0 dBm download power

I've been having intermittent broadband speed problems for a couple of weeks now. My BT home hub 2 has been reset daily in an attempt to fix. I realise this probably doesn't help as my IP profile has been reduced to 572kbps download and will take atleast 3 days of line stability for BT to automatically try and increase this.
What is concerning me, however, is the 0 dBm download power mentioned in the output below. I expect this is the number of dB power with respect to 1 mW i.e. 10 log (pOut/1mW). However I'm unsure what a reading of 0 actually means in practice and could it be indicative of an underlying issue?
Pls also advise if there's anything else peculiar with the readouts below? I intend to not reset my router until it has been up for atleast 4 days to give it a chance to upgrade my profile.
I've done the speedtest and I'm getting about 400 kbps but I normally get about 4500 kbps.
Any advice appreciated thanks.

it's not the profile that is the problem it is your connection speed of 572.  this is probably due to all the resets which you have done over however many days and yes you now need to leave it alone to settle.
if you can now get 3+ days stable connection shown in your stats then I would contact the mods and get your noise margin reset to 6db and this should bring back your connection speed and subsequently your profile should rise

    PPC, also known as PowerPC has not existed on Macs since the beginning of 2006.  Apple made a bridge software and included it with Mac OSes until 10.6.8 known as Rosetta that would allow you to run software written for the PowerPC Macs.  10.7 and later can't run that bridge software.  You have one of several options:
    Install 10.6 retail on a USB Flash drive, and run that application while booted from there.
    Find an update designed for 10.7 or later of the software. 
    Find a combination of Virtualbox or Paralllels that can legally run a version of 10.6 side by side with your 10.7 software.
    Run Windows on your Mac with Virtualbox or use CrossOver that requires no Windows to run a Windows version of your application.
    Your Mac is an iMac Intel.   I will ask a moderator redirect your thread to the 10.7 forum, and no action is needed on your part.

    The power DVD app is active, and seems to download ok.  You have already deleted the app? 
    I suspect what is happeneing is that a download is in your queue, and is blocking the queue until it completes, thus the message every time you try to do a down load.  It may be failing because while it thinks you have the app, it is not finding it, and doesn't know what to do.  ( sounds like a poorly designed download).
    I think the way around this might be for you to resync with your iTunes, and let it reload the app onto your pad.  Let it complete the download.  Then, if you do not want the app, delete it again from your pad, and if you never want it, from I tunes as well.
    The next time they do an update, you may wind up in the same situation, so if it happens again, until they fix the download routine, you will get stuck again.
    So try the suggestion, and see if this clears it out.
    The other option would be to open your account in I tunes on your computer, let it complete the download there.

    You need to disable the old com object first. Under File/Options/Add-Ins/Manage/Com objects/Go... disable the preview and enable the new Com object. After you made this change create a new power map and it will ask you to remove the old
    version.

  • Update Retriever - Error Downloading Power Management Driver

    There is an error in Update Retriever, when I try to download the Lenovo Power Management Driver 1.67.00.02 (giku06ww).
    The error message is:
    1 update failed to be downloaded.
    For me it looks like the XML file does not contain a valid CRC information for the file.

    Found a workaround: (I am not sure, why the CRCs are incorrect. It is possible, that the current driver is compromised!)

    The update can be imported into update retriever manually and it must be assigned to systems (by default no machine types are assigned).

    You should be able to open them, but not download them to the phone. Are you using the Blackboard app, or are you using Safari to access Blackboard?

  • Lots of downloading power, but no upload

    Hi there,
    I have cable modem through Time Warner. I am trying to send two quicktime files to someone, they are large but not that large... 9 and 10 mb. No matter what program I try -- Mail, web-based email, uploading them to my idisk, using yousendit -- it takes forever to upload, stoppiung somewhere in the middle without ever finishing.
    I did a Speakeasy Speed Test on my connection, and I have amazing download speeds but almost no upload. Latest results of that test: 28800 kbps download, 263 kbps upload.
    Network settings in preferences look OK, green light connected.
    I've tried restarting, tried scrubbing Disk Permissions. What can I do?

