Zero Step Workflow for BCC Projects

Hi
I want to explore the options of creating a Zero Step Workflow in BCC, meaning a project assigned (created programatically) to this workflow will have to proceed without any user intervention and should be published to all the targets set till Production. I dont need any Review or Approval step so it has to be published directly to Production.
What's the best way and any implications of doing this?
Thanks

Hi,
you should be able to copy the wdl file \atg\registry\data\epubworkflows\Content Administration\import.wdl into the localconfig of your ATG server. So if you have an ATG server named atg_publishing you would copy the file into [ATG-INSTALL]/home/servers/atg_publishing/atg/registry/data/pubworkflows/Content Administration/import.wdl. Then restart the server and you should see the workflow in the ACC. If you don't see the workflow in the ACC, the server is probably not a Process Editor Server. If this is the case check out section "Designating a Process Editor Server for Workflows" in the Personalization Programming Guide.

  • No Review Workflow for BCC Projects

    Hi
I want some inputs about the best way to setup Zero step or a No review Workflow in ATG BCC so any projects assigned to this workflow will get published to any targets configured till Production with out any user intervention. I do not need any Review or Approval in my case?
Let me the know the best way to achieve this any limitations or implications?
    Thanks

ATG has given the workflow which pushes the project all thru production without user intervention C:\ATG\ATG10.1.1\Publishing\base\sample-code\config\atg\registry\data\epubworkflows\Content Administration\
You can use these workflows by copying into your module.

  • N-Step workflow for invoice

    1. Is there a way to implement n-step (more than 2 )approvals for invoices? Can I use the same BADI for n-step approval for shoupping cart?
    2. If a vendor is not on supplier portal is there a way send a offline RFQ and get the bid somehow in the system without having vendor being created in the system?

  • How to map the workflows for a project?

We are developing a mini ERP package for a customer on Oracle 9iAS & Forms 9i. The business process contains lot of workflow process for ex:-Approval of purchase request etc. I am unable to understand how we have to map these flows using Oracle workflow in the project and integrate these using Forms 9i and Oracle Db.

    Ramesh,
All the business processes can be modeled using the Workflow Builder tool which gives you a graphical UI of the business process. This is where you will model your approval process etc.
Once you have defined the business process you can invoke the workflow from your application and let workflow take over the business process.
You have API's in PL/SQL and java to invoke these processes.
Use the workflow guide on OTN to get more information on this..
    Hope this helps

  • Can you spot any glitches in this workflow for my projects

I have been going back and forth on this topic of what format to use for my projects and have proposed various solutions which have not worked out because of some issue I overlooked. After much thought and a lot of reading, I came up with this one: I want to produce dvds for computer viewing only, using FCP HD and DVDSP 3. I'm using graphic sources ONLY, created in Motion 2 and Photoshop CS2 with music files created in Logic Pro 7, no footage. I plan to use the DVPro HD 720p 24 for the format in FCP and Motion. Since I am not using captured footage in the projects, I thought I could use just the portion of the area of the 720p screen that I would need for DVD output, which is 720 x 480, by marking it off with guides. All of the graphics from Photoshop and Motion would be brought in at the regular 720p dimensions but the content would be only in the same 720 x 480 area of the screen. When the project is done I would export it as a Quicktime movie at full size and bring it into Compressor 2. I would then use the setting for preparing it for DVDSP but I would crop the size to just that same 720 x 480 area where I limited my content. My hope is that because the dimensions are those for NTSC DV, that my pixel aspect ratio will remain square and not getsquished, and with progressive scanning it will look fine on a computer screen. Does this plan sound like it will accomplish the result I'm looking for?

The lumina shifts out of the wipes are a result of the H.264 encoding...it isn't on the original footage. I can't figure that one out...I tried exporting out of FCP, converting with QT AND Compressor and got the same result. Scratching my head there...
The 3-way CC was good in many cases, but when it came to the marsh grasses, it had some difficulty. Mainly in separating the blues and greens, and getting rid of the general haze of the shot. MB and CF were able to dig out the colors, but yes, Magic Bullet had more...vivid sepiad colors. That is a result of using the Color Reversal template and futzing with it, and my inexperience with MB. Color Finesse was much more familiar to me, and I was able to get STUNNING results. This is why I chose that shot for CC, because it appeared to need the most work.
I was able to get better results with the 3-way with other footage. Most of the other footage was shot with a distinct blue tint to it, but that is easily fixable.
I don't fault my DP too much. I asked for test footage to play with, and he did a days work, on his own time, for me to work on. The other stuff I was previously working on was for a project I am just wrapping up, and the footage was not allowed to be posted.
All in all I feel this footage has a very cinematic feel. It is easy to work with at full resolution, doesn't take up all that much space and very very pretty to look at. The big issue that will arise is the fact that the 23.98 timeline offers ONLY NDF timecode...not DF. I have to deliver a 59.94 d5 at 10-bit uncompressed, and that allows for DF, but my timing will have to be adjusted. Just how it will is something I will be exploring as the projects plods on.

