Z30 Blackberry ID password issue

Hello, I just got a new z30 unlocked phone.  In Settings > Blackberry ID it still shows Email not confirmed after resetting my password many times. I get a pop up box to enter user id and password but I am not getting anywhere (another error pop up box is no coming up) yet on my computer I am able to log into the Blackberry ID just fine. Can you please help? Thank you.

It is possible your phone was used by someone else with another account. Many of these phone bought online, or from non authorizied dealers for Blackberry can be returned phones, or refirbished, and etc., that were activated on previous accounts.
Wipe the phone and re-install the operating system to start with. If you cannot create a new account for your phone and then properly apply it, then the phone has issues, or your service provider is not allowing Blackberry service to work properly.

  • Blackberry curve password issue with alt

    Hi,
can any one please resolve this issue.
I had set my password in lowercase alphabets, I am not sure what went wrong that after my phone got locked I am able to enter only special character, I tried 4 time and after that I get an option of entering "blackberry", now I am stuck here.
The concern is that the alt key is enabled, I see the alt icon on the right top corner of my screen, and now when I am trying to enter alphabets its not allowing me too...
How do I go about this...???

Are you saying the ALT symbol is stuck on in the upper corner?
Leave your BlackBerry powered ON, remove the battery and replace to reboot.
Upon reboot, is the ALT icon still there?

  • Blackberry ID Password Issue

My phone ID doesn't recognize my password but it does on my computer. What's strange is it doesn't lock me out when I put in my password on my phone. I click "verify" and nothing happens. Just like I didn't enter anything. Anyone have a suggestion? I have only had the phone a week. Maybe a glitch?

  • Blackberry Curve password issue

My daughter just got a Blackberry Curve. She set the password and then she wasn't able to log back in. When she tried to enter the password, it actually showed the password in the field not asterisks. She talked to a Verizon Wireless person and he wasn't much help. He told her to let the Blackberry reset which she did. She tried setting the password again and she got the same results. The V. Wireless person said that shouldn't happen - I've never heard of that - go to a Verizon Wireless store. Has anyone had a similar problem?

If the device is less than 30 days old.  Go back to the store and tell them you have a 30 DOA.  Go to customer service, you don't need technical support.  Sounds like faulty software and you shouldn't have to reinstall it or anything like that.  Don't let them give you a FRU or field replacement unit.  You will get a new device if it's 30 days or less old.

  • Blackberry ID password restoration issue

    Hello,
I've got a problem with Blackberry ID password recovery.
When I'm trying to restore password using form at this site https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/recoverpassword/
I receive an email with password restoration link, but actually it doesn't works for me. When I navigate to this link I'm unfortunately get the message "BlackBerry ID Services An error has occurred and your request cannot be processed."
I use an ID <removed>, and my Blackberry Playbook has been registered with this ID.
I've tried to restore password 5 or more times, but the result is the same.
EDIT: Personal Information such as e-mail is prohibited for your security. Please review User Guidelines  under section "Be careful."
    Who can help?
    Thanks a lot!

The solution is to copy link, then paste in a navigation string in browser. not to click it, because link is incorrect.

  • Blackberry ID Password reset email doesn't contain a link to reset password!

I'm having the same issue that this guy had in this forum (which doesn't seem to have a solution?): http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/Blackberry-ID-Password-Reset/m-p/1745415#...
Basically, I'm trying to reset my Blackberry password for my Blackberry Curve. I get a password reset email when i request it, but the email does not contain a link to reset my password. The ENTIRETY of the email is as follows:
"This email has been automatically generated. Please do not reply to this email.
If you have not previously indicated that you wish to receive emails from Research In Motion Limited and/or its affiliated companies regarding exclusive offers and updates about BlackBerry products and services and you would like to do so, please click here.

Does anyone know what the problem is? It's not my web browser distorting the email -- i've tried retrieving the email from Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer.

That is very strange indeed...with only 2 possible causes I can think of.
    1) Your email app (on your PC) is blocking the link that is included in the email...many email apps will do this and sometimes you must override them. If you have an alternate interface to use (e.g., GMail webmail interface versus Outlook), then try the other and see if that helps. Depending on the email environment (e.g., private corporate email system), it is also possible that some gateway along the path is stripping out the necessary link(s) as a security measure.
    2) The reset email facility is actually broken, and the email does not contain what it is supposed to. If that is the case, then it requires formal attention from RIM. The only way to achieve that is for you to contact VZW and have them escalate your case into RIM.
    Good luck!

want to know how to retrive my blackberry ID password without using ans>

If you verified the BBID email address when you first set it up then you can go to www.bbid.com on a PC and reset the password without answering the questions.
If you didn't verify the BBID when you set it up then you will always have to answer the secret questions.