    Depending on the package you subscribed to for internet services,
    these numbers will vary in general. So, if they are lower than an
    agreed-upon upload and download bandwidth by more than 10%
    you may need to contact the ISP and ask what your deal was.
    {If your numbers are within those your monthly agreement states,
    then you are probably doing OK. Testing several different ways
    may assure you that you are getting nearly what you've paid for.}
    Some webmail or email services may limit the size of the item
    sent in an email to someone via their service. Try googlemail.
    You can also put a file into a .zip archive (.zip a folder) to send
    it under one cover. Sometimes that helps. There are other kinds
    of files and containers that can do better, by trial & error. Also,
    if the person you are sending a package to has a limit or ceiling
    on their email account, it may be you've sent them too much.
    Network congestion or time of day can also affect the internet.
    Which other bandwidth tests, on web sites - via browser, have you used?
    Some tell more information (broken down into Kbps, KB, MB, etc)
    from each pass of the test; and you can see how they may compare
    to other tests which only show one set of comparative numbers.
    When I used a test here: http://speedtest.gci.net/ to see my numbers
    they appear similar to yours. - You can choose closer cities or other
    locations to get a connection to, in some tests, such as this one:

    Some test sites use Java or Flash as part of the site's test software.

  • Keynote not responding when trying to open Power Point downloads

    I'm downloading power point presentations from my university website and trying to open them with Keynote. It starts to open it up then just stops about a third of the way through the progress bar. The activity monitor says that keynote is not responding. I tried restarting my MBP, but did not work, keynote seems to be working fine when I start it on its own, any help appreciated.

    At first I confess that I also had trouble opening the files I had in Power Point. One of them even have 1500 slides. But in Power Point opens quickly, because most are text.
    My solution: I opened the file in PowerPoint 2008 and saved it as "pptx". This is the latest version of pp. After I opened the keynote. The first time it takes to open and then gives some errors. It's just you solve, the error sources and images and save to "key" (keynote).
    I think it is. At least for me it worked.

    today i was playing my ps3 online and noticed ALOT of lag so i quit and tested my speed it was 1mg download and not even 0.1 upload. i cant play my ps3 online with that slow of upload. i did the pinhole reset and it went back up to normal and after ten min back to the unusable 0 .1

    also i noticed in the hub manager it said there was no device connected through ethernet but my ps3 is. also today i was on the ps3 online and it was fine for an hour then it startefd lagging so i did a check on the ps3 and my speed was less than 1mbps and upload was 60kbps. i have just did a check using the ps3 again just after i did the bt one and its saying 4.6mbps download and 170.3kbps upload. im wondering if its a ps3 problem? one more thing my home hub when you touch the power cord in the back it restarts the hub

    I have reinstalled win XP pro Hun SP2 ED.4 codename:Simplicity on my freshly bought toshiba laptop A110-253. My question is the following:
    How can I install the Power Saver Utility on it?
    I have downloaded the utility from the official Toshiba EU website: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
    There were 2 subcategories in the Stellite A110 series: (PSAB0) and (PSAB6)
    It confused me a little bit, though i did not worry too much about it, I tried to install both, with no success
    At the time when I aim at running the install file the following error alert pops up:
    16-bit programme cannot be run Under Windows / It should be something similar to this one in the English version /
    All the other utilies were installed properly and they run properly. I would not like to install the Windows with the help of the Recovery CD, I prefer the one that I use now.
    Having my laptop without the Power Saver Utility is rather embarrasing as I am constantly on the move and do not have the possibility to refill batteries all the time.
    I hope someone can help me.

    If you check notebook model label at the bottom side you will find right model number. I presume it must be satellite A110-253 (PSAB6E). Am I right?
    So now choose the right notebook model and download Power Saver Driver V2.42.0.4C and Power Saver Utility V7.03.07C. I presume you know that installations order is very important and if you check Installations instructions you will see that Power saver Driver is listed at first and also must be preinstalled at first.
    By the way: it is always useful to create Tools & Utilities CD before you install own OS. Doing this you must not download anything just use this CD and install all necessary stuff in listed order.
