Youtube (https)security certificate issue

Hi
I'm using latest firefox version with and recently I'm facing this strange issue ... everytime I try to visit youtube, to be specific, when not logged in on any google accounts .. I can visit http://www.youtube.com but when I try to login, in which case it redirects to https:// and It shows the following error(check image url):
https://imageshack.com/i/ezbe0c53j
And if I try to add exception, it shows this screen(check image url):
https://imageshack.com/i/hj41802cj
(PS: Couldn't find upload option here so I had to use otherimage hosts)
Also I tried changing windows time, adding auto time sync from windows site and also tried changing profile, disabling add on and testing and also tried removing cache/cookies from both google.com and youtube.com and so far nothing worked ... I can't seem to access youtube while logged in (https)
Also its only youtube, no other website shows this security certificate error!
please provide a solution to this asap, thanks!

When you click Add Exception, you get a Google error page instead of a pop-up dialog? Or are you saying that after you added the exception, YouTube's home page won't load. That's mildly suspicious...
If you return to the Add Exception dialog and use the View button, how does the certificate compare with the attached screen shot?

  • Security certificate issue for Provider Hosted App (SP Online)

    Hi all,
I am having a hard time with SP Online debugging a basic provider hosted app.
Steps I have taken to create the app:
created a new provider hosted app in Visual Studio 2013 and setting my SP Online debugging site (wich works perfectly for SP hosted apps).
Chose Azure ACS option, although I do not have an Azure account
When I deploy the app I get to the page on my debugging site where I must choose "Trust It", but when I do I get the message that the Connection is Unsecure/unsafe:
How can I fix this? Do I need to create an Azure account for debugging purposes already? Or is there another way to solve the problem?

    Hi,
I understand that you get Security certificate issue for Provider Hosted App (SP Online).
Per my knowledge, you need to create an Azure account for debugging purposes.
To create a SharePoint 2013 app for Office 365 and publish it to an Azure web site, you can refer to:

  • How do i deal with 'security certificate' issues on my iPad2? I'm unable to answer the security questions that pop up when Im trying to download an app because the pop up does not load properly...

Basically my Ipad2 stopped allowing me to go to sites such as Tumblr a little while ago. It wouldn't display the page properly because of 'security certificate' issues. This in itself would not have been such a problem, but when I went to the App store to try and download the Tumblr App, a pop up appeared asking me to answer some security questions before I could successfully install the App. However, the pop up would not display correctly because of 'security certificate' issues and as a result I can't download any apps from the App Store. Can anyone help with this??

Well, I maged to delete some stuff, download the update...

  • Mail Security certificate issue and cannot send email from mail app on surface 2

well im have the same issue like others and coincidently we all started to have this issue just recently like few days ago. Please help us out as on the surface 2 mail app my Hotmail account ( The main account )
cannot send mails and on the account setting it says there is a problem with the server security certificate. So how to fix it ???

Does this issue only happen with Hotmail account? Have you tested the account in other mail programs or send a email via web mail in a browser? What is the result if we delete the account then recreate the account?

For example when i enter facebook the pictures do not display the hourglass appears the program slows down hardly responds and i kill the task. The same issue is also about security certificates 17.0.1 was letting me in to enter for example : fb.playkb.com site. 18.0 just hangs on there too. I tried to update the flash version totally clear and uninstall and fresh install the 18.0. Still hangs. I rolled back to 17.0.1 and it works perfectly.

Could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
[[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
[[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]

  • Receiver SOAP HTTPS channel certificate issue in SAP 7.31

    Hello SAP team,
We have imported the Partners Https certificate in our NWA and have tried to click the check box of certificate authentication in communication channel .
However we are still getting an error in CC " SSLcertificate exception : Peer certificate rejected by chain Verifier " .
Could you you please tell us that what are we missing on  and why are we getting this issue .
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi
Is the cert provided a self-signed cert or signed by a CA entity? If the latter, you need to import all the Certs in the chain of trust (intermediate and root) into Trusted CA key store too.
You can normally get the CA certs directly from the CA's website, but if you are unsure, you can check with your partner.

  • Do Mountain Lion and Safari 6.2.2 support SHA-256 Hash algorithms in HTTPS security certificates?