  • Workflow For Archiving Projects

I'd like to get some suggestions for a good archiving workflow. Backing-up audio, video, graphics, text, motion files etc.
In the past I backed up to DVD and would like to continue in this fashion.
    Thanks for the ideas.

    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   2.5GHz Quad-core PowerPC G5 4GB DDR533 NON ECC 4X1GB 2X500GB Serial ATA-7200rpm

For ALL of my projects, I retain the original camera tapes in case of the need for a re-edit. That's about the best backup available. I also retain a DVD master and a DVCam master.
For most of my normal jobs, I burn graphics, music, VOs and any other non-re-capturable files to a data DVD (not DVD-Video). For jobs that routinely need updating, I keep all material on a dedicated hard drive. When the client needs another update to their video, I plug the drive into a WiebeTec Drive Dock and go to work.

  • Workflow for Reversing Invoice (FB08)

    Hi Gurus,
We are configuring Payment Release workflow for our project.
I am using the standard Workflow WS00400012  for the same and its working fine.
In the above mentioned workflow, if the payment release is rejected it will go the next step 'Change document line'
to change the line item and post again.
But now the requirement is, once the payment release is rejected system should do the invoice reversal for that
                  document (FB08).
Is this possible by customizing the standard workflow ?
If so, is there any business object or workflow to reverse invoice through FB08.
                  Please suggest me.
                   Thanks in advance,
                   Santosh.

    Hi Suresh,
                   Thanks for the reply.
I have checked those methods to display and edit documents.
Actually they are calling the Transaction code  directly and we can change the data manually and save.
But we want the workflow should take care of the reversing invoice without manual interaction.
Can i use any BAPI or FM in my custom method to meet my requirement ?
                      Thanks in advance,
                      Shyam.

  • What is the documetary interview workflow for Story/Premiere CS5.5?

I've looked in vain for the answer to this question, which I'm sure is thoroughly documented SOMEWHERE - I just can't find it.  The few things I HAVE found online including at Lynda.com or other paid services involve CS5, which has a different workflow that involves OnLocation; this changed in CS5.5 but I don't see any on-point articles that incorporate the changes.
We've been using Premiere CS5.5 since its release but have never worked with dialogue metadata.  At the moment we're working on a documentary with a number of lengthy interviews.  In each case the interview subject is talking to an off-camera producer.  Accurate transcriptions of the raw interviews have been prepared.  Only the interview subject's ANSWERS are transcribed; the producer's questions are not (and are also barely audible on the soundtrack).  So, typically, the producer will ask a question and then the subject will give an answer that could be ten seconds or a minute.  Then another question, then another answer, all in the one clip.
So what I am looking for is a step-by-step workflow (for someone who has never so much as TOUCHED Adobe Story before) for importing the transcripts into the raw footage and then ultimately having Premiere match the transcript up with the spoken audio, and then maximizing the usefulness of this with the newly annotated clips as source footage.  Realizing that the interview answers are separated by barely-audible producer's questions, I assume that one challenge will be to let the software know that it should only be paying attention to the answers, and lining the text up appropriately, and not getting confused by the questions.  Perhaps the answers need to be subclipped?
If there's a tutorial on this subject I would very much appreciate being pointed to it.  If not, if someone could do a step-by-step (beginning with an empty Premiere CS5.5 project and nothing in Story) I'm sure there must be a number of other folks in my position who would benefit from it.
As a product suggestion: for documentary applications it seems to me that it would be much better to be able to cut and paste text directly from a text editor into Premiere and then let it fit it to the audio instead of going through Story.  While I understand it was even more cumbersome prior to CS5.5, I don't think interviews in a documentary need most of what Story offers (unless I'm missing something), so it seems like an unnecessary complication that could be eliminated.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Peter

Well, I tried following your steps, and I'm going wrong somewhere.
I created the film script and four scenes (one for each of four clips), giving the speaker's name as a character name (it's actually the same character in a continuous interview broken into several five-to-ten minute clips).  I let Story number the scenes (1 through 4, as expected).  I then exported an .astx file.
Within Premiere, I located the four clips and in the Scene column numbered them 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively.
When I right-click on one of the clips, select "attach script file," and point to the exported .astx file, I get the following error message: "Failed to attach script file to the following clip: \MyProjectName.prproj\FolderNameWIthinProject\00019.mts [Matching scene number not found]" (of course I have replaced the path and folder names in this example with generic names since the actual names reveal my client company's name).
Opening and inspecting the .astx file in a text editor I confirm that it does in fact contain scene numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively, for the numbered scenes.  Likewise I confirm the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively, in the Scene number column for the four relevant clips.
Any idea what the problem is?

  • Creating  workflow for purchase order release.