  • Blackberry ID Password

    Hi,
I have a blackberry 9900 and before I travelled I got the phone unlocked. Now that I have moved everytime I try to put in a new sim or a sim that's not the original sim it asks me for my blackberry ID password. I've changed my blackberry ID password online just  today but then its still not allowing me to go through even when I use the password I just reset it to instead it keeps locking my phone for 15 minutes. Can anyone help?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Based on your description, I am guessing that somehow you actually changed your BBID account and credentials, and now wish to use those on your BB device. Unfortunately, the only way to change the BBID associated to a device is to WIPE the device, and then log into the new BBID account as part of the initial configuration wizard on the device.
Be sure you first take a full backup as well as full manual documentation of your configuration, accounts, etc. See the link in my auto-sig on this post for complete instructions.
    Good luck!

    Hey mmelieman,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
If you forgot the answer to your security question then the BlackBerry® ID password can not be reset.  You can create a new BlackBerry® ID by going to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid

  • Cant reset Blackberry ID password as I can no longer access my o2 email

    Hello
For security reason, RIM deliver a confirmation email which accessible from our computer, not to our handheld device. If you still own that BlackBerry ID associated email address , you  can find it in your laptop. But if you're no longer have access to that email, you are stuck and need to create a new BBID.

  • Upgraded to yosemite and now having password issues and slow start up

I have upgraded my macbook pro to the OS X Yosemite operating system and now encountering start up and password issues.
Previously on start up my system would go to the log on icon within 10 to 15 seconds of pushing the on button. Now there is horizontal loading indicator bar appearing and takes about 30seconds to 1 minute to go away before getting to the log on screen and if I click on my icon the system goes live on screen without having to put in a password which is an obvious security issue.
I have tried adding a password however each time I try to put my old password in it tells me it is the wrong one.
I am operating Yosemite 10.10.2 on a macbook pro with 8gb memory with i7 processor..
The computer was running perfectly ok before this up grade so I had resisted previous prompts to upgrade due to the bad press this system was getting last year. I thought Apple would have had this all sorted by now??
I  would appreciate any help if anyone knows how to resolve these issues.

Install the version of Java they want from here: Java for OS X 2014-001
    See if CS 5.1 launches.
If not reinstall CS5.1 and any updates.

  • Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server BIOS password issue

We have a Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server BIOS password issue.
We needed to turn on Bit locker in the Cisco Server VCS C220. To do this we needed to create an administrator password for the BIOS to turn on trusted Platform Module (TPM). After we set up the administrator password and turn on Security for TPM. We were prompted for the administrator password. It would not let us log in with the administrator password that we created for the BIOS. In the next few days we received a BIOS is corrupted screen (BIOS Flash Image Corrupted *****).We follow procedures to recover the BIOS with the USB stick with recovery .cap file in the root folder. We tried reseating the jumper pg. 35 of the Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server of the Installation and Service Guide.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/c/hw/C220/install/C220.pdf
We were able to bring up the server, but we are still not able to get pass the Admin password issue. We tried to clear the CMOS header with Header J37 page 2-18 but we had no success with clearing out the password prompt. Figure 2-6 Service Header Locations shows the J41 BIOS RCVR boot and J37 Clear CMOS.
Can anyone provide us documentation of where the pins are located on the motherboard to clear the BIOS password? We are looking for more of a detail picture of the pins please. The documentation is only showing a basic diagram of the header locations.

You need to look at the CUCM logs for further info on what might have happened, and to make sure your servers are fit for the amount of users, devices, etc. you have in your environment.

  • Can't install due to password issue

I've reset the password 3X and still can't download due to password issue. Help!

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

  • Upgraded to Leopard now password issue

OK I upgraded to Leopard on my G5 and cant log in with my password . I have read this forum and tried some of the related password issues when upgrading to Leopard . I can only log on when I use the root password I created , I think that the main issue with this is in the keychain . How do I disable the whole log in password so That when I turn the computer on it just boots up with out a password as it did before I did the upgrade .
    Thanks Mike...

You can use the Leopard upgrade disc to reset the passwords. Follow the instructions here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274
To start up in a user account rather than with a login, go to System Preferences -> Accounts. You should be able to change the pull-down menu next to "Automatic Login" to be one of the users or the administrator. This will require you to unlock the little lock and enter your password--which you may need to reset as noted above. Good luck!
