ZEN Vision:M Album picture is

Hello,
I got a Creative Zen Vision:M
I notice that some of my albums while playing them do show a picture of the album cover along on the display along with the text.
Most of the albums that are plaied just show text and I want to make every album to show picture of cover when played.
How?
Best Regards,
Britney!

Connect your ZVM to the PC and go into Zen Vison M Media Explorer. Then go to browse media. In the VIEW tab at the top, switch to album view. Then go into your music collection and go into the artists folder. Then go into the album folder within the artists folder and you will notice a blank image with a musical note and a disk. Drag and drop the picture of the album you want in there and it will (it should) show up on your ZVM.
Keep in mind you won't be able to do this if you have Windows Media player . So if you have it, get rid of it.
After you are done (this will take long if you plan to do it for all the albums) then disconect the Zen and reset it so the album art will show accordingly.

  • Zen Vision: M Album Art prob

    Hi all...
I recently did a fresh install of Windows MCE and had to reinstall all my Creative stuff. I used the CD-Rom to reinstall (still mad about the MP3 conversion removal from the new version of mediasource). Since reinstalling everything, I cannot drag jpg's into the Zen Media Explorer to put on the Album Art.
It worked before I reinstalled. Now when I drag a picture onto the "musical note" icon, the hard dri've on the Zen Vision has activity (the docked icon spins) but the picture doesn't appear.
The album art I added before is all still there, but I can't change or replace it. Every time I drag, the hard dri've spins and everything, but the picture just doesn't show up.
I haven't installed Windows Media Player either.
    Any ideas?

I have found precisely the same problem.Re-installed windows last week, and ever since I have been unable to transfer album art. I used to do this by naming album art jpeg as "folder" and dragging album folder directly into Vision:M media explorer. I have also tried to dragging art onto the album art placeholder on "album" view - as described in creative knowledge base solution 879 - and this does not work. The only way I have found to transfer the album art is by syncing through media player . I should point out that I was using media player 0 before my re-install - but surely this cannot be the reason can it's The album art which I had transferred previously to my player is still fine. Is there any solution to this It's only a small problem, but it's really starting to bug me Thanks

  • Zen Vision:M Album Pict

    Hi all,
I bought one of these a month or so ago and its great
One thing that has been bugging me is that when I put my music on, there is an album cover of a "System of a Down" cover, I only have one or 2 songs from them and I cannot find any picture files of it on my computer.
So where is it getting it from? It seems to appear on the songs which don't have an album cover pic.
    Thanks,
    Daveo007

I'm guessing you're using Windows Media Player to transfer your music. It's not your player, it's Windows Media Player screwing up when it transfers your files. The only way I know to fix it is to right click in WMP on all the songs it occurs to then click "Find Album Info". Then click on the album which best matches your song. Then delete the songs off your Zen Vision:M and retransfer them. It should fix the problem.

  • ZEN Vision M: Album art stuck. Can't chan

I've come across a strange problem and was hoping someone could help. Any help is much appreciated.
Before we start, Album Art = AA
Ok, I have 2 albums named 'Greatest Hits', one by Sublime and one by The Offspring. I was adding AA using MediaMonkey and when I added the Sublime AA I hit 'Apply on all tracks on Album'. MediaMonkey accidentally added it to The Offspring's album as well since it has the same exact album name. So at this point The Offspring's album is showing the wrong AA, Sublime's cover.
I didn't notice this until I already synced over to my Zen Vision M and it caught my eye. No big deal, right? Just replace and resync... easy. Well now no matter what I try it still has the wrong AA showing on my ZVM. I changed the AA with MediaMonkey and it correctly shows The Offspring's version but it still shows the Sublime version on my ZVM. I've checked with multiple programs and there's no Sublime AA in sight as it should be so it really appears to be a problem with my ZEN.
I've tried renaming the whole album name and it finally gets rid of the Sublime AA in favor of the correct The Offspring AA but this does not help me since it's the wrong album name.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks - Kevin

Dang. I just did it again with 3 and AC/DC's "Li've" albums. Any ideas?

  • Zen Vision : M - Album Art not displaying and other probl

    Hi,
I bought a Zen Vision : M from Hong Kong last week and of course the first thing I did when I got home was install all the software that came with it and started uploading songs.
The player is great and I love it but there are just two annoying little things.
    Two problems I encountered.
. I uploaded the album art using the Media Explorer by clicking and draging the JPEG into the explorer as instructed, sometimes the album art shows on the player and for some albums, it just won't show on the player, however it shows correctly on the explorer. Has anybody else experienced the same thing?
Is there going to be a new firmware to fix that?
    2. Sometimes after closing all the Creative applications and explorers, it still does not release the player. It still saids that it is docked. I have to either shut down the computer or manually pull the USB cable out which is something I don't want to do if it is still transferring information between the player and the PC... In the next firmware, there should be an option to undock the player.
Also the website claims to have all these accesories such as the docking station and leather case for the player but I cannot find any online store that has it!?! I have searched the Europe online stores and Asia online shops yet I cannot find it. Where would I be able to find it's As I am always afraid that the connector that comes with the player will break as it feels quite fragile.

The undocking issue are you sure the arrows are still moving. I made that mistake when I first got the vision M. I thought it was still updating.
The arrows stay still when you can remove the Vision M and kinda rotate, actually move when you are tranferring songs.
    Looks similar.
As for the album art ill try that today and get back to you.

  • Zen Vision M Album

I have a Zen Vision M 30GB model. I really enjoy the album art feature. Recently, I purchased an 8Gb Zune and the album art shows full screen with the progress bar over top. Is there a setting on the Zen that allows for full screen album art?