    Hi friends
I want step by step detail about creation of workflow for purchase order release..
After release purchase order it will goes to the two level of approval..
after that the workflow should be completed...
how can i develope the workflow for that scenario..
    Thanks
    Gowrishankar

    Hi Gowrishankar,
You can get step by step workflow for PO using standard workflow
    <b>Release of Purchase Order :WS20000075</b>
And for two levels of approvals you have to configure in SPRO the path is
    Purchase Order:
SPRO> Material Management->Purchasing->/Purchase order-->Release procedure ---> Procedure with classification ---> set up procedure with classification ---> double click on Release strategies and Workflow.
If you don't know about this configuration, you have to confirm with your MM consultant.

  • Problem in Workflow. GR n Step Workflow

    Hi,
i am modelling an n step workflow for GR approval. i have created one task as a background task. in this task i am callinga a zmethod of BOB BUS2203. which in turns calls a FM which fills the approval table and returns to workflow.
i tried to execting my workflow but all time it comes to this Background task but did not come out. and when i make it dialog and execute, it works fine.
can anyone in foram please tell me, why this background task is not working. i tried using standard task also.. it is also not working.
    please give some soultion.
    Thanks,
    Naresh.

Have you tried to assign some more authorization to the user? it could be that the step is executed using an user that is not the one customized in the workflow settings, seems unusual but i have seen this behaviour in some occasion.....

  • Workflow for finishing DV project (G-nicer filter)

    Hi,
Was wondering on the proper (i.e. smartest) workflow for finishing a DV project. Am I totally wrong in using these steps:
1.) Change sequence settings from DV to an uncompressed format (8bit uncompressed?).
2.) Put the chroma smooting filter (Nattress´ G-nicer seems to be the best for this purpose) as the very first filter onto all clips.
3.) Colour correct so that each scene is uniform
4.) Apply (if needed) film-effects filters (again Nattress´ film filter).
Thanks for any input & advice.
    Quad G5, iMac G5 20", G4 QS 867mhz, iBook G4, Mac mini, and a dusty PB 190 Mac OS X (10.4.7) DSR-570, DSR-11, 2x24" Dell and some more toys.

But wouldn´t it make more sense applying the chroma soften before the colour correction?
BTW, I read an interesting post on Shane´s blog, suggesting to not convert the project into uncompressed before the very end of post. That way one enjoys more real-time effects.
So, do you agree that this would make an o.k. workflow:
    1.) Apply Nattress´ G-nicer 1.1 onto all clips
2.) Colour correct so that each scene is uniform
    3.) Apply Nattress´ film filter
4.) Change sequence settings from DV to an uncompressed format (8bit uncompressed?)
Would you recommend colour correcting after the film-filter or before?
Again, thanks for your very helpful input.

  • Custom workflow for manual merch projects

    Hi,
Having issues in configuring custom workflow.
In ATG10.0.3 created a custom workflow(editCommerceAssets.wdl) & configured with catalog import job (importing thru spreadsheet & creating a Merch project). This works successfully.
I am trying to configure this custom workflow for manually created projects in BCC.
In the following files I tried replacing commonWorkflow.wdl to editCommerceAssets.wdl.
    <localconfig>\atg\commerce\web\assetmanager\taskConfiguration.xml
    <localconfig>\atg\commerce\web\workflowActivities.xml
But getting this error in pub console:
10:13:23,195 WARN [ActivityManager] The workflow activity with ID /Common/commonWorkflow.wdl has been registered multiple times for the same workflow. Please verify your workflow
configuration as this is not allowed.
10:14:40,453 ERROR [ApplicationManager] There is no application configured with ID '/Common/commonWorkflow.wdl'.
    Any recommendations?
    Thanks!

It is possible that the workflow has already been registered in db before you modified workflowActivities.xml.Did you try cleaning up workflow tables and restart the server??
    epub_workflow_info, epub_coll_workflow, epub_ind_wf,epub_wf_server_id tables
Make sure there is only one entry for each workflow in epub_workflow_info. If there are multiple entries, then it may be coming from 2 different places and you need to disable one of them. Whenever you create custom work flow, copy the existing workflow and modify it and give it a different name. If you are importing programmatically, you really dont need to configure it in taskConfiguraiton.xml ( as it corresponds to settings related to which item-descriptors, tabs, security in BCC gui).

  • Single Step approval BRF Workflow for RFx.

    Hi,
I am facing one problem in process controlled workflow for RFx. I have the scenario where I have only one approver but 7-8 reviewer are there in between of approver and initiator for example:
    Initiator >reviewer1>reviewer2->reviewer3->....reviewer8-->approver.
For acheiving this I have activated standard single step approval workflow.
But while I am trying to add reviewers to the RFx at the time of creation of RFx the system is not shwing the reviewers. it gets refreshed only reviewers line is added to the reviewers Tab but system did not display any reviewer.
And while I publish the RFx it directly goes to the approver and while i tried to add the reviewer from approver end the same problem is coming.
Please help me. How I cam achieve this functionality.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sachin

    Hello Ashutosh,
Thanks For your reply. I want to add reviewers at the time of creation of RFx not ad-hoc approvers.
As I explain in my question that I have only one approver in whole approval process rest all are the reviewers only who only do the review and add comments not the approving authority.
    Thanks,
    Sachin
