Hi ibrahimkamel
Welcome to BlaclBerry Support Forums
If you had tried all ten attempts then it can only be Unlocked by RIM ,No one can reset the MEP counter or Unlock it except RIM. Look at this Thread which might help you. mep code is blocked .

i have a bb bold 9650 ... with zero mep tries left , could it be unlocked ??

After the ten attempts have been used and you have 0 left, you must get RIM to unlock the device.
There are two routes, and only two, to achieve this.
    * IF your device is in warranty, contact your service provider technical support. Tell them you have this issue which needs to be escalated to RIM level customer support. I'll warn you that most carrier technical support people will first assume and think you are referring to a device security unlock, and you will need to convince them otherwise and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device which has had the MEP code attempts depleted, and should (and you will need to ask) to have the case escalated to RIM level tech support.
    * If your device is out of warranty, contact RIM direct. See the Contact Us information from the website: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ The options you want to select to speak to BlackBerry Customer Care are 3 (for inquiries, orders, billing, e-RMA etc) then 5 (e-RMA and Out of Warranty).
    Make sense? Good luck.

If there was an index profile update, could you try to clear qrserver cache and redeploy views:
    - stop the qrserver,
    -delete the qrserver cache ($FASTSEARCH/var/qrserver),
-start qrserver and run the following two commands from bin:
    view-admin -m deploy -a
    view-admin -m refresh –a
You might want to do this during off peak hours.
Also, from the server(s)  running topfdispatcher can you check if you have duplicate entries in the enginerc-tld_0 file(located in %FASTSEARCH/var/searchctrl/etc)

    Hi,

PS. my cell phone now out of warrantee and the carrier is AT&T
    Thank you in Advance

    Hello Notte
    Welcome to the Community
Sorry but you should not have entered 10 wrong MEP codes,Now only RIM can Unlock the Device, but for unlocking that device from RIM will cost much, it is better to get a new device. In addition have a look at this thread ,some good reading about this MEP CODE .

  • MEP Tries 0 on Pearl 9100

Does a Blackberry store have the ability to flash devices? I just purchased this phone off eBay. The device was locked to Bell mobility which I assumed meant it just hadn't been unlocked. I received the device and there are no MEP attempts left.
Any work arounds? I'm pulling my hair out.
RIM really ought to make a solution for this. I know it seems idiotic to try the same thing 10 times, but there are some of us with different situations.

    Hello!
    Legally, no.

If you have used up all of your chances to enter the correct unlock code, there is nothing further you can do. Even if you happen to have now the correct code, it is useless. Only the factory can now (legally) unlock your BB. Typically, I've heard that the cost of having RIM do this for you will be greater than the cost of just buying a new one. But, you are able to ask them...see here:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/programs/technical/incident.jsp
Note, however, that this process will start with a fee...
If you obtained your unlock code from somewhere but it was incorrect, your recourse could be with them -- however, they may well question why you exhausted all 10 attempts before contacting them.
If your BB was already MEP locked and you obtained it from a source that represented it as being able to be unlocked, then your recourse would be with the seller you obtained it from.
    Good luck!

  • Only 3 unlock tries left!!!! HELP!

Tmobile was nice enough to give me the unlock code as I am out of the US for a year.  Only problem, the code dont work.  Tmobile customer care had me keep trying with sim cards in different places and now Im down to 3 tries left and they say there is nothing they can do.
Any idea how to unlock this phone???

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
The only way to unlock is with the correct unlock code. If the code TM supplied is incorrect, then you have to choose what to do. Trying more with that incorrect code is, of course, the epitome of the definition of insanity. Here is an FAQ with links that might be helpful:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_do_I_unlock_my_BlackBerry%3F
Whatever you do, don't exhaust the number of tries. If you do, it will be permanently locked to TM and will never be able to be unlocked from them.
    Good luck!

After the ten attempts have been used, you must get RIM to unlock the device.
There are three routes, and only three, to achieve this.
    * Purchase a MEP unlock code from a MEP unlocking vendor on the internet. Be wise and make sure you purchase from one with a good reputation and with good reviews and feedback.
• Blackberry 9300 solution for mep code (0 left)

    Hi
Blackberry 9300 solution for mep code (0 left)
    Help me please
    Thanks...

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
With zero tries left, there is only one official solution -- sending your BB to the RIM factory to have it totally reset. Your methods of requesting this service are the same as for all BB service...via your wireless service provider. If they refuse or if you have no warranty (due to a variety of reasons, this can be the case), then you must request this via paid incident support:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/programs/technical/incident.jsp
Be advised that, while I have no personal experience with this, it is my opinion that the cost of having this done will exceed the cost of just buying a new BB.
    Good luck!

  • MEP Code 0 try left

    Hi,
I received an unlock code from my nework provider Orange to unlock my BB Curve.
This is the second code I am trying but my BB shows I have 0 trys left.
Any idea what to do? my provider is very slow in giving me answers
    Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
With 0 tries left, the only official way to unlock it now is at the RIM factory. Since your provider gave you an incorrect code, you may have recourse with them to get it done. But you will have to be persistent...and patient, especially given how slow they are at answering. But, there is no other way.
    Good luck!

  • Restart after MEP code entered

    Dear all,
    I have a blackberry curve 8520 and I am experiencing a problem.
My device is locked after I accidentally used a wrong SIM-card. Now the device is asking for a MEP code (10 tries left).
I legally obtained a correct MEP code. Unfortunately the blackberry restarts/crashes immediately after the MEP code is given (this happens with any code entered, correct or incorrect like '0000').
When rebooted, the device is still asking for a MEP code and still shows that there are 10 tries left (so obviously the code is not being processed).
This seems to be a common occurring problem with multiple blackberry devices. For example see:
    - http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f489/8520-restarts-after-i-put-mep-code-1298217/
    - http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f489/hang-restart-when-entering-mep-code-1328313/
Is this a hardware problem? How can this be fixed? Do I have to send my phone to RIM? (if so, where//how)

From what I understand that I have been told, after the 10 unlock attempts, RIM is the only one who can physically remove the carrier lock, and it must be done physically by them, with the device in their hand.
I would recommend that you contact your carrier and ask for RIM level tech support, and inquire there. The forums here won't get you that support.