I use SalesForce for my client CRM. I've just received a notice informing me that they are upgrading from SHA-1 hash to SHA-256 for increased HTTPS certificate security. Will my current OS X version (Mountain Lion) and Safari version (6.2.2) support this upgrade?

NEVERMIND! SalesForce provided a test page and I was able to determine that both my Mac and Windows environments and browsers support the upgrade.

  • Urgent - NAC+ACS+Web-Auth in Wired environment - https redirection - Certificate Issue

    Hi everyone.
I'm seting up an environment which uses Web-Auth for my wired and wireless networks. I have followed the exact same steps in this Cisco page to get it working:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/iosswrel/ps6537/ps6586/ps6638/app_note_c27-577490.html
I'm only testing the wired environment right now.
I plug a PC to a port, and I try to get access to a randon internet page (for example www.cisco.com) . It is automatically redirected to authentication page. I type the username and password, but, when authentication passes, it goes automatically to https version of the page, which brings me to the problem. I have to add an exception (continue on this webpage option on IE) to that page in order to continue with the authentication and get the access to the internet. I'm attaching the steps I have to perform:
I think it is related to Certificate, but I'm not quite sure which or where. I'd like to have some advices from you to avoid this problem. I'm not planning to buy any certificates, so if I could skip the https would be great.
Thanks a bunch for your help
    Victor Alves

You need a certificate that your client will trust.
Easy way is to buy one from an official source. All PC browsers have a list of the major cert vendors so that's automatically trusted.
You could issue the certificate yourself also, for free :
-Self signed : the signing authority is the switch ... That means you need all your PCs to trust all your switches. Manual operation ...
-You create an enterprise CA and create a certificate for all your switches : you just need your clients to trust your enterprise CA so that's still a manual task but a simpler one.
When laptops are integrated in a domain, it's usually easier to create your CA on windows server and push the certificates to the clients automatically

  • Time Capsule Airport (WiFi) security certificate issue...

[sorry if this is the wrong forum, I couldn't find one for Time Capsule]
I'm using a new Time Capsule (2TB) for backups via Time Machine and also as a wireless router. All the sudden, whenever I access an SSL site I get an invalid certificate error. But if I switch to another router no error occurs. One of the invalid certificates occurred when accessing a brokerage account (their support was baffled), the cert was from GE Akamai -> *.liveperson.net. Or sometimes I get a server error. I get the same errors from a PC (gulp, sorry) when using the Time Capsule as a wireless router. Again switching over to one of my other routers, the problem goes away. I cleared cookies etc. All my routers are password protected, and I live in a very rural area with no neighbors.
It's all been working fine for at least 6 months (since I bought the thing), I haven't changed anything(!).
I have switched routers and disconnected the Time Capsule from internet access.

More information about this problem, having read an old thread.
When using my Time Capsule as the WiFi router -- I get a "sarfari can't open..." message when putting a watch on an ebay item or "almost" any page that requires SSL. It's supposed to redirect to Sign In.
I tried everything, clearing cache, history, cookies... The only thing that works is using another WiFi router!
I read an old thread that indicated this is a known problem and to update the firmware, however I'm using the latest firmware.
So when I switch to another router it's all fine, however, when I close the lid on my MacBook Pro, and reopen, it switches back to using the Time Capsule's WiFi!!! If I unplug the TIme Capsule from the DSL line, then I get all kinds of configuration errors... ARG
    HELP!

  • The server's security certificate is not yet valid!

I am getting this message with Google Chrome to access https sites (facebook.com for instance.
This message is only received with my primary user, other users function properly.
The system clock is set automatically and is showing the correct date.
Advancing the system time setting manually about 2.5 month or so the browser returns an "expired" message.
I am in web development and cannot simply replace my default user.
Is there anywhere I can look to see what is causing this error?

