have created a Down Payment Request ZFAZ of 3000 USD. When I am creating a next Invoice in Billing Plan the Down Payment Request i created is not coming as a second Line Item so that it has to be off-set. I have checked all configurations in Copy Control.
Could you tell me what exactly is the Issue.
    Thanks,
    Parag.

    Hi Parag
If the downpayment process is fully configured and a downpayment is booked and cleared
using transaction F-29 then the downpayment should be found in VF01 when the first 'real' invoice
is created. For this to work the downpayment document (FAZ) need copy routine 020 in place
and the 'real' billing documents need to have routine 023 in place.
When creating a 'real' invoice the system calls function module SD_DOWNPAYMENT_READ
and it reads the FI tables BSID/BSAD and retrieves the downpayment posted in F-29.
If SD_DOWNPAYMENT_READ gets called and doesn't find a downpayment line
then something is wrong with the FI posting (was it posted in F-29, are VBEL2 & POSN2 filled ?)
If SD_DOWNPAYMENT_READ doesn't get called in VF01 sometihng is wrong with your SD
customising. Do you have routine 023 in place.
Check your case again and let us know how you get on
    Kind regards

  • How to Reconcile payment with invoice made gaainst down payment request

    Dear All,
There is a down payment request against which an incoming payment has been made. The actual ar invoice is booked at a later date. Now How do I reconcile the payment made with this invoice. When I try to reconcile it with the invoice using internal reconciliation it gives an error, you cannot reconcile a payment made against down payment request from here.
Please suggest if you know any solution for the same.
    Regards,
    Husein

    Hi Neeraj............
I think there is no need to reconcile as its already a linked with AR Invoice. WHen you do incoming payment on the basis of AR Down Payment then it that down payment reference you should give to AR Invoice. Have you given such link as its provision is there in SAP.......

    Hi Heather,
I have found the same problem too.
In SAP Business 2005A, we allow to do Internal Reconciliation on this Downpayment Request with 100% and the Invoice.
The only differences is this Invoice with status Closed.
But In SAP Business 2007A, we not allow to do Internal Reconciliation on this Downpayment Request with 100% and the Invoice.
The only differences is this Invoice with status Open compared in 2005A.
I have checked in both version 2005A and 2007A Journal Entry, there is nothing wrong on it.
Why this happen in version 2007A?
Hope Jitin can answer our Question.

  • How to reconcile AR down payment Request with AR Invoice?

    Dear All,
    SAP B1 2007A SP01 PL07 version.
I have created one AR down payment Request with total amount 1000.00, and then post incoming payment to paid the AR down payment Request, and the AR downpayment request then closed.
Then, I add one AR Invoice with amount 1000.00.
After that, I want to add incoming payment , then I select both (AR downpayment request & AR invoice), but cannot add the incoming payment because the total amount is zero (1000.00 - 1000.00=0.00).
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Kerstin,
    Thank you for you reply.
I did test your solution, but its only work for SAP 8.8. But now i'm working in SAP 2007A version. For 2007A version, downpayment request cannot be drawn to invoice.
Anyway, i find out one way. If I add the payment together with another invoice, thats mean the total payment is not zero, then its work. The solution is, make sure the total payment is not zero then it should be ok.
Thanks to everybody for your fast reply. Thank you so much and really appreciate your help.

    tx for your help,

It appears that you are using ConnectionFactoryName. First be sure to
set a ConnectionFactory2Name which will be a non-transactional (in terms
of global transaction) DataSource for sequence generation for which you
are seeing here. There are also some issues with JBoss's connection
pooling on certain dbs if you are still seeing the problem after this.
If so, try setting ConnectionURL, ConnectionPassword, etc explicitly

I live where we only have dial-up and the Apple Store said this is what I need. In addition, when I connect the phone to the connecter it falls out, it will not click in.

  • 'You cannot use the application ical.app with this version of Mac OS X'

When I first upgraded to 10.5 ical and calculator both crashed when starting and now after upgrading to 10.5.1 I get the following message - 'You cannot use the application ical.app with this version of Mac OS X'
This is only on my G4 powermac. No problem with Intel MacBook.

Are you, by any chance, one of "those people" that move applications to something other than the default location?
    I know I am.
When I upgraded, I saw the same problem - I had moved iCal (among others) outside of "applications" to something like "Applications/Business Apps"
The version in "Business Apps" was the Tiger version, and it wouldn't run. However, the Leopard version (Installed to /Applications) worked fine.
So, I deleted the "Tiger" version, moved the iCal to where I wanted it, and all was well.
In a similar note, I put a number of iLive apps in a different folder -- and OS X software update stopped finding updates for those apps. I had to move them back to /Applications in order to get OS X software update to run them.