I get some funky message when I try to use WMP0 to rip,?]C00D0FAA: Cannot rip the filesWindows Media Player cannot rip (copy) the track from the CD because no compatible MP3 encoder is installed on your computer. Install a compatible MP3 encoder, or choose a different format for tracks ripped from CDs (such as Windows Media Audio).
To obtain an MP3 encoder (also known as an MP3 Creation Pack), see the MP3 Creation Packs and DVD Decoders for Windows XP Web page at the Microsoft Web site.

  • Zen:Vision M Album scroll

Can I play everything by an artist without having to scroll back to each individual album?I find it frustrating to have to scroll back and then play the next album...guess I am asking...Can I just do a continuous play of an artist?Thanks...

I have a zen micro and on it, I just press play on the artist name and it plays the artist's songs (all of them from all of the albums). I know there's an artist section on the menu, so try doing that. just select artist, select the one you want to play, and press play or the menu button and 'play all'

  • Zen Vision M album i

I was just curious if anyone knew how to change the icon which appears next to the song title on the "now playing" screen. I have some mp3s that are shown with album art of completely different artists and it's really unfortunate to see, for instance, peter frampton's face next to alanis's song.
    thanks ahead for any help

If you have WMP0, go into ZVM Media Explorer, then go into "browse media" and then in the "View" tab, select "Album", and after that go into any artist and you will see a blank picture with a musical note. From there you can arrange any album art by dragging and dropping. Good luck!!

  • Zen Vision M: Album fol

Is there any way that I can eliminate the album folder so when I search for music by artist that it goes from Artist directly to Songs instead of Artist>Album>Song
    Thanks,
    Blake

The albumart files transfer when you sync the files? I would first open WMP2 allow it to be fully open & then connect the player. Also in order for the albumart to show you will have to delete & reload the music files. There are other apps to use MediaMonkey is popular & works with the player.

  • Zen Vision M Album Cov

Can someone please tell me I can only see one album cover for all the albums on my player? How can I make it so that it shows the correct ones or just none at all?

Download MediaMonkey !Install it and if you want to add files to your library, press "Insert" and select the type of files you wanna add and the folders of your hard disk. Then if you want to put artwork, you right-click your song and select "Get Info-Buy" and select whatever online music store. This will automatically update the artwork AND ID3 Tags. Or if you want to put them manually, right-click your song and select "Properties" and click the "Album Art" tab and then you add the album Art!

  • Album Art in Zen Vision M / How did you do

This question is for those of you who have actually gotten the Album Art to show up in the Zen Vision M.
I have been trying to figure it out for 3 days straight and I need some serious. My firmware version is .0.0 is this the right firmware?
I have made an attempt with WMP 0 using the Advanced Tag Edit, and I can get the Album Art to show up in WMP "Now Playing" tab, but when I sync to my Vision M, the album art does not transfer into it. I have tried, manually dropping the album art in several directories, the root / album / and photo directories but the album art does not appear.
I have even tried RealPlayer and a few Album Art programs on this message board and I get the same results.
So can someone provide me some set by step instructions or give me a link to where those intructions might be?

    Hello all:
I have an idea for those who are looking to add album art:
I have yet to see if it works with the Vision:M (mine will be here next week), but I used mediamonkey to add album art to my mp3 catalog (,200+ songs). Its easy to do and you can add art to an entire album of songs at one time. It uses Amazon's database for album art. As long as you have things properly tagged its completely automated (It took me ~.5 hours to ad album art to my entire collection). It will also ask you if you want the picture to be embedded in the id3 tag (which as far as I know you do for the Vision:M). Finally, mediamonkey is a great Mp3 management tool. Its free and you can get it at www.mediamonkey.com.

  • How do you transfer album art to the Zen Vision

Quite a lot of my tracks have album art associated with them. If I transfer these tracks to my Zen Vision M, will the album art transfer automatically also? If not, how to I go about transferring album art? The album art does not appear as separate files in My Pictures, it seems to be embedded in the WMAs......

Thanks for posts. The MediaExplorer way mentioned did not work for me either. So far it looks like Windows Media Player will transfer album art automatically when you copy music to your player using the 'sync' function, but I have yet to try this out. This would probably be the easiest way for most people, but remember to create your subfolders for your music first and transfer the track to the relevant one, as stuff can't bee moved around between folders once it's on your player (so annoying).

  • Zen Vision M problem, album art is not showing

I am embedding the album art into the ID3v2 tags, as i assumed that it would show up when browsing my albums. But the art is not showing up and i have no idea why.
I had another problem which seems that my Zen is reading ID3v tags, a lot of my music was not being recognised, even with v2 tags, and was only recognised when i filled in the v tags also. Does anyone have suggestions as to whats going on here? It is a Zen Vision M 30gb, with the latest firmware, and i use Tag & Rename to edit tags and add the art, Im also on Vista if that changes anything.
Thanks in advance.Message Edited by Ninjabachelor on 0-28-20070:20 PM

    Hi Boxy !
For now, you can't zoom in the Album Art, but it can be a new feature on a future firmware. To hack it somehow, you have to mess around the system folder which is inaccessible...

  • ZEN VISION:M What happened to the Album art???/What do you use to transf

I've had my zen vision m since last summer and absolutely love it. Recently though I reformatted and added my entire library with the zen vision m media explorer like I always do. I have always tagged my music with musicmatch jukebox so that the album art shows up on my zen. This time however there is no album art. What's going on, is it the new firmware?
How do the rest of you add your tracks? There's at least fi've different ways I've discovered to do it, but in the past the media explorer was always the best.

    Hi,
I think you're in fullscreen mode. Press F11 to turn it off/on.