    Hi krudesill,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Are you seeing the same security certificate issue in Safari? The article linked below provides some information and a troubleshooting suggestion that may resolve the issue.
OS X Mavericks: If your certificate isn’t being accepted
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14003
If a certificate is not accepted, it may have expired or it may be invalid for the use to which it is being applied. For example, some certificates may be used for establishing a secure connection to a server but not for signing a document.
The most common reason a certificate isn’t accepted is that the certificate authority’s root certificate isn’t trusted by your computer. Before your computer will trust a certificate authority, you must add the certificate authority to a keychain and set the certificate trust settings.
Some apps (such as Safari) display the root certificate from the certificate authority as part of the message from the certificate authority. In this case, drag the root certificate icon to the desktop.
Drag the certificate file onto the Keychain Access icon, or double-click the certificate file.
Choose a keychain from the pop-up menu, then click OK.If you’re asked, type the name and password for an administrator user on this computer.
Select the certificate, then choose File > Get Info.
Click the Trust Settings disclosure triangle to display the trust policies for the certificate.
To override the trust policies, select new trust settings from the pop-up menus.
    I hope this helps.
    -Jason

  • Firefox reporting bad security certificates

All of a sudden, Firefox is reporting "bad security certificate" for a number of websites--including Mozilla's!! I am using version 6.0.
The problem is worst on Google+. I added exceptions for the security certificate issues, but Firefox will not load any photos at all anymore for Google+. This is not an issue with IE on the same computer. This problem has been occurring only for the last three days.

I had already read that article, performed the recommended actions, and upgraded to 6.0.1. Unfortunately this has not solved anything. In addition to Google+, other https websites are having the same problem: Vanguard, Yahoo Mail, etc. This is happening across three of my computers, only on Firefox. When I use IE on the same computers to navigate to the same sites, no problems are occurring. I have tested both work and home PCs and it is happening no matter where I connect from.

  • IPhone 4 iOS5 Security Certificate difficulty

I have an iPhone 4 with iOS5 installed.  I'm trying to use a security certificate issued by GlobalSign to be able to sign and encrypt email messages.  I have installed the primary certificate that matches my email address, and the second level certificate for GlobalSign, on my iPhone.  Both are in my profile and both are marked as trusted.  When I go to make the setting in my email account, I turn on s/mime and then am prompted for the sign setting and the encrypt setting.  By clicking on either, another screen opens to provide an option to select a certificate to use for the selected function; however, it shows that there are "no valid certificates" and won't let me turn on the sign or encrypt function.  Any ideas?  Not sure why it's not seeing the certificate in my Profile, or if there is another setting I need to make.  Nothing in the user guide seems to address this problem.  Thanks!

I know this is an old thread but I've been struggling w/ this problem for some time and haven't found a viable solution to the problem anywhere on the internet.
However, assigning a static IP to my iPhone 5 (iOS 7.0.2) in the router and on the phone seems to prevent it from constantly being dropped (so far, approx 4 hours).
I will be doing the same w/ a 3Gs and 4s for a couple other users and will report if their outcomes are different.
Hopefully this helps anybody who is still searching for a solution to this problem.

  • Installing secure certificates (from I.E.) for Mai...

I got a new N73 a week ago and have since then tried to install the secure certificate issued by my MS Outlook server (outlook web access) to access exchange so that I can work Nokia's Mail for Exchange.
Now - this certificate is valid since on my previous phone (not symbian based - it installed and worked fine.)
I have followed several resources online and none work. I have exported .cer files and .der files.
To get the certificate files to the phone is not the issue. It's once they reach the phone that the problem starts. Only base-64 encoded x509.cer files show as "readable" files on the handset. Problem though that these files only open with a notepad reader. I want to install the certificate, not read the thing.
Am I just being stupid here or what but I have called several of the Nokia support centers (South Africa and United Kingdom) and they don't know how to install such on an N73 either... ???
Is there any hope out there ?

The icon should show up as a light blue background (round circle) with a questionmark.
    ==DONE
As if it's something wrong with the file.
== Phone says "unable to open file"
You should export the DER encoded binary file.
    == Done
What your doing wrong is that you first have to click on the certification path and then chose the next certificate on the tree (in my case starfield secure certification authority), not the root, then press view certificate then go to details and export.
== File Exported - from PC onto PC desktop.
You cannot immediatlely go to details after you've opened up the certificate window and press copy to file.
== It is here where I get stuck...
I can export the file but HOW do I get it to INSTALL on the phone. I copied the file (all steps above) to the phone (from PC), once I try to open it, it says - "Unable to open file"...
If I use the phone's browser to go to the web page where the certificate lies, the phone asks me if I want to continue since the certificate is invalid, I can view the details but can not save it here...
    Please help
    Regards