  • You cannot use the application "System Preferences" with this version OS X

You cannot use the application “System Preferences” with this version of Mac OS X.
I received this error message when trying to run System Preferences (SP) for the first time after running the 10.5.1 update (from the download, not software update). After the update, I repaired permissions. Did another restart. Same.
I reinstalled 10.5.1 update. Same message. Logged in as another user. No change.
I removed the com.apple.systempreferences.plist from ~/library/preferences. No change, and it did not re-create the .plist file.
Any ideas? No one else seems to be having this problem as far as I can tell.
    dkrockville

I have had this problem with many applications after updating to 10.5.1, including
System Preferences, Calculator, Preview. Tried repairing permissions, and other tips from this thread. The strange thing is, the actual Leopard applications seem to have actually vanished? I don't know if this is anything to do with Time Machine; Anyway, My fix was:
Download Pacifist (if you don't already have it), locate the apps that you're having problems with on the Leopard install DVD, and copy them to the Applications Folder (Click on 'Replace Bundle')
    Problem Solved for Me!
    Hope this Helps!

  • Reconciliation of a A/R Down Payment Request and a A/R Invoice

I want to do a reconciliation of a A/R Down Payment Request (100% paid of a total ) with a A/R Invoice. I want to do an internal reconciliation through BP> Internal Reconciliation > Reconciliation . A/R Down Payment Request is for 100% of the document total. I cannot create a Down Payment with the Down Payment Request and the invoice because the total es 0.00 . So I need to make an internal reconciliation. But when I select both documents, and press the reconcile button, the following errrors apears Payment transactions applied to down payment requests cannot be reconciled here   [Message 3821-19] How do I reconcile both documents ?

    Hi,
The concept of Downpayment is to have the advance payment received booked in the system by creating a downpayment request/invoice.
In your case the Downpayment Request is 100%, so it becomes difficult to apply the same to the Invoice in the Payment window.
Through Internal Reconciliation window, the same cannot be reconciled. Check Note no. : 1340606 regarding the system behavior.
The following options can be checked in the COPY of the database :
    1) Option of applying the Downpayment Request and the Invoice and making a payment of 0.01 cent and then transfering the same to the Rounding account.
    2) Checking the option of AR Reserve invoice in case there is 100% Downpayment.
Please check and consult the account of the company.

  • Down Payment Request can't be reconcilled

    Dear Experts,
I have created a A/P Down Payment Request and did payment for the same via outgoing payment of amount 2000
After that, i have created a manual JE for the same Vendor for amount 2000 cr and dr 2000 on Cash Acc.
Now, i tried to reconcill both 2000 Amounts in BP Internal Reconcilation. System throwing me a error like Payment Transcations applied to DownPayment Request cannot be reconciled here
Since i have two different control Accounts for my BP, one for DownPayment and other for Accounts Payable, i can't use A/P DownPayment Invoice.

    Hi,
You are right that control a/c can be changed in JE.
The statement which i posted in my previous reply corresponds to BP internal reconciliation only.
As you are aware that in by choosing the gl (reconciliation) the control a/c will not be displayed.
In 2005B version only the your requirement was feasible i.e., after making the manual je(by changing control a/c) to transfer the balance from the defaul control a/c to downpayment control a/c, you can go the internal reconcilition from the banking module there is an dropdown option to choose control a/c for the BP.This is the option which i was refering to.
And as per the note 1340606 refered by Kristen this is not possible.Hope now i have clarified

  • Down payment request for other special GL transactions

    Hi ALL,
Is it possible to post down payment request for other special GL transactions?
If not , I Have a scenario that I have to generate down payment request with different alternative reconciliation accounts , but same reconciliation account.
As we cannot assign different alternative reconciliation accounts for same reconciliation account  in special GL indicator "F- down payment request), how to post down payment request with different alternative reconciliation accounts?
Even though I have created different special GL indicators for different alternative reconciliations accounts with same reconciliation accounts, I couldn't post down payment request, only down payment is possible. how to solve?
    regs,
    ramesh b

    Please do the following
    1. Activate Reconciliation account ready input setting for your Main reconciliation account in FS00
    2. If you dont find the setting in FS00, then you have to change FSG settings for this account group in OBD4.
    3. Also assign alternative reconciliation accounts to your reconciliation account
Now system asks you to input the alternative recon account when you do the transactions.

2.a. While making payment against down payment request there are 3 accounts hitted
    1.Bank Account.
    2. Bp(As Advance-Debit balance)
    3.GL linked with BP.(Acccounts payable).
    Is Correct or Not?
    3. While Making A/p Invoice can we pick this Advace in A/p invoice Entry and can we Adjust .
at this stage Whenever i want to Check the balance of the BP should be Debit Balance(as Advance).
    A/p Down payment Invoice:-
What is the Procedure, When it will be Used and What are the GL affected.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
We are using A/p Down Payment Invoice where the entry is
    Party Credited
Advance for capital purhase ie. ofset account is debited
    and making payment
    Party Debited
    Bank Credited
    and when linking with Invoice
Advance for capital purhase ie. ofset account is credited
GRNI of Asset A/c is debited.
Here the main issue is in Party ledger its showing 1st credit and then debit and your requirement that Party should be shown debit balance it will be not there it will be in Offset account i.e "Advance for capital purhase ie. offset account"
Now you have to generate query base report if you want to show advances given to party.
This is what we are doing if there is any other possibility kindly revert back all experts.
    Thanks
